Year of Wonder Woman

Day 621: Brian Black Hat

Leader of the green hat gang, Brian Black Hat is one of the many criminals of gangland who sought to destroy Wonder Woman. However unlike others who tried and failed to kill Wonder Woman or attempted to imprison her, Brian Black Hat realized that so long as Wonder Woman believed in herself, she could do anything. Thus, Brian was determined to destroy the idea of Wonder Woman.

With the assistance of the wealthiest criminals, Brian bought a massive skyscraper, and filled every floor with enough amnesia gas and knockout gas to give the entire country amnesia and put them into a coma for years.

Then luring Wonder Woman to the building with a false report of their gang being based out of it, they waited until Wonder Woman entered the building, then pumped every floor with heavy amounts of the gas, and then blew the whole place up.

Well aware that Wonder Woman would probably survive the wreckage somehow since Wonder Woman has survived everything else so far, they searched through the wreckage and found Wonder Woman still alive.

Convinced at this point that it was literally impossible to kill Wonder Woman, they instead removed her bracelets and lasso, replacing them with forgeries and carted her off to a tiny apartment at the edge of town and left her there, figuring that she would probably regain consciousness eventually.

Leaving the real ones amidst the rubble for Steve Trevor to find, Wonder Woman was declared dead, much to regret of one and all. For tests proved they were the indestructible bracelets and magic lasso of Wonder Woman which she would never be without.

Five days later, Wonder Woman would awaken, having forgotten the past week, and headed to army intelligence, only to be declared an imposter. Intending to prove herself, Wonder Woman suggested they tried shooting her so she could deflect the bullet, unaware that her bracelets had been replaced by a repulsive magnetic metal. Thus when she tried to deflect the bullets, the bracelets bent the bullets around them, and struck Wonder Woman in the arm.

Wounded, Wonder Woman then proceeded to try lassoing Steve with the fake lasso on her belt to command him, only to find it had no magic. Shaken, Wonder Woman ran from the building, beginning to question her very identity and the existence of her abilities....


When a random crook sighting Wonder Woman walking down the street pulled out a gun and attempted to shoot the Amazonian princess in the head, only for her tiara to deflect the bullet with ease! Shocked, Wonder Woman removed her tiara and realizing it was the real mccoy, she proceeded to leap into the air, landing on a building ten stories high!

Peering off into the distance and seeing every building in town, Wonder Woman sighted a small building next to the recently demolished skyscraper she was reported to have died at, and telepathically contacting her invisible plane, she flew over to it and confronted the criminals behind this effort and they opened fire on her, declaring she was helpless without her lasso and bracelets!

Instead Wonder Woman removing her tiara again, threw it, knocking the guns out of the hands of the criminal fiends, and proceeded to cart the lot of them off to jail before returning to army intelligence and collecting her lasso and bracelets.

Day 622: Professor Dawler
Nuclear physist with dreams of striking it rich, Dawler devised his invention the 'U-X Machine' Which was more effective than a Geiger counter for detecting uranium and operated similarly to a metal detector.

Commisioning someone to build one for him and then attempting to get a loan to pay off the developer, Dawler was shocked when the loan fell through and the man who made it refused to hand over the device until he received payment for services rendered.

Unable to pay the developer without finding uranium which he couldn't find without the device, Professor Dawler resigned himself to failure...Until he spotted Wonder Woman and struck up a conversation with her. Explaining how he needed to pay $15,000 to pay off the investor, he was shocked to discover Wonder Woman had that exact amount for she was trying to raise a million dollars in one day.

Investing in Dawlers invention, they headed to where the scientist thought there might be some uranium out in the Sylvan Hills, and upon discovering it with the device, Wonder Woman dug underground and lassoing the uranium to keep the radiation contained,

Carrying it off and getting half of the profits, Wonder Woman made $750,000 and then began searching for a means of raising the remaining $250,000 when she spied a city hall meeting taking biddings for construction of a dam.

Going in and finding the lowest current bid was to construct it for $250,000, Wonder Woman declared she would do it within a day for $249,999.99 and won the bid.

With less than an hour left to meet her deadline, Wonder Woman gathered local trees and turning them into petrified stone, she created equally sized stone blocks from them and from that constructed an archetectural marvel!

Accepting the money, Wonder Woman raced back to Whytes office with only a minute to spare only to have the money counted and discover she was exactly one cent short!

However Wonder Woman recalling how it all started, pulled out Whytes number one penny which was added to the collection of cash, making for one million dollars.

Shocked by this, Joshua Whyte declared he would donate his entire fortune to charity, and swore to embrace charitable causes evermore.

Day 623: Lily Roden
Wee little Lilly Roden, a tiny child as average as can be for her age with a bright future ahead of her. That is until she was hit by a car, dying on the spot.

But the future has a most terrible way of spinning out from a single event, like a pebble rolling down a hill and eventually causing an avalanche. For Lily Rodens death doomed the world to another world war a mere ten years later, in which nuclear weapons would be deployed. Every major city would be left in ruins. With armies desperately trying to devestate one another.

Wonder Woman alerted to this terrible future by her mother, uses Paulas time machine to travel into the future to see it for herself. There she finds families starving and huddled in ruins of war zones. Peace a distant memory as everyone is either a soldier working to destroy the opposing side, or a refugee desperatly trying to survive in a war no one was able to avoid.

Saving the surviving few from a bombing, Wonder Woman still failed to save the day as in a last ditch effort, someone used a bomb which shattered the world itself, an event which Wonder Woman sighted an instant before she was pulled back into the present day.

Told that this doomed future hinged upon Lily Roden surviving that car crash, Wonder Woman raced to find the little girl exactly where Queen Hippolyta described and scooped her up before she could walk into traffic in persuit of her ball.

Taking Lily instead to get ice cream at the park, Wonder Woman saved the world.

Day 624: Amphibio

Member of the frog men species known as the troglodytes, an ancient race which predates humanity by hundreds of millions of years, Amphibio is one of his peoples nuclear scientists, who has been working with nucelear technology since ancient times. Refusing to let any race dominate the planet, they work from the shadows to utterly destroy anything which may take control.

Their earliest experiments with nuclear technology resulted in a huge chunk of the planet breaking off and forming the moon, forcing them to take refuge deep beneath the Earth from the fallout of the event. Since then, they have attempting to find a way to return their people to the surface world, and destroy any species which sought to supplant them as the Earths dominant species. The most famous of which being the dinosaurs which were destroyed at the hands of the troglodytes.

Caring not for those lives they had taken, the troglodytes believed in survival of the fittest and that there is no wrong in killing those who are weaker for the sake of survival.

Having finally succeeded in their efforts, they devised a nuclear bomb which would destroy the Earths crust and send it flying into space, making their subterranean world the surface world! However one figure stood in their way, threatening to undo everything they worked for. That figure was none other than Wonder Woman.

Concocting a plan, Amphibio and the Troglodytes traveled to the shores in invisibility suits and spying people alongside rivers, the ocean,and waterways, they would blast them with a combination invisibility.paralysis ray, and picking up their invisible victims, they would carry them off. Then trapping them still alive in an artificially made glacier that contained their nuke at its center, they released it into the Atlantic ocean where the blast was calculated to destroy the surface world and leave their subterranian domain unharmed.

However Wonder Woman discovering their plot, used her invisible plane and carefully freeing the hundreds of captives from the glacier, she loaded them onto the invisible plane, sending them to safety as the nuclear bomb went off with enough force to shatter the Earths crust and send it flying off into space!

Wonder Woman however was not one to give up and using her bracelets, Wonder Woman deflected the nuclear explosion, causing the tunnels to the surface world from the troglodytes subteranean domain to be sealed.

And with that, Wonder Woman defeated Amphibio and the Troglodytes.

Day 625: Tara Tarruna

Daughter of Queen Hippolyta and Amazon born from clay, Tara Tarruna is the champion of love and peace, a title granted to her upon being chosen as the champion of the Amazons at the will of the gods, to go out into the world and make it a better place.

The name Tara Tarruna in the english language just happens to translate to 'Wonder Woman' For in reality, Tara Tarruna hails from an alternate universe that exists in paralel to our own. One which bore similarities to the more familiar universe that Wonder Woman calls home, but had several key differences in it that made the universe differ from our own.

For on Tara's Earth, the civilization of ancient Greece lived on into the modern era, with its culture spreading across the world with the world divided by city states where technology never progressed. When Tara Tarruna left the island, she went on to unite the world under one rule, making herself their queen and attempting to reform the world through laws forbidding wars and efforts in the name of equality.

However these efforts were met by plenty of resistance from petty despots around the world who wanted her dead so they may continue fighting for resources and pillaging the states of their rivals. And thus Tara Tarruna faced frequent assassination attempts one after another.

Now due to the unusual nature of alternate universes, if someone and their doppleganger is connected to artifacts which serve as the lynch pin of the universe, they would vaguely share the impressions and experiences of one another. Echoes of their alternates experiences.

Thus so it was that Wonder Woman awoke one day and preparing for her day, she suddenly felt someone strangling her! Reaching behind her and for her neck, she could find no one there, but was running out of air only for the sensation to cease shortly afterwards.

Later while walking down the street, an invisible force hits Wonder Woman sudden;y and she goes flying across a street and into a glass window much to her confusion.

And hours later, suddenly collapses upon the ground, her arms and legs feeling as though they were bound, with the pressing pressure of water and a lack of air as though she was being drowned.

This would continue for days, until Wonder Woman chasing after criminals through a rainstorm raised her lasso to catch the car, Wonder Woman stumbled forward, feeling as though someone struck her in the back of the head, her lasso flying up into the air.

The metallic lasso was struck by lightning and in a blinding flash, Wonder Woman found herself falling from a cliff, with her lasso nowhere in sight (for unique objects like the magic lasso are bound to their respective universe) where she met Tara Tarruna, likewise falling from a cliff, suffering from a head injury.

Wonder Woman awakening her doppleganger, helped Tara right herself, and Tara lasso'd a jagged rock and grabbed Wonder Woman, swinging them to the ground safely.

Introducing themselves and realizing what had occured, Tara declared she would do everything she could to help Wonder Woman return to her home universe, to which Diana declared she would not leave until she had help Tara stop the fiend attempting to end her life.

Its worth mentioning that this is the first example of an alternate universe or a multiverse in DC comics by eight years. For all DC likes to insist it all started with the Flash, Wonder Woman once again is the true origin of it all.

Day 626: Ace Hale

One of the top stunt men thirty years ago, Ace Hale is an aging talent who still considers himself the best. However the years not being kind to him, Ace was finding himself being outdone by younger and more talented individuals in their prime.

When Wonder Woman is called in to do a series of life threatening stunts with proceeds going to charity, Ace was outraged, and declared that if he put on a wig, he could look just like the lead actress and do the stunt with no problem!

However the studio was uninterested in Ace's protests and declared they would have chosen Bill Tops, a young upcoming stuntman to do the stunts had Wonder Woman declined. Wonder Woman discovering this, asked to have Bill work with her on those stunts, to which Ace Hale swore he would kill them both so that he would reign as supreme stuntman once more!

Thus N.J the producer had Diana and Bill doing stunts for 'Adventuring days' unaware of Ace Hales actions as the wagon they were riding down a ravine exploded due to dynamite stuffed in the underside of it. A disaster Wonder Woman handily survived, carrying Bill off to safety.

Then there was the parachuting stunt in which both of their parachutes were sabotaged, forcing Wonder Woman to call the invisible plane to rescue them.

Finally there was the riding of an elephant across a rope bridge, which nearly ended in disaster were it not for Wonder Woman spying Ace Hale using a gun and trying to shoot the elephant and cause it to panic, sending all three to their deaths.

With Ace Hale locked away and everyone safe, the movie went as intended thanks to Wonder Woman.

Day 627: Duke Dazam
Ruler of the east nile empire In the alternate universe in which ancient Greece culture permeated the entire world, Duke Dazam ruling from his greco-gyptian castle, was bitter and outraged that he couldn't wage war and conquer the surrounding lands now that Tara Tarruna ruled the world.

Thus plotting to conquer the world, Duke Dazam arranged for assassination attempt after assassination attempt, all in an effort to end the life of the Amazonian princess. Only to be foiled time and time again by Taras incredible abilities. Her magic lasso. And her invisible submarine.

Going at it for a month of constant assasination attempts with hundreds of people constantly seeking Taras death, Duke Dazam was certain he had succeeded at last when his men bludgeoned her across the head and tossed her off a cliff....Only for Wonder Woman to travel to this alternate universe and rescue her doppleganger!

Though Wonder Woman lacked her magic lasso which was bound to her home universe, she still possessed all of her other abilities, and thus, She declared she would escort Tara back to her capital, an island in the center of the Bermuda triangle from which Tara Tarruna ruled the world with love and peace.

Encountering the entire armada of Duke Dazam, the two Amazons worked together and effortlessly strung the lot of them up and hauled them to port. Tara thus returned to her castle and sat down on her throne...Only for Duke Dazam to grab her lasso and attempted to strangle Tara with it!

However Duke Dazam was not expecting Wonder Woman who grabbing Duke Dazam by the scruff of the neck, picked him up and shook the villain until he ceased his nonsense.

And thus Duke Dazam was at last stopped!

As for Wonder Woman, she was gifted the magic lasso by Tara and Wonder Woman thanking her dopple from this universe, was about to say more when she was struck by lightning and returned to her home universe, her own magic lasso at her feet for she had returned to the very spot she had been before traveling to another universe.

Day 628: Angles Andrews
Criminal gangster who boasts that he knows every angle, Angles Andrews paints himself as a brilliant mind who plans for every contingency and knows every variable for every plan he has.

One day while preparing to rob a jewelery store, Angles Andrews and his gang were waylaid for the gluetrap gang was trying to rob the same location, only to be confronted by Wonder Woman!

Holding back and watching, they saw the gluetrap gang dump a vat of glue onto the ground just as Wonder Woman gave chase, trapping her in place as they ran away! However Wonder Woman crouching down, lept out of her boots and catching the rope ladder for her invisible plane, she gave chase, lassoing the gluetrap gang!

An idea occuring to Angles, he had his men retrieve Wonder Womans boots from the glue trap by washing away the glue and ran off with Wonder Womans footwear! Their plan? Put up an ad in the classifieds with an unlisted phone number and declaring that they had Wonder Womans boots, asked for Wonder Woman to call with her name and address so they could mail the boots back to her!

Their plan? Find out Wonder Womans name and address, and then kill her! A fool proof scheme!....Were it not for the fact that two women returned the call and gave their addresses. Convinced that one of them had to be the real Wonder Woman, Angles Andrews swore to put an end to Wonder Woman once and for all!

Day 629: Princess Aranee
Ruler of the island kingdom of Bourabia thousands of years ago in the time of Aladdin, Princess Aranee ruled her land through love and kindess, creating a utopian Arabian kingdom that was the gem of the ancient world.

However not all were pleased with the prosperous land with its influx of trade, its bountiful land, and its joyous people. Such as the dreaded evil genie Zoxab who took a malicious delight in cruelty and imbuing sheer terror in his victims, forcing them to suffer for centuries undying to his amusement.

Thus in an effort to end Aranee's reign, Zoxab attempted time and time again to end her life and take her kingdom for himself! However the wizards of Bourabia were able to protect the kingdom from his most dark magics, keeping the princess safe from harm.

Thus Zoxab created a magic ring with a powerful curse which would after 24 hours, put the wearer into an eternal slumber, and tricked Princess Aranee into putting it on. Thus with the princess gone, Zoxab took a sadistic delight in tormenting the people. Cursing the land. And turning the people into animals whom he chased and hunted for sport. Turning the once powerful wizards into rocks surrounding the sleeping princess who remained asleep as her kingdom fell to ruin.

And so Princess Aranwee unconscious, unknowingly waited for someone to save her fallen kingdom from the evil genie.

Day 630: Gloria Gaye
Talented actress of stage and theater, Gloria Gaye is a star who dreams of making it big and becoming an instant success. Striving to get her name out there, Gloria sought any method moral or otherwise to score big and spread her name across the world.

Thus upon reading in the classifieds that someone had found Wonder Womans boots, Gloria got it into her head that if she got them for herself, she would acquire the acclaim and attention of Wonder Woman herself through foot-based osmosis!

So answering the ad and putting down her name and number claiming to be Wonder Woman, Gloria eagerly awaited the boots in the mail. Before they could arrive however, Gloria got a phone call from Mr. Brown the producer, offering her a lead role for the show he will be doing at Acre theater if she could be there on the double!

Gloria convinced that she had finally had her big break and that the shoes were already changing her life for the better, hurried into the theater and told to go on stage to audition she did....To find every seat in the house and every box seat was filled with gangsters armed with guns!


Mr. Brown remaining backstage with the people who operate behind the scenes also had guns trained on Gloria Gaye and boasted that him and the theater were in reality a front for the mob! And that at last, they would put an end to Wonder Woman! Gloria attempted to explain that she wasn't really Wonder Woman and that she just wanted the boots but they would not listen and fired upon poor Gloria Gaye....

Only for the great Amazon princess of love and peace to arrive for Wonder Woman passing by the theater heard the guns firing and running into the theater, changing into her costume, and running onto the stage, Wonder Woman beat the bullets to the actress and proceeded to deflect several hundred bullets from every possible direction!

Leaping up into the air and grabbing sandbags, she proceeded to chuck them at the boxes, shattering them to pieces and sending the criminals cooped up inside of them plummeting to the ground level. And pulling down the curtain, Wonder Woman caught Mr. Brown and the backstage crew! Finally, Wonder Woman pulled out her lasso and proceeded to lasso the couple hundred members of the audience who attended for the chance to kill Wonder Woman, and carted the lot of them off to jail.

Gloria Gaye from then on swore that she would never again lie to further her career.

Day 631: Zoxab

Evil genie whose been around for thousands of years, Zoxab delights in the terror and torment of mortal beings, and exerts his abilities to worsening the quality of life. Bound by genie laws which constrain what he can do, Zoxab can only exert his full abilities within a domain he can call his own.

Thus having conquered Bourabia and bound the princess in an eternal slumber, that island nation suffered for several centuries under Zoxabs torment. Its people cursed to never die as he toyed with them for countless years.

However Zoxab feared that the princess may one day regain consciousness for due to genie laws, Zoxab was required to create a loophole which would allow someone to break the curse. the accursed ring which Zoxab had enchanted to put its bearer to sleep within twenty four hours also had a catch, as should the bearer upon being put to sleep remove and don the ring again, the curse would be broken.

So it was that Zoxab entombed the sleeping princess into a glass casket and chucked that ring to the sea where it would never bee seen again, dooming the people of Bourabia to be tormented by the genie until the end of time!

That is until one day Queen Hippolyta was taking a walk on the beach when she stumbled across that very ring. Not knowing better and putting it on, Hippolyta soon fell into a cursed slumber, leading to Wonder Woman rushing back home to see to her mother. deducing the ring was to blame, Wonder Woman put it on herself so she could investigate the effects, and found she could not remove the ring.

Putting the ring under a magnifying glass, Wonder Woman discovered it was signed by its creator Zoxab the genie. Knowing that he was responsible for dooming the country of Bourabia centuries ago, Wonder Woman journeyed to that land and soon discovered the slumbering Princess Aranee.

Before Wonder Woman could rescue her, she was confronted by Zoxab who trapped Wonder Woman under a glass. Sighting the ring, Zoxab boasted that it would be impossible to remove for 24 hours and that Wonder Woman would never be able to free princess Aranee with a touch of the magic ring, breaking the spell! For seeing Wonder Woman there, Zoxab assumed she had already discovered the key to breaking the curse.

However Wonder Woman knowing how to deal with a genie, used her tiara to cut the glass imprisoning her and made a run for it across the sandy expanse that used to be Bourabian farmland.

Walking on her hands, Wonder Woman rubbed her bracelets together super fast as she moved to keep ahead of the genie, turning the sand into glass. The fearsome hundred foot tall genie giving chase found himself slipping and falling on the glass, giving Wonder Woman time to fashion the sand into a bottle and turn it into glass.

Diving under Zoxab and holding up the bottle, she trapped the evil genie within and stoppered it, putting an end to his dark reign.

Thus Wonder Woman fighting slumber, hurried to Princess Aranee and broke the spell, freeing Bourabia from the curse of Zoxab as the land and its people were restored to before his evil rule.

With the evil genie in tow, Wonder Woman hurried back to Paradise Island and lifted the curse on Queen Hippolyta as well before succumbing to the curse, only to be awoken the following morning by queen Hippolyta after a good nights sleep.

And so Zoxab and his cursed ring were locked away by the Amazons to keep their evil from causing harm.

Day 632: Sue Randolph

Reporter for the daily express, Sue Randolph was a journalist who was willing to go to any length for a scoop. Be it traveling across the world or outright theft, no act was beneath Sue in the name of the story.

Reading the classified ad by someone claiming to have Wonder Womans boots and asking for her address and phone number so they could send them to her, Sue Randolph jumped at the chance and lied claiming to be Wonder Woman so she could do a piece about the boots and turn around and use them to blackmail Wonder Woman into doing an interview.

While waiting for a response, Sue recieved an anonymous tip that an experimental superjet was being stored in a small airfield outside of town and eager to get the scoop on it, Sue hurried over, snuck into the airport, only to discover it was all a plot by Angles Andrew to kill Wonder Woman!

Convinced that Sue was Wonder Woman since she answered the ad, Angles had his men grab Sue and attempted to shove her through the running jet engine!

However jet engines not being known for their quiet motors, soon drew the attention of Wonder Woman who swooping in discovered Angles Andrews with her boots and leaping at Angles, she landed into him, slipping into her boots in the same motion!

Then quickly capturing Angles gang, Wonder Woman carted the lot of them off to jail, leaving Sue with a heck of a story.

Day 633: Thought Master

Powerful mentalist and master of psychic illusion, Thought Master is the master of thought whose name echoes in the darkest corners of gangland. For Thought Master has the ability to pull someone into a mental world that alters an individuals five senses, causing them to move, talk, and act in the outside world to whatever scenario he has playing in their minds using his incredible mental powers.

Creating the illusion of a mans wife and tricking him into running off a cliff into what he thought was the door of his own home.

Fooling a man into publically giving his money away to a criminal mob when in his own mind he was donating to a charity.

Tricking a police officer into pulling out his gun and shooting at a group of government officials when in his own mind, the officer just saw a bank being robbed by a group of armed hoodlums.

The Thought Master uses his mental power to take contract jobs for the mobs and accomplish them without getting his own hands dirty. Since its impossible to prove someone used mental powers to trick someone into comitting suicide or into shooting an innocent man, Thought Master was seemingly unstoppable. His only weakness being that he must remain within fifty feet of his target for his powers to work.

Yet time and again his efforts kept being foiled by none other than Wonder Woman whose magic lasso has the power to pierce his illusionary worlds. Anyone bound by the magic lasso is freed from Thought Masters illusion and speaking the truth, will reveal the misunderstanding.

Thus Wonder Woman and the Thought Master had been playing a constant game of cat and mouse. With Wonder Woman foiling his schemes, and Thought Master always avoiding revealing himself.

That all came to a head when one day the combined crime bosses of gangland got together and hired Thought Master to kill Wonder Woman. Thus the Amazon princess found herself in a world where her efforts to help people led to more harm than good. Where crime was unstopable, and even Steve declared she was incapable of helping others.

Just when Wonder Woman was about to resign herself to failure however, she realized that Steve would never say such things to her, and binding herself with the lasso, she broke the illusion and discovered the 'Steve' she was speaking to was none other than Thought Master! Thus lassoing the criminal, Wonder Woman had him confess to his crimes and carted the criminal away, ending the Thought Masters reign of terror.

Day 634: Jup-Ri

A Jovian astronomer of Jupiter, Jup-Ri would constantly watch the skies, recording planetary alighnments and the paths of various meteors and comets in space. Tracking the paths of planets as he usually did, he was shocked to discover...The Earth had been obliterated!

Notifying the leader of the Jovians, several amongst them took to their spacecraft to investigate the wreckage, finding naught but debris, wreckage, and the dead bodies of numerous Earthlings including Wonder Woman.

Returning back to Jupiter with the dead humans and remnants of their lost civilization, the Jovians decided to preserve them in remembrance of that lost world. Thus a hall of one of their museums became home to what appeared to be a macabre miniaturized model of an American city recreated from the lost wreckage from the perspective of the hundred foot tall Jovians. The bodies of those dead humans placed into a form of suspended animation, positioned so they looked to be frozen in place going about their normal day.

However a week after the planet Earth had been obliterated Wonder Woman not about to put up with any of this Earth destroyed business <b>CAME BACK TO LIFE!</b> Because shes awesome like that.

Speaking with Jodoh and Jup-Ri, Wonder Woman discovered that the Earth had been destroyed by the Duke of Deception who claimed credit for the destruction.

Thus Wonder building from scratch a time machine, traveled into the past and headed for Paradise Island to meet with her mother and discover the threat before it could pass, only to discover the Amazons had found a chest lying on the beach and were about to open it!

Wonder Woman suspicious, grabbed the box before it could be opened and flying up into space, opened it to reveal several million Martian soldiers, spacecraft and weaponry meant to destroy Paradise Island and then the world!

Wonder Woman worked to fend off the Martians and their combined forces but just when it seemed like they might overpower the Amazonian princess, Queen Hippolyta led her fellow Amazons upwards into space, driving the Duke of Deception and his millions away back to the planet Mars!

And thus so it was that Wonder Woman once again saved the Earth.

Day 635: Arra

Amazon of Paradise Island, Arra is a master of the high jump and various athletic jumping based sports. From the pole vault to the sport of kangaroo jumping, Arra was considered one of the most talented Amazons on the island.

That is of course with the exception of Diana whose managed to break every single one of Arra's records. Leaping over sky kangas. Pole vaulting hundreds of feet into the air. In fact so determined to prove herself was Diana that she would insist upon being bound from head to toe in chains before attempting these feats, and proceeding to go twice the distance that Arra did in the process.

She was also one of the many Amazons who rose to the defense of Earth when the Duke of Deception invaded with polar rays meant to freeze the Earth and create a new ice age, killing humanity in the process.

Struck by the ray and freezing into ice, Arra with the other Amazons followed Wonder Woman into space in their swan planes. Moving at such intense speeds that the heat from leaving the Earths atmosphere melted away the ice surrounding their aircraft. Flying back down at intense speeds and deflecting the polar rays back at the Martian forces, the Amazons sent half of the invading ships crashing into the sea, forcing the remainder to pile into the remaining space craft to escape the planet.

Day 636: Jean Brand

A young girl whose a member of the Wonder Woman fan club, Jean was an inquisitive child who couldn't help but notice Wonder Woman wore earings all the time.

For as everyone knows, Wonder Woman carries a magic lasso that can make anyone obey her every command.

She possesses the bracelets of submission made from an indestructible metal which she can use to defend against anything from bullets to lasers to nuclear fallout.

She posesses indestructable boots with secret storage compartments built into them.

And the indestructible tiara which could be used to deflect bullets or thrown like a boomerang.

But noticing the earings, Jean could not help but wonder if they to posessed some special property that aided Wonder Woman in her exploits. in the name of justice. Thus, she sent a letter to Wonder Woman in search of an answer. And naturally enough, Wonder Woman wrote a reply.

For not only did the earrings serve as telepathic receivers allowing Wonder Woman to receive mental calls from across the cosmos, but on one of her adventures, Wonder Woman redesigned them to allow her to breath in space!

For one day the Duke of Deception plotting to destroy Wonder Woman as one is wont to do, realized that Wonder Woman uses her earings to recieve telepathic signals and posing as Queen Hippolyta, radio'd Wonder Woman declaring she had been kidnapped by the Duke of Deception and was in a rocket headed for Mars!

Wonder Woman naturally dropped everything to come to her mothers aid and broke into the rocket to rescue her mother...Only for the Duke of Deception to capture her with her own magic lasso! Revealing his true identity, the Duke of Deception left her in the rocket with the door open, declaring she would soon run out of air and trapped, Wonder Woman seemed doomed!


But getting an idea, Diana took her earings and pressing them against her bracelets, she magically changed them to now provide oxygen! Thus Wonder Woman now able to breath, had the time to free herself from the magic lasso and fly home in the invisible plane.

Day 637: General Jove
Race of alien invaders from another dimension. General Jove hails from a universe where movies are real and their events play out as reality in their home dimension. Every action film. Every horror. Every monster movie. Their events play out in reality in their home dimension and those creatives are native to their realm.

Upon discovering the reality that influences their own, General Jove declared he would lead an invasion, take over that universe, and then they would proceed to alter their reality to serve their needs!

Thus upon devising a means of using movie theater screens as portals across dimensions, General Jove began by unleashing hordes of giant monsters across the world! Every scene a monster would appear in spawned it anew, creating multiple copies of each monster! Giant birds. Kraken. giant fire breathing lizards. Cyclops. The world was in peril due to the giant monster movie craze!

Fortunatly Wonder Woman was there to save the day! Capturing each and every single monster as they worked to scale buildings, attempt to swallow ocean liners and presumably working their way towards destroying tokyo, she imprisoned them so they could do no harm, Wonder Woman investigated and discovered they were tied to the recent 3d movie craze that swept the 1950s!

Entering the Bijou theater and catching the movie Dark Planet which was playing a second time after the recent monster appearance, Wonder Woman discovered that the scenes the monster had been in previously were absent, and continued watching, only for another copy of the monster to appear in a scene not previously shown!

Capturing the monster effortlessly because of course, Wonder Woman continued watching and discovered a group of alien entities in the movie discussing how their efforts to invade the 3d world were being met with resistance.

Wonder Woman realizing what was going on and figuring out that this world was mirroring events recorded in movies, hurriedly designed a series of costumes based upon General Jove and his men, got the Holliday Girls to dress up in said costumes, and proceeded to make a movie about herself defeating General Jove and his men!

Sure enough, the events in the movie Wonder Woman made played out as reality in that other dimension, and General Jove was defeated at last.

Day 638: Professor Dekon

Professor of radio mentology living in San Fransico, Professor Dekon has been experimenting with a means of transmitting images that an individual saw into the minds of others using a mechanical device of his own invention!

Convinced that such an invention would benefit law enforcement trying to gain witness testimony and help people to understand a situation from the viewpoint of others, Dekon was dedicated to his research with a reputation known across the world for his efforts.

Thus when the Duke of Deception was plotting to kill Wonder Woman, he realized the perfect plan would be to pose as Professor Dekon and came up with an elaborate and convoluted plan!

Taking on the appearance of professor Dekon, the Duke of Deception used an abandoned building which he gave the guise of a laboratory using his abilities and bending his abilities, he caused Wonder Woman to upon waking, see herself in that building in San Fransisco much to her confusion. Leaving the place, Wonder Woman trying to fly to New York, found herself instead heading for San Fransisco thanks to the Duke of Deception altering the geography that Wonder Woman percieved to send her towards him.

Upon arriving, Wonder Woman confused, sought out the building she had found herself in and entered to encounter 'Professor Dekon' who explained that he used his machine to replace her visual perception with his own in order to bring her there.

Thus the disguised Duke of Deception explained that he was being spied upon by an alien race known as the 'Orlusions' from planet Orbis who have invisibly imprisoned Professor Dekon within his laboratory until he hands over the secret of his invention to them so they may invade the Earth!

And thus Wonder Woman flew off into space as the Duke of Deception used his powers to make her perceive an alien invasion attacking the west coast while in truth he sent his martians to invade the countries capital!

Wonder Woman sighting the invaders as she flew through a rain cloud at such high speeds that it turned into a giant snowball, got an idea and lassoing the snowball, she threw it in an arc at the invading alien ships! Watching with confusion as the ships faded away, Wonder Woman assumed she had defeated them, unaware as the snowball traveling in an arc around the planet, smashed into the invading martian rockets and sent them crashing into the sea.

Seeing Wonder Woman so easily best his fleet despite his brilliant scheme, the Duke of Deception was convinced that his powers were useless against Wonder Woman, never to bother trying that trick again.

Meanwhile the real Professor Dekon continued toiling away trying to perfect his invention.

Day 639: Queen Niada

Ruler of Sardonia 400 years ago, Queen Niada against all odds just so happened to bear an uncanny resemblance to Wonder Woman. This was oft commented upon by historians who compared the portraits of Niada to her modern counterpart, however the most curious image of all was that of the queens coronation...When she was dressed as Wonder Woman.

Seeing this portrait on her visit to the museum, Wonder Woman decides to travel into the distant past and using a time machine, traveled back to 16th century Sardonia to find herself being attacked by a band of soldiers! Fending off the fiends who exclaimed that it was impossible for her to have escaped and declared she must be killed before the coronation, Wonder Woman sent them packing and headed for the castle to meet Queen Niada, to find she was missing!

Instead, everyone assumed Wonder Woman herself was queen Niada who had vanished one month ago, and exclaimed relief that she had arrived for if she had failed to arrive on that day, her famously evil brother Prince Rupert would have ascended to the throne by right of blood!

Thus Wonder Woman was coronated queen of Sardonia and had her portrait taken that very day, explaining away yet another of these totally baffling mysteries for why there was evidence of Wonder Woman in the distant past that she knew nothing about.

Day 640: Randall Thomas
President of the Wonder Woman fan club which he integrated himself into after years of effort, Randall Thomas made it into the highest position for honoring Wonder Woman and celebrating her. Often declaring himself to be her biggest fan.

In reality however, Randall Thomas loathed and hated Wonder Woman, and was the true leader of the Wonder Woman hate club, using his position to undermine Wonder Womans popularity and ruin her image in order to ruin her reputation!

Leading the Wonder Woman hate club which was peopled by criminals across the world, Randall Thomas devised a plan to end Wonder Woman for good and in the process rob all of New York City!

Thus as head of the Wonder Woman fan club, Randall Thomas got permission to host a grand parade down main street! Thus inventing special oxygen nose plugs to ward against any form of gas, he commissioned a dozen giant parade balloons of wonder woman with the help of his evil secretary Allan Henly, and filled them with an odorless colorless knock out gas!

The city shut down on the day the parade was announced, with the largest crowd of any parade ever arriving to see it. Thus the parade began but midway through, the balloons began emitting knock out gas, putting the entire city to sleep with the exception of Wonder Woman!

Diving at the criminals, she was about to stop them when they activated their trap and Wonder Woman was stuck in a giant balloon version of herself which lifted off into space! Trapped in a vacuum of air, Wonder Woman could not pierce the balloon and summoned her invisible plane to smash through it, only for the balloon to self seal the moment the plane passed through it.

So thinking fast, Wonder Woman began moving in place so fast that she began to vibrate, causing the entire balloon to explode! Landing on the invisible plane, Wonder Woman discovered that Randall Thomas and his men had robbed every bank, jewelery store, and museum in the city and were escaping in cars tied to Wonder Woman balloons!

Wonder Woman not about to let them get away with that lasso'd the balloons, putting an end to the Wonder Woman hate club and their nefarious plot.

Day 641: Prince Rupert
Villainous prince of Sardonia and renowned villain across the land. Prince Rupert hungers for power and wants the throne that was promised to his sister. Hiring mercenaries to replace the palace guard, Prince Rupert had his sister locked away in the dungeons, intending for her to be assumed dead so he can ascend to the throne.

However when Wonder Woman traveled to the distant past and happened to look just like the captive princess, she wound up crowned as Queen Niada, foiling Ruperts plot. Thus plotting to kill Niada outright since attempts to simply imprison her for life had failed, Prince Rupert arranged for the banquet in her honor to be heavily drugged with sleeping toxin so she could be thrown into the moat, so it could be assumed she lost in the revelry, fell to her demise.

However the cold water instead waking her up, Wonder Woman punched a hole through the palace wall, the moat draining into the dungeons where Wonder Woman discovered the real Queen Niada in chains! Freeing her, Wonder Woman picked her up and carried her to the throne room, effortlessly batting away Prince Ruperts men as they came at her en masse with spears and swords, to find the prince sitting on the thrown, already working on his coronation portrait mere minutes after having Wonder Woman tossed into the moat!

Lasso'ing Prince Rupert, Wonder Woman pulled him from the throne for Queen Niada's knights to capture and take away along with the villains mercenaries, and traveled back to the future from that time 400 years past.

Day 642: Albert Easel

Sponsor and judge of the Wonder Woman art contest which rewards cash prizes for the more impressive artwork depicting Wonder Woman, Albert Easel upon declaring a winner would go on to open a museum depicting all of the entries including the first, second, and third place winners.

In reality however, Albert was plotting to end Wonder Womans life and the entire contest was all but a ruse to destroy her. Commisioning three paintings of specific locations and Wonder Woman performing impossible feats, he declared the three paintings the winners and invited Wonder Woman to the museums opening in order to play to her one weakness!

Declaring he would donate $10,000 to charity for every feat depicted in those winning paintings that she performed, Albert offered to arrange for demonstrations of her ability to see it happen! Wonder Woman naturally being unable to say no to any charity effort or offer to help the poor and needy of course accepted, walking right into the trap set by Albert Easel.

First at a building under construction, Wonder Woman was expected to recreate 'passing a steel girder through the eye of an ordinary needle' A challenge Wonder Woman proceeded to pull off by holding the needle with one hand, holding the girder with the other and squeezing the steel girder until it liquified, the molten metal dripping through the eye of the needle.

But once Wonder Woman achieved this feat, the entire building of steel girders fell upon her! Wonder Woman spotting this in the nick of time however, proceeding to deflect every oncoming girder, keeping her safe from harm!

The second feat depicted Wonder Woman walking across water and faced with this challenge, Wonder Woman was led to a mile long lake where she went to collect a number of flat stones and began skipping them clear across the lake and with that last stone throne just as the first stone neared the shore, Wonder Woman moved at incredible speeds, leaping from stone to stone as it bounced off the water, seemingly running on water in the process!

However just as she reached the opposite shore, she was attacked by divers with harpoon guns who attempted to strike her from below the water, convinced that she would not be able to move her arms quickly enough to evade it. A plan with some small chance of working were it not for the fact that Wonder Womans boots were likewise indestructible, allowing her to effortlessly kick the harpoons away, and capture the criminals who had apparently been hired by an unknown figure.

The final feat was carrying a ball of water and using it to put out a house on fire. A feat Wonder Woman easily accomplished upon being presented with the burning house by running for the mountains, coming back with a giant snowball and rushing back to throw it upon the fire!

However as Wonder Woman returned she was beset upon by a group of killers with flame throwers! Thus tossing the snowball, she simultaneously took out the fire of the house and trapped the criminals beneath a pile of snow.

And Wonder Woman suspicious of so many killers aware of exactly where she would be, lasso'd Easel and got him to confess to staging the whole thing, leading to the criminal being locked away.

Day 643: Mayor Graves
Evil mayor of the wild west town of Lawless. Mayor Graves puts on the facade of a law abiding public figure with a concern for the citizens. In reality however, Mayor Graves was leader of a local band of outlaws who killed every member of law enforcement the town had, and ruled with an iron fist, taking whatever seemed valuable from the townsfolk.

Hiring new Sheriffs in order to maintain the facade Graves would arrange for them to be ambushed within minutes of setting foot into the city, maintaining his iron grip on the town. However the people hearing of Wonder Womans exploits urged Graves to hire her and thus at great reluctance the mayor called for Wonder Woman to help, mailing her a badge full of bullet holes with a letter.

Naturally not one to be scared away, Wonder Woman rose to the call and upon arriving in the town, Wonder Woman was soon under assault by a dozen gunmen. Managing to capture the lot of them with no trouble, Wonder Woman was met by great acclaim for managing to take ten steps into the town without dying. A first in the towns history.

With all of his gunmen behind bars, Mayor Graves tried to poison Wonder Woman using a badge of honor for saving the town. However Wonder Woman noting the affects of the poison, quickly devised an antidote and lasso'd the mayor, making him confess to his criminal deeds.

And thus so it was that Graves and his men were locked away, and the towns name was changed to Lawful. Thanks to Wonder Woman.

Day 644: Professor Wells
An American scientist in the field of geology, Professor Wells was on Easter Island, Wells was fascinated by the mystery of the statues of the island and was determined to uncover their secrets. However while investigating them, he mysteriously vanished, making him the eleventh scientist who disappear in such a way!

Shortly afterward, people on the island noticed something quite peculiar. A new never before seen moai statue...Of Wonder Woman! Diana hearing about this and quite curious traveled to Easter Island to examine the statue to find an entrance at its base to a staircase going deep below the earth!

Traveling downward, Wonder Woman soon arrived in a dark room...When an electrified cage dropped down upon her, trapping her! And revealing themselves at last were....Tiny bodied big headed aliens who looked exactly like moai statues! Hailing from another galaxy on the planet Lapizuria, the aliens had been part of a research expedition to chart the galaxy and conduct a study of native species.

However a freak accident led to the aliens ship crashing on Easter Island, killing their scientists and engineers in the process. With no knowledge of how to repair their ship, the aliens constructed the moai statues in the hopes that another ship from their planet would notice them and come to investigate.

But after hundreds of years, the aliens tired of waiting, decided to attempt to force the human race to aid them in their effort! However not having a means of leaving the island, the aliens spied upon those who came upon the island and anyone who was revealed to be a doctor or a professor would be kidnapped and press ganged into repairing their vessel!

However much to their ire, a collection of geologists, archeologists, and botanists are not the correct team of experts to rely upon to repair a centuries old alien space craft, meaning it was all fruitless. Thus the aliens using their ships telepathy ray to read the minds of the scientists and discover who they believed could repair the ship and every single one of them thought of Wonder Woman!


Thus getting her attention and capturing her, the aliens attempted to make her help them! Wonder Woman after breaking free of the cage and freeing the scientists thus proceeded to inspect the ship and noticing its radio, she effortlessly repaired it and called for help, leading to the aliens getting a lift back to their home planet.

And thus the day was saved once again thanks to Wonder Woman.

Day 655: Ed House
World champion in pole vaulting, Ed House was one of a score of world champions who could proudly proclaim themselves to be the very best in their respective sports. Training for the Olympics, Ed was looking forward to another wonderful competition when suddenly he vanished into thin air along with many other athletes!

Wonder Woman investigating, discovered they were spirited away by the armies of Mars and traveling to the planet, she discovered Ed and the others were heavily drugged and imprisoned in a coliseum by the Duke of Deception who gathering representatives from every planet in the solar system, attempted to make the case that they should band together to destroy the Earth!

Others however were quick to point out that Earthlings had phenomenal abilities and would likley kick their butts, for as all of them knew about the likes of Wonder Woman, Etta Candy, and Steve Trevor, they had little doubt that the Earth could defeat the combined might of every army in the galaxy!

The Duke of Deception however had a plan! For showing proof that those he kidnapped were considered the greatest athletes of Earth, he invited champions from other worlds to best them, proving that Earthlings were inferior to those athletes from other worlds!

And just to ensure that his plan would go off without a hitch, he drugged the Earth athletes so they moved and acted like two toed sloths, with no energy, reaction time, or grasp of their surroundings.

Was there any chance of succeeding? Was the Earth doomed? Could anyone possibly save the day in this dire time of need?!
