Year of Wonder Woman

Day 421: Matt Mathew

Editor of the daily globe, a newspaper which prides itself on going above and beyond the standards of other rival papers. Matt Mathew is an editor who rides people hard, declaring that the readers will settle only for the highest of quality. One to cave quickly to public opinion, Mathew structures the paper around whatever the public wants at that moment.


Editor Mathew was interviewing Diana Prince, wanting exclusive details about a recent operation to capture the Ruxo gang when Dippy Jackson screamed at the top of his lungs that he couldn't take anymore and leaped out the building from the fifth floor window.



Seeing this, Diana changed into Wonder Woman and racing Dippy down, caught him and leaped back up to the window he had jumped from into a room filled with letters.

Sobbing, Dippy explained to Wonder Woman that he was the 'Hopeless Hearts' department editor. The editor in charge of the newspapers romantic advice articles.



Before Wonder Woman could ask anything else, the sobbing Dippy declared that he was done with that job and he refused to spend a moment longer in the letter filled room. Thus Dippy exited this time through the door, swearing never to return.

With Dippy gone, Editor Mathew unable to find anyone within the paper who would take the job, put in an ad in the paper, asking readers to write in who they wanted to take over the article.

The response was immense, with everyone voicing their desire for Wonder Woman to take over the romantic advice article. Thus Editor Mathew contacted Wonder Woman who not being one to refuse a request to help, took on the job of editor for the Daily Globes Hopeless Hearts department.

Upon taking the job, Wonder Woman was introduced to the room containing thousands of love advice letters, and had it explained to her by Editor Mathew that the Daily Globe priding itself on being better than any other paper, didn't simply give advice about peoples romantic troubles, but that the editor was required to personally resolve the problem personally. A feat which no editor could stomach for more than a few weeks.

And thus so it was that Wonder Woman would begin focusing her efforts to aid the heart broken in need.

The concept of the Hopeless Hearts letters would be a reoccuring element of the Silver Age. Gone would be the single working mothers, children in need of education, and criminals in need of reform. Instead, Wonder Woman would see an increased interest in romance and storylines revolved around either her love life or the love life of someone else.

Day 422: Queen Helen

Ruler of New Troy, a secret island nation in the Atlantic ocean, Queen Helen is the descendant of Helen of Troy who contrary to historical record, escaped Troy when it fell with the Trojans and fled to the ocean where they founded a new nation.

For thousand of years the Trojans stewed hatred, developing a deep seated grudge against Greece which they swore to one day destroy just as their own nation had been obliterated.

To this day convinced that the Greeks could attack them at any moment to try and end them once and for all, the Trojans patrolled the surrounding ocean, capturing ships, imprisoning their crew and sinking the vessels to keep their homeland safe.

When Helen, decedent of the ancient Helen of Troy ascended to the throne, she declares that no longer would they hide, waiting for the Greeks to destroy all they hold dear! Instead, they would build up their military and take the fight to Greece, and get their revenge for the fall of Troy!

Thus Helen launched a thousand ships just as her ancestor did when fleeing their ancient homeland. And prepared for war. Expanding their boundary, more shops were reported missing in the area. Cargo ships, fishing vessels. When the military vessel the S.S Raven mysteriously vanished, Steve Rogers takes off in a spy plane and mysteriously vanishes while investigating the disappearances.

In reality, Steve like all the others were captured by the Trojans and brought before Helen, she exclaims that Steve is the splitting image of Paris, the lover of her ancestor and declared that he would stand by her side as Greece burned to the ground. Steve Trevor tried to explain that Greece didn't exist anymore, but Helen refusing to believe him, threatened to kill the prisoners from past vessels if he did not cooperate. Thus, Steve mutely stood by her side, knowing that Wonder Woman would save him.

And indeed, once Wonder Woman finds out Steve is missing she calculates his last position and searches the ocean floor until she discovers his crashed spy plane. And finds that it engine had been shot by an arrow and that it landing on the water, had been rammed by a wooden vessel with a volcanic gum finish. A technique unique to the Trojans in the crafting of their warships.

Thus rising, Wonder Woman swims around until she discovers a Trojan ship, avoids their attempts to kill her and lassos their captain, getting him to explain the plans of Queen Helen and discovering just what was going on.

Realizing that she was facing Trojans and familiar with her history, Wonder Woman proceeded to construct a wooden horse....

And just like that shortly after, the capitals guards announced that a large wooden horse was sitting outside the gates of New Troy.

Steve Trevor familiar with his history, had a big grin on his face and declared that it must be a tribute to the sea god Posieden, and that the Trojans should bring it inside their walls right away.

At Helens command, a man standing upon the castle gates declared 'We must bring this offering within our walls, open the gates!'....Followed shortly after by hundreds of archers with flaming arrows surrounding the wooden horse and firing upon it, followed shortly after by the wooden horse being attacked with catapults and balista.

Because the Trojans also happened to be familiar with history.

Horrified at what he thought was Wonder Womans demise, Steve broke into tears, unaware that Wonder Woman knowing well that the Trojans wouldn't fall for that ever again, had slipped around the back and breaking through the cities walls, found the prison and rescued all those held captive.

Once they were freed and on her invisible plane headed for mainland, Wonder Woman raced into the palace to confront Queen Helen and rescue a shocked Steve Trevor.

Defeating the entire Trojan army single handed, Queen Helen declared that her life was forfeit to which Wonder Woman declared that Queen Helen needed to give up on her hatred. She explained that Greece didn't exist anymore, and that the Trojans needed to move on and dedicate themselves to love and peace.

And thus so it was that the Trojan military was disbanded and Queen Helen went on to lead New Troy to a golden age of prosperity.

Day 423: Professor Proto Toz
Villainous time traveler from the year 1851, Toz invented a device which allowed him to travel to the FUTURE where he would steal valuables using his advanced science of the 1850s, and return to his own time a wealthy millionaire with no one born to know of his crimes.

Traveling to the year 1951, Professor Toz hid out within his house which was abandoned after one hundred years, and invented a force field machine which would protect his home from the constables! Robbing banks with his automatic horseless carriage, Toz would return to his safe house, confident that no one could enter, and that even if they did, he would simply return to the past where no one could catch him.

When dozens of police and army officials tried storming his home with all manner of weaponry including tanks, Professor Toz scoffed, mocking these lesser minds for thinking they could stand against him!

However the tables turned when Wonder Woman getting word of Toz's villainy, headed for his house and digging beneath it, she came up in the basement which his force field and time machine were housed and destroyed them, trapping Toz in the year 1951 and sending him to jail.

Imprisoned, Toz swore revenge against Wonder Woman, declaring that he would get even with her for defeating him so. Thus over several months of collecting bits and pieces while in prison, Toz assembled a new time machine and traveled through time to get his revenge!

Days after Toz escaped from prison mysteriously, Wonder Woman was contacted by her mother Queen Hippolyta who brought her home to inform her of some unsettling news. The Amazons regularly monitoring events across time discovered that all future mention of Wonder Woman had been erased from history! They pinpointed the source to the year 2051, but were baffled as to what had occurred to make even the memory of Wonder Woman be forgotten a mere century in the future.

Thus in order to get to the bottom of this mystery, Wonder Woman used the Amazonian time machine to travel a hundred years in the future! Arriving in the future city of Metropolo, Wonder Woman finds this fantastic futuristic city had statues dedicated to lesser heroes such as Superman, Batman, and Robin, but that nobody had any recollection of Wonder Woman. Going to the library, she found that all history books had been censored, with her name and actions erased from history itself so that none may know what had occurred.

But as Wonder Woman mad inquiries and investigated, trying to uncover the cause of this erasure from history, Wonder Woman found herself being confronted by the police, who rode upon flying hover bikes and wielded magno cuffs for arresting criminals. They declared that Wonder Woman was breaking the law by speaking about forbidden material. But before they could arrest her, tragedy struck as a cruise rocket coming from outer space was coming down towards the city, threatening to crash and end the lives of many!

Wonder Woman acting fast, leaped into the air and using her magic lasso, caught the rocket and using her upward momentum, pulled its nose up and landing upon it, rode the rocket into the harbor where nobody was harmed and the people could be safely evacuated.

The city was amazed by the actions of Wonder Woman and the a reporter barreling through the crowd, asked for her name, and Wonder Woman introducing herself, gave one of her great speeches about people needing to live their lives with love for their fellows and to support one another in times of need.

By then, the police had caught up with Wonder Woman who willingly surrendered herself to them much to the dismay of the masses, and Wonder Woman was brought to the ruler of the city by the name of 'Proto' a famed super scientist who appearing from thin air, advanced their societies technology by decades and was made their ruler.

However when Wonder Woman met with him, she realized that she knew Proto by another name....Professor Toz! Indeed, upon realizing that he had no chance in the year of 1951 as a criminal, Professor Toz realized that he would be better received in the year 2051 as a savior! But unable to let go of his spite and hatred for Wonder Woman imprisoning her, Proto used his power and influence to erase Wonder Womans name from all records and histories!

And now that Wonder Woman was before him in chains, Professor Proto Toz knowing that to be chained by a man rendered her powerless, intended to kill her once and for all!


Thus summoning the chief of police, he ordered the law official to take Wonder Woman to be executed. However the law officer protested, pointing out that Wonder Woman having in her brief time in the future proven herself to be a hero, had gained the public favor, and that the people would riot once they realized what Proto had done.

Enraged but seeing the logic of this, Proto pondered and came up with a nefarious plan! Thus going before the people, Proto declared that Wonder Woman had committed unspeakable crimes (which naturally he did not speak of) and that due to Wonder Womans bravery, he would give her a chance to earn her freedom by battling...In the robot gladiatorial coliseum!

Yes, naturally being the future, the primary source of entertainment lay in sending robot slaves into the gladiatorial pits to fight one another, or do battle with robot lions and other dangerous robot beasts for the entertainment of the crowds.

And so it was that Wonder was entered into the gladitorial games and does do battle with robot arches, robot swordsmen, robot spearmen with electro nets, ferocious robot lions, and robot charioteers.

Wonder Woman despite her strength being lost, was able to defeat each and every one of them single handed and Proto enraged by this, leaped into the arena himself and wielding an electro sword, attempted to strike Wonder Woman down!

But Wonder Woman raising her magno mannacles above her, allowed Proto to cleave them in two, freeing her, and she was able to lasso him, and make him confess to his crimes.

And thus so it was that Wonder Professor Toz returned with Wonder Woman back to the year 1951, and back to prison for his crimes, and Wonder Womans mark on history would remain for centuries to come.

Wonder Woman Character of the Day

Day 424: Jean Simpson
A woman from Meteor Town with romantic troubles, Jean Simpson is engaged to her boyfriend Bill Borer, a small time inventor with a dream of one day striking it rich. Jean dearly wanting to marry him, urges Bill to pull himself away from his quest of riches for a bit and settle down.

But Bill having invented what he is convinced is a gold detector, is led to meteor mountain, a huge mountain that was a single solid piece of rock which had crashed into the Earth millions of years ago. His machine telling him that there was a mountains worth of gold right in front of him, Bill was convinced that he had finally struck it rich and simply needed to mine for his fortune!

But every effort at penetrating that mountain ended in failure!
He tried drills. He tried laser cutters. He tried diamond tipped saws. He trieed jackhammers. He tried Dynamite. He tried Borers. He even resorted to a catapult with no effect.

Setting up a tent and sleeping at the foot of meteor mountain, Bill declared that he would sooner die than give up on this treasure! Jean helpless to resolve her problem, wrote a letter to the Daily Globes 'Hopeless Hearts' department for help in curing her boyfriend of his obsession!

Wonder Woman serving as editor, read the letter and immediately jumped to it! Flying over to Meteor mountain in her invisible plane, Wonder Woman inspected the mountain and declared that it was impossible for even her to break it with her bare hands. But getting an idea, Wonder Woman grabbing Jean and Bill, carried them away from the hill.

Flying up into space, Wonder Woman tracked down a second, identical meteor with the same elemental properties and towing it back to Earth, Wonder Woman crashed the two together, causing both of them to smash apart on contact.

In the end it was revealed that not a speck of gold was in the mountain and testing Bills invention, Wonder Woman concluded that he had invented a machine that specifically detected the unknown alien metal which made up the mountain.

Bill cursing himself, swore that he would have to start all over to find a way to make himself rich, to which Wonder Woman pointed out that if he sold the pieces of the mountain to research institutes, its invulnerable properties would make it worth quite a large sum.

Taking Wonder Womans advice, Bill soon struck it rich and Bill and Jean were soon married.

Day 425: Doctor Ling
Chinese archeologist and historian, Doctor Ling is a man who has dedicated his life to uncover the ancient secrets of China. Embroiling himself in ancient unrecorded history, Doctor Ling began his latest venture, excavation of the Great Wall of China.

A wall which according to what few accounts existed, was built overnight thousands of years ago, with no explanation as to how or by who. Doctor Ling spending years getting aproval and beginning his excavation, began digging beneath the wall at key points, searching for evidence of the walls builders and its origins.

However in the end all he had was more questions than answers. He knew that the wall was built 2000 years ago from the year 1951 AD in the year 2300 BC, and that all evidence suggested that it had indeed been constructed in a single night, with local rock, and carved by hand without the use of tools or chisels. How this was done however was a mystery to the archeologist.

After attaining further funding from an American colleague, Doctor Ling continued his calculated digs under the great wall and by a stroke of luck, he stumbled across an amazing discovery. A sarcophagus of a warrior woman. Dating it to be made in the year 2300 BC. Noting that the tomb of the sarcophagus appears to have been constructed shortly after the wall itself, Doctor Lings excavation crew began to unearth and take the ancient coffin up to the surface when tragedy struck, and the scafolding broke, sending it crashing to the ground in a million pieces.

However despite this setback, Doctor Ling refused to give up, and vowed to uncover the secret of the great wall.

Day 426: T.H Marcy

Famed producer from Monarch studios, T.H Marcy had an original and brilliant idea which was going to shake the movie industry! He was going to make...A Wonder Woman movie!


Yes, there had already been over a hundred Wonder Woman movies, and yes there had even been movies about the history of the Amazons, the life of Queen Hippolyta, the adventures of Etta Candy & the Holliday girls, and even a movie about Paula Von Gunther. But this movie would be different! For it would star none other than Wonder Woman herself!

Pitching the idea to the studio and getting green lit, T.H Marcy called up Wonder Woman, confident that she would say yes on the spot.

However, much to T.H Marcys shock and horror, Wonder Woman said no! Declaring that it would be vain of her to star herself in a motion picture, Wonder Woman declined his offer.

T.H Marcy having banked the entire movie pitch on Wonder Woman being attached to it, begged and pleaded with her before asking her to at least take a technical adviser role in the film. However even then Wonder Woman appeared reluctant.

Thus T.H Marcy desperately plotting to get Wonder Woman somehow involved, declared that he would pay Wonder Woman double, and that the money meant for her would instead go to charity!

At this, Wonder Woman balked for if her working on this movie could help the unfortunate, she could hardly say no.

And thus so it was that he got Wonder Woman attached to the latest Wonder Woman movie.

Day 427: John Mathew
Well off investor with a nice house, a wonderful car, and a dog. John Mathew was head over heels for Theresa Adams. Being the boastful sort to constantly brag about how well off he was, and the sort to try and rationalize things that lack rational thought, John Mathew tried convincing Theresa to marry him.

He did this by visiting her, and out of the blue explaining with cold logic that she should marry him that very instant, and began rambling off a list of his assets and how lucky she would be to have him as her husband, and concluded that through simple logic, she should marry him that instant.

Theresa having never done more than exchanged pleasantries with him in the past, scoffed at this and immediately refused, much to the bafflement of John.

And so, focusing on his work and increasing his assets, and buying a yaht, he contacted Theresa again, proposing to her and in great detail, describing how well off he was and how logically she should marry him, only to once again be rejected.

This would repeat itself a dozen times with John baffled as to why Theresa kept refusing him. At his wits end, John wrote to the 'Hopeless Hearts' article in the Daily Globe his situation and asked for help, only to have Wonder Woman arrive at his door!

Wagging a finger at John, Wonder Woman berated him for making it all about his ego. She asked him if even once he told her how he felt about her, or if he had even asked her out on a single date before trying to push her to marry him, to which John confessed he had not.

Thus Wonder Woman told John that if he wanted to win Theresas heart, he needed to ask her out for dinner, get to know her, and in turn allow Theresa to learn more about himself. For as Wonder Woman explained, she wouldn't be marrying his wealth, so why would she want to marry him when all she was learning about was that wealth?

And so it was that John Mathew began courting Theresa and showing how he felt, and the two were soon enough married a year later.

Day 428: Zita Zanders

Hollywood actress with alot of clout, Zita Zanders is best known for being the fiance of Igor Gorgo, the ace director of Monarch studios who always puts Zita in the lead role of all his films.

When famed producer T.H Marcy got his Wonder Woman movie green lit, naturally he picked Igor Gorgo to direct, but despite that T.H Marcy insisted on making the final decision on casting choices.

Zita Zanders enraged by this, confronted her boyfriend Igor and demanded that he get her that lead role or she would dump him for someone who would! Unable to change T.H Marcys mind, Igor resorted to investing his money on advertisements, trying to convince people to contact the studio and campaign for Zita Zanders to star in the film.

Thus Zita Zanders soon had sky writing. Planes flying overhead carrying giant banners. Radio jingles. Television commercials. Even people paid to dress up as Wonder Woman and carry around giant billboards stating 'Demand Zita Zanders for Wonder Woman'

Zita beaming from all the attention and advertising, was positively aglow to see her name everywhere.

However, despite all the careful plotting of Zita and Igor, the unexpected occurred! A passing film crew had set up in the middle of a busy street, intending to film the traffic going down main street to show how hustling and bustling it was for a documentary on city life. But while they were recording, a baby had climbed onto the windowsill of an apartment building five stories up!

The mother seeing this, screamed, startling the baby who fell from the window and the film crew horrified, continued filming as the wee newborn was falling to its death!

By the greatest of fortunes however, who should be passing by but Diana Prince. Hearing the scream, she looked up in horror at the falling child and not even thinking about her secret identity, Diana leaped into the air and catching the baby, she landed back on the ground with the wee tot cradled in her arms cooing excitedly.

The childs mother running to ground level a moment later sobbing, took her baby and thanked Diana, declaring her a true Wonder Woman for her act of heroism!

The film crew were beside themselves, having just caught on film GOLD. Rushing back to their studio, theaters across the country were soon showing the short film of Diana Prince leaping into the air and rescuing the newborn. The two minute film titled 'Diana Prince, a true Wonder Woman' became an instant hit beloved by all. And suddenly Monarch Studios was flooded with letters and phone calls from the masses, demanding that Diana Prince play the part of Wonder Woman!

T.H Marcy gloating at the attention his movie was getting, phoned up the head of Army Intelligence, Philip Darnell. And asked him if they could borrow Diana Prince for their movie. Promising in exchange to grant free entry to all army personel upon the movies release.

Darnell unable to refuse, called in Diana and declaring it a vital military mission, assigned her to play the role of Wonder Woman in the movie!

As for Zita Zanders, she screamed and raged in fury at her fiance and declared that she was leaving him, only for the pleading Igor to assure Zita that he would ensure Diana Prince would never be Wonder Woman. Even if it meant...Murder.

Day 429: Professor Dorane

Archeologist with the superpower of college funding for his research, Professor Dorane is a man who travels the globe in search of scientific discoveries. Hearing word during his stay in China about Doctor Ling and his efforts to uncover the secret of the great wall of china, Professor Dorane met with Doctor Ling and volunteered to fund his further research.

And thus working together, Dorane and Ling continued searching and excavating until they made a great discovery in finding an ancient sarcophagus! However when in attempting to move it that piece of history was tragically shattered into a million pieces.

HOWEVER! Professor Dorane knew of one person in the world who might be willing to help. One champion of education who would not allow history to be lost! The only person in all the world who could possibly reassemble the sarcophagus from a million broken shards! He of course was thinking of Wonder Woman.

Collecting every single piece and flying back to the states, Professor Dorane contacted Wonder Woman and getting her help, watched in open amazement alongside Doctor Ling as Wonder Woman without knowing what it would look like, was able to through a combination of her incredible intellect and wonder speed, reassemble the sarcophagus.

And looking upon it, Wonder Woman was amazed.

For the lid of the sarcophagus had the visage of a Chinese woman, but she bore an Amazonian peltra. A curved crescent shield commonly used by the Amazons. Sandals likewise of Amazonian style, and breeches which apparently are a common feature of Amazonian apparel? (Making her the first Amazon in DC comics to wear pants, and the only one for seventy years.)

Doctor Ling naturally familiar with Chinese history, points out that the woman was wearing a helmet, armor, and clothing common in China 2000 years ago from the year 1951 AD in the year 2300 BC.

Wonder Woman fascinated by this mystery, declared that she would get to the bottom of this and traveling to Paula Von Gunthers laboratory, She borrowed the reformed villains time machine and traveled 2000 years in the past from the year 1951 ad to the year 2300 bc which is 2000 years in the past!

Day 430: Alice Bates

Fiance of transport pilot Carl Day, they were to be married after he returned from a delivery in the Amazon jungle when tragedy struck, and he vanished three years ago. After six months of searching, rescue crews gave up and declared Carl Day dead, but Alice Bates refused to give up and continued to hold out hope for her loves return.

When Alice Bates got word that Wonder Woman was head of the 'Hopeless Hearts' column, Alice Bates knowing Wonder Woman had sworn to resolve any romantic troubles, wrote to the Amazonian princess for help.

And thus so it was that the Amazon headed to the Amazon jungle, following the Amazon river which according to Alice, Carl Day would follow during his flights over the Amazon.

Using her Amazonian deduction skills, Wonder Woman calculated where the plane must have fallen and following the river, she stopped by a village which she noticed had been using sections of an airplane to construct their homes. Fending off spears, Wonder Woman learned that Carl Day having crashed in the villiage, was taken prisoner and force to get a job as a professional canoe designer. But that one week ago, he had escaped upon one of the canoes he designed in the middle of the night.

Thus realizing Carl Day was trying to get to his love Alice, Wonder Woman took to her invisible plane in search of him...Only to discover the very man being carried off by a giant condor to its nest! Wonder Woman thinking fast, grabbed her lasso and slung it into the river, catching a giant pirana and threw it at the condor!

The condor dropping Carl Day, made a grab for the fish, forgetting all about the poor man whom Wonder Woman promptly rescued.

Returning to civilization, Wonder Woman delivered Carl Day to Alice Bates and their long overdue wedding finally took place.

Day 431: Igor Gorgo

Ace director for Monarch studios, Igor Gorgo is the fiance of Zita Zanders, and the director to head T.H Marcys Wonder Woman movie. Having promised the lead role of Wonder Woman to his love Zita only for T.H. Marcy to pick Diana Prince for the role, Igor swore to do away with Diana Prince so that Zita could have the role! And he planned to do so...Through MURDER.

When Diana Prince arrived, Igor declared that the film was improv, and that they would first shoot all of the stunts which he insisted Diana do herself for REALISM.

The first stunt was having Diana walk a tight rope across the grand canyon while carrying a metal rod. Which Igor arranged well aware of a thunderstorm announcement which soon hit the area. Then not wanting to take chances, while Diana was dodging lightning bolts and crossing the ravine, Igor got out his pistol and shot the tight rope, causing it to break!

Diana though acting fast, grabbed the broken line and swinging, ended up on the opposite side of the grand canyon and climbed up to safty, much to Igor and Zitas ire.

Next, Igor arranged for Diana to ride a robot brontasaurus which he sabotaged so it would go out of control and try to kill everyone, including Diana Prince herself!

However as the robot dinosaur charged towards the film crew, Diana gripping its neck, twisted, causing the head to break off, upon which Diana reached inside and unplugged the dinosaur from its engine, which she claimed was complete chance.

Zita and Igor furious at Diana Prince's survival, decide to throw away even the pretext of subtly and having her fly through the air in a plane, had filled it with ten tons of dynamite and set it to explode in midair!

When the plane exploded, the two of them began laughing and jumping down in glee, declaring that at last, Diana Prince was dead and the role was Zitas!

However despite their expectations, who should survive that incredible situation but Diana Prince! For clinging to a wing of the plane which had snapped off, Diana had converted it into a glider which allowed her to safly reach the ground without injury.

Diana Prince boasted that as a member of army intelligence, she was used to constant attempts on her life, to which Zita and Igor pulling out guns, prepared to shoot at Diana, striking her down!

However so focused were they on Diana Prince that that the pair had forgotten that they were in the middle of a film set with dozens of people within earshot, and that numerous witnesses could testify about their confession to attempted murder.

Steve Trevor having been watching the film as a guest, came to the rescue of totally ordinary Diana Prince who cannot deflect bullets like Wonder Woman can, and punched out both Zita and Igor, leaving them to the police to send to the slammer.

As for the movie itself, the camera crews simply recorded Diana Prince surviving those many impossibly feats and made the film about that, not even bothering to work in a story. It was a huge success.

Day 432: Dean Merrily

Professional trapper and wilderness expert, Dean Merrily has spent decades living off of the land and calls the great outdoors his home. Forsaking a dwelling of any kind, Dean Merrily boasts that a man can live with nothing but the clothes on his back and knowledge of the great outdoors.

Always happy to teach the secrets of wilderness survival to those with an interest, Dean Merrily has arranged a college program with schools across the country in which colleges will send a small group of students to spend one week with him on Snow Cap Peak, where he will teach them how to survive, create the necessary tools from what nature has available, and how to track and mark trails.

His students including Holliday girls, he delights in teaching them how to hunt, fish, cook and survive. Teaching them how to make rope, tools and temporary dwellings with only the materials nature has on hand.

Among Deans interests, the trapper delights in showing students a red wood tree which has been shoved clear through a ten ton boulder. Which Dean Merrily explained was the work of Paul Bunyan, a giant of a man who would mark his trails in such a way so that others could follow in his foot steps, a fact that Dean Merrily took great pride in, declaring Paul Bunyan to be his hero.

Day 433: Princess Mei
Ruler of a province of Northwestern China, Princess Mei is the descendant of a band of Amazons who when Amazonia extended to Asia, fled further East when Hercules invaded their nation.

Settling in what would become China, the Amazons would mingle with the locals and a thousand years later, their province would be unique in all of China as possessing a culture which blended Amazonian and Chinese traditions, arts, and sciences to create something wholly unique.

Princess Mei the ruler of their region, has sworn to keep the people safe, and rule with love and peace as her ancestors the Amazons of old had passed on to them. Armed with an Amazonian peltra shield, and trained in both martial arts and Amazonian non violent self defense, Princess Mei was a powerful protector of the people.

Wonder Woman traveling 2000 years into the past from the year 1951 AD to the year 2300 BC which is 2000 years in the past, arrived in that province to discover Princess Mei fending off an invading army led by Chang the conqueror, who hailed from a land north of China.

Watching as Princess Mei effortlessly defeated Chang single handed, forcing his army to retreat, Wonder Woman greeted the fellow princess and recognized as an Amazon, Diana was invited back to their village for a festival, the descendants of the Amazons eager to learn the fate of the other Amazons.

Wonder Woman marveling at their culture, and how everything from their fashions, arts, dance and music were a perfect blending with echoes of her own homeland, Wonder Woman delighted in telling Princess Mei and her people of Paradise Island, the Amazons escape to it, and even declared that they were all welcome to visit as fellow Amazons regardless of the generations which had passed between them.

And so it was that Princess Mei and Princess Diana became friends, just as Chang the conqueror prepared for a great invasion...

Day 434: Janet Brown

Pet store owner, Janet Brown is a woman who walking across the street, was nearly struck by a car when she was rescued by a man who she recognized as Steve Trevor. Falling for him, Janet declared that Steve Trevor would be hers!

Aware that Wonder Woman swore an oath to help anyone with their romantic problems via the newspaper column she was currently doing, Janet Brown wrote to the Hopeless Hearts department of the daily globe for help courting Steve Trevor.

Wonder Woman in tears upon discovering Janet wanted to marry Steve Trevor, declared that she had taken an oath and must do everything in her power to help Janet and Steve fall in love.

Thus taking Janet to Paradise Island, Wonder Woman presented her with an Amazonian beauty parlor which used advanced Amazonian techniques to make her look stunning.

Afterwards, Wonder Woman much to her great reluctance, detailed to Janet Steve Trevors preferences. His favorite restaurant, his love of dance halls, and how much he enjoyed the circus, giving Janet all the details she needed for the perfect date.

Wonder Woman despairing, could not help but stalk the couple and watch to see what transpired.

Day 435: Jovia

Professional nanny and governess from the planet Jupiter, Jovia lived a serene and peaceful life on her home planet of Jupiter. The giant jovial Jovian stood a hundred feet tall, the average height for a Jovian.

However everything changed when the Automotons attacked.

A race of powerful robotic aliens, they came to invade Jupiter for its resources, and sought to exterminate the Jovian race which stood in its way. Millions perished, the proud Jovian military helpless against the technological superiority of the mechanical race.

The remainder of Joviankind gathering at the world capital, Jovia was one of a select few who were brought before Jodoh, leader of the Jovians and appointed with a vital task. All hope lost, Jupiter was certain to fall to the Automotons, and with it the few remaining Jovians. However, the Jovian people did not have to die with it.

Having in secret constructed spacecraft meant to travel to distant worlds, a technological feat which was beyond them at this point in their technological development, Jodoh intended to use the few vessels they possessed to evacuate the children of Jupiter, so they might live on, as the vessels could fit twice as many children as adults.

One adult was assigned to each vessel in order to pilot it and care for the children, and Jovia was amongst those selected for her training as a nanny. And thus under cover of an attempted Jovian assault on the Automonotons lines, Jovia's vessel was launched, with Jodohs plan to send one at a time in the hopes that at least one vessel would arrive despite the assault.

As luck would have it, Jovia's vessel snuck past the Automotons offensive line, and she arrived on Earth. Landing the craft in the mountains, Jovia let the children out to play while she attempted to make contact with any following evacuation shuttles to give her coordinates.

Wonder Womans attention would be drawn to this when people began screaming and panicking about trees flying through the air and crashing into things, seemingly from nowhere. This was soon followed by rocks, and even giant snowballs.

Wonder Woman following the trajectory of the flying objects, discovered a gaggle of twenty foot tall toddlers playing with the rocks, trees, and snow of the mountain they had landed upon.

Wonder Woman trying to keep the children from harming anyone, proceeded to draw the childrens attention by doing all manner of acrobatics and lasso tricks. Suck as twirling her lasso and flipping through the air into it with nary an effort, much to the delight of the Jovian children who stared in awe.

One of the wee things, declaring that the magic lasso looked pretty, grabbed at it and pulled and pulled and pulled, the magic lasso lengthening with every tug. The other children amazed, joined in and soon the lot of them were grabbing on the magic lasso with both hands and tugging on it. Wonder Woman telling the big babies that it wasn't a toy, began to tug on it, leading to a tug of war between Wonder Woman and fifty twenty foot tall infants.

Hearing the commotion, Jovia left the rocket ship and offering the children candies so they would behave, introduced herself to Wonder Woman and explained their horrific situation, with the additional knowledge that the last of the refugee vessels had escaped Jupiter and all of them were en route to Earth.

Wonder Woman horrified by the discovery of what was taking place on Jupiter swore that she would not let the war go on and telepathically calling her invisible plane, Wonder Woman took off into space to stop the invasion!

Day 436: Zarbini Quartet
A group of quintuplets who are all referred to only by their last name, the Zarbini quartet are a team of acrobats working at the Mammoth circus. Looking neigh identical in dress, build and style, the Zarbinis were raised as a single unit and learned to function as one.

Trained since infanthood in acrobatics, the four of them spent decades doing nothing else but mastering their teamwork and becoming the greatest team of acrobatic quintuplets in the world!

Becoming high wire acrobats for the very circus they were born and raised in, the four of them each as strong as the circus strong man, the Zarbinis would do stunts such as one of the quartet riding a unicycle while holding up one of his brothers in each arm, with their fourth brother standing upon the shoulders of the other two.

Or wielding swords, they would play out a dramatic fencing scene amongst one another with much flipping over one another and swords flying in the air only to be caught by one of their brothers without any trouble.

Considered the heart of the Mammoth circus, the four brothers know no fear and only once have they ever been in any true danger.

And that was when the tight rope collapsed under them, threatening to send the quartet to their deaths as they never operated with a net! Fortunately who should be in the audience but Wonder Woman?! Leaping into the air as the four brothers were falling, Wonder Woman caught them all on her ascent with the four slung over one arm.

Grabbing the broken wire on the way up, she landed on the platform and secured the tight rope properly. And then not missing a beat, Wonder Woman proceeded to walk across the tight rope while juggling the Zarbini brothers much to the delight of the crowd and the Zarbini brothers themselves who swore to somehow find a way to fit that stunt into their act.

Day 437: Chang
Ancient ruler of the barbarian armies that existed northwest of China during the year 2300 BC which is apparently 2000 years from the year 1951 AD, Chang with his large army sought to conquer China, starting with the tiny Amazonian province ruled by Princess Mei.

Losing soundly to Princess Mei, Chang retreated and returned in the dead of night, kidnapping the princess. Chang plotting to divide their forces, then arranged for a sarcophagus to be constructed and delivered to the gates of the city, declaring that on noon of that day, he will behead Princess Mei atop the nearby mountain peak.

Expecting their armies to go off to Mei's rescue, Chang taking advantage of his armies mastery of ceramics, constructed a fleet of clay dragons which his army would ride in, making them invulnerable to all manner of arow or projectile. With this, Chang was certain he would not fail!

However, he did not count on the might of Wonder Woman! Declaring she would save Mei single handed, the princess of the Amazons ran to the mountain peak and discovering the soldiers holding the princess hostage, defeated them single handed and carrying the princess in her arms, Wonder Woman ran back to the Amazonian town to discover it was being invaded by the barbarians!

Smashing the clay dragons to reveal the soldiers inside, Wonder Woman was confronted with Chang who dueled with a pair of throwing axes. Deflecting the axes with ease, Wonder Woman lasso'd the entire army, picked up like one giant ball, and carried it off, depositing the lot of them back in their own lands.

Then wanting to ensure Mei and the Chinese Amazons would be safe from Chang and his men, Wonder Woman then constructed a great wall for China which spanned its border by smashing rocks with her bare hands and placing them, constructing the entire wall in a single day.

As for Princess Mei, so impressed was she by the craftsmanship of the sarcophagus Chang had threatened her people with, she declared that she wanted to be buried in it upon her death.

And thus Wonder Woman returned to her own time, revealing the mystery of the great wall of China to Doctor Ling and Professor Dorane.

Day 438: Colonel Bravo
Former lieutenant in the United States Military during world war 2, Colonel chose to retire from military service immediately after and live a quiet and peaceful life as a human canonball.

Despite leaving military service, Colonel Bravo continued to wear his military uniform which he found he looked quite dashing in, and thus it simply made his circus act stand out all the more.

Launching himself from a giant canon, Colonel would be sent flying hundreds of feet into the air and would then proceed to open his parachute, and do tricks in the sky, ending his feat of daring do by parachuting through a collection of rings and landing smack dab in the middle of a giant bullseye.

The most noticeable thing about Colonel Bravo though was not his former military service, or his career as a circus daredevil. It was the undeniable fact that Colonel Bravo happened to look, behave, and dress exactly Steve Trevor. The two of them could be identical twins, even happening to have the same exact hairstyle and interests.

Naturally Steve Trevor knowing everyone in the military past and present on a personal basis, was good friends with Colonel Bravo. The two of them would often share a banana split and talk about how fun it is to go flying through the air.

During Steve Trevors date with Janet Brown which Wonder Woman was none to subtly eavesdropping upon, Janet talked about how Steve had saved her life from an oncoming car which Steve denied with some confusion, stating that he had been out of the country during the week the event Janet described had occurred.

Wonder Woman finding this more than a little curious, went and investigated, discovering the existence of Colonel Bravo who at that moment was sitting in the park sighing, head over heels over a girl he rescued but didn't know the name of.

Diana having more than a hunch, offered to introduce them and thus she brought Colonel to see Janet. The two instantly fell for one another.

Day 439: Jodoh
Ruler of the giant Jovians of planet Jupiter, Jodoh ruled his bronze age world just and fairly. Funding science to study a means of space travel, Jodoh like all Jovians stood at fifty feet tall on a world where everything was commonly large in proportion to Earth.

When the Automaton's of planet Automato invaded, Jodoh raising his sword in the air, led the worlds armies to combat the invaders. They lost heavily. City after city falling to the alien machines, Jodoh evacuated the remainder of the citizenry to the capital and sending their bronze age rocket ships with the planets children, Jodoh stood with every remaining able bodied man and woman who could hold a sword to take on the flying space craft with their air to surface laser canons.

But when all hope seemed lost, who should arrive but Wonder Woman!
Flying her invisible plane into the oncoming barrage of laser fire, it served to absorb the light without any effect to the Amazonian aircraft!

Then telepathically controlling her invisible plane to encircle the capital city and absorb laser fire, Wonder Woman leaped down to ground level and despite being dwarfed by the Jovians, Wonder Woman pulled out her lasso and throwing it, the lasso extended infinitly into the planets mesosphere, catching one of the Automato spacecraft and pulling it down to the surface with a crash.

Doing this one at a time before the Automatons could devise some means of warding off an unbreakable magic lasso which was able to reach them from planetary orbit and ground them, Wonder Woman had soon defeated the robots entire fleet!

As they exited their vessels with laser pistols in hand, Wonder Woman raising her lasso overhead, twirled it and throwing it at the combined army of space invaders, soon had the entire Automato army captured!

Jodoh beyond himself with awe that an alien arriving from out of nowhere had in the span of a few minutes, defeated the armada which had brought genocide to his world, Jodoh declared that he would do anything to repay Wonder Woman for this and brandishing his sword, approached the army to kill them.

However before Jodoh could have his revenge he was stopped by Wonder Woman who declared that bloodshed did not beget bloodshed, for violence was not the answer.

Day 440: Jasper Lang

An accomplished scientist who worked at the Riverside chemical works, Jasper Lang suffered from a painfully bloated opinion of himself and declaring that he deserved what he imagined was owed to him, Jasper Lang attempted to steal from the Riverside chemical laboratories the J3X formula which would convert sea water into fuel.

Easily captured by Wonder Woman who retrieved the formula, Jasper Lang went to prison where he entered the prisons scientific advancement program where prisoners have the opportunity to better the world by furthering scientific development.

Working with prison scientist Doctor Dane of the Empire Hills prison, Jasper ruefully remarked that he rushed it and that if he had taken his time, he would have been filthy rich. Doctor Dane taking this as a sign that Jasper was rehabilitating, did not realize that Jasper had devised a means of literally doing so.

For in secret, Jasper Lang had invented a time machine! Once it was completed, Jaspers consciousness was catapulted a year into the past, and he awoke in his body within the Riverside chemical works.

Having memorized every event that happened on the day of his arrest, Jasper stole a car just as a plane began to crash into the city. He robbed a jewelery store while the city was being attacked by killer bees. He used his knowledge of past events to turn things in his favor.

Robbing the laboratory in secret, Jasper declared that not only would he steal the J3X formula, but that he would have his revenge on Wonder Woman for locking him away.

Thus immediately after stealing the formula, Jasper rigged a bomb and set it in Steves jeep to explode once the engine started. However Steve being an agent in army intelligence has had more than his fair share of attempted car bombings and recognizing the attempt, escaped the jeep with nary a scratch.

Furious, Jasper then attempted to be more direct and knowing that Wonder Woman would be flying a stunt show with a visible plane to replace a sickly stunt flyer who asked for help, Jasper snuck into the airfield, planted a bomb and escaped, watching from the distance with glee.

However while up in the air, Wonder Woman noticed the explosive and flying high into the air, Wonder Woman tossed the explosive into space where it exploded safely.

Wonder Woman suspicious of this, pondered what it all meant when she was called by the Riverside chemical works and told about the robbery.

Meanwhile, Jasper Lang attempting to sell off the formula to spies, was declared a fraud as the spy pointed out to the clueless scientist that what he was trying to sell was an incomplete formula. For what Jasper had never realized even back then as he had been immediately caught, was that the scientist who invented the formula had kept the formula in two parts, each in a separate vault.

So rushing back to the laboratory, Jasper broke into the second safe to steal the other half of the formula...Shortly before Wonder Woman arrived to investigate the crime!

Wonder Woman pursuing the cursing Jasper, followed him as he followed specific streets and avoiding others, escaping police and avoiding a traffic accident that would have slowed him down.

Wonder Woman pondering how he was seemingly predicting what would happen, spotted him holding up a camera to the sky to snap a picture of a traveling UFO which Jasper recalled a newspaper offering a pretty sum for the sighting. Seeing this, Wonder Woman declared that the only plausible explanation was that Jasper was somehow seeing the future!

Getting an idea, Wonder Woman began to chase Jasper and steering him in a specific direction, Wonder Woman tricked Jasper into climbing the prison wall and ending up back in prison for the villainous crime he comitted across time.

Day 441: Auton
Ruler of the Automatons from the planet Automato. Auton comes from a race of living robots born from a mechanical planet where robots naturally evolved on their techno organic world to become the sole living species.

Tragically there has been no evidence provided to indicate whether or not the Automatons are divided between factions, or if they have the ability to transform into Earth vehicles.

The automatons like any living species, requires specific minerals and supplements to subsist on for their natural survival. But tragedy struck when their world began to face a terrible shortage. For Duranium, the durable element which all robot life forms on their planet rely upon to replenish their bodies when becoming worn or damaged, was running out, threatening their world with extinction!

Auton as leader of their mechanical planet, declared that the only solution was to discover a source of Duranium and take it for the survival of every living thing on planet Automato! Thus constructing a duranium locator device and casting it into space, the automatons discovered the universes largest deposit of duranium lay on planet Jupiter.

Thus leading the armada of planet Automato, Auton invaded Jupiter, intending to wipe out the native inhabitants for the sake of preserving his own world. However being handily defeated by Wonder Woman, Auton was commanded by the power of the magic lass to explain his motivations.

Wonder Woman discovering this, asked Jodoh, the ruler of Jupiter if he was familiar with Duranium which Jodoh acknowledged was an element within the storm marches of red eye marsh. However he warned Wonder Woman that nobody had ventured from it alive in thousands of years, for the red eye marsh was caught in a perpetual storm which had been going on for longer than Jupiters history.

Wonder Woman commanding the automaton armada with her magic lasso to behave themselves, ventured into the marsh and to the shock and awe of Automato and Jovian alike, Wonder Woman returned, carrying enough Duranium to supply planet Automato for millions of years.

Lassoing Auton, Wonder Woman then commanded Automatos leader to help the Jovians recover from the terrible attack and to stop at nothing to make reparations for the terrible tragedies the Automatons committed upon the innocent people of Jupiter.

And thus so it was that Jupiter and Automato were saved thanks to Wonder Woman.

Day 442: Professor Luxo
The evil science genius, Professor Luxo was a criminal genius who swore to bring the world to its knees! Arch nemesis of Steve Trevor, Professor Luxo and Steve spent years playing cat and mouse until on one fateful day, Steve Trevor had tracked Professor Luxo down at the Tao Manao volcano, attempting to use his villainous invention to make every volcano in the world errupt at once.
Shooting Professor Luxo, the criminal genius seemingly perished on that fateful day.

However years later, Paula Von Gunther let out a telepathic cry for help to Wonder Woman who arrived to find a wounded Paula in her resurection machine, having mannaged to bring herself back to life at the moment of her death. Seeing Wonder Woman, Paula warned the Amazonian princess that Professor Luxo had broken into her lab and used Gerta Von Gunthers size changing ray.

Examining it, they found he had set it to its minimum size, shrinking himself down to a size so small, that an individual atom would seem like a world to him.

Unable to track him in the infinite vastness of the worlds countless atoms, Wonder Woman warned Paula to be careful and went to warn Steve about the dilemma.

At that moment, Steve was at the showing for the nuclear powered cruise ship which for security reasons, he had overseen in order to prevent sabotage.

But as the mighty vessel began to depart, the nuclear reactor suddenly exploded! Wonder Woman seeing this, lept into the ship and tearing out the nuclear engine, called her invisible plane and carried it off into space, using her indestructible bracelets to deflect all of the atomic energy radiating from it.

Steve Trevor abashed, was soon greeted by Wonder Woman who suspected that Professor Luxo was behind it.

But the problems did not stop there. For next was an atomic dam in detroit. And a sister ship in Detroit. Wonder Woman rescued everyone and no one was harmed, but it seemed every use of nuclear energy in the country was being sabotaged in such a way that any attempt to harness nuclear energy resulted in horrific detonations.

Wonder Woman certain that the problem lay in the atomic world, swore that she would put an end to Professor Luxo's villainous plot.

Day 443: Carra
One of the mole people of the subterranean mole kingdom, Carra now blessed with sight after Wonder Woman granted sight to the previously blind mole people race which diverged from humanity thousands of years ago, tended to the subterranean crops which the mole people subsisted upon.

Having trained moles to aid in tilling their fields, Carra was enjoying another relaxing day in the subterranean caverns of the underground when suddenly, the ceiling caved in and a man from the surface world fell below.

Carra worried for the poor mans health, hurriedly tended to him with the help of her fellow farmers, and after weeks of recovery, the man recovered. Introducing himself as Jaxo, he explained that he was a brilliant scientist of the surface world who was being persued by a gang of villains who were trying to steal his research. Imploring them to help him complete his machine, he out of nowhere declared he was madly in love with Carra and begged for her to help him complete his work.

Carra moved by this declaration, got the other farmers to help Jaxo in his plight and soon they had constructed a large technical machine using the blueprints Jaxo provided but for some reason could not read himself. A puzzling fact that Jaxo claimed was due to a head injury.

Jaxo urging them to hurry, declaring that his enemies would soon be upon him, Carra soon completed the device, only to be pushed aside by Jaxo who activated what would prove to be one of the most terrifying weapons in the world.

Day 444: Atomo
Leader of the atom army, a collection of atomic atoms which are desperately trying to fend off the hydrogen hordes led by the evil Professor Luxo, Atomo once sailor of the atomic reaction seas, was driven off like his fellow atoms when Professor Luxo arrived.

The villain riding upon a a mechanical pegasus, declared that he would destroy all atomic atoms and with his army of hydrogen, he would alter chemical reactions across the world with an element 'X' made from hydrogen isotopes to cause any mixing of chemicals across the globe to result in a thermonuclear explosion!

Atomo leading the surviving atoms into hiding while his atomic army attempted to fend off the hydrogen hordes thought himself to be doomed when who should arrive but Wonder Woman?! For shrinking herself and her invisible plane down to subatomic size, Wonder Woman journeyed through the atom worlds until she discovered Professor Luxo and his nefarious schemes!

Leaping from her invisible plane, Wonder Woman made her way through the countless number of hydrogen fiends which Atomo attempted to fend off. Making her way to the heart of Professor Luxo's forces and his concoction of element x, Wonder Woman leaped high into the air, catching the vial and lasso'd Professor Luxo in one fell swoop. Commanding him to land, she used the magic lasso to command Professor Luxo's surrender and to have his hydrogen horde stand down.

With Professor Luxo captured at last, Wonder Woman with the help of Atomo worked to restore the natural order of physics to the atom worlds and with it, chemical reactions were saved from the villainous mechanations of Professor Luxo, a villain who sought to change physics itself in order to further his villainous scheme for world domination.

Day 445: Snow Candi
An Eskimo woman hailing from the country of Greenland, Snow Candi despite being Inuit happens to have bright red hair, a full frame, and just so happens to look identical to Etta Candy.

Married with a small child, Snow Candi has a pet seal and lives in a luxurious four story mansion made out of snow. Subsisting on nothing but candied fish day in and day out due to a sweet tooth which bears an unusual similarity to someone whome she happens to strongly resemble.

During one of Etta Candys adventures around the world with the Holliday girls, she found herself in Greenland where she found herself being tackled by a small child who insisted Etta was her mother! Baffled by this, Etta gave the child sweets while attempting to figure out whom the wee one belonged to, and soon adventured all around the town.

Meanwhile the Holliday girls Etta had been traveling with lost sight of Etta and soon found themselves following Snow, who looking for her child, was baffled to find a collection of college students following her.

With Snow and Etta traveling around town, the two of them eventually met where the wee child first lost sight of her mother, and the two soon became fast friends with the customary exchange of favorite sweets which is a universal tradition amongst sweet lovers.
