Year of Wonder Woman

Day 99: Fastis

one of the Amazons of Paradise Island, Fastis like her fellow Amazons received a broadcast on her mental radio from Queen Hippolyta. For the mental radios are all programmed to operate on the same telepathic frequency, meaning communication to one mental radio, is relayed across all mental radios.

Queen Hippolyta announced that under Aphrodites decree, one among the Amazons will transport a wounded man from the island back to the outside world. And acting as Aphrodites champion, remain there to fight to make the world a better place.

Fastis like many other Amazons, jumped at the chance to serve Aphrodite, and work to better the world, and thus joined a tournament held at Hippolytas decree to determine which amongst the Amazons was worthy of the honor.

The tournament included sports such as Kanga jousting (working to unseat your rivals)

Wrestling

And a lasso jump contest. (Like reverse Limbo, with you leaping higher and higher to avoid an oncoming lasso.

And that old classic, Bullets and Bracelets (Opponents will take turns shooting one another with pistols while their opposite works to deflect the bullets.)

Unfortunately for Fastis, despite her skills in wrestling, she lost in the second round to Mala who handily defeated her. Only for herself to be defeated by a disguised Diana in the final round.

With the tournament decided, Diana removed her disguise, revealing that despite her mother specifically telling her not to compete, she did it anyway.

And thus, Diana was given the garments which Hippolyta fashioned at Aphrodites instruction, making her Aphrodites champion.

Though we never see her again, Fastis deserves a mention for her willingness to head out into the outside world in an effort to better it to the best of her ability.

Day 100: Mars
Formerly known as Ares, the god of war took the name Mars after enslaved the martian race and conquered their planet!
Mars is the god of violence, bigotry, hatred, misogyny, and of course, War.

When the first specks of life were being born in the universe, Mars was there, implanting the capacity for violence, the desire to cause pain to others and the hunger for war and death into all life.
Mars is a god of immense power whose presence is felt across the universe for wherever there is war, Mars will thrive.

But he is not simply content to sit back and revel in violence, oh no. Mars himself has a great thirst for War. For violence. For the need to spread death and destruction. Reveling as he expands his control over the stars and expands into the mystical realms his terrible rule.

For the power of Mars is great. Not only does he dwarf Wonder Woman in strength in power, but he is ever immortal, and invulnerable to any weapon. So great is his power that even other gods are helpless to do more than seal him away, and even then none may hold him for more than a short time.

Even powers of the mind are useless against Mars who does not even notice their use. In fact, he has within his power, the ability to painfully burn away mental abilities. Something he takes a perverse pleasure in as the mind is something he loathes.

For with a mind, people are capable of thinking. Of using reason. Of coming to the conclusion that there are ways of resolving a conflict without war and slaughtering one another.
Mars believes this to be a mistake. A defect in life that was implanted into them by deities of Wisdom and Intelligence.
He speaks with certainty to his followers that brains serve no purpose. That education gets in the way of lifes true purpose. To do what he tells them and spread war across the universe.

But even more than the mind, the one thing Mars hates more than anything else is the heart. The capacity for love, affection, compassion. The willingness to help the unfortunate and give unto others. The desire to bring about peace and better the world.

Mars has been at war with love and its goddess Aphrodite since before the Earth first saw life aside from the gods. While Aphrodite attempts to raise life up, proving that all life including humans have within them the ability to rise up from those base impulses instilled in them by the god of war, Mars insists that humanity and all life in the universe are little more than savage animals. That foolish notions such as love, mercy, ethics, law, intelligence, wisdom and civilization are false. Something Mars intends to prove by stamping out all aspects of it across the universe.

Mars instills into people that if you want something you should take it. That it is the only law is the strong take from the weak. That women are weaker than men and thus, the exist to be slaves to men. Mars speaks with conviction that women are weaker than men. Most especially because his enemies Athena and Aphrodite are themselves women. He delights in making them into slaves, goading the goddesses that he so easily turns women into nothing but cattle.

Over the years Mars has taken many wives. Ever treating them like property, he will keep them around until they have 'served their purpose of spawning his offspring' and then cast them aside as useless chattel.

Loathing the concept of identity and names as it gives others the foolish notion of self worth and the capacity to identify with others, he will grant his children titles and duties such as the Earl of Greed or the Lord of Conquest. Commanding them to serve his will, and expects them to develop no thoughts of their own.

The greatest power of Mars however, is his servants. Those who have served his will in life and continue to do so in death. For Mars has the ability to grant the souls of the dead new bodies, forming for him an army. Anyone who has died in war be it as a participant or an innocent falls under his power, and become subject to his will.

He will gather up the souls of the fallen. Crush their sense of self worth and identity. burn the capacity to think for themselves from their minds. Bleed the capacity for love from their hearts and make them revel in spreading death in the name of hatred and prejudice.

Then he will resurrect them anew, giving them new life in new forms, and send them off to the worlds of his choosing to spread war and death as one of his followers. His followers will pass unnoticed amongst those planets, killing in war.

Which brings more fallen souls under his control and allows him to break them into his service and send them off to spread war and death. Until in the end, the only ones left are those who Mars put under his control, making the planet his.

Just as he did with the planet Mars.

Mars has conquered dozens of worlds and mystical realms. Has enslaved under his boot great champions and dark demons alike.
Whole worlds under his control are engaged in unending wars with one another for the right to be fed. With his warring slaves being revived immediately after their deaths to continue fighting ever more.
Mars has spread war across the universe, growing his empire and increasing the presence of war and violence throughout. Spreading his ideology and stamping out love and compassion as he goes.

The only mortal to ever stand in his way has been Wonder Woman, the champion of Aphrodite who stands for love and compassion. Never has anyone living earned Mars full hatred and wrath.
For only she has succeeded in stealing a soul from his grasp.

Mars for all his power could simply kill Wonder Woman outright. But that is not his goal. He does not want to simply kill Wonder Woman. He wants to destroy her. He wants to break her entirly, as a message to Aphrodite, proving that even her champion lacks the 'falsehoods' of love and compassion.

To do this, Mars simply wants her to fight. To strike out in anger. To resolve a conflict using violence.
For as the champion of Aphrodite, Wonder Woman must be the ambassador of peace. A hero who strives to better the world and act through pacifism. A hero who can resolve conflict through diplomacy and reason.

For Mars knows if he can make Wonder Woman resolve a conflict through violence. With hated and wrath in her heart, Wonder Woman will be forced to accept that violence can resolve conflict. Thus, Wonder Woman gives ground in her beliefs.

And situations will continue to come her way where the path to peaceful resolution is difficult to find and knowing violence worked once to deal with a problem, she will do it again. And again. And again. Until it becomes easier for her. Until the act of hurting someone does not seem like a bad thing. Until she starts to believe that conflict can only be resolved through violence.

Thus begins the next step. Putting Wonder Woman in a situation where the only solution is to kill. For a Wonder Woman who has accepted violence into her heart, finding a peaceful solution becomes all the more uncommon thus, it becomes even harder to find a solution when violence alone isn't the answer. Thus, Wonder Woman with no other choice, would be brought to kill for the greater good.

As with violence, killing is done with reluctance. At first. But soon, Wonder Woman would accept killing as a last resort. And on the cycle would go as she is put into conflict after conflict where seemingly the only solution is to take a life. And with every life taken, it becomes all the easier for her until soon enough, Wonder Woman carries a sword at all time and steals the lives of others without a moments hesitation.

Engaging in war, Wonder Woman would eventually abandon Aphrodites teachings of love, compassion and peace. View her fellow Amazons as backwards and barbaric. She would look on to Mars not as an enemy, but as a dear friend. An ally. A father.

She would buy into his dogma that it is kill or be killed.
Aspire to abhorrent and more grotesque levels of violence.
And rack up a never ending number of execution points.

And that is what would happen if Wonder Woman was to strike out in anger. To resolve a conflict through violence and abandon the path of pacifism and peace.

For much like how Lex Luthor tries to break Superman by forcing him into a situation where he can't save everyone.
Or how Joker attempts to break Batman by forcing him into a situation where he must take a life.
Mars desires to break Wonder Woman, the greatest of all heroes by forcing her into a situation where she has no choice but to abandon the ways of peace and pacifism.

Mars is a villain of incredible terrible power. A villain who has caused nothing but pain and agony to countless billions alive and dead.
Mars stands on par with Darkseid and the Anti Monitor as one of the most fearsome and terrible entities in the DC universe, and every life lost in war only adds to his horrible power.

Day 101: Satan
Former prince of the infernal realm which houses the souls of evil, Satan found his realm invaded by the armies of Mars, as the god of war himself stormed his fiery gates with the goal to conquer.

Overwhelmed by the sheer power of Mars and his forces, Satan and his minions were enslaved into the service of the god of war. His will broken at Mars hand, Satan is now a mere soldier in the gods armies, his power and position but a distant memory.

For dealing with someone as lowly as Satan was childs play for Mars, a god. And knowing well that Satan was not exactly popular, he planned his invasion, safe in the knowledge that none would come to his aid.

And with that victory, Mars had obtained yet another source of souls to force into his service.
The Infernal realm yet another of Mars new territories.

Day 102: General Destruction

One of the many thousands of generals within the armies of Mars, General Destruction is one of Mars collectors. Generals who leading their armies of slave ships through the astral plane, will go to a planet and harvest the dead from war zones. Be they participant or collateral damage.


Gathering up the lost souls, they will force them into slavery in Mars name where they will sleep in standing coffins, go without food, and force them to wear weighted chains of lead weights.


Upon arriving on Mars, those who were enslaved will be granted a new physical form, and slaves will be categorized between the strong and the weak.

Those slaves who are deemed to weak to service Mars as proper soldiers, are deemed useless slaves and are to spend their existence servicing him. Be it as a servant doing the bidding of those who have Mars favor, or as a craftsman forging his weapons of war and barges to enslave whole worlds.

They will be allows a bowl of slop once a day, made from the leftover table scraps of those who have earned Mars favor.

Those slaves who are considered strong are sent to the collisum, where they will be judged for their strength and willingness to kill. For the slaves will be put through battles to the death, and judged by their ability, strength and willingness to kill. Those who show even a sliver of compassion or an ounce of insolence will be merrily burned alive, and then granted a new body, to go through the trails until they are happy to kill, and have unquestioning obedience towards Mars, their one true master.

And those warrior slaves who are broken will be distributed between Mars most prized commanders.

Lord of Conquest takes only the finest warriors.

Duke of Deception is given the weakest and lousiest of fighters.

And the Earl of Greed gets the rest which makes up more than half of those forces.

Called before Mars, General Destruction was ordered to explain why there has been a delay on the conquest of Earth. For the number of people killed in war has been decreasing, and his efforts to conquer the planet seem to have stalled.

General Destruction standing before Mars, explains that it is because of Wonder Woman, who has been working to bring about peace through love and compassion.

Mars, knowing Aphrodite dogma when he heard it, declared that Wonder Woman must be an Amazon! Declaring that all of Aphrodites followers are weakened by love, he orders General Destruction to go to the Earth, find the one person Diana loves the most, and force them into his service.

And General Destruction does just that. Heading back to earth, he stalks Diana in his astral form which makes him invisible. He finds out she is madly in love with Steve Trevor and the moment their parted, he shoves a sword through Steves back, killing him. Grabbing his soul and dragging it off before anyone else could lay claim to it, he hurries back to his slave barge with Steve in tow, heading for Mars.

Wonder Woman, stricken with grief, uses the power of science to try and save Steve, which restores his body but he still remains unconscious.

With science failing her, Wonder Woman turns to religion, and beseeches Aphrodite for help.

Appearing before Diana, Aphrodite explains that Steve was taken by Mars, and that he was now locked away within the war gods domain. Diana declared then that she would go after him, Determined to rescue her love.

Aphrodite warns Diana gravley, that within Mars domain, no other god has power, and that she would be unable to aid Wonder Woman if the worst happens. Diana, embracing Aphrodite, thanks her goddess and heads for Mars to rescue Steve Trevor!

Disguising herself as one of Mars slaves, Wonder Woman initially sneaks in, plotting to simply spirit Steve away, only to be recognized by the Duke of Deception who has a penchant for recognizing acts of deception given his nature.

Thus, it soon becomes a desperate struggle as Wonder Woman frees Steve from Mars slave dungeons and makes a run for the barges, commandeering one and fleeing from the wrath of Mars himself. Escaping the planet just before Mars could imprison Diana forever.

With that, Wonder Woman became the first person to ever escape Mars realm. And the first to ever wrest a soul from his grasp. A humiliation to Mars which made the war god swear to destroy her.

Bringing Steves astral self back to his body, Wonder Woman restores Steve to life, proving that love can triumph over war.

However, that would not be the end of General Destruction who continued to command his fleet to collect the souls lost in war on earth. Adding to Mars ever growing forces.

Day 103: Mola Chissler

Formerly wealthy socialite and professional rich person, Mola is in love with the high end life style of wealth and fancy parties. Unfortunately, she does not have many other talents, so her fortune dried up. So investing in a hefty insurance policy on her jewelry, she hires a pair of thus to 'break into her apartment' and steal her valuables, so she might collect the insurance, and gain a fortune.

And her plan would have worked, were it not for a happenstance of bad luck. For on that same day, Etta Candy was celebrating her latest sixteenth birthday. (I say latest, because she notoriously lies about her age, and has sworn to remain in college until she has at least a masters in every course the Holliday college teaches) when she awakens to an agonizing pain. For her love of sweets finally caught up with her and she obtained a cavity in one of her molars.

Scheduling a prompt visit to a dentist and mourning that she would miss out on her birthday party, she schedules a visit with Doctor Molar and getting to the building, she manages to get the room numbers mixed up (A bad habit of hers.) and seeing the name Mola Chissler on a plaque, she assumed that must be the dentist.

So heading inside the unlocked room, she finds a couple of thugs with guns holding a woman at gun point. The pair seeing Etta, panic, and began shooting at Etta who annoyed that they were getting in her way of having a cavity removed, lays out the pair of them with a 1-2 punch.

Mistaking Mola for a dentist, Etta steps over the unconscious gunmen and explains 'my molar is bad and rotten.' which Mola misunderstands, and assumes that Etta was on to her scheme!

Screaming 'look over there!' To get Ettas attention, she winds up her fist and slugs Etta hard in the jaw, intending to lay her unconscious, and even managing to knock a tooth out. Running for a gun, she grabs one and takes a shot at Etta but not having time to be shot with a painful cavity to deal with, Etta ducks down and charges, knocking Mola into a wall and leaving her unconscious.

Just in time for the police to arrive, having received a phone call about the gun shots. Declaring Etta a hero, they ask if she would like to remain for the press to arrive but uninterested, Etta instead asks for the dentists room number and goes to fulfill her appointment.

When she arrives, Doctor Molar declares with some surprise that he can see no evidence of a cavity, as it turns out that the tooth she lost from Mola striking her, just happened to be the bad tooth in question. Overjoyed, Etta Candy heads back, to celebrate a birthday with all her friends from he Holliday girls, to Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor, and Philip Darnell. A celebration of candies of all sorts.


I dearly hope she brushes her teeth more often. ^^;

I cannot help but wonder if people often suffer from mistaken identities like that in the Golden Age. Having a very specific name like Mola Chissler but having nothing at all to do with dentistry. I can't help but muse that there might be a whole range of people who suffer from such misunderstandings.

104: Tiva

Martian of the planet Mars, Tiva was born into slavery, serving as a servant in Mars palace, with the job of serving food and doing whatever loathsome things Mars and his favored few demand of her.

One day Tivas secret had gotten out. That she had been secretly smuggling food to the prisoners. Prisoners who were locked away and forced to painfully starve to death. To be brought back to life and forced to die a long painful death over and over again.

Mars was outraged. Not that one of his slaves had been stealing food. Oh no, what had Mars truly upset was the idea that one of his slaves. Within the heart of his realm, who was the latest in generations of enslaved Martians, did an act of compassion and gave to others out of generosity. An act of kindness.


Mars who loathed the very idea of such acts, had activly forbidden such behavior and he would destroy this trait no matter what.

Thus, he decided she belonged in the arenas, fighting alongside his soldiers which he called an 'act of kindness.'

Tiva whose entire life was nothing but slavery in the halls of the palace, stood little chance and fighting against the strongest of warriors, she would do the traditional bout of standing upon a stone pillar at the middle of the coliseum, with a sea of fire burning below. A feature which struck mortal terror into the hearts of all Martians.

Tiva hesitant to fight and petrified with fear, stood little chance against one of Mars toy soldiers and was soon cast into the fires below, where she died a painful death of being burned alive.

And once her soul was fished out of the sea of fire, she was granted a new body and the next day, she was sent to fight again. And again. And again. Every time, she would fail and die a burning death, chipping away at her will until finally one day, her fear of suffering over rode her fear and hesitation to harm another. Tiva desperately attacked the warrior. Fighting with everything she had, and managing to have them both fall into the sea of flame where they burned painfully.

Mars, pleased, had Tiva fight again the next day but instead of one of his soldiers, she stood before one of the prisoners she had given food to. Looking at her pleading for mercy, the starved prisoner was to weak to do anything to defend himself. And Tiva, driven to the point that she would do anything to avoid being burned alive once again and suffering the feeling of her skin drying and cracking and burning from the fire that consumed her....Cast the prisoner to the flames.

And after her first victory, she was rewarded. The servants she had once worked beside now provided her a feast, a reward for killing. And it was the first true meal Tiva had eaten in her entire life.


Mars would provide the rest of the prisoners she had aided in order, and defeating them all and casting them to the flames, she was rewarded every time. Her hesitation in committing murder eventually disappearing completely, and she began to find joy in these acts. Associating the killing of her foes with the feast that awaited her.

Eventually, she was put against slaves he was breaking in to become his loyal warriors and Tiva with her single minded ferocity and zero hesitation, sent many to their deaths, treating them to the same lesson which had been burned into her very being.

This pleased Mars who saw Tiva's newfound savagery as proof that his ideals were true. That compassion and kindness were illusions that fell before what he saw as the the true nature of life.

Day 105: Elva King
Daughter of the circus master of the King circus, Elva King is an elephant tamer who enjoys her work, loves the elephants dearly, and is popular with audiences. A hard working woman who is passionate about her career and would be happy to keep at it for her entire life.

Unfortunately for Elva, she suffers the advances of loathsome men who insist that she belongs in the kitchen as a housewife, and that she should just let others provide for her as she raises a barrel of children.

Elva, having no interest in settling down or retiring, brushes aside these loathsome offers and suffers from one asshat in particular trying to kill the elephants in an effort to end her career.

Fortunately, Wonder Woman finds out about Elvas problem and sets the jerk straight, AND deals with the mob attempting to gun down the circus for not paying protection money. AND deals with an animal rights organization that believes the elephants are better off dead than in captivity.

But in the end even efforts on multiple fronts to end Elvas career and take away her independence fell before Wonder Woman and her refusal to let bullies harm animals or chain a woman down.

106: King Blakfu

King of the mole men who rule the Underworld, Blakfu's people are decended from humans who thousands ago lived in a city in 'the western east' which in a great earthquake, fell beneath the Earth. Those who survived would go on to evolve and adapt to their new conditions and lives. and over a period of many generations, those changes became more evident as they adapted.

With a lack of sunlight, their skin became ghastly pale, and would burn in the light of the sun.

Their hair fell out, leaving them bald.

Their eyes, which were useless to them in the lightless underground, would regress until they were rendered completely blind, relying on sound and scent to guide them.

And between their fingers they would develop retractable claws like a moles which allowed them to dig through stone and cut through the hardest of metals like it was nothing but butter, allowing them to effortlessly tunnel through the earth.

The mole people would under their rulers rule, dig to expand their underground demness under their kings instruction and by the present day, their Underworld domain encapsulated the earth just below the rigid mantle.


The current king, king Blakfu looked to his people who struggled with supporting themselves and felt sorrow. For while they were still knowledgable in the sciences, having maintained the invention of electro plating, and gone on to tap into electro static and magnetism as sources of power, food was scarce underground and his people struggled even after thousands of years to take care of themselves due to their blindness.

Thus, Blakfu courted ideas of conquering the surface world and claiming it for his people. Never mind that they would need to be cautious due to their skins sensitivity to the sun, his only concern was his own people. Thus he ordered his men to dig a tunnel to the surface! But what should happen but for a building to come down! Fortunately, the structure withstood the damage, and its residents were unharmed. Those would be the first humans to see the Mole Men.

Blakfu, discovering the humans, ordered torches be brought for those with sight, and enslaved them, requiring them to serve the Mole Men in doing the tasks that they were incapable of. Such as farming which was quite arduous for a people who could not see.

Blakfu delighted in this, declaring that his people would no longer suffer the hardship of stumbling in the dark, unable to feed themselves. and plotted to kidnap more.

But amongst the humans, one caught his eye. Calla, a woman who voiced wit and intelligence which fascinated Blakfu who pined for her. But deciding his duty came first, he would not speak of his feelings and simply put her in charge of the human prisoners to make sure they were well cared for and did not step out of line.


All prisoners would be bound in special chains which if broken, would break a circuit connecting the prisoners manacles, which would cause their manacles to act as powerful magnets, pulling them downwards and rending them unable to move.

Thus Blakfu plotted to take over the world, enslave the humans, and make their resources those of the mole mens.

His target? Washington DC where at that very moment, the Holliday Girl marching band led by Etta Candy were throwing a patriotic parade at the request of Philip Darnell for a friends birthday party.

Opening a large hole in the center of it, the Holliday girls went tumbling down deep into the earth where the mole men were waiting with giant safty nets to capture them as they fell below!

Wonder Woman, naturally being there since Etta was in attendance, leaped in after the Holliday girls and letting herself be bound, plays along until she discovers the situation. Once Wonder Woman has a grasp of the situation, she removes her manacles and freeing the prisoners, she makes her way through the mole mens defenses and lassos the king!

Commanding him to surrender, Blakfu does, and Wonder Woman takes her hostage into a medical room where she conducts a delicate operation! Using her talents as a surgeon, Wonder Woman performs an operation on Blakfus eyes which much to his astonishment, restores his sight, allowing him to see for the very first time! The first thing he saw being Calla, the king was astonished by her beauty.

Wonder Woman, releasing Blakfu, proceeds to perform the same operation on several more of his subjects, including doctors, and trains them in how to perform this operation themselves so they could give this surgery to others, and allow future mole men the gift of sight.

Once she was done, Wonder Woman began to take the former prisoners back to the surface, but Calla refused to leave. Having fallen for Blakfu herself.

The king of the mole men declared that he would make Calla his queen and that they would rule as equals. He swore to rule with love and compassion, which pleased Wonder Woman who declared that leading with love and compassion would lead to a better world.

Day 107: Lord of Conquest
Son of Mars and an unnamed martian woman, Lord of Conquest (Also known as the Count of Conquest when he manages to piss Mars off.) Is the war gods golden child.

He has incredible strength. A keen mind for tactics. A dedication to war unmatched by any save for Mars himself. And he is the only one of Mars three children to actually defeat Wonder Woman.
He is granted only the strongest of Mars soldiers. and takes pride in his talents and abilities.

The Lord of Conquest matches Wonder Woman in sheer strength. Though he lacks the invulnerability of his father which presents itself in the form of a terrible glass jaw. Skilled with all manner of weaponry, and noted for his ability to lead soldiers, the Lord of Conquest has the ability possessed by all gods to switch between physical and astral form freely at will and travel in either form. Capable of passing unseen anywhere he wishes. He can also instill in others a desire to conquer and a desire to fight for the sheer glory and elation of conquest and battle.

His greatest power however, is the power of Conquest. For The Lord of Conquest has the ability to overlap with the body of another and 'conquer it' essentially possessing it, to control it as he wills. When he does so, his own strength is added to the person he is conquering.
This means he could potentially be far stronger than Wonder Woman or even Mars if he could find someone who equaled him in strength. Fortunately for the world, there is no mortal man in Wonder Womans mythos who has that physical ability.

I specify man because The Lord of Conquest outright refuses to enter the body of a woman under any circumstances. For above all else, he is afraid of being seen as a sissy or girly by taking a female form. This is also why he doesn't simply conquer Wonder Womans body and take it for his own.

When he possesses someone, the only way to break his hold over the victim is to strike the one the Lord of Conquest is possessing with enough force that it renders them unconscious. Upon which, Conquest will be thrown from the body but unharmed, as he wasn't the one being punched.

Strong, Viscious, obsessed with war, he is practically a carbon copy of Mars in many ways and has earned Mars respect for how he turned out.

What Mars does not realize however, is that The Lord of Conquest does this out of loyalty to Mars. A virtue that the war god would not appreciate. For the Lord of Conquest truly sees Mars as his father as distant and terrible as the war god might be.
His development into a warrior wasn't mere happenstance, he idolizes Mars and desperately tries to be more like him. To fight like him. To be as strong as him. To command like him.
If his father hates women, then he will hate women. If his father is a misogynist, The Lord of Conquest will be just as much a misogynist for the sake of being more like his father Mars, whose approval Conquest craves.

For The Lord of Conquests loyalty to Mars is so great, that even if the War God was to lose his position, his power, and all he had obtained, The Lord of Conquest would still follow Mars without question, just for the sake of making Mars proud.

He is someone who focuses on the terrible conquest of planets, delighting in the worlds he conquers in Mars name, and dedicates himself to his work all to hear a 'Thats my boy~' From his father the god of war.

He also delights in his siblings getting into trouble. Not because he enjoys their punishment, but because he wants to be the favorite. The preferred son of his father. And the failures of his brothers secures his own position.
It is almost tragic that this most horrible villain who has slaughtered millions and crushed whole worlds underfoot is doing it all for the love of a father who rejects the very concept.

Of all Wonder Womans villains, the Lord of Conquest is the one whose absence in the modern age I am most baffled by. He has a very original power which would make him an incredible threat in a shared universe. And while there are some characters whose abilities resemble his. (Deadman, Jericho) None of them can actually strengthen the one they possess. Combine that with his desperate need for Mars/Ares approval, and you have a villain who would be a real treat to explore as a character.

Day 108: Wife of Conquest
Known only as the wife of the Lord of Conquest, as her name had long since been stripped from her, to keep her from developing a sense of identity or self worth. She is a martian who was chosen by the Lord of Conquest who declared she was his property now, for him to do with as he pleases.

As under Mars edicts, women are little more than property, this was considered normal.
Thus she would live a life harsher than her time as a slave. Forbidden to show any form of emotion and expected to act like a perfect silent robot, dutifully fulfilling the Lord of Conquests needs. She would be beaten whenever the Lord of Conquest felt like it. And treated as lowlier than a dog.

This would continue until one day, she made the mistake of laughing. Not at him, but just laughing in general. This enraged the Lord of Conquest beyond words and declaring he was done with her, he had her sent to the dungeons to suffer the fate of starving to death, and being brought back to life to starve again continuously. By the Lord of Conquests deceleration, he had thrown her aside, intending to replace her with a new wife who would not think for herself or display emotion without his permission.

During Wonder Womans mission on Mars to rescue Steve, She stumbles upon the former wife of the lord of Conquest and frees her, spiriting her away to safty and promising her a life of freedom and love, where she would never have to suffer at the hands of a man ever again.

However, the wife of Conquest refuses and first chance she got, she ran away, back to the Lord of Conquest, convinced that he would be proud of her for choosing to return, and decide to take her back.

Her story is but a sad footnote, but it strikes a painful emotional chord with me. I know such situations truly exist in reality, but I simply cannot understand why someone would choose to run back to an abuser and an abusive relationship. One where their whole life is controlled and they are treated like nothing but property.

Her fate is never revealed, but I cannot hope that she someday breaks free of his hold and finds a way out of that terribly toxic relationship.

Day 109: Jim Blake
Also known as Agent X49, Jim Blake is an american spy who snuck into Berlin. Taking advantage of his aryan appearance and the nazis obsession with blue eyes and blond hair, Jim Blake would keep tabs on what nazi forces were plotting, sending that information back to allied forces.

Jim was actually close friends with Steve Trevor, as the two of them were among those handpicked by military forces and trained as spies specifically for their appearance, as nazi ideology prized people based on hair and eye color. So training them to speak fluent German, they had been sent behind enemy lines to gather vital information and report back.

This is actually what lead to Steve landing on Paradise Island, as he had been behind enemy lines posing as a German official as he rifled through their files to gain information on a Japanese scientist working for a nazi terrorist cell led by the Baroness who was plotting to poison American water supplies, which he was nearly killed trying to report.

To get back to Jim himself, he contacted his superior officer, Phillip Darnell, head of military intelligence with information. That hitler and his top officials would be having a special meeting involving plans to topple America.
Steve, hearing about this, declared that this would be their best chance for taking out the nazi regime in one fell swoop, and suggested they sent a small team into Germany to deal with it.

However, Darnell pointed out that that it would be impossible for them to quietly get any kind of aircraft into the heart of nazi germany unseen when who should arrive but Wonder Woman! (Shortly after Diana Prince stepped out coincidentally enough.) And pointing out that she has an invisible plane, she insists just her and Steve could easily take care of things and thus, the pair flew off to Germany, intending to capture the highest ranking officials in the nazi regime, and wrap up the war before dinner.

Meeting up with Jim Blake, they get information from him about where the meeting will be held and he gives them a secret route into the place through a design flaw in the building the meeting was being held in that created a gap between floors just the right size to crawl through.

Sneaking in, the two of them are about to bust hitler and the rest of his cronies...When they are discovered by Mars forces~! For in reality unbeknownest to anyone including the nazis themselves, they were secretly being aided by the god of war who placing hitler under his protection, worked to ensure he would survive assassination attempts and protected him from harm for the sake of making the war continue to build his forces and consume the world. Seeing hitler and the nazis as but pawns in a much larger game.

Thus Mars men caused a minor explosion which made the nazis suspect a failed assassination attempt and evacuate. Buying time to hide Hitler as the vile forces of Mars stalled Wonder Woman long enough to prevent her from ending the war right then and there.

Sadly despite Wonder Womans best efforts, Mars had his power focused on aiding hitler and even her great power had difficulty in her efforts to end the war in such a quick and easy way as capturing the entire nazi regime.

Day 110: Professor Wise
The other astronomy professor of the Holliday College, Proffessor Wise is an oddity in the astronomic community whose approach to the field is quite unorthadox. Unlike his forward thinking colleague Professor Astronomo, Professor Wise takes a different approach to his scientific field which makes him unique even among professors of the Holliday school.

Instead of focusing on key pieces of Astronomy like space pollution and the environmental effects of a space highway, and the dangers of ripping holes in the ozone layer, Professor Wise instead works from his observatory and...studies the stars, their progress in the sky, the rotation of the planets and the behavior of other celestial objects.

No crazy insane inventions or incredible adventures. The closest thing to an incredible discovery which he has made was discovering a new comet. A completely normal and mundane comet.

He gives fair grades and is a good teacher, though his ordinary nature really makes him stand out amongst his peers in the college.

Day 111: Earl of Greed
Child of the god Mars and an unnamed Martian woman, The Earl of Greed is a god who by his very nature, is the personification of greed, envy, jealousy, and the never ending desire to have it all.

The Earl of Greed embodies and instills in others an overpowering sense of greed, envy, desire, and the desperate need to hoard what you have for yourself.

While he lacks any physical ability and is not a fighter by any means, The Earl of Greed is the most pervasive of Wonder Womans enemies, as his influence is everywhere. For the Earl of Greed can simply appear anywhere that the temptation of greed will manifest. Unseen even by other gods when he chooses to, he will whisper into the ears of those who are susceptible to greeds calls, convincing them to give into temptation.

He also commands the Imps envy and jealousy. Magical manifestations of the mind which born from the very thoughts they are named for, silently work to guide their creators to committing the most vile of acts to satisfy themselves.

He applauds bribery and corruption. And the value of money outshining anything else. As far as the Earl of Greed is concerned, be it war or peace, Greed will prosper and continue to flourish.

He effortlessly spreads his influence across the cosmos and on Earth this wicked god boasts to have made the worlds leaders little more than puppets to his commands. He takes credit for every atrocity commited in the name of greed. Be it a desire for money, land, slaves. He is responsible.

In fact, the Earl of Greed boasts that it was he acting under Mars orders that caused World War 2 to happen. Whispering in the minds of the greedy to give into the desires and just take what they want.

Every criminal who does things to make money or out of a desire to gain something they do not have? Unknowing pawns of the Earl of Greed.

While he cannot fight, he commands most of Mars soldiers, greedily insisting that he needs the most for his operations, not caring that the Lord of Destruction takes the cream of the crop. So long as the Earl of Greed has the most, he is perfectly content. For in all things, the Earl of Greed will not be satisfied until he has as much as he can get.

His greatest ability by far however, would have to be his pragmatism and knowing when to cut his losses. He is concerned only with gaining vast wealth and has no interest in anything else. He plays it cautious and avoids fighting, choosing instead to manipulate and corrupt to get his way.

When Mars orders the Earl of Greed to capture Wonder Woman, he convinces Mars that he needs finances for his operation and getting paid he...takes advantage of Mars lacking omniscience and blows him off to instead invest his time in a scheme to make even more money, coming back to Mars later claiming to have been defeated.

The Earl of Greed is only on his own side and could care less whether war or love prevails. He works for Mars for the benefits, but would not hesitate to double cross him if someone can give him a good offer. And then double cross them as well. For The Earl of Greed cares naught about dogma or loyalty or love. He simply wants to fill his pockets.

The Earl of Greed only has one weakness and that is acts of good will and charity. The willingness to do right by someone who helped you and the desire to aid others who are in need with no thought of benefiting yourself. The voice of greed is deafened by such acts which serve to bar him from those who answer the call to do right by others.

That wicked voice which whispers temptations in your ear...

Day 112: Berta Hale
Gold medal olympic weight lifting champion hailing from the united states, Berta is able to lift a wopping 314 lbs, her personal record.

Berta Hale at the request of the government, took a team of Americas greatest olympic athletes and journyed to Paradise Island...To compete against the Amazons in athletic competitions to see just how talented the Amazons were!

The competitions in question were naturally olympian in nature (Though tragically lacking in the traditional olympic competitive garb.) with events such as running, weight lifting, wrestling, and the pole vault.

Upon arriving on the island, berta and her fellow athletes were met with much female gaze and open oggling from the Amazons who were awed by their muscles. For on Paradise Island, muscle is scene as an attractive physical trait to see on a woman. A trait seldom seen on the island due to most of the amazons Diana included, lacking the ability to develop visible muscle.

Hippolyta herself gazing upon Berta complimented the champion for her captivating beauty.

Tragically for the American athletes however, all Amazons have the physical abilities of Wonder Woman which includes being able to run sixty miles per hour, able to leap ten stories into the air, the reflexes to deflect a speeding bullet, and the ability to lift at least one ton effortlessly.

Even with the Amazons using a handicap of donning heavy chains on their arms and legs to hobble themselves, it was a very one sided competition.

This meant that out of one hundred and thirty six competitions, the American athletes under Berta Hale only won five of them. Which to be fair is still quite impressive given every single Amazon they were competing against rivaled Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman explained that because Amazons channel their mental energy into their muscles, they will always be stronger because brain is far superior to brawn.

Queen Hippolyta then invites the American athletes to remain with them on the island for a time, to train with the Amazons and learn their ways.

And Berta Hale speaking for the assembled athletes, agreed, much to the delight of the Amazons.

I think Berta is quite alot of fun and wish she would pop up again one of these days.

Day 113: Aletra

Adorable young Amazonette, Aletra is one of the many children of the Amazons who were clay brought to life with Aphrodites blessing.

She is also one of the many Amazons who participated in the Amazonian harvest festival. A festival held once a year in the autumn, in the name of Demeter.

The harvest begins with the young Amazonian children being welded inside solid steel vegetables and placed upon a grand table before their mothers who encourage the young ones as they burst free to leap into their parents arms, to symbolize the wonderful bounty their mothers obtained those years ago.

The young amazons would then begin to participate in the a sporting event specifically for the young children, who are cheered on and encouraged by the whole island to do their best.

Events such as Saddle Rabbit racing,

being chained up and tossed into a tank of water to escape

And a high dive that goes five stories into the air.

Aletra of all the young Amazons was the most talented and with the encouragement of her mother and the whole island, managed to come first in every event! Much to the envy of a young Gerta Von Gunther who swore one day to outdo her fellow five year old!

I just want to emphasize how important socialization, events and society as a whole is to Wonder Woman and the Amazons. These are a people who constantly engage in sports and group activities to socialize as much as to enjoy healthy competition. And when a festival happens, the whole island is there to show their encouragement for each and every one of the competitors.

Everyone even those who fail are given praise, and the act of socializing is an integral part of their culture. For the Amazons, the whole society is one tight knit group who knows eachother well and places their unwavering faith in their fellows.

This likewise applies to the children as for the Amazons, the child of one is the child of all. And while ones bond to their mother is indeed a deep and special relationship, all the Amazons will share their familial love. For the Amazons are all about love.

Day 114: Rena

In the far flung future of 1970, The United States of America and the worlds second largest superpower Argentina had decided to put aside their differences!

Thus, Argentina sent an envoy to the states with a peace treaty by the name of Don Alvardo. Only for him to be kidnapped by Rena, a woman enslaved, she had her life stolen from her and identity crushed beneath the boot heel of brainwashing. Her family murdered before her eyes and presumably her puppy as well for good measure.


The monster responsible was none other than the mysterious supervillain Madame Aterg! (Lets just take a moment to appreciate the brilliant subterfuge of this name.)

A villain whose modus operandi was identical to the methods used by Paula Von Gunther when she was working for the nazis, the mysterious Madame Aterg boasted that she would reduce the world to ashes!


Though some initially suspected Paula Von Gunther, she was innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt due to the simple fact that she died in a freak accident, and was unable to attain medical attention in time.

In truth, the mysterious Madame Aterg was none other than...Gerta Von Gunther! Who faced with the loss of her mother of whom her entire life revolved around, decided the world was better off dead! having 'only the capacity for familial love' which made her relationship with her mother the only thing she was passionate about, and a very obsessive one track mind, Gerta now planned to destroy the world!

Wonder Woman catching wind of the mysterious Madame Aterg's kidnapping plot, deduced that it might possibly be Gerta Von Gunther and hurried over to the Von Gunther estate to rescue Don Alvardo!

During the scuffle confrontation, Rena snapping out of her brainwashing, turned her gun on Gerta and shot her in the heart!

Dying in Wonder Womans arms, Gerta apologized to Wonder Woman, and said she had nothing else to live for before she passed...

Back in the present day of 1942, Diana watched these future events unfold alongside her mother via the magic sphere with much horror. For the thought that such a terrible fate could befall Gerta who at the time was but a wee child, was a terrible one. However all was not lost! For knowing the future, it was in their power to change it for the better!

Thus since the cause of Gertas turning to villiany was the only love she had in her life being that of family, Wonder Woman took it upon herself to instill into Gerta a love....Of SCIENCE! Showing Gerta the wonders of the scientific method and the sheer possibilities of the universe just waiting to be discovered, Diana instilled into the young Gerta a fascination with the sciences, giving Gerta something else to obsess over as well!



After Diana did what she could, Hippolyta checked the magic sphere and found that in the future, Gerta would become a professor at the Wonder Woman college. With Rena as Gertas prized lab assistant who aided the esteemed professor in her research.

As far as I know, Gerta Von Gunther is the first example of an asexual in comic books.

Day 115: Sugar Candy

A former dancer who retired after she married sherriff turned cowboy turned rancher turned oil tycoon turned rich billionaire, Hard Candy. Sugar is a sweetly mother of two who happily lived a long life, having married a nice younger man, and at the age of 83, she lay bed ridden, with doctors giving her little time to live.

HOWEVER! Etta Candy was not about to let a ridiculous thing like mortality seperate her from her mother! Getting doctorates in the fields of medicine and chemistry, Etta Candy extensively studied in an effort to save her mother from dying of old age!

Wonder Woman at her friends requests, flew over to the Bar-L ranch with the Amazons secret of immortality, the fountain of youth. However, the mystical waters of the fountain had a short shelf life, and would only work on someone who had directly received Aphrodites blessing. Which Diana woefully explained, saddened that she would be unable to help her friend in her time of need.

Etta, not about to give up however, included into the mystical water a traditional remedy her mother would always administer to her whenever she was needing a pick me up, in the hopes that it would do the trick! Her mothers favorite sugar candies!

Her mothers heart giving out due to organ failure, Etta forces her mother to drink the concoction she prepared and before their very eyes, the elderly woman youthened and deaged! Going from an elderly 83 years old to a young and spry 30 year old beauty! Now at the peak of her health, Sugar Candy began to do a dance, and went to tell her husband the good news!

And with that, Etta Candy discovered a means of hacking the member privileges on a magic fountain that would never run empty.

And she never used it and never made mention of it again...Which is what I would say if Etta and Diana were complete and utter idiots. Which their not.

INSTEAD, With the help of the Amazons, and the Joy Foundation, the elixer of eternal youth was administered globally to the world, granting youth to those who took it, and with that, Etta Candy and Wonder Woman put an end to aging! Thus everyone from Steve to Etta would have life eternal, and still be around thousands of years later.

Ettas invention was dubbed 'Vitamin L3, the life vitamin' and was recognized as one of the greatest inventions of mankind.

Etta would receive a nobel peace prize, and be granted a position in the college as the professor of public health. (She would just wear a graduation robe and hat over her normal outfit.)

Awesome way of making comic book time unnecessary aside, I can't stress enough how awesome this is. You have heroes who go out of their way to better the world and not only do they take steps to help their villains, but they stumble upon a means of helping the entire world AND THEY BLOODY WELL DO IT!

I can't help but wonder what things would be like if DC had kept the elements of Wonder Womans golden age...

Day 116: Goddess Diana of the Moon

Formerly known as Artemis, Diana is the goddess of communing with nature, taking in natures bare beauty, finding pleasure in natures presence, Savoring natures wonder, the moon, hunting, and actual nature.

Surrounded by her ever loyal devout followers the nymphs (Anthropomorphic personifications of nature in the form of beautiful women) Diana makes her home on the moon, where she maintains a pure unsullied preserve of nature that canvases most of the moons surface, where her nymphs roam and frollic.

That is save for the moon volcanoes, which flow with molten glass which works to reflect the suns light upon the earth. The goddess Diana has the volcanoes on a thermostat and she regularly adjusts it to suit her phases.

The goddess lives within a palace on the moon and from it, watches both the Earth and her brothers progress through space. She enjoys the presence of her followers and the nature of her domain.

As or her nymphs, they are boasted to be the greatest archers in all the universe save for the goddess herself, and Diana even comments that their skill is greater than that of the Amazons. Combine that with their seemingly endless collection of trick arrows, and they easily surpass even the greatest of mortal archers.

One day, the villainous Mars paid a visit, wishing to talk of a possible peace between them. the moon goddess none the wiser, accepted and sharing a drink with him, she was unaware as he drugged her beverage and spirited her away to his domain, where the goddess would be unable to use her powers, and serve as his prisoner.

Thus, he blackmailed the nymphs of the moon, forcing them to aid him in his plans to conquer the Earth. Turning off the moons thermostat, he attempted to capture the Holliday college, buildings and all with his vessels.

Fortunately, Wonder Woman was visiting her friends at the school when the moon went dark and heading to the moon on a Sky Kanga with Paula Von Gunther, Diana found out about Mars trickery and staged a raid upon Mars stronghold! With the aid of Steve, Paula and Etta, Wonder Woman was able to distract Mars long enough to get the moon goddess to a sky kanga and back to the moon, wresting Mars grip on Earths satellite from his grasp.

With the goddess Diana back in her domain, she was able to restore the moons natural glow and ward of Mars's efforts to outright enslave the Earths population en masse.

Day 117: Duke of Deception

The black sheep of Mars family of war, The Duke of Deception is a frail thin man who looks nothing like his father the god of war. Born of Mars and an unnamed Martian woman, the Duke of Deception is looked on by Mars with open scorn, as he views the Duke of Deception as a weakling.


In fact, he quite possibly would have killed the Duke long ago were it not for his cleverness that allows him to talk his way out of Mars wrath. Be it doing something to make the god of war laugh with cruelty at Deceptions word play and mind games, or putting his cleverness to use in Mars name and achieving results that Mars never could have with brute force alone.

The Duke of Deception is the most brilliant of Mars's followers, but due to the war gods denial of intelligence, this is also a large part of why he is looked down upon as a weak and pathetic embarrassment.

Thus, he is often kicked around, which only serves to fan the fires of resentment the Duke of Deception has nurtured.

Granted only the weakest of those Mars enslaves, The Duke of Deception puts them to work in his lie factories, or as spies on other worlds to root out information and secretly sow dissent. As the god of deception and trickery, the Duke of Deception inspires misinformation and falsehoods. Combat using a trojan horse instead of a frontal assault. Promising peace when you come for war. Making an ally and then stabbing them in the back once their guard is down.

As the god of propaganda and lies, the Duke of Deception is able to effortlessly see through disguises and deceptions.

He also has the ability to create physical forms from the astral plane, just as Mars does when he restores people to life. But in the Duke of Deceptions case, he uses this ability to create thousands of dopplegangers. Copies of political leaders, people of great renown, and the generals of war. The Duke of Deception is able to effortlessly slip into any of these forms and take it for his own, using it for his wicked deceptions to sow the seeds of distrust.

He can also be incredibly two faced. For the Duke of Deception has a remarkable gift for convincing people that he means them well, and that he has their best interests at heart. He can convince someone that they are all powerful. Or that he is the kindest most generous being in the universe. This earns him incredible loyalty from his followers, who view him as their hero.

This talent is a two edged sword however, as the Duke of Deception can get so caught up in his deception of being a really nice guy, that he forgets its a mask and starts getting caught up in his own lies. His deceptions to brilliant for even himself to see through.

He has a power far greater than that however. For the Duke of Deception secretly posesses a gift that is beyond unusual for a Martian such as himself! For the Duke of Deception possesses....Mental powers!

Specifically, the Duke of Deception is capable of creating illusions within someones own mind, and convincing people of their truth to the point that it fools all the senses from touch to sound to taste to smell to sight. An ability which allows him to create false events in a victims mind that his target would be convinced as truth.

His mental abilities combined with the natural ability of all gods to travel invisible along the astral plane, makes for a terrifying threat.

A threat that is so great that the Duke of Deception using the power of logistics, a deal with the Earl of Greed, and ages at work on a Martian resistance movement, was actually able to conquer Mars!....From Mars!

Yes! The Duke of Deception himself, the seemingly weakest of Mars children, the one most scorned for his inability was able to outwit Mars and eventually became ruler of the planet, driving the God of War himself from the world and forcing the war god to seek refuge in other parts of his vast empire.

The Duke of Deception is one of Wonder Womans most dangerous foes. Not for any physical force. But for the sheer brilliance of someone whose entire existence is turned to trickery and deceit, to the point that they are always plotting five steps ahead.

Day 118: Naha

On the surface a mere Hawaiian hula dancer, Naha is in reality an agent of the Duke of Deception who serves his will.

For Naha's loyalty, The Duke of Deception granted her the power to transfer her astral self into empty vessels, allowing her to impersonate anyone using forms made from the astral.

She used this trick to her advantage when she framed Wonder Woman for murdering her by shooting herself and putting the gun in Dianas hand.

Then heading back to Hawaii via the astral plane, Naha simply stepped into a copy of her physical form and was good as new, with Wonder Woman jailed for murder.

As icing on the cake, the next part of the plan called for one of the lying gods other agents to smuggle Wonder Woman out of prison while Naha impersonating Wonder Woman, would go on a crime spree, poisoning her image in the eyes of the populace!

And the Duke of Deception would have gotten away with it too were it not for Etta paying for Wonder Womans bail and the two of them heading for Hawaii to look for clues, only to stumble upon the still living Naha entertaining a crowd with her dancing.

Capturing Naha and forcing her to confess to her wrong doing, Wonder Woman got an idea and commanded Naha to teach Etta the secret of releasing ones Astral form, and using it to possess a body formed from the Astral. Naha controlled by the lasso, complied, and Etta gained a new ability.

And then using Etta as a distraction, Wonder Woman was able to sneak up on Deceptions space submarine and sabotage it, stranding the Duke of Deceptions assassins who were effortlessly captured along with Naha.

Day 119: Jeane
Former slave of the Baroness, Jeane came into her own as a person and deciding for herself that she wanted to be accepted as an Amazon, she began undergoing intense training so she may pass the Amazons test of womanhood. Something all Amazonians undergo as a right of adulthood.

Her training session includes:
having a pair of 100 lbs weights chained to her legs while doing chin lifts.
Staff fighting with Mala, who is one of the greatest staff fighters on the island.
Using her bracelets to defend herself as two amazons come at her with (dull) swords!

Once someone has completed this training as Jeane had, they engage in the trials of an Amazon, to prove their readiness to enter adulthood! Standing before the whole island who watch with interest, Jeane and the others undergo a thrilling trial!
Using a lasso to wrangle Amazons as they run sixty miles per hour at a hundred feet away!
Lifting a pair of 500 lbs dumb bells to prove ones strength!
And the final test, being tied to a stake to symbolize the darkest moment in their history in which they themselves were bound. And breaking free of those bonds just as their elders had done long ago!

And finally accomplishing all of that, an Amazon is welcomed by her sisters as an adult woman, having truly become a member of the Amazons. Just as Jeane was likewise accepted.

Day 120: Count Crafti and Mammotha
Both legends in their own right, Count Crafti is a modern day casanova who has made a living of seducing women and convincing them to serve nefarious will.

And Mammotha is an eight foot tall giant of a man who is considered the strongest man alive.

After the failures of the Earl of Greed and the Duke of Deception, Mars at last ordered the Lord of Conquest to deal with Wonder Woman once and for all. To capture her and bring her back to the planet Mars where Mars the god of war intended to break her, and turn her to war.

Thus with orders from Mars, the Lord of Conquest set out to do just that! But rather than come up with a brilliant scheme like his brother would, coming up with a new and creative solution to a problem. The Lord of Conquest simply went and looked up how Mars defeated Amazons last time, and based his strategy off of that.

Thus studying Earth, he found the worlds strongest man and most talented womanizer. The both of them agents for a man by the name of Don Unaldi. So heading to earth, he used his power of conquest to conquer Don Unaldi's body for himself, and commanded Count Crafti and Mammotha to capture Wonder Woman and hand her over to a man who would turn out to be General Destruction.

Once the two were off on their mission, the Lord of Conquest switched from the body of Don Unaldi's to the form of Mammotha, adding his strength to the mortals and with their combined might, they were slightly more powerful than Wonder Woman!

For the Lord of Conquests plan was simple. He would use a combination of raw strength and seduction to conquer Wonder Woman and put her in chains, just as Hercules had done to Hippolyta those years past!

First, Count Crafti approached Wonder Woman and tried to lure her on a date with him to a boxing match featuring 'Mammotha: The worlds strongest' who boasted that he was greater than even Wonder Woman. However, despite Crafti's greatest efforts, his flirtations fell on deaf ears for Wonder Woman who blind to his efforts, ignored him.

However when she found out that there was a prize of one million dollars being offered for the one who defeated Mammotha in a boxing match, Diana wound up heading over there anyway, declaring that the money would go to the orphans charity!

Thus putting on a pair of boxing gloves for a friendly sport of fisticuffs, Wonder Woman entered the ring. Initially intending to go easy on Mammotha, Diana was surprised when he took a swing, sending her flying backwards five feet. Catching herself, Diana was amazed at his strength which was unlike anything she had seen before in a mortal man, and spent seven rounds blocking his strikes, until she could get an idea of how tough Mammotha was and knock him out with a single blow, careful to control her strength so that she did not seriously injure him.

Thus while Mammotha lay knocked out and the Lord of Destruction cursed Wonder Woman from the astral plane, Count Crafti acting as the manager of the event, invited Wonder Woman to his office to handle the monetary arrangements so the million dollars could go to the orphans fund.

Upon arriving, Count Crafti excused himself for a moment as Wonder Woman signed a form, to reveal it was all a trap! For the room was electrified, leaving Wonder Woman paralyzed from the electrical shock. And unable to move, Count Crafti began filling the room with knock out gas, rendering Wonder Woman unconscious!

Thus, he bound Wonder Woman in an electrified coffin to keep her imobilized while she was unconscious and handed her over to General Destruction who was soon joined by the Lord of Conquest. Heading back to Mars with Wonder Woman whose bracelets they welded together, the Lord of Conquest was showered in praise for successfully defeating Wonder Woman!

Thus with Wonder Woman at his mercy, Mars prepared to break her, and bringing forth a hundred innocent captives, Mars declared that he would kill them if Wonder Woman would not serve his wars, putting the blood on Wonder Womans hands if she refused.

Laughing at Wonder Womans predicament, he gave Diana a day to make her decision, gloating that the impossible choice would destroy Wonder Woman and force her to one way or another, murder innocents.

Thus with Wonder Woman helpless and unable to escape or save everyone, all hope seemed lost.....

<b> That is were it not for Etta Candy!</b>

For discovering that Wonder Woman was in trouble and a prisoner of Mars, Etta Candy declared that she would rescue her best friend at all costs!


Putting together a platoon of Holliday girls, Etta Candy and the Holliday girls moved into the astral plane and discovering one of Mars convict ships scooping up people from a war zone, Etta Candy fought her way through Mars soldiers and comandeered the vessel!

Sailing her way through space to Mars, Etta led the Holliday girls into the palace of the war god himself and rescued Wonder Woman from the grip of the gods!

Making their escape from the planet with the captives whom Mars was threatening to kill, they were stopped by the Lord of Conquest who intended to kill the Holliday girls, to prove their efforts were for naught. Etta not having any of that, clocked him one and sent the god of conquest to dream land with one fierce right hook across the jaw!

Mars enraged at Wonder Woman attempting to escape his grasp yet again, unleashed his terrible might in an effort to destroy Wonder Woman utterly for daring to defy him, only to destroy his own palace in the process, which served to cover their escape.

Thus the day was saved, thanks to Etta Candy.

As for Count Crafti and Mammotha, they returned to Don Unaldi who was quite displeased with the pair for seemingly running off on their own to accomplish their own motives. What happened to them next is a mystery...

Day 121: Babe Williams

Student at Holliday college, Babe Williams is a well regarded member of the Holliday girls whose reputation proceeds her. For Babe is a well regarded athlete in 'sports' in the same way that a scientist of the same genre might specialize in 'science'

For while Babe is best known for her talents in baseball, she is skilled in all forms of athletic endeavors, with a mastery of everything from baseball, hockey, tennis, bull riding, boxing, to even football.

A member of every sports team the Holliday college has, Babe Williams will always find the time to join a sporting event and lend a hand to ensure the Holliday girls gain a victory.
A woman of few words, Babe is always one of the participants in the many sporting events the Holliday girls undertake.

And like many of the girls in the college, she is also a member of the Beeta Lamda sorority. Taking a wicked glee in the hazing rituals the sorority has for its initiates.

Day 122: Joan Black
Former slave of the Baroness, Joan was brought to Paradise Island to help in her rehabilitation in order to help her cope and recover. But even after the others had put themselves back together, rediscovered themselves and came to be welcomed among the Amazons as one of their own, Joan was despondent.

Quiet, keeping to herself and seeming to not hear others when they spoke to her, Joan had seemingly withdrawn herself from the world and showed no interest in recovering.

Concerned for her mental health, Wonder Woman used the Mental Microscope on Joan Black. A device which hits a person with kappa rays, which allow the examination and exploration of a persons subconscious. An entire world existing within someones head, that lies in the fifth dimension.

Using the electrical doorway the machine created into Joan Blacks psyche, Wonder Woman was able to explore the deepest recesses of her mind and discovered that the poor woman suffered from a crippling inferiority complex. Blaming herself for the abuse that she suffered and withdrawing herself because she was convinced that everyone looked down on her for being a victim.

When the Amazons discovered the cause of Joans withdrawal, the poor woman was soon tended to by the greatest therapists and counselors that Paradise Island possessed! For trauma is a serious problem that the Amazons knew needed to be treated as the serious injury it truly was.

Eventually they would have a breakthrough with Joan and after a period of grieving, she was finally able to move on with the support of her friends among the Amazons who helped her recover through love and compassion.

Concepts like this really project Wonder Womans creators having psychologist backgrounds. A focus on the mind, which itself is an entire world inside ones head. It is a tragedy that concepts like this are not explored with Wonder Woman more.

A really interesting aspect of the device is that it specifies 'the fifth dimension' as the home of the subconcious world. Now this is one of the rare instances where Wonder Woman didn't invent the concept that is referenced, but it does open the doors for some interesting possibilities if it was melded into the mythology of Superman. Which also prominently features the fifth dimension. With its Mr. Mxyzplk who lives there with seemingly infinite powers. What if that is the true nature of the fifth dimension? A realm of the subconscious.

The concept of the mental microscope is a fascinating one. Someone should make a game about it....

Day 123: Doctor Psycho

Originally a simple medical student, Doctor Psycho was a well regarded student by teachers for his diligent work and study, with everyone convinced that he would become a great mind in the medical field.

However, Doctor Psycho was born with a diminutive stature and a head that was equal in size to the rest of his body. This physical defect led to much mockery from his peers which had been an endless torment for Doctor Psycho for all his life.

That is until a well meaning woman by the name of Marva defended Psycho, shaming her classmates for making fun of someone because of how they looked. Psycho seeing this, was convinced that Marva was madly in love with him and began stalking her, following her around and harassing her boyfriends. He took to calling himself her fiance and refused to listen to Marva who more than one explained to him that she was not interested, he continued on. Convinced of his own delusions, having mistaken kindness for love.

One night, the medical school suffered from a burglery and leaving one of the labs after a late night of studying, Marva caught sight of a diminutive figure running off with a crate full of radium! The next morning, the school would report hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of radium had been stolen!


Coming forward, Marva reports seeing Psycho commit the crime and despite Psycho's insistence that he was innocent, the medical board alerted the police who searching Psycho's rooms, found some of the missing radium. Arresting him, Psycho would spend the next five years in prison for the crime. Stewing for those many years in a dingy cell, Psycho became convinced that Marva his fiance, had betrayed him! Which he took personally because he believes himself to be such a nice guy~

And thus Psycho declared all women to be evil, blaming her for his false imprisonment, and plotted his revenge.

While he was imprison, he mannaged to develop hypnotic powers, and the ability to manipulate astral substance freely with his will.

And he also began to come up with ideas for machines to control and manipulate astral energy, to bend to his will! Crediting it to his own genius, Psycho declared he would use these original ideas for his revenge against all women!

However unbeknownst to Doctor Psycho, he was little more than a pawn of the Duke of Deception the entire time!

For Psycho had gained the attention of the Duke of Deception through his incredible talent for lying to himself about his relationship with Marva and constructing such a masterful delusion for himself. A talent that the Duke of Deception appreciated so much that he decided to make Doctor Psycho his champion.

Thus he paid Ben Bradly, the athletic idol of the medical college a visit those years ago, and implanted in his head the illusion of Marva, asking him to steal the radium for her and declaring that she would happily marry him if he did so.
Then it was simply a matter of placing an illusionary memory in Marvas head that she had seen Psycho commit the crime, arranged for Ben and Marva to marry, and he had set all the pieces leading to Psychos incarceration.


Where Psycho would stew, leaving him susceptible to The Duke of Deceptions manipulations as he fostered Psychos madness and turned him into a weapon by fanning the flames of his misogynistic self rightousness. He granted Psycho mental powers (For the Duke of Deception has the power to grant mental abilities to others.) And placed within his head blueprints for devices to aid Psycho in his cause. With Psycho none the wiser that he was little more than a pawn in the game of a lying god.

Thus when Psycho was released, he found out that Marva had married, hunted down Ben Bradly, tied him up, and just as he was about to kill Ben, the poor fellow wrongly confesses that Marva asked him to do it, and begged Psycho to spare him. But instead, Psycho who had purchased some radium on the way, decided to give it to Ben and force fed Ben the deadly Radium, killing him.

With that done, Psycho hunted down Marva and pointing a gun at her, Psycho declared he would use his mental powers to force her to obey him. And since his hypnosis relies on the victim believing he has power over them, Marva fell under his sway, and was mind controlled into marrying him, spending years as his unwilling slave.

He would then take to calling himself Doctor Psycho despite never being licensed, and began plotting to ruin the reputation of women! Recieving 'intutition' that Marva was a powerful psychic with the power to project psychic matter into a physical form, he strapped her to a machine which would force her to release astral energy which hi own mental abilities were able to manipulate, allowing him to build a new body for himself using that astral energy.

Thus Doctor Psycho would begin traveling the country, declaring Marva a psychic and 'summon the ghosts of the long deceased' Though in reality he simply used astral energy to assume their forms. Using the likes of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as mouth pieces for his misogynistic rhetoric that women were the cause of the worlds woes. He would then assume the forms of women and commit crimes. Assassinating political leaders, planting bombs in military installations, and even making an attempt on the president.

His ability to seamlessly shapeshift using Marvas power aside, he also had a machine which allowed him to pull a victims astral selves from their bodies, allowing him to exert his power over the, putting them in mental chains and imprisoning them. He could even use this trick to force a victims astral self into a physical form, and puppet them to commit crimes in his name.

However, Doctor Psycho is in reality nothing more than a petty little man with no real power. For his hypnosis only works when you believe he has power over you. The brilliant machines he championed were not really his inventions. The ability to change his form was really credited to the women he forced to serve him. And in the end there is very little that he accomplished on his own.


For in reality, Doctor Psycho only has the power that you give him.

Claiming to be a doctor, he behaved more like a carnie or a showman. Lacking any substance and in the end, he was little more than a horrible man whose appearance was his high point.
