Year of Wonder Woman

Day 546: Susan Smith
Etta Candys neighbor and heir to the Galloping Y ranch, Susan Smith invited Etta and a guest (which wound up being Wonder Woman) to attend her wedding. For Susan Smith a professional rancher who planned to take over her fathers ranch one day had fallen for one of the ranch hands, a lad by the name of Bill Cloud.

Etta going ahead while Wonder Woman took care of some business, was traveling by stage coach to the Galloping Y ranch to meet the bride. However tragedy struck when a bandit on horseback held up the coach as it was driving along a cliff overlooking deathfall chasm. Blinding the driver with a mirrror and shooting at them at the same time, the panicked teamster went over the cliff to his certain death!

That is were it not for Wonder Woman! Arriving via the invisible plane, she caught the wagon and horses while hanging from the rope ladder of her invisible plane and carried them down to the ground safe and sound!

Etta and Wonder Woman would arrive at the Galloping Y ranch with quite a story to tell, the bandit having vanished. Greeted by a joyful Susan Smith who convinces Wonder Woman and Etta to be her brides maids, they are soon met by Bill Cloud, the man Susan had fallen for.

Their introduction though was interrupted by Susan's father and Luke Tyler the foreman who accused Bill Clouds father of being the nefarious bandit behind the whole ordeal!

Susan Smith knowing better declared it to be impossible and Wonder Woman seeing how much Susan and Bill cared for one another, was determined to help their love blossom!

Day 547: Mano
Chief elder of Satphix, Mano is a brilliant scientist of an alien planet. Specializing in rocket science and astronomy, Mano discovered something most catastrophic! A giant comet was coming to destroy their world!

Alerting the general public to his find, Mano's evidence was backed up by thousands of scientists across the world who confirmed his terrible discovery. However despite the scientific community convinced of this world destroying threat, they were instead met with mockery by world leaders and the general public for their claims!

World leaders refusing to even conceive that their rule was in danger, wrote off Mano's claims as those of someone trying to damage their authority. And the general public hearing the mocking response of the worlds leaders, decided that they must be crazy conspiracy theories.

Mano with no other choice, realized it would be impossible to avert the catastrophe without the worlds leaders and that the planet was doomed. However not being a total imbicle, rather than shoving a newborn infant into a rocket ship, Mano worked with the scientific community to concieve a massive escape!

With the brilliance of science, the worlds greatest minds had created an atmospheric bubble and inventing powerful rockets which could break free of the Earths atmosphere and allowed guided travel across the stars. Gathering their families and those who believed them, Mano and the others...Hijacked the continent of Satphix and escaped their home planet mere minutes before the comet struck, destroying their world!

The survivors quite shaken by the event were now nomads in space and relying upon the resources of a continent known for its poisonous animals, boomerang guns and dry rocky atmosphere, they knew they must find a new world to settle on.

And thus Mano was put in charge by the survivors, and he began to lead them in search of a new world to park their continent.

Day 548: Luke Tyler
Foreman at the Galloping Y ranch, Luke Tyler dreamed of taking the ranch for himself, and had plans to marry the ranchers daughter Susan Smith, and take complete control of the place without her having a say.

Having cozied up to the ranch owner who was prepared to give him her daughters hand, Luke Tyler was already plotting how he would spend his new fortune when Susan Smith declared her love for Bill Cloud, shattering his ambitions! However refusing to surrender the coveted power he so craved, Luke Tyler swore to destroy their engagement!

So looking into Bill Cloud, he discovered that Bills father was Cal Cloud, a famous highwayman who would use a hand mirror to blind wagoneers and then shoot their guns away. Robbing them blind, he led a successful criminal career for years until he was brought to justice. Serving his time, he was released and eventually got a job reinacting his own crimes in a wild west show in which he showed off how he distracted people and shot the guns from their hands.

Thus Luke Tyler took the elder Smith to the wild west show to see Cal Cloud perform, remarking on how he was Bill Clouds father. And then disguising himself, he held up the wagon carrying Etta Candy, intending to pin the blame on Cal Cloud, ruining Billys chances with Susan!

Thus despite Susan Smith defending the clouds, her father forbid the marriage, declaring that Billy probably helped his father commit the crime. Susan Smith swore she would marry no one else even then and Luke Tyler enraged, went to hunt down and kill Bill Cloud in the hopes that this would be the end of it!

However as Luke Tyler snuck up on Bill Cloud with a shot gun, who should arrive but Wonder Woman! Effortlessly defending Bill Cloud from the shots meant for him, Diana lasso'd Luke Tyler and made him confess to his crimes, allowing Bill Cloud and Susan Smith to be wed at last.

Day 549: Oliver West

Executive head of City city Hospital, Oliver West is a non practicing doctor who oversees the operation of one of the cities largest hospitals, which also serves to train new doctors and nurses in the care and attention of patients.

Wonder Woman after rescuing a flooded town by picking up every house as it began to wash away down stream and tended to the residents, was greeted by members of the red cross who helped to provide relief and aid to those in need, something Wonder Woman could relate to.

Speaking with one of the nurses, Wonder Woman discovered that nursing had seen a sharp decline, and that they were having trouble finding people with an interest in assisting in the medical profession. Wonder Woman aware that she was a powerful symbol in her own right, thus declared that she would become a nurse as Wonder Woman so that those who followed her actions all the time would discover this and perhaps choose to become nurses as well.

Thus applying at City city hospital as a nurse, Wonder Woman underwent the training to get an American nursing license as Wonder Woman. However Oliver West was convinced that the whole matter was little more than a publicity stunt, meant to get attention and paint Wonder Woman as a philanthropist when she was simply trying to garner attention. Thus he put impossible tests in her way, expecting her to memorize the entire medical history of every patient, diagnose patients which even the greatest of his doctors could not treat, and keep the baby from crying for an entire night!

But naturally Wonder Woman not one to be stopped by such petty impossibilities rose to the task and memorizing every patient who she knew on a first name basis, she became a close friend to them all. She not only diagnosed but cured patients, and performing incredible feats of juggling and gymnastics, she had the baby ward wide eyed and silent with wonder.

However it wasn't until Wonder Woman stopped a gang of criminals trying to steal a rare medicine from the hopsital called 'Rarocin' that Oliver West realized that Wonder Woman sincerely wished to help everyone and thus Wonder Woman began serving as a nurse (On top of serving as a nurse as Diana Prince and a hundred other things across the two identities.)

Day 550: Professor Turgo
A criminal scientist who turned his scientific genius towards evil, Professor Turgo was a scientific genius in the field of magnetism and a man whose goal was...To conquer the world!

Having invented a device which would move the Earth into the sun via magnets, Professor Turgo attempted to hold the world hostage, gloating that the world would be destroyed unless its leaders bowed before him!
However while he was boasting, Wonder Woman tracked down the giant magnetic control towers he had constructed across the world and destroyed them, foiling his plot!

Tracking Professor Turgo down to his secret lair, Wonder Woman attempted to capture him only to be caught in Professor Turgos magnetic repulsion ray! Working essentially like a tractor beam, it would allow him to pull and repel something repeatedly in whatever direction he desired. In this case he used the machine to pull Wonder Woman forward and then slam her into a steel wall over and over, intending to smash her into a bloody pulp!

However when he pulled Wonder Woman forward to smash her yet again, Diana lasso'd the device just as he began to repel her, the force of which caused the machine to be crushed in the lasso's grip!

With Professor Turgos magnetic repulsion ray destroyed, the mad doctor escaped to an emergency rocket ship and took off into outer space just as his secret lair began to explode, distracting Wonder Woman long enough for Turgo to break out of Earthss atmosphere.

Heading deep into space, Turgo planned to land on the moon and plot some means of magnetizing it to crash into the planet out of revenge! However on the way, he was shocked to discover a continent in Earths orbit. Landing on it, Turgo was greeted by Mano, chief elder of Satphix who presumed Turgo was a Representative of Earth, and they explained their plight and search of a new world.

Turgo playing along and convincing them that he had good intentions, he explained that before they could settle on the Earth, they would need to give him their defensive weaponry so he could ensure they would do the Earth no harm.

The well intentioned people of Satphix simply wanting a place to live, gladly gave Turgo what he asked, and the evil professor used their own technology to kidnap their children and chain them to the outer walls of their armory, with guns targeting the innocents to kill them should anyone try to stop him!

Mano and his people helpless, they could only watch as Turgo moved the continent to eclipse the sun. An act which was noticed by astronomers around the world such as Professor Larey who contacted Wonder Woman to alert her of this fact.

When Wonder Woman went to investigate this in the invisible plane, she discovered a swarm of missiles aimed at every major world city! Standing atop the invisible plane, Wonder Woman lasso'd each and every one of those missiles and send them hurtling into one another into space, causing a series of harmless explosions which harmed no one.

Realizing the missiles came from the mysterious object blocking the sun, Wonder Woman flew to the continent and upon landing, was greeted with hostility by Mano and his people who assumed she was with the villainous Professor Turgo.

Wonder Woman convincing them that she came in peace, got Mano to explain the situation and Wonder Woman getting an idea, approached the bunker with her hands raised, offering to surrender herself if he would let the innocents go.


In response, Professor Turgo declared that she would stand in place and make no move to escape lest he kill the hostages, and began firing upon her with the laser canons Mano and the others invented to combat asteroids and meteors!

Wonder Woman deflected every blast with her bracelets, carefully aiming so that each laser deflected to strike and destroy the restraints holding the hostages, who were greeted by the ladder of the invisible plane which Wonder Woman was telepathically controlling.

Once all of the prisoners were safely flown away, A grinning Wonder Woman leaped at the fortress, tore through the steel walls like tin foil, and lasso'd Professor Turgo, ending his reign of terror!

With Turgo defeated, Wonder Woman greeted Mano as Earths ambassador, and hearing his plight, she gave him permission to park his continent in the Atlantic ocean, not far from Paradise Island. Thus making it the second new continent on Earth.

Day 551: Joan Lane & Inez Lane
Newly appointed secretary for Diana Prince at army intelligence, Joan Lane just so happened to look exactly like Diana. However on her first day of work, Joan Lane in confidence, revealed to Diana Prince that she is secretly...Wonder Woman!

The declaration left Diana quite surprised and deadpan she stated that was impossible. Though she didn't go into detail that the reason it was impossible for Joan Lane to be Wonder Woman was because SHE was Wonder Woman.

Joan declaring she would prove it, stepped out of the room and appeared an instant later dressed as Wonder Woman and while Diana gaped, Joan leaped out of the window and before Diana could make it to the window, Joan had vanished!

Diana quite baffled by this, changed into Wonder Woman and began combing the city for Joan, and discover the truth behind this new Wonder Woman.

In truth, Joan Lane who looked identical to Diana had a twin sister named Inez Lane, and the two of them were professional circus performers who were capable of incredible acrobatic feats.

The two were hired to get a job as Diana Princes's secretary, and to pretend to be Wonder Woman. Thus one would go in as Joan Lane, and the other, Inez would be dressed as Wonder Woman. With the two relying on their identical appearance to seemingly change in an instant and move at great distances.

Thus when Inez had leaped out of the window, she had climbed up onto the roof and vanished under a tarp cunningly disguised as part of the roof.

And thus the twins confounding Wonder Woman, would appear around town, escaping Wonder Womans notice, and foil crimes, escaping before Wonder Woman could arrive, leaving Diana baffled.

Day 552: Professor Jenkel
Genius criminal for hire, Professor Jenkel is a contract killer who for the right price, will use his brilliant mind for a criminal cause. Hired to the sum of $300,000 to kill Wonder Woman, Professor Jenkel devised a plot to lure Wonder Woman out of hiding so he may end her once and for all!

Canvasing the entertainment world for someone with the right combination of athleticism and appearance for his plans, Professor Jenkel stumbled across Joan Lane and Inez Lane, identical twins who looked identical to Wonder Woman.

Unaware that Wonder Woman possessed a secret identity but knowing that she tended to be seen with Steve Trevor all the time, Professor Jenkel convinced the two circus acrobats that this was all part of a big practical joke, and convinced them to get the job of secretary for Diana Prince at Army Intelligence and begin pretending to be Wonder Woman in an effort to lure out the true hero.

Days later after Wonder Woman was clearly intent on catching the pair, Professor Jenkel fabricated a criminal gang known as 'the autogyro gang' who committed crimes in helicopters, and arranged for Inez Lane to meet it at Nemo park as the false gang flew down in an attempt to steal an armored car.

When Wonder Woman arrived to stop the crime and caught sight of Inez Lane in a Wonder Woman costume, the Amazon was distracted enough that she did not notice Porfessor Jenkel and his men within the armored carflooding the park with sleeping gas to render the lot of them unconcious.

Stuffing Inez, and a bound Wonder Woman into a van, they drove off to Jenkels secret hideout where with Wonder Woman bound by her own lasso, Professor Jenkel gloated that he would destroy Wonder Woman. With his henchmen snapping photos to immortalize his shooting of Wonder Woman as proof he did the deed, Professor Jenkel was about to gun Wonder Woman down...When Inez Lane waking from the gas, saw Jenkel about to kill Wonder Woman!

Leaping at Jenkel and slugging him, Inez pinned down the professor and soon ending up in a large pile as the henchmen attempted to rescue their screaming boss, creating enough of a commotion that Wonder Woman awoke, got out of the lasso, and proceeded to capture the criminals, sending them to jail.

As for the Lane sisters, Wonder Woman impressed with Inez's bravery, made a point of publicly acknowledging their talent, with the twins now making a living doing 'Wonder Woman shows' with great acclaim.

Day 553: Mily Ames & Bill Towney

Junior members of 'the Justice Society of America' a team of small time heroes who banded together to serve as Wonder Womans sidekicks. Mary and Bill getting the chance to spend time with their favorite hero, were being taken on a tour of Washington DC by Wonder Woman via the invisible plane to the capital city.

However upon nearing the capital, the invisible plane smacked into an impenetrable force field! Shaped like a funnel going straight up into space, no one could enter or leave the capital, with cars crashed into it on both sides, people banging against the barrier to no avail, and even tanks on the outside trying and failing to destroy it with a bombardment of tank shells.

Wonder Woman determined to get into the city, dug deep beneath the earth to find that a hundred feet down the bubble encircled from beneath the earth. Thus with no other avenue available, Wonder Woman flew into space, following the funnel to find its source.

Finding it became a tunnel past the Earths atmosphere, she followed to the planet Mars where she discovered that Mars ruler the Duke of Deception had his minions create the 'Electron X Switchboard' which served to create and power constructs made from loose electrons.

As Wonder Woman entered Mars atmosphere however, she discovered an invasion fleet headed for Earth through the funnel, which would destroy the united states capital with none capable of stopping them!

Wonder Woman served to distract the Duke of Deception and the martians while young Mary and Bill snuck over to the Electron X Switch Board and shut it off. The deactivation of the device so startled the Martians that they gave Wonder Woman the opportunity to leap over them, grab the children under one arm, hoist the machine over another arm, and ran for the invisible plane, taking off in pursuit of the martian invaders!

Just as the Martian bomber ships were about to destroy the nations capital, Wonder Woman arrived and standing atop the invisible plane, she lasso'd the spaceships, catching them all within her lasso and towed them off, dragging them back to Mars and dumping them on the Duke of Deceptions palace.

And so it was that Wonder Woman gave her fans Bill and Mary the tour of Washington DC she had promised them.

554: Margaret Lester
Museum curator, Margaret Lester is a woman with a fascination with history and a keen eye for the valuable. One day, Margaret chanced upon an unusual find. A totem pole which by its design was created by famous historical Native American scientist and totem pole sculptor Ah-Wa-Ne. A totem pole with Wonder Woman on it.

Using museum finances, Margaret Lester purchased the totem pole and upon announcing the 200 year old Wonder Woman totem pole was to be featured, she was met with heaps of skepticism from people who pointed out that Wonder Woman has not been around for 200 years.

Mr. Benton, the museum head hated Margaret Lester and declared women had no place working. Ever since he was appointed museum head he had been desperately trying to boot Ms Lester from the museum and convinced the totem pole was a fake, he declared that as a woman, Margaret was incapable of making rational decisions and demanded a vote from the board of directors to see Margaret booted from the museum!

However before the vote could be called, who should arrive but Wonder Woman! Having heard about the totem pole and wanting to see it herself, Wonder Woman was directed to the piece of Native American art which examining, Wonder Woman declared it was indeed a genuine Ah-Wa-Ne. The art style being quite distinct. She also pointed out how the wood was obviously aged 200 years, and that there wass no possible way this could be a fake.

Mr. Benton incredulous, declared that it was impossible for Wonder Woman to be on a totem pole to which Margaret declared that while she is mystified why Wonder Woman is on the totem pole, she knows an Ah-Wa-Ne when she sees one.

Thus Wonder Woman determined to prove Margaret Lester right and get to the bottom of this, scoops up the pair, carries them off in her invisible plane, and stops by Paula Von Gunthers lab to borrow her time machine and head back to the year 1775 to meet Ah-Wa-Ne and discover the truth behind the mysterious Wonder Woman totem pole.

Day 555: Artik

Mole man from a kingdom beneath the Artic ocean, Artik is the leader of a people who he explains were once a part of the great continent of Atlantis. In the great disaster which sent the continent sinking beneath the waves, chunks of the continent broke off and floating above the water by the force of the heat from the lava, it was carried north until it wound up in the artic ocean where ice quickly formed over it, making the remnant of Atlantis into a subteranean landmass. Its people evolved into mole men.

As an aside, the revelation that these mole men are descended from Atlantis would presumably mean that King Blakfu of the mole people similarly descends from Atlanteans.

Having evolved to survive underground for warmth and in a region where for much of the year there is nothing but darkness, the Artic Mole Men traveled only at night and evolved to burrow through solid ice without effort.

Having evolved to live in a nocturnal atmosphere, they can handle dim light from the stars and the borealis or the luminescent mushrooms they grow for a light source, but the sun is their mortal bane.

Having adapted to survive in such harsh climate, the Artic Mole men domesticated the noble polar bear and use it for transportation when they leave their homeland on long nights to forage whenever necessary. They developed paralysis guns to paralyze animals, allowing them to capture and domesticate arctic wildlife as livestock. And developed a means of harnessing natural thermal energy to power their machines and to provide heat that allowed them to survive.

Living a peaceful and secluded life, the Artic Mole Men were a happy and content people under Artik's command, the people ruled by a council of representatives which Artik was the chairman of. However one day the second most powerful nation in the world, that evil nation of Warlandia with its iron curtains and nuclear weaponry which it sought to use in order to destroy the American way of life were plotting to carpet bomb the united states with nukes, and began testing their bombers...In the artic.

Several Artic Mole Men lost their lives to the test, and outraged, the Artic Mole Men began assembling automated gun turrets to shoot out of the sky anything that approached their home!

Unfortunatly shortly after which, Steve Trevor was flying a group of scientists to the artic so they may set up a radar station to detective the approach of Warlandian bombers in case they tried attacking from the north. Nearing the point which had been selected (which happened to be right on top of the buried continent) Steve began to land, only to be shot out of the sky.

Miraculously Steve and the others survived, but soon captured by the Artic Mole Men, they were at Artik's orders, placed in cryogenic suspension, the fate of all criminals in their nation.

Wonder Woman upon hearing that Steve is missing, goes off in search of him and seeing the crashed plane, she leaps out of the invisible jet to investigate...And is attacked by automated gun turrets! Deflecting their guns, Wonder Woman lasso'd them and pulled them out of the ground, destroying them.

Confronted by Artik and his men, Wonder Woman and he talked, until Artik understood that Wonder Woman and the others were not with the bombers. But shortly after Artik explained their situation, Warlandia began their assault with hundreds of bombers which began dropping an unrealistic number of bombs with which they intended to carpet bomb the entire continent!

Wonder Woman acting fast, saw a sheet of ice and carving it out with her bare hands, she polished it, and held it up at the planes just as the sun began to rise, blinding the pilots who in their panic, crashed their planes into the snow to be captured by the Artic Mole Men.

And thus so it was that Steve and his fellows were freed, and Wonder Woman brokered a deal between Artik and the United States to support eachother in an effort to stand strong against Warlandia.

Day 556: Ah-Wa-Ne
Native American scientist and wood carver of the Algonquin tribe from the year 1775, Ah-Wa-Ne is a professional totem pole craftsman who has perfected the art down to a science, allowing him to create totem poles which project lightning at anyone who comes near. Totem poles which smash down on people and right themselves. Totem poles which launch into the air and tracking specific individuals, flying at them like a guided missile. All with the power of SCIENCE!

Wonder Woman with Ms. Lester and Mr. Benton had traveled back in time to discover the origin of a Wonder Woman totem pole which was obviously made by Ah-Wa-Ne due to its unique handling composition but otherwise defied explanation since Wonder Woman had not left Paradise Island until the 1900's.

Arriving in the middle of a stampeding herd of buffalo who were frightened by the thunder from a raging thunderstorm, The two museum types began to scream in terror, only for Wonder Woman to almost absent mindedly push aside any buffalo as it came towards them, waiting patiently for the buffalo to finish charging.

Once the stampede had subsided, Wonder Woman explained that historical records stated that Ah-Wa-Ne who was of the Algonquin people, lived in a village nestled beneath a great waterfall nearby and sure enough as they searched, they found the village, however the village was having trouble because as farmers, their crops were withering and dying out, with the village doomed to starve in the coming winter.

Wonder Woman knowing that she must help them, studied the earth and noticed with her keen perceptive mind that there was geyser activity in the area. So smacking the ground a few times with her foot, she found the perfect pot in the middle of the fields and dug up a water geyser which she explained was full of mineral water which would feed the crops. Digging up an irrigation ditch, she ensured that their crops would soon grow, saving the village from disaster.

The Native Americans were so grateful that they explained to Wonder Woman that Ah-Wa-Ne actually lived at the top of nearby Eagle Rock mountain. So Wonder Woman began to climb the mountain when along the way, she encountered a war party from the Ojibway tribe, who were intending to kidnap Ah-Wa-Ne to help them in their wars.

Wonder Woman naturally being opposed to war, lasso'd the entire group, and using the magic lasso's power to command others to do things, she commanded the Ojibway people to go home and live peaceful lives. And thus under the power of the magic lasso they were so commanded and go home they did, never to wage war upon anyone ever again.

Upon arriving at the top of the mountain they were greeted by a vast forest of totem poles. Hundreds upon hundreds of totem poles. Wonder Woman carrying Benton and Lester, made her way through a death trap of various security totem poles which threatened to end her life but against all odds, she made it to the center of the totem poles to discover a man working on a totem pole.

Greeting them, he introduced himself as Ah-Wa-Ne and revealed that he had been using a special totem pole to monitor the area, and had been following Wonder Womans exploits since she had arrived in the area. Amazed by all the things she had done from surviving a stampede, to savine a villiage, to fending off a group of warriors, to bypassing his totem pole field, Ah-Wa-Ne exclaimed that he was going to make a totem pole in her honor!

Wonder Woman moved by this, thanked Ah-Wa-Ne for his kindness, and thus having settled the question of how he came to make a totem pole of Wonder Woman, the three of them returned to the present, with Margaret Lester getting a raise for her keen eye.

Day 557: Captain Storm
Ruthless and villainous pirate who plundered the east coast, Captain Storm was a savage criminal who acquiring a vast fortune in gold, decided to stash it all in one piece on an uninhabited stretch of land miles inland, where none would think to search for his treasure.

Taking a group of his men, he journeyed on foot for miles until he was well out of sight of the sea. And then having his men bury the treasure, Captain Storm had them row him back to the ship and upon arriving...He shot them all dead, making him the only one with the secret.

On his way to pillage yet again, Captain Storm was soon attacked by the British navy who would sink his ship, leaving Captain Storm the last survivor of his crew. Dragged off to Brittan, Captain Storm was given a view of the ocean from a tower the day before his execution and as his last act, he drew a map to his treasure, shoved it into a bottle, and tossed it into the ocean where it would float for hundreds of years until someone found it.

Meanwhile back in the present day, Wonder Woman was visiting Etta Candy at the Holliday college when she made a shocking discovery. For as Etta explained, the college was going bankrupt! If they did not raise $200,000,n the Holliday college would be forced to shut down!

Wonder Woman declaring that education is the weapon against tyranny, swore to save the college and thus she began to ponder a solution, until she recalled reading a recent story about how historians had deduced the pirate ship of Captain Storm must lay somewhere in the nearby ocean.

Thus Wonder Woman running to the sea, leaped in, and swam to the ocean bottom, canvasing it until she had stumbled across the old pirate ship.

Carrying it onto shore, Wonder Woman restored it so it would serve as a functional vessel, and began sewing period accurate pirate outfits! Calling the Holliday girls, Wonder Woman convinced Etta and the girls who all being well versed in pirate history, to serve as historical reenactors, and with a little booth set up before a gang plank, the Holliday girls began charging admission to tour a genuine pirate ship complete with a historical reenactment.

Unaware that the treasure of Captain Storm just happened to be beneath the Holliday college...

Day 558: Shara
Citizen of Bellara island, home of beasts. Shara was one of the many citizens of the island who were in mourning when tragedy struck and their queen died in a hunting accident.

The king grieving, retreated from the public eye, and left his minister Zago in charge of things while he was gone. And Zago as required by Bellara law, needed to find a new wife for the king, least his family be forced to abdicate, and the royal prince Davo be left homeless.

Thus all the unmarried women of the island were legally required to participate in the 'marriage trials' a trio of trials which would determine the next queen of the island. Including poor Shara who had no interest, as she had sworn her heart to her dear love Zago.

Usually the king would arrange for the challenges, however since he was in mourning, it was left to the Minister to invent the tree trials to determine the one most suitable, and using a lottery system, Shara was chosen first, with her sister Lera to be the second, and so on.

Meanwhile Wonder Woman was flying home to Paradise Island when along the way she spied a pair of soldiers tossing a woman over a cliff to her doom!
Flying the invisible plane down, she caught the woman in her arms, and thus Diana was introduced to Shara.

Shara then proceeded to explain the entire situation to Wonder Woman and how anyone who failed the trial was being thrown off of this very specific cliff to their doom. As Shara was explaining however, her sister Lera fell from the cliff end landed on the invisible plane ten feet below!

Wonder Woman knowing this was a problem that needed dealing with, told the pair to wait there and left her invisible plane parked just under the cliff to catch anyone else as she went to put an end to this whole 'throwing women to their doom' nonsense.

Day 559: Benny Barnacle
Leader of the Barnacle gang, Benny Barnacle is a ruthless individual who having a taste for piracy, put together a group of similarly villainous individuals and began robbing people at sea!

Outfitting a speedboat with blades in the front to cut in half any ship they rammed, the lot of them dressed as pirates and upon cutting a vessel in half, they would gun down the people struggling to remain above water, and fish out their valuables with nets.

One day the group was hiding their ship on the coast when one of Bennys goons found a bottle and opening it, they discovered the treasure map of Captain Storm, a pirate from hundreds of years ago.

Benny grabbing the map, declared that they would take it for themselves and thus following the map, they discovered the treasure was just in front of the fountain in the center of the Holliday college.

So dressing up as a construction crew, they came in, dug a hole and began hauling chest after chest of loot into their repair truck in broad day light, much to the notice of all. When one of the Holliday girls pointed it out, Benny and his men began firing wildly at the crowd who all escaped unharmed, with the police called to aprehend them.

Benny and the Barnacle gang drove off with the police in persuit, only to discover police had found their speed boat while canvassing the coast!
Panicked, for they had counted on escaping to sea, the pirate gang sailed down the coast looking for a ship to steal when they came across the restored vessel of Captain Storm being crewed by the Holliday college historical reinactors club lead by Etta Candy.

The group armed, storm the ship and attempt to take the Holliday girls hostage and claim the ship for themselves to escape on, only to be clobbered by the Holliday girls!
By the time the police had arrived, Etta had Benny Barnacle blind folded with his arms tied behind his back, walking the plank with a fake sword poking him in the back to the sandy beach ten feet below, much to the bemusement of a gathering crowd of onlookers.

Day 560: Minister Zago

Most trusted minister of King Tara and Queen Yilla, Minister Zago is the one who essentially runs Bellara Island in their name. The guards answer to him, the laws are carried out by him. And he is essentially the entire government outside of the king and queen.

However Zago wanted to rule the kingdom in its entirety. Not content with the luxurious cabana, or the servants at his beck and call, Zago wanted the absolute power that came of being the ruler.

Thus pouring over the hundreds of years worth of Bellara island law and tradition, Zago stumbled across an obscure law! In the event that the queen should die, the king had one month to select a new wife lest the royal family be exiled, with the minister being appointed to the role of King evermore!

Thanks to this curiously specific law, Zago had a scheme in motion to kill the queen and thus spreading a rumor that there had been a sighting of a new creature on Bellara island known as a haggis. Intrigued, queen Yilla went off in search, and while nearing a large chasm, Zago shot her horse with a blow dart, unhorsing her and sending the queen hurtling into the seemingly bottomless pit to her death.

With the queen dead, Zago pretending to be an ally to the king, tried convincing him to remarry, but king Tara stricken with grief and unable to even consider it, was driven more and more into seclusion with Zago's prodding until at last the king declared he was leaving for the royal mountain retreat.

Zago being placed in charge of prince Davo, was left with the duty of putting viable queens through three trials to test their queenlyhood. And Zago made every effort to create three of the most unrealistically impossible challenges that any mortal dare devise.

And thus Zago in the name of helping the king, was secretly sabotaging the royal family in the hopes of claiming the crown for himself. And using the trials as a guise to murder every marryable woman on the island so that the king would be unable to choose a bride.

However no matter what kind of impossible trial Zago may devise, Wonder Woman was not going to let him sacrifice innocents in order to succeed in his evil goals!

Day 562: Thomas Leet
Criminal nare do well and model plane ethusist, Thomas Leet is a criminal who like many others, sought to defeat Wonder Woman in the hopes of ruling the criminal underworld. Thus studying Wonder Woman, Thomas Leet came to the conclusion that the true secret to Wonder Womans success is the invisible plane!

For it is thanks to the invisible plane that Wonder Woman is able to travel to any problem in an instant. It is thanks to the invisible plane that Wonder Woman can catch criminals from the skies. It is thanks to the invisible planes mental control unit that Wonder Woman is able to do two things at the same time such as when she had her invisible plane extend a net to catch one criminal while leaping after another criminal who was promptly lasso'd.

Thomas Leet seeing the invisible plane as an invaluable weapon in Wonder Womans arsenal sought it for himself, convinced that if he obtained it, he would be be able to defeat even Wonder Woman!

Thus Thomas Leet put together a clever idea and renting out a building, he got his gansters fancy suits and founded the 'Amateur Aviation model plane club'. Introducing himself to Wonder Woman as the clubs president, he asked Wonder Woman to attend one of their meetings and to bring with her the invisible plane.

Wonder Woman not seeing the harm, soon enough did exactly that, and took questions from the gangsters posing as aviation enthusiasts. She explained how the Amazons have many planes like her own, though hers is unique in that it has a special radio transceiver that was connected to an electronic brain, allowing her to command the invisible plane through telepathic command.

Asking her to give a demonstration, Wonder Woman proceeded to give the plane a series of telepathic commands which it followed, unaware that Thomas Leet had every possible form of detection device trained on Wonder Woman in order to figure out the signal which Wonder Woman sent her psychic signals on.

Finding that very frequency, they recorded Wonder Womans mental commands and used a copy of those very same orders to eventually take control of the plane itself!

With the invisible plane at Thomas Leets disposal, he was able to circle the world within a minute. Venture into outer space. And steal whatever he wished, escaping long before law enforcment were even notified.

Wonder Woman discovering this, tried to call her plane, only to find that the tranciever had been tampered with, as Thomas Leet had limited its range so it would only comply to commands within the plane itself.

Thus began a great chase across the world to catch the invisible plane, an effort which would have proven impossible had Thomas Leet upon seeing Wonder Woman, not decided to turn the plane around so she could shoot at her.

Deflecting the bullets, Wonder Woman lasso'd the invisible plane and climbed aboard while deflecting bullets and destroying Thomas Leets device, she regained control of the invisible plane and dropped the gang off at jail. Ending Thomas Leet's crime spree.

Day 562: King Tara


Ruler of Bellara island, an island kingdom which happened to thanks to its unusual geography, play host to every animal in the world. A nation bound by its traditions and laws, King Tara ruled alongside his wife Queen Yilla and worked with her to raise their son prince Davo.

When Yilla died in a hunting accident secretly orchestrated by Minister Zago, King Tara retreated from public sight, leaving Zago to raise his son while he was in morning. Leaving Zago free to while following the tradition of holding the trials to decide the next queen, make them feats so impossible that no woman could possibly succeed in them, allowing him to murder all marriable women on the island so that the king would be forced to step down.

Wonder Woman not quite thinking things through declared she would undergo those trials to ensure no women would die at Zago's hands and as the minister was less concerned about following a particular order and more concerned with killing all the single women, he went along with it.

First was the trial which sent every woman thus far to be thrown off a cliff for their failure. Sitting a ring onto the horn of a unicorns horn without touching it. A difficult feat indeed for the first three women were nearly gored by the savage beast.

But when the unicorn was met by Wonder Woman, it had a reaction unlike no other.
Its eyes turned dark, its expression murderous as every vein on its head looked like it would explode. Its teeth gnashing in rage, the unicorn gazed upon Wonder Woman and was filled with an utter hatred and loathing for Wonder Woman that it had never felt in any other being before that moment!

Neighing in rage, the unicorn attempted everything in its power to kill Wonder Woman with its horn, determined to end her life on the spot. However Wonder Woman effortlessly able to leap a hundred feet into the air, remained easily out of reach. And so looping the ring through her lasso, Wonder Woman cast it, the tip of her lasso connecting with the unicorns horn which slid down, the task completed.

Escaping the unicorn, Wonder Woman declared to Zago that she completed his task and furious, Zago handed Wonder Woman a needle, pointed to a camel, and challenged her to threat the camel through the needles eye.

In response, Wonder Woman rubbed her bracelets against the needle making it super hot, dug iron up from the ground beneath her and began feeding iron to the molten metal until she had made the eye of the needle large enough for a camel to walk through!

With two of his trials overcome, Zago then led Wonder Woman into the city and showed her a stadium with 99 doors. 98 of which contained a savage predator native to the island which would tear Wonder Woman limb from limb.

Wonder Woman looking at all ninety nine doors, noticed that one of them lacked fingerprints on the door knob and deduced this meant that nobody put an animal in it and walking over to it, she opened the door, completing the challenge.

Furious, Zago then pulled a lever, opening all the doors, causing all manner of rhinos, hippos, lions, tigers, bears, gorillas, and giraffe to charge out of the many doors, intent on murdering Wonder Woman!

Naturally Wonder Woman lasso'd the lot of them, ceasing their violence. Zago enraged, picked up a sword and charged at Wonder Woman, screaming! Wonder Woman deflecting the sword with her bracelet, lasso'd Zago with the opposite end of the lasso and got him to confess to the murder of Queen Yilla.

It was then that King Tara arrived and having Zago thrown in the royal jail, he thanked Wonder Woman for apprehending Zago and uncovering his murder of her wife and...He got down on one knee, proposing to Wonder Woman. For having completed the trials, Wonder Woman was eligible to be his bride.

Horrified, Wonder Woman realized that she did not think things through and without any sense of certainty she shouted for him to wait and ran from the city as fast as she could! Recalling that the queen had died in a ravine, Wonder Woman was relying on the tiny possibility that somehow Queen Yilla might have survived, thus getting Wonder Woman out of that mess!

Spotting the bottomless pit, Wonder Woman lasso'd a tree and climbing down tens of miles, she discovered an injured Queen Yilla at the very bottom, alive but injured and trapped, having gone weeks without food. Wonder Woman scooping Yilla up, carried her back to the capital and with Yilla on the road to recovery, Wonder Woman was proclaimed a hero, with a parade thrown in her honor!

And Wonder Woman thankfully getting out of marrying King Tara.

Day 563: Moon 'O' Day
Leprechaun from Shamrock Land, Moon 'O' Day is a rare leprechaun among his community for he desires...An education! Filled with wonder at how far humanity is coming with its mastery of science and technology, Moon 'O' Day wished to aquire that knowledge for himself to bring back to Shamrock land!

And thus hearing about a scholarship being offered to the student who could turn in the highest test scores, Moon 'O' Day studied and used his magic to submit the form anonymously.

At this point, Dean Merrily was leaving on an island cruise to India and would be gone for a month, leaving Wonder Woman in charge of running Holliday college. And thus it was left to Wonder Woman to pick the winner who wound up being Moon 'O' Day who only left a postage number.

Calling for Moon to attend the school via a radio broadcast, Wonder Woman and the others were shocked to see the leprechaun arrive carrying a cake box. This caused a minor uproar as Holliday college was an all girls school, but as Wonder Woman was bound by her word, she had no choice but to admit Moon to the school. Thus building a seperate dorm for the sole male student, Moon 'O' Day began attending Holliday college, never letting the cake box out of his sight as he attended every class with it and refused to let anyone touch it.

However even though Moon was an avid student, he was also a notorious prankster. Who used his magical powers to play practical jokes on his fellow students!
Causing the drinking fountain to produce frogs instead of water.
Making inkwells erupt like geysers when opened.
Deliberately leaves a copy of his box lying on his desk so that anyone who tries to sneak a peak would be met with a fifty foot tall fake monster head which would pop out of the box.

The teachers were quite annoyed with Moon 'O' Day who they saw as a disruptive influence. However they could not fault him for being a poor student as he had the second highest scores in the school.

So the teachers confronted him en masse and attempted to barrage him with difficult questions in order to claim he was not capable enough regardless. However much to their surprise, Moon 'O' Day answered every single question without trouble.

In turn, Moon asked the group of professors

"How many tears does a person have?"

"How does a frog say good morning?"

and "Where does a rainbow lead?"

Boasting that any child in Shamrock land knew the answers to these questions, Moon 'O' Day skipped away, leaving the professors befuddled and without an answer.

And thus Moon 'O' Day continued as a student at Holliday college, never letting that cake box out of his sight.

Day 564: Cinderella
Hailing from one of the many 'planets of thought' Cinderella is a minor noble turned maid turned queen of the Charming kingdom through a series of events involving a ball, a fairy godmother, and a glass slipper.

Cinderella enters the story when one day Wonder Woman is flying to Paradise Island only to discover a flying saucer heading for the island, having caught fire from entering earths atmosphere. Wonder Woman lassoing it, was pulled along by the giant dinner plate which shrinking as it burnt up in entry, crashed onto the island the size of your standard tabletop saucer.

Hippolyta arrived and cleaning up the saucer to examine it, the two of them discovered a message. "Help. The Sorcerer Strogo has invaded the kingdom. -Cinderella" With coordinates for an astral route on the opposite side of the plate.

Wonder Woman and Hippolyta both baffled as they had thought Cinderella to be a fairy tale, pondered this, and Wonder Woman decided to follow the directions and taking the invisible plane, she headed off into space, following the astral route.

Sighting a planet, Wonder Woman headed for it, only to be chased by a comet which was following after her. Outflying it, Wonder Woman head down and sighting an army of dragons, she lured them away with her invisible plane and leaped down upon the ramparts of castle Charming where she was met by Cinderella.

Sighting Wonder Woman, Cinderella is shocked, and declared that Wonder Woman was but a fairy tale, a fictional character and voiced bafflement at meeting the legendary hero.

It is discovered and explained that Cinderella lives on a planet of thought, and that the adventures which take place on this mystical world echo throughout the cosmos on 'thought beams' their lives echoing across the cosmos in the form of stories which become an ingrained piece of cultures throughout space.

And these thought beams worked in reverse, for every story and fable on the planet of thought are in fact events which have played out elsewhere in the cosmos.

Cinderella relieved that Wonder Woman was there to help her, declared that their kingdom was certain to be rescued since it was Wonder Woman who found the saucer which was enchanted to seek out a hero to save them.

Day 565: Nox Nolan
Nefarious criminal, Nox Nolan is a greedy criminal who hearing about the leprechaun attending Holliday college, saw dollar signs. Hearing about the cake box the leprechaun carried on his person at all times, Nox knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that it must contain Moon 'O' Days pot of gold which all leprechauns are supposed to have!

So sneaking onto the Holliday college grounds and spying on the leprechaun with a spy glass, Nox Nolan waited for the chance to steal away the leprechauns precious box which Nox was certain contained valuable treasure.

That opportunity would come one day when Moon 'O' Day invited to a baseball game by Etta Candy, proceeds to begin cheating, using his magical powers to make the ball fly around like a hummingbird, travel at the speed of light, turn his bat into a redwood, and create a hundred copies of himself to catch any balls that went flying into the outfield.

Wonder Woman not about to let let Moon get away with cheating declared she would participate on the opposing team. Upon hitting the ball he would use his magic to turn it into a hundred balls as he began running around the field, only for Wonder Woman to catch each and every single one.

When throwing, he used his magic to turn the ball into a comet which would shatter any bat, and Wonder Woman simply wove the magic lasso around the bat, making it unbreakable.
Thus on the mound one final time, Moon 'O' Day throws the ball with an impossible force so great that it overturned gravity, but in the process was sent flying off into space!

Crying out for help, Moon 'O' Day apologized for cheating and causing pranks, and swore to behave himself in school if someone rescued him, and sure enough he was lasso'd and pulled back to solid ground by Wonder Woman...Who Moon 'O' Day tagged with the ball, declaring he won...Only to find out that Wonder Woman had run around all four bases before lassoing him, making her the winner.

It was then that the alarm Moon 'O' Day had set off in his dorm room had begun going off for Nox Nolan picking the locks, had broken in and was making a run for it with the cake box!

Wonder Woman running past the screaming Moon 'O' Day, lasso'd Nox Nolan, capturing him just as the fiend opened the cake box to reveal it contained...A graduation cap.

With the criminal captured and the box retrieved, Wonder Woman turned Nox over to the authorities and would later ask Moon 'O' Day why he kept a graduation cap with him at all times.

To which, Moon 'O' Day explained how he had used his pot of gold to buy text books to study from, so that he was able to earn the scholarship, and become such a brilliant student at Holliday college. For knowledge is the greatest treasure, and he keepss that graduation cap with him for he swore to wear it upon graduating, as a symbol of the true treasure he had obtained.

Day 566: Lora
Amazon of Paradise Island, Lora is an Amazonian physician who tended to and saw to the health of her fellow Amazons. Tending to the injured and the ill, Lora always did what she could to help others be it Amazon or animal. And with Princess Diana's invention of the Purple Ray, this made Lora's work much easier since it allowed one to heal any injury.

However Lora's work soon became a great deal more difficult when Paradise Island came under attack!
Out of nowhere, heavy artillery bombardments began raining down upon the island, blanketing the surface of the isle with harsh destructive blasts which destroyed many a structure and much of the islands environment.

Thanks to the incredible abilities possessed by all Amazons, nobody was killed in these explosions, however scores of Amazons were in critical condition.
With Queen Hippolyta ordering the creation of bomb shelters, the Amazons, their greatest treasures, and all flora and fauna of the island were evacuated beneath the islands surface were even the heavy explosive artillery would not penetrate

However even with a safe place to do her work, Lora was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of injuries currently facing an island which rarely saw more than one wounded Amazon per year.

Thus Lora examining Wonder Womans purple ray, began working upon the brilliant invention and striving to improve upon it, Lora was able to increase the range, so that it could heal every injury within a large room, leading to Lora treating Amazons in large groups in order to save them all.

No Amazon would fall to this mysterious bombardment which even the vision sphere could not pinpoint the origin of.

Day 567: Jan Williams
Daughter of the 'flying family' Mary and John Williams, those famed idols of the skies who spend more time in the air than they do on the ground. Having flown to all seven continents, crossed every ocean, and charted flight path across the planet, they were noted individuals amongst the aviation community.

However tragedy struck when a freak engine failure had the plane dead in the air. The plane beginning to crash, Jan and her mother Mary put on life belts however Johns in a stroke of bad luck had broken his life belt and when the plane crashed in the water, breaking apart in the crash, he was lost.

Mary frantic to find her husband placed Jan on the floating wing of the plane and told Jan to be safe as she dove down in search of John, not coming back up.

Days would pass with poor Jan laying upon that wing and lost in the middle of the ocean. Sharks circling her makeshift raft, poor Jan Williamse seemed doomed...Until who should come along but Wonder Woman!

Spying the poor girl, Wonder Woman lasso'd the wing of the plane and hauled up into her invisible aircraft, rescuing the wee girl from the school of sharks.
Taking her back to her home country of the united states, Wonder Woman met with law officials only to discover that Jan had no other family aside from her parents, leaving the poor girl an orphan.

With the orphanage the only possible destination for poor Jan and the girl sobbing and hugging Wonder Woman, begging to stay with her, Wonder Woman made the decision to adopt Jan.

Wonder Woman was hesitant about her decision, a between being a superhero who constantly travels across time and space, a writer at a newspaper, a mayor of a town, a nurse, an army intelligence operative, chairman of a parole board, the ambassador for Earth with Saturn, a movie star, a member of the Holliday college faculty, a princess of the Amazons, and a host of other ongoing occupations... Wonder Woman was worried she would not have the time to be a good mother.

But Wonder Woman unable to turn away from someone in need declared she would adopt Jan Williams who would live with her at the apartment she shared with her room mate Diana Prince who also became a mother to the young girl.

And though Wonder Woman did indeed face many trials in finding the time to raise poor Jan Williams as curiously enough, both Wonder Woman and Diana Prince seemed to keep similar hours, she did do what she could to impart on Jan Williams Amazonian value. And thus mentored Jan in Amazonian healthy living, Academics, and athleticism.

But when Wonder Woman was unable to be there for Jan, she was aided by her irreplaceable allies Steve Trevor and Etta Candy who were there to keep young Jan company and raise her when Wonder Woman was off making the world a better place.

Day 568: Bill Davis
Reporter for the daily globe, Bill Davis is a journalist who trained to always seek out the big story, heard a scream and ran towards the source to find out what was going on. For a woman was falling from a window twelve stories up!

Suddenly, leaping from a large crowd of people was none other than Wonder Woman leaping up to meet the falling woman, catching her and placing her back on the right side of the window. A feat which amazed Bill not for the fact that Wonder Woman made such a great leap, but for the fact that Wonder Woman had been nowhere around moments before!

Asking various people on the street to confirm, Bill Davis found no one had seen Wonder Women arrive on the street, and that those amongst the crowd Wonder Woman leaped from did not see Wonder Woman either until she was leaping into the air.

This could only mean one thing...Wonder Woman had a secret identity! Rushing to report to Editor Mathew of the daily globe, Bill revealed what he discovered and the Daily Globe editor proceeded to post this story with a reward, offering $5,000 ($50,774 after inflation) to whoever could discover Wonder Womans secret identity!

Upon reading the paper, an outraged Wonder Woman rushed to the Daily Globe office to protest this, demanding the editor retract the reward, however Edtiro Mathew refused, declaring that he had sold reprints of that paper ten times that day for it was the biggest news in the Daily Globes history.

And thus began a most troubling time for random women were suddenly being accused of being Wonder Woman and confronted. With criminals viewing any woman with suspicion and attempting to take care of Wonder Woman by gunning for anyone who might be the Amazon in disguise...

Day 569: Dinala
Amazonian architect, Dinala prides herself on the quality of her work. Constructing buildings meant to last for thousands of years, Dinala has had a hand in every building on Paradise Island.

But when the island came under heavy bombardment, Dinala was working as fast as she could with her fellow Amazons to construct underground bunkers, taking care to not only make them secure, but comfortable for her fellow Amazons.

Having succeeded in creating an underground space spacious enough to house the islands Amazons, treasures, fauna and remnants of flora, Dinala waited grimly as the buildings she had worked so hard on crumbled under the explosive blasts.

Several of the Amazons soon noticed that the bombardments were occurring in 90 minute intervals and leading a team of volunteers, Dinala waiting until one such bombardment had ceased to head above ground and surveying the destruction. Seeing the precarious structures, Dinala with hook and rope began tearing down crumbling walls, lest they fall upon an Amazon when the whole mess was over.

Swearing to rebuild once the bombardment had stopped, Dinala was so caught up in her work that she did not realize that ninety minutes had passed, as the bombardments began once again before she could get to the bomb shelter.

Fortunately as a shell began flying towards her Wonder Woman coming back to the island, saw the shell appear from thin air and leaping atop her plane, she lasso'd it, catching the mortar shell and dragging it using her invisble plane into the ocean were it became harmless.

Met by Hippolyta, Wonder Woman followed carrying the missile over one shoulder as Dinala and the volunteers rushed with them amidst the bombardment.

Below ground, the situation is explained to Wonder Woman as Amazonian scientists studying the missile, conclude that the minerals making up the missile originate from the land of Mu which vanished 9000 years ago. And thus in order to find answers, Wonder Woman used the Amazonian time machine to go back in time and discover the cause of the plight the island was now facing.

Day 570: Sandra Shaw
World famous stunt woman known for her incredible talent and skill. Sandra Shaw is a fearless individual who with a smile on her face will leap from a skyscraper, land on an airplane wing as it flies past, run across the wings, and dive into the air, catching a rope hanging from a window, swinging in a circle around the skyscraper, and grabbing the ledge of an open window on the opposite side, climbing within.

Because of her incredible ability to accomplish stunts like this, people were convinced that she could be none other than Wonder Woman.

With a reward out for whomever could discover Wonder Womans secret identity and criminals eager to see Wonder Woman dead, Sandra Shaw was unknowingly the target of many.

Thus when she was about to do a stunt in which she would swing from a set of trapieze hanging down from a pair of planes flying side by side, Sandra was startled when a criminal shot one of the trapieze ropes, leaving her hanging by a thread!

Trying to climb up to safety, Sandra had nearly reached the wheel of the plane when the rope was shot again, and Sandra was sent plummeting to her doom....Were it not for Wonder Woman!

Flying to Sandras rescue, Wonder Woman hanging from the ladder of her inviible plane caught Sandra, and carried her off to safety, proving Sandra was not Wonder Woman in the process.

However undeterred, criminals would simply seek out another possible Wonder Woman and try to end her life instead...
