Year of Wonder Woman

Day 782: Mouse man
The diminutive supervillain of Wonder Womans rogues gallery, Mouse Man is a man no bigger than a mouse. Capable of moving with incredible speed and dexterity, Mouse Man can make the proportionate jump from the ground to the roof of a three story building. He can lift the equivelent of a car over his head. And last but not least he commands an army of highly trained mice to do his bidding.

A villain whose ego and bravado is the size of a mountain, Mouse Man fancies himself as Wonder Womans greatest villain and an arch villain with no peer. Overconfident to the point of absurdity, Mouse Man will despite his size leap at the chance to prove his villainy.

Upon hearing about the Academy of Arch villains announcing they wee giving out a golden Wonder Woman statue to the criminal who kills Wonder Woman Mouse Man declared that reward would be his! However a quick trip to the amiptheater the Academy was using for the award ceremony taught Mouse Man that its not a good idea to try stealing the statue from a group that would call themselves 'Arch villains'

Dangling over a cup of acid, Mouse Man boasted that he had the perfect scheme to defeat Wonder Woman and the criminals let him go, threatening to feed him to the cat should he fail.

So Mouse Man revealed his brillaint and foolproof plan!.....By walking up to Wonder Woman and declaring his name and threatening to kill everyone she knows and loves unless she surrendered and let him kill her.

As luck would have it however, Wonder Woman was still blind from her fight with the Human Fireworks and thinking Mouse Man blind, Wonder Woman swung at the air several feet above Mouse Mans head and dove to tackle him, missing by a mile.

Mouse Man thinking he was just that good, gloated that Wonder Woman better surrender and when she tried and failed to lasso him, Mouse Man ran off laughing, and would proceed to cut the brake wires in Steve Trevors car, landing him in the hospital.

Gloating before Wonder Woman again, Mouse Man threatened to end Steve Trevor for good and demanded she go to an address which would turn out to be the headquarters for the Academy of Arch Villains where he intended to kill Wonder Woman before a large audience on the final day of the challenge!

And so Wonder Woman would arrive however by the time that day came, Wonder Womans eyesight had been restored and she proceeded to simply capture everybody. Including Mouse Man who was stuck in a bird cage that hung from a prison cell.

Later Mouse Man would go on to escape by playing dead and being thrown in the trash, where upon Mouse Man would discover an army of mice and train them to do his bidding. This lead to him going on a massive crime spree with an army of rodents trained to swarm into vaults, roll up hundred dollar bills and carry them out. And grab gem stones from jewlery stores and retreat to the sewers.

However incapable of keeping it small, Mouse Man decided he would get his revenge on Wonder Woman for locking him away. So devising a concoction, he tricked Wonder Woman into drinking it by slipping it into her coffee and she began shrinking in size, trading sizes with Mouse Man who grew as Wonder Woman shrank!

However Wonder Woman still posessing incredible super strength simply picked up Mouse Man by the foot as he tried to stomp her, and began swinging him around the room until the concoction wore off and she was back to her normal size.

And thus Mouse Man was imprisoned for good after he was placed in his bird cage once again, with a cat installed in his cell below.

Day 783: Mary Jane

A humble country girl who came from a rustic household. Mary Jane was like anyone else save for the fact that she was blind due to an injury she sustained as an infant. To make up for her lack of eyesight, Mary would go on to develop her hearing to incredible levels. Able to hear a leaf fall in the forest and identify millipede and centipede by the number of steps their taking.


She would encounter Wonder Woman during an especially dark time for the heroine. For Wonder Woman was beginning to doubt her purpose and mission. For though she had come to the outside world in the hopes of fixing things for the better and bringing peace to the world, crime had not let up. Her efforts to convince people to reform was falling on deaf ears. And Wonder Woman began to feel like people were developing a dependency on her being there to save them from everything.


For Wonder Woman would be accused of abandoning her mission should she fail to save someone in those hours where fatique overcame her and she needed to sleep. She would be summoned by firefighters who just stood outside of a building waiting for her to do the job. And criminals were taking advantage of the police relying on Wonder Woman to pull jobs when she was busy elsewhere.


Thus feeling like the people didn't see her as a human being and were taking advantage of her efforts to not try and better themselves, Wonder Woman simply...Stopped. When it became clear Wonder Woman wasn't coming the fire fighters scrambled to put out the house. When Wonder Woman didn't come to catch the robbers the police began chasing after them.


And Wonder Woman couldn't help but notice that if she did nothing, the world wasn't affected in a positive or negative way. Heading out of the city, Wonder Woman saw a girl walking across a highway with an oncoming truck and leaped to her rescue, scolding her for doing something so dangerous, only to find out that the girl who would turn out to be Mary Jane, was blind.


Not realizing her rescuer was Wonder Woman, Mary thanked Diana and the two talking, became good friends. With Diana keeping her identity a secret. Diana would turn the discussion towards her concerns about whether there can ever be peace, and worry that helping others makes them complacent. To which Mary Jane suggested that peace was something that needed everyone to make possible. And that if people didn't help one another, how could it possibly improve things?


At that moment, Mary hearing lighting about to strike moved to push Wonder Woman out of the way of an oncoming bolt of lightning, taking the strike instead of Wonder Woman. The Amazon fearing for Marys life and shocked at her selfless act rushed to her side and hurried her to the hospital, with Mary not only surviving the bolt of lightning, but having her eyesight restored in the process!


Mary knowing Diana to be Wonder Woman thanked her, and Diana declared Mary her dear friend. And thus with her confidence in her mission and humanity restored thanks to Mary Jane, Wonder Woman took up her mission once more.

Day 782: Mirage Wonder Woman

Hailing from Mirage World A world of illusion, Mirage Wonder Woman was an adversary of the 'Wonder family' in an issue of 'impossible tales' where Wonder Tot, Wonder Girl, and Wonder Woman were siblings who did everything together with their mother.


Looking identical to Wonder Woman, Mirage Wonder Woman was a hundred feet tall with white make up on her face and red circles painted onto her cheeks. Traveling with a giant mirage version of the Wonder family,


Wonder Woman and the others were collecting insects for the Amazonian science museum to study when a mirage of their Amazonian city appeared on the horizon. Wonder Tot curious, ran to it to see it and the others perused, managing to wind up in the world of the mirage, where they stood less than a centimeter tall.


Sighted by their mirage dopplegangers, the alternate Wonder Woman declared that for science they would capture these rare speciments and study them, ignoring the attempts on Wonder Womans part to explain that they were intelligent life forms.


Thus the Wonder Family split up and were persued by their mirage counterparts which they each had to defeat and outwit. With Wonder Tot leaping upon a butterfly and flying away. Wonder Girl plucking quills from a porcupine and pinning her giant counterpart to a tree. Hippolyta defeating her giant double in a sword fight and tying her up liliput style. And Wonder Woman picking up her double and tossing her into the sky.


Meeting where they first entered Mirage world, the four of them ran at high speeds at an appearing mirage and returned to their own world where they ordered the release of all captured insects for the science museum.

Day 783: Sally Dale

Daughter of Doctor Jonathan Dale, the oceanographer. Sally Dale would pilot the S.S Sally D and control the ship while her father dived deep below. Investigating a research bouey which had sank beneath the waves, Doctor Dale became lost. His last transmission to his daughter was that he had been bound to the bouey.


Radioing for help, Sally was soon discovered by Wonder Woman who recieved word from the SOS station on Paradise Island. Arriving, she found out what transpired and dived beneath the sea to seek out the professor. Finding the bouey, she was attacked by a squid and a sea spider who blinded her and bound her to the bouey for their master, an oceanic dinosaur to devour.


Letting the monster capture her, Wonder Woman let herself be carried off and discovred the dinosaur used a giant clam as a refrigerator and being stuffed inside along with the professor, Wonder Woman broke them both free and swam for the surface where they were met by Sally.


Thus began an epic chase as Sally driving the boat away, worked to escape those waters with the dinosaur in pursuit. With Wonder Woman standing on the back of the ship, deflecting its attempts to take a bit out of the vessel by using her bracelets.


Eventually the three of them would escape and Wonder Woman would credit Sally, and declared that she would be a great oceanographer like her father one day.

Day 784: Harry Hill
One of an assemblage of orphans at the Bouroughton Orphanage. An orphanage presumably not based out of Gotham due to the lack of Robins. Carrying around a timepiece at all times, Harry is obsessive about punctuality and time. To the point that he will get angry at a watch for being slow and smash it to pieces. And is someone who will berate others for their tardiness, declaring that one has to live to a schedule with a time for everything.


Harry is one of the orphans who will regularly receive a visit from Wonder Woman who stops by regularly to take the children on rides in her invisible jet and to regale them with stories of her many adventures.


The children will listen with rapt fascination as Wonder Woman tells stories of her own childhood when she was their age. Describe other countries and worlds she has been to. And attempt to instill in those children moral lessons and educational fundamentals to help prepare them for the future.


Thanks to Wonder Womans tutelage, the orphans including Harry are certain to grow up to lead productive lives and contribute to society with absolutely no chance whatsoever that they could ever possibly somehow by chance grow up to be supervillains in the future.

Day 785: Exxo
Rightful ruler of planet X-X-188, Exxo was a giant green skinned figure with a perpetual grin, a thin scraggly body. Having ruled the planet and its single city well, Exxo found himself deposed by his brother Nexxo who declaring that Exxo was a weenie, proceeded to push him out of the city and proclaim himself ruler. Forcing Exxo to move into the junkyard to live in.

Thus without his home and friends who were stolen by Nexxo, Exxo built a makeshift home out of junk, cultivated a garden in the middle of a desert, and took up baking. However with his birthday coming up, Exxo bemoaned that no one would attend it and came up with the idea to send a signal into space to invite people to his birthday. A signal which would be received by Wonder Woman who would go on to befriend the former king who began serving her a slice of cake ten times her size.

However Nexxo also hearing the signal, abandoned the city and discovering that Exxo had eked out a nice life for himself outside of the city grew furious and began attempting to push his brother out of the junk yard, declaring it was his too. Then sighting Wonder Woman, Nexxo picked up the cake knife and attempted to kill Wonder Woman with it. Only for Wonder Woman to pick up the cake and toss it into Nexxo's face, causing the villain to fall over as Wonder Woman promptly began to bind him with the magic lasso.

And thus Exxo went back to the city as its rightful ruler, and Nexxo forever humiliated at having been beaten, secluded himself in the junk yard which Exxo had made into a home.

Day 786: Cyrus Banes

Eccentric billionaire and philanthropist, Cyrus Banes spent his life amassing a large fortune and chose to both live out the rest of his days charitably, and in doing things for his own amusement.


For example giving away $1000 to charity if the first person to donate to a specific charity kettle happened to be a redhead. Or promising ten thousand dollars if a specific batter could get three home runs in a single game of baseball.


Both donating to charity and declaring his donations would be based upon the whims of his amusement, Cyrus would commit his funds to these random challenges for people, just to make things more interesting.


Challenging Wonder Woman, Cyrus being a talented artist, got the idea for a trio of amazing illustrations featuring Wonder Woman and presenting them one at a time, he challenged Wonder Woman to on the spot, concoct a story build around the images in question to explain their context.


However it just so happened that Cyrus unknowingly drew the pictures of several Wonder Woman comic book covers with striking detail. And Wonder Woman without pause, began telling those stories on the spot. And thus, Cyrus gave to charity in Wonder Womans name $50,000 and swore to come up with an even crazier challenge for her in the future.

Day 787: Birdboy
Love interest of Wonder Girl, Birdboy is a man with feathers covering everything for his chest and face, with wings protruding from his back. Hailing from 'Wingworld' a country of magic bird cages built upon the clouds, Birdboy is part of a race of bird people who have a modern human culture sprinkled with random bird bits. Such as culinary dishes like worm pie and birdseed pizza. Like all bird folk, Birdboy can lift five tons, fly at mach 5, and is completely fireproof.


Hearing Flying about, Birdboy ran across Merboy who was bragging about how he was dating Wonder Girl. Jealous and determined to one up Merboy, Birdboy flew to Paradise Island and threatened to set foot on the island, dooming the Amazons unless Wonder Woman went on a date with him, declaring that he loved her yadda yadda.


On their date, Birdboy could do little more than constantly ridicule Wonder Girl, annoyed that she didn't like Wingworld cuisine and complaining about how she didn't have wings. That said, he made a point of flying by Merboy with Wonder Girl, declaring that they were an item.


Distraught at this revelation, Merboy like always turned to his first and last strategy to make things work out for him and attempted to commit suicide. In this case by seeing a fisherman and grabbing onto the hook so he would be reeled in with the other fish to be filleted.


Wonder Girl being honor bound to save people, broke off the date to rescue Merboy, creating an unhealthy love triangle between them.

Day 788: Annie Whitehead

Professional acrobat and tumbler, Annie Whitehead was a traveling circus performer raised by her father who would constantly train and practice in an effort to become the worlds greatest acrobat duo.


However while traveling by ship from Europe to the United States in order to join a new circus, tragedy struck, resulting in their ship being destroyed in the storm.With no sign of Annie, Wonder Girl spied the man unconscious upon some jetsam, being circled by kraken which she promptly dispatched.


Taking him to one of the islands neighboring Paradise Island so he could recover, Wonder Woman asked if he was alright and was shocked when he began referring to Wonder Girl as Annie. The blow to his head causing some damage and making him believe Wonder Girl was Annie.


Wonder Girl was about to explain that he was mistaken, when she realized that if no one else had been discovered in that crashing ship, that his daughter must be dead. Unable to bring herself to break that news to him, Wonder Girl began pretending to be his daughter, beginning to train with him in acrobatics.


Letting the other Amazons know what was going on, Wonder Girl would continue this charade for weeks. Training with him and perfecting an acrobatic routine of trapieze and highwire that delighted all. With the Amazons even using the vision sphere to watch the performance.


Days would pass and out at sea, Wonder Girl would hear a cry for help and gliding to sea on air currents, she discovered a woman being encircled by man eating clams. Rescuing her, Wonder Girl would discover this was the real Annie and flying her back to the island, she dropped the girl off, with Annies father unable to tell the difference.


Eventually a ship would pass by and Wonder Girl picking them both up, dropped them off so they could return to civilization.

Day 789: King Fisherbird
Ruler of Fisherbird world. A realm accessible via a magic lake inside of a giant nest atop a tall mountain sitting in the middle of the ocean. King Fisherbird rules a race of bird people whose entire culture is built around hunting. Every animal in this world is a kind of bird man be it a bird man that swims in the sea or a birdman that eats grass and moos. And every one of them from the biggest to the smallest is constantly preying on one another for their entire world is predator based.

King Fisher the mightiest of the hunters of his world and seemingly ageless, lived in a mighty castle and stood twenty feet tall, all muscles and feather. Like all the folk of Fisherbird World, he had a human midsection and arms, but his lower torso, head, and wings were that of a birds. The walls of his castle were lined with trophies of those he captured. He would pin his prizes to plaques and hang them from the walls still living, to slowly die and rot away until they were naught but bone.

Having traveled through portals to different worlds, King Fisherbird has amassed a collection of various creatures from dinosaurs to aliens. All prizes of his efforts. Traveling to Earth, King Fisherbird went on to search for new prey and discovered Birdboy, Merboy, and Wonder Girl. Proceeding to capture the three of them, dragged them back to his domain.

Wonder Woman (for by this point the comics stopped opening by referring to these as impossible tales and just started having them interact with no explanation) heard about this and flew to Wonder Girls rescue. Sighting a Fisherbird man hunting, she lasso'd him and discovered the portals location. Proceeding to this other world, Wonder Woman discovered a realm where everyone constantly hunted one another for food and sport.

Evading her way through this world until she found the castle, Wonder Woman discovered King Fisherbird who was distracted fighting off one of his subjects who was attempting to hunt him and steal his crown. Grabbing Birdboy, Merboy, and Wonder Girls plaques off the wall, Wonder Woman carried the three of them away, running for the portal as King Fisherbird dispatching his assassin, pursued them.

Escaping through the portal, Wonder Woman lasso'd the nest and pulled it off of the cliff to smash into the ocean and break apart, sealing the portal away so that King Fisherbird could not harass them ever again.

Day 790: Medusa (Silver Age)

Formerly one of the worlds great beauties. Medusa was a great queen who was the envy of men all around. Soon to be wed to a handsome prince, Medusa was destined to lead all of Greece into a new golden age of peace and prosperity.


Her popularity and acclaim rankling Duke Deception of Mars, The duke created a collection of 'gargoyle masks'. A creation of his own devising which would curse the bearer, altering their personality so that they would become horrible monsters.


In the case of Medusa he used his science to replace Medusas true face with one of his gargoyle masks on the day of her wedding and when her veil was removed, her husband turned to stone along with the attendees. Horrified, Medusa fled, turning to stone hundreds in her wake as she retreated to a deserted island.


The mask which changed her appearance also beginning to affect her mind, Medusa started to become callous and cold. Coming to enjoy turning people to stone. Only her self imposed exile on that deserted island keeping her from wreaking havoc upon the world.


Medusa being just one of Duke Deceptions victims, would have the truth behind her fate lost behind a web of lies and deception. With the villain using his talents to cast the blame for his various misdeeds upon the gods.

Day 791: The Glop

The weirdest of Wonder Girls love interests, the Glop was a gelatinous alien parasite with the ability to absorb anything and take on its properties. Making it in essence, whatever it consumed.


Crashing on Earth in the form of a flying saucer which it had eaten, the Glop was faced by the American military where upon it was fired upon with missiles which it consumed, allowing it to fire an infinite number of missiles from then on. Shooting down a jet and absorbing it, the Glop attained the ability to fly and took to the skies where it did battle with Wonder Girl.


Wonder Girl flying into a cloud to escape it, nearly met her end when it absorbed the cloud and became it. Forcing Wonder Girl to use lightning to make the cloud begin raining away, sending Glop back down to the ground and granting her time to evacuate people.


As misfortune would have it, The Glop would rain down upon a group of teenagers who had hauled a jukebox out to the park loaded with one hundred records. The jukebox absorbed into the Glop as it was singing that popular romance song 'Your my Wonder Girl' The Glop developed feelings for Wonder Girl and speaking exclusively in singing rhyme, would communicate via lyrics from one of the hundred songs it had absorbed.


Moving across the land in search of Wonder Girl, siniging about how much it loved Wonder Girl, the Glop would confront a tank platoon and absorb the tanks, allowing it to take their forms. Wonder Girl would confront it again and their battle would lead to the creature finding its way into the ocean where a submarine lay hidden with an atomic bomb which it fired upon the Glop.


Absorbing the atomic bomb which allowed it to fire infinite atomic bombs if it so wished and the submarine which allowed it to travel at high speeds underwater, the Glop began traveling to Paradise Island for Wonder Girl.


Knowing that the Glop was a menace that could not be stopped, Wonder Girl came up with an idea and arranged for the Amazons to using their highly advanced technology, to tattoo machinery into her skin. Circuitry and parts that would grant Wonder Girl the power of time travel.


When the Glop arrives on Paradise Island, Wonder Girl was ready and facing it, she tried to fight it, only to be pulled into its body. But before she could be absorbed, Wonder Girl activated the time machine, hurtling her back millions of years to when the world was a ball of molten magma. Freeing herself of the burning Glop, Wonder Girl returned to the present but in the process suffered from extensive skin damage, requiring the Amazons to use their medicinal science to save her from twelve degree burns that destroyed the time machine built into her body.


With that, the Glop was no more.....Or was it?

Day 792: Doctor Jekyl

Brilliant scientist and doer of good, Doctor Jekyll had dedicated his life to the creation of a serum which would grant him superhuman strength. A serum which he declared he would use to battle evil.


Duke Deception discovering this and fearing that Doctor Jekyl would become a powerful force for good, used one of his 'Gargoyle masks' upon Doctor Jekyl. Replacing Jekyls face with that of a mind altering mask, Doctor Jekyl possessing incredible super strength would leave London devastated before vanishing for parts unknown.


And so Doctor Jekyls true face would remain on Duke Deceptions wall as a trophy. Marking how he had prevented the rise of a do gooder whose efforts would have held back his plot for world domination.


Thus Duke Deception would use a similar trick on Wonder Girl. Attempting to steal her face and replace it with one of his masks. But thanks to a spot of luck, Wonder Girl would half avoid the ray with the efforts of Merboy and Birdboy. Thus the left half of Wonder Girls face looked green and scaly.


Now Wonder Girl thanks to that evil mask was changing from kind to villainous with the flip of a coin. Going from sobbing about her condition to destroying building after building on the island. Horrified by the monster she became, Wonder Girl left the island to avoid human contact. Not wanting to hurt anyone especially her family.


It was then through blind luck that Wonder Girl flying through the sky mannaged to smack into the window of Duke Deceptions ship, for he needed to be close by in order to use the ray. And thus approached in an invisible spaceship.


Thus Wonder Girl punching a hole in his window, grabbed her face which was mounted on the wall and the monsterous side of her taking over, Wonder Girl flew into a rage and tore the ship apart.


One extensive Amazonian surgery later, and Wonder Girl had her face back. Managing to escape the fate which befell Doctor Jekyl.

Day 793: Moona

Amazon of Paradise Island, Moona was one of the many Amazons who participated in the annual Wonder Woman challenge in which the Amazons would compete to see which amongst their number is worthy to hold the title of Wonder Woman.


Since the challenges change every year, the Amazons vying for the title were charged with climbing a hundred mile tall pole made of glass with a raincloud perpetually pouring water down it the entire time.


Thus Moona and the others attempted to climb the mighty shaft that pierced the sky, refusing to give up regardless of its massive size. Time and time again they would fall on it but back up they would go for they would not surrender!


However despite their best effort, Moona and the others failed, with only three individuals making it to the top. Wonder Woman, Wonder Tot, and Wonder girl. The three would be each given individual challenges themselves to prove their talent, with those they were competing with expected to choose the winner.


Wonder Tot was challenged to 'roll a thousand faced ball up a hill' so grabbing one thousand Amazons, Wonder Tot spun them into a ball and rolled them up the hill.


Wonder Girl was challenged to 'extract from the mightiest the tiniest' so heading out to sea, she found a whale and dove into its mouth to find something tiny to take with her. However inside she found Merboy on the verge of dying again so rescuing him, she was given a pass.


Wonder Woman was given the task to 'freeze fire into glass' when she heard of a volcano about to errupt, destroying an island villiage nearby. Flying to the island, Wonder Woman picked up the volcano, carried it to an iceburg, entombed it, and cast it off into space.


And thus Wonder Tot and Wonder Girl agreed the greatest was Wonder Woman.

Day 794: Boiling Man

A subterranean monster made from gases and boiling lava, the Boiling Man is a menace that threatens the world. Rising up from the Earth thousands of years ago, the Boiling Man threatened the world itself. As it could evaporate the oceans. Burn away the forests. choke out the planets very air.


The Amazons confronting this great threat, did battle with the Boiling Man and sealed him away beneath the island along with many of the greatest threats to the world. For the Amazons charged with protecting the world guard it from the threats they sealed away beneath their paradise home.


One day many of the Amazons receiving a distress signal through their SOS control center about a planet whose sun was about to explode, headed off into space in order to toy the planet away to a new sun, leaving the Island with only a handful of Amazons to guard the isle.


It was then that Boiling Man chose to make his move and smashed his way out of the isle, threatening the world once more! Wonder Woman called upon for help rushed to the island and having never before fought the Boiling Man herself, lasso'd it to get it away from the island and tossed it into the ocean...Only to threaten the Merfolk who began screaming in agony as the oceans of the world began boiling away.


Pulling him from the ocean, Wonder Woman attempted to toss him into space, only for the creature to create a pillar of hardening lava, grounding it to the Earth so he could not be seperated from it. Wonder Woman then touching on an idea, broke the pillar and pushed Boiling Man down into the hole he came from in Paradise Island, the monster errupting pools of magma to combat her.


Wonder Woman flying out of the hole then creating a vacuum of cold air around the gaping hole by spinning her lasso really really fast, cooled Boiling Mans own magma, sealing up the escape attempt.


And thus so it was that Wonder Woman defeated the Boiling man.

Day 795: King Ape

Giant gorilla hailing from an island of dinosaurs and giant gorillas, King Ape is a massive primate that acts on its impulses with little intellect driving its actions as it travels about causing trouble.


Having a penchant for exploring beyond his island, King Ape would regularly leap into the ocean and swim to the nearby coast of New York City where it would acting on its instincts, grab the first woman he could find, climb the tallest nearby object, and swat at planes as they fly by.


And time and time again, Wonder Woman would have to arrive, rescue the woman in question, lasso the giant ape, and carry him back to his island, with King Ape running in terror of the dinosaurs and even larger apes that populate the island before swimming off to the mainland once again.


The Empire State Building. The statue of liberty, the Chrysler building. King Ape climbed them all again and again. Wonder Woman declaring that the foolish creature was as much a threat to itself as it was to others, captured it once again and bringing it to its island once more, sought out a nice lady ape and helped the two hook up.


Thus happy and with someone larger than him who can fend off the other apes and dinosaurs, King Ape remained on the island peaceful as can be.

Day 796: Mr. Monster
Prince from a distant world whose true name has been lost to history, Mr. Monster was a callous and selfish individual who sought to marry a princess for the sake of expanding his kingdom, with little interest in her or her feelings. Caring only about his own appearance, he was deep down an ugly monster.

A witch seeing beneath the surface and disgusted by the prince, cursed him so that his outer appearance would match his inner appearance, turning Mr. Monster into an ugly monster on the day of his wedding.

The princess terrified, fled the castle along with those in attendance, leaving the prince whose visage was so terrifying, that his planets greatest scientists constructed a dome around the castle to keep the prince in and sent the whole thing into space.

Drifting through space for years, the prince cursing and bemoaning his own visage tore apart the wedding chapel. Destroyed every picture or record of his past, and began calling himself Mr. Monster, cursing his very existence.


The castle winding up in Earths atmosphere and threatening to crash into Paradise Island, Wonder Woman caught it with the lasso and set it down in the ocean near the island. Spinning into a tornado, Wonder Woman began drilling into the dome and entering the castle to find the prince sobbing on his throne.


Accusing Wonder Woman of coming to mock his appearance, the prince declared that he was ugly beyond all reason and began screaming and yelling for her to leave him alone. Wonder Woman finding out his plight after examining his castle, deduced that he needed to feel good about himself, and getting the Amazons together, they visited the island with welcoming gifts like any good neighbor, only to be cursed at by Mr. Monster who declared that they only brought the presents to throw at him and he demanded they leave someone as awful as him alone.


The Amazons would depart though Wonder Woman would come back to visit, only to find Mr. Monster attempting to tear down the castle itself, declaring that it brought nothing but miserable memories of his past. Wonder Woman trying to save him as some debris nearly crushed him to death, pushed Mr. Monster away and became buried under the rubble of the castle much to the horror of the monster who cursed himself for his deed and pleaded with Wonder Woman not to die.


Diana naturally surviving, beseeched Mr. Monster to cease his self hatred and love himself, declaring that it was impossible to love himself when nobody loved him. To which Wonder Woman declared her love for him. Mr. Monster scoffing at this, declared that if she truly did she would prove it and Wonder Woman jumping up, repaired the castle and prepared a wedding with Mr. Monster declaring that the boulder to the head must have scrambled her brain.


But Wonder Woman arranging for her mother to hold the ceremony in Mr. Monsters own castle, arranged for everything and she was about to wed Mr. Monster when Birdman, Merman, and Steve Trevor arrived with rotten fruit, torches, and pitch forks, declaring that they could never allow Wonder Woman to marry someone so ugly and attempted to kill Mr. Monster.


Decrying the hatred all must have for him, MR. Monster fled, declaring that he would never subject Wonder Woman to marrying someone as ugly as him and ran off to declare suicide while Steve and the others patted themselves on the back and called it a job well done.


Wonder Woman running to save Mr. Monster, managed to nearly fall herself, only to be rescued by the prince. That act of selflessness and genuine kindness breaking the curse, Mr. Monster became a handsome man as he pulled Wonder Woman up, his appearance captivating Wonder Woman until he began acting like a jerk once again, demanding everyone leave his island.


And thus the curse returned, for so long as he acted like a monster so a monster he would appear. Only by being a genuinely good person would his original looks shine through.

Day 797: Dream Merchant
Mysterious archivist who stands apart from the moral ambiguity of good an evil, the Dream Merchant is a collector of comic books, possessing every issue if every comic ever sold including the greatest comic book of all, Wonder Woman.

Operating out of a shop which was seemingly a small shop with a few racks, it always seemed to have whatever someone could possibly want, with an endless number of copies for every issue.

Perpetually wearing sunglasses and staring at his customer with a knowing smile, the Dream Merchants most peculiar aspect was in the nature of his collection. For whenever someone read one of his comics, they would find themselves transported into the pages of one of his works in the role of the main character. Acting out the adventure and experiencing the comic book as though it was all an elaborate part of their life.

The true nature of the Dream Merchant is a mystery but whatever his motives, he certainly has a fascinating collection for sale.

Day 798: Brain Pirate

Hailing from the Inner World, a brain shaped planet which exists in space within thought space. Brain Pirate is a ghostly figure which exists perpetually in a dimension alongside our own. 'Dimension DM-X' Which allows him be essentially intangible to the material world.


Traveling through space on a spacecraft made from thought metal, the one substance which a being existing on dimension DM-X can interact with, Brain Pirate will seek out powerful entities and using his mental lasso, he will pull their brains out of their heads and imprison them, rendering the individuals as mindless slaves to his will for their minds contained their very consciousness.


With their craft which was armed with canons, a crew of cut throats who served his every will with gun and sword at the ready, the mental lasso and his mental lasso, Brain Pirate was a force to be reckoned with.


He would cross paths with Wonder Woman multiple times such as when he invaded the Earth and in an effort to once again capture Wonder Woman, failed utterly. But Steve seeing Wonder Woman in trouble barreled in and managed to get his brain stolen. Thus with Steve commanded to kill himself unless Wonder Woman surrendered, Diana boarded the ship but before she could destroy it, Etta Candy and the Holliday girls happened to be passing by and got captured as well, their minds stolen, making them the slaves of the mind pirate.


The ship traveling to Inner World where Brain Pirate was regarded as its ruler, Diana was put on display as a trophy of victory, with Brain Pirate intending to make her friends kill her in a public show of his own power.


However at the moment of her intended execution, Wonder Woman breaking free, lasso'd her friends, disarming them and seeking out the crate their minds were stored in, Wonder Woman ran for it with both hauled over her shoulders.


Calling her invisible jet to come to her aid, Wonder Woman made her escape and restored the others to normal, escaping the clutches of the Brain Pirate.

Day 799: Egg-Fu

Giant egg the size of a mountain, Egg-Fu inhabits Oolong Island and boasts the most powerful brain in the world. Working for the Chinese government and leading a full scale army, Egg-Fu was charged with the task of destroying the American navy so that China could begin its conquest of the Pacific Ocean.


With his incredible intelligence, Egg-Fu created a laser gun which is capable of sensing any sort of photographic or filming equipment, seek it out, and destroy it and the machine/person attached to it with a terrible beam of light, making it so no attempts to spy upon his island can succeed.


Then he began work, inventing a powerful doomsday rocket which was specifically designed to somehow destroy every American ship in the world while leaving everything else untouched.


Able to predict the actions of every individual in the world with his incredible super mind, Egg-Fu was otherwise powerless and reliant upon the aid of his army of scientists, soldiers, and saboteurs to do his bidding. For he was completely immobile save for his incredible prehensile mustache which was completely indestructible, even in the face of atomic energy.


Steve parachuting onto the island to gather intel was captured for Egg-Fu predicted his arrival, and flooding Steve body with kinetic energy, he made it so that Steve was a living bomb which would explode should he come in contact with anything, and launched him into the American navy alongside the doomsday weapon, for either one had the power to destroy it all utterly.


Wonder Woman hearing of this rushed to Steves rescue, only for Steve to reveal that he was doomed and throwing himself into the doomsday weapon, he and the weapon exploded. Wonder Woman desperate to save him leaped into the explosion and perished as well.


The Amazons gathering the loose atoms that made up Steve and Wonder Woman reassembled them using their patented AS-R machine, restoring them to life and once again alive, Wonder Woman headed off for Oolong Island to confront Egg-Fu who was guarded by a massive army of Chinese soldiers.


Upon punching her way through tanks and soldiers, Wonder Woman confronted Egg-Fu, doing battle with him in a match of lasso vs mustache until the Amazon succeeded in getting her lasso around him and commanded Egg-Fu to cast aside socialism and embrace capitalism.


Egg-Fu using his incredible mental power to attempt to resist Wonder Womans command...Exploded. Thus ending the first Egg-Fu.

Day 800: Wonder Tot

Originally Diana as a small child, Wonder Tot was a child whose physical abilities matched those of Wonder Womans despite her age. Due to popular demand, the Amazons used photo editing to make it appear as though Wonder Tot, Girl, and Woman were all interacting and spending time together due to letters from the fans of the 'Wonder Woman comic' which in universe is published by the Amazons themselves.


And thus for a while, these were dubbed 'impossible tales' which only existed in dreams for a time, with Wonder Tot and Wonder Girl established to be younger sisters of Wonder Woman. However the 'Impossible Tales' tag on the covers of each issue would eventually vanish, and it would become a curious cannonical aspect of Wonder Woman of the time that she had two sisters.


Unlike Wonder Girl who later on would be given her own name and established backstory, Wonder Tot was never called anything other than Wonder Tot and became a signature element of Wonder Womans short lived silver age. For she was all about whimsy and fun. Going off on adventures to the moon with her best friend Mr. Genro Genie. Competing with Wonder Girl and Wonder Woman as equals with her incredible abilities. Encountering the magical and the fantastical with a child-like wonder.


Sometimes she would have a magic lasso of her very own but more often than not she didn't. But she could lift a hundred tons with ease. Fly on the wind currents. Deflect lasers and meteors using her bracelets. Possessed a powerful wonder breath which allowed her to push herself up into the air or knock over a dragon.


And she was fond of collecting trophies of her adventures. Such as a whales tooth from the time she punched her way out of a whales mouth. Or the shooting star she had made into a hair tie to keep her upwards ponytail secure. Or a golden apple from her adventure on magic isle.


Though Wonder Tot never escaped the Silver Age, she was fun while she lasted.

Day 801: Robert Kanigher

One of Wonder Womans greatest enemies and represenitive of an organization which has worked to bury everything that Wonder Woman represents and downplay her accomplishments, Robert Kanigher is an editor for DC comics in charge of the comic book 'Wonder Woman' which he also wrote.


Renowned for his obsession with wearing yellow bowties which he was never seen not wearing, he had a sinister reputation that left many in fear of what he would do to the Wonder Woman continuity.


However due to his inability to write quality Wonder Woman comics which he blamed on the fact that he was an editor for eight different titles which took up alot of his time, on top of other comics he was a writer for which he actually cared about...An angry mob surrounded the offices of DC comics. Demanding that Wonder Woman go back to the quality content it had back during the Golden Age before Kanigher took control.


Thus gathering up all of the characters he devised. Wonder Tot, Wonder Girl, Birdboy, The Glop, Mr. Monster, Merboy. And those characters integral to the Wonder Woman mythos including Steve Trevor and Queen Hippolyta, he broke the news.


The Wonder Woman comic would be rebooted. And thus everything prior in the history of Wonder Woman up to this point would be retconned away. With a new origin. New characters to be introduced. And others to be retired and never seen again.


With everyone from the Amazons to the Merfolk despairing with no idea who would be retconned away and what the new continuity would hold, the villains declared that they would put a stop to it! Thus Duke Deception and Angle Man, the major reoccurring villains of the Silver Age attempted to do their uptmost to capture Wonder Woman and hold her hostage! Intending to force Robert Kanigher to preserve the continuity and keep them from being retconned away else they would kill Wonder Woman. The two of them would fail however, and the retcon was inevitable.


And thus Robert Kanigher declared that all of the characters he created for the Wonder Woman mythos would be retired, declaring to Birdboy, Merboy, Manno, Wingo, The Glop, Mr. Monster, Wonder Tot, and Wonder Girl that he loved them as his own children and that regardless of what happens, he loved them all just as he does his other creations Black Canary, Harlequin, and Star Saphire. Leaving only Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor, and Hippolyta in continuity.


Thus with the new continuity begun, Kanigher ordered his lowly minions Ross Andru and Mike Esposito to begin the new continuity which would attempt to capture Golden Age Wonder Woman, ending the protest at DCs doors for the moment.

Day 802: Baron Von Hohenzo
Wealthy noble from an old European family, Hohenzo is a notorious lover of exotic animals, having sworn that he will capture the worlds rarest and most precious of animals so that he may make them his.


With Wonder Woman rebooted for the second time, Cheetah was back in continuity, with the Baron head over heels for her due to the animal theme. Backing her criminal enterprise, Hohenzo hired her to steal the rarest of rare animals from around the world from protected habitats, zoos, and nature preserves to take to his private residence.


Priscilla Rich once again rich, used her newly acquired fortune to hire a guirilla army whom she had don gorilla costumes to serve as her henchmen as she traveled about stealing animals for Hohenzo's zoo!


However as luck would have it, Steve Trevor had been taking photos at the zoo which Cheetah was robbing by climbing into the Cheetah cage and serving as a distraction as her goons grabbed every other animal in the zoo and hauled them away.


However while they were in the process of doing this, an elephant escaped and stepped on Steves foot, causing him to scream for Wonder Woman who came and fixing Steves foot, went ahead and caught the goons, unaware of Cheetah's plot.



Cheetah deciding to just pocket the money Hohenzo had given her and use it to further her own plans, snuck up on Steve, made him one of her minions, and tricked him into stealing Wonder Womans lasso. Using the lasso on Wonder Woman, she took the Amazon and Steve to her secret base in the rockys where she revealed that she was going to have her guerilla men dress up as american soldiers and rob federal reserves in other countries, then pinning the blame on America!


Steve through the power of sheer patriotism broke free of his mind control and attempted to defeat the army single handed and lost, leading to Cheetah commanding Wonder Woman to remove her bracelets so that she could shoot the Amazon princess.


Wonder Woman did so and going into a berserk rage due to her bracelets being removed, she tore the entire army apart including their squadron of five hundred tanks and was about to kill Steve when he held up her bracelets which just happened to slip onto Dianas arms at just the right angle.


And thus Diana dragged Cheetah to jail by the tail, along with the guerilla goons, with Baron Von Hohenzo getting away scott free since nobody paused to wonder how Cheetah bank rolled a private army.

Day 803: Magnum Magnus

Head of Magnus Studios, Magnum Magnus is a wealthy braggart of a hollywood executive who determined to make the biggest movie of all time, goes for heavy realism and making the movie 'The Curse of Cleopatra' he had the entire movie filmed in Egypt for expensive realism!


However unbeknownst to him, the rival studio 'Sensation Pictures' determined to ruin the competition and cash in on a good idea, began production for a cheap ripoff 'Cleaopatras Curse' which stole its plot from Magnum Magnus's production, and was working on a quarter of the budget!


Determined to ensure that their movie would come out on top, Sensation Pictures hired the great Countess Draska 'The Deadly' Nishki to sabotage Magnus Studios and ruin their film. Thus kidnapping and replacing the villain of the film who had sworn that she must remain in character 24-7 (Thus ensuring Draska would remain masked) She drugged the leads of Cleopatra and Antony, declaring that it was as if the curse of cleopatra which the movie was based upon was real!


Magnum desperate, called up Wonder Woman, sobbing and declaring that he totally intended to donate the first million dollars the movie made to charity and bemoaned the many children who would suffer if his film was not saved.


Wonder Woman declaring that things like magic and curses were 'superstitious nonsense' Declared she would get to the bottom of this and took on the role of Cleopatra, with Steve as her Antony.


Draska playing the role of a mummified handmaiden who tried to kill Cleopatra to gain Antonys heart and cursed the pair, attempted to poison Wonder Woman as well, and set explosives across the Egyptian temples and pyramids Magnum Magnus was using for filming, intending to ruin the studio.


However Wonder Woman breaking free, succeeded in capturing Draska, outing Sensation Pictures evil scheme, and saved the film which used the whole thing to build up publicity.

Day 804: Prince Polar
Fiance of Princess Snowina of Snowland, the land of the snow people where everyone is made from ice and snow, Prince Polar is head over heels for the princess who rules their land, constantly trying to woo her and win her favor.

Obsessed with sports and feats of skill and strength, Prince Polar often takes the Princess snow boarding, skiing, and polar bear riding for her amusement. The apple of her eye, it seemed as though their marriage was all but inevitable. Known for being fearless, brave, handsome, and strong, Prince Polar had the eyes of many on him for is amazing deeds of daring do.

Minister Blizzard however wanting to rule Snowland with Snowina as a puppet, plotted to win her favor. Thus leading a group of his men with freeze rays, Minister Blizzard attempted to encase Manhatten in ice, and have it airlifted to the northpole where Snowland was based, presenting the new city to Snowina as a present.

And just to make sure that she would like it, he also had commisioned a mind control ray so that he could brain wash her into believing she wanted to marry him for bestowing upon her such a gift.

Wonder Woman however not about to let the fiend get away with any of that, defeated his goons and faced with his mind control ray she overcame it with sheer mental power, she had defeated Minister Blizzard and returned him to Snowland where thanks to the magic lasso, he confessed to his crimes.
