Year of Wonder Woman

Day 224: Aknaten

Ancient pharaoh of Egypt four thousand years ago, Aknaten was a wise abd brilliant ruler who lead Egypt into its golden age of prosperity. He witnessed the raising of pyramids, he freely diverted the Nile for the peoples benefit, and knew secrets of life and death which are a mystery to the modern world.

The greatest secret he holds however is that the pyramids were really built by...ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS! Specifically Egyptians, because they were also astronauts. And had the pyramids constructed through the use of their automoton robots which served their every whim. For in truth, the Egyptians were a brilliant people whose technological prowess made anything possible!

But an unexplained disaster lead to an era of decline as their technology became lost and their culture decayed, with little trace left of its former glory.

Professor Chemico hearing tales of Aknatens rule, hunted down his tomb in the valley of kings and worked to excavate it. But when he opened the sarcophagus of Pharaoh Aknaten, Professor Chemico was shocked to discover...That it was empty!

For in truth, Aknaten had developed a secret spice which granted him and his subjects immortality! Using the egyptian super computer, Aknaten was able to view all events throughout the world including the thoughts of mortal man. And finding Chemico desecrating his tomb, Aknaten hatched upon an evil scheme.

Using his Egyptian super computer to broadcast mental signals, Aknaten took control of Chemicos mind! Reading his thoughts, Aknaten bid Chemico to enter a secret chamber in the pyramid which happened to be a fully stocked chemical lab, and begin concocting his aeropyramic gas! The dangerous invention of Professor Chemicos which causes the air to catch fire and burn until the oxygen has been depleted!

For Aknaten planned to use another one of his inventions for creating oxygen to restore the world after civilization has collapsed, and then restore Egypt to its former glory!

But Aknaten did not count on Professor Ainchent coming in search of Professor Chemico. Both in an effort to save a friend and so he could show up his rival in archeology. And accompanying him were Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls Roberta Strong, Glamora Treat, and of course Etta Candy.

So it was that the group entered the pyramid in search of the lost Professor Chemico. But when they entered the burial room of Aknaten, they were beset upon by a large bird with the head of a man! Declaring itself to be the Ka of Aknaten, it stated that it was there to ferry Aknatens soul to the next world. Chasing the group through the pyramid, Wonder Woman and the others fell through a trap door which landed them on a boat beneath the pyramid, which shooting down a canal, stopped at the secret laboratory of the Pharaoh Aknaten and his servants!

Aknaten boasted of his plans and gloated that he who rules the spice of immortality rules the universe!

Wonder Woman, realizing the source of the pharaohs power lay in his super computer, picked up the massive device which was the size of a large truck, and smashed it, destroying the pharaoh's means of mind controlling Chemico, and erasing the modern empires.

With his technology destroyed, Aknaten declared woefully that it would be impossible to restore Egypt to its former glory now, and said he was ready to journey on to the new world. Thus the Ka of Aknaten swooped down, having arranged Wonder Womans arrival, and in a blinding flash of light, Aknaten and his servants vanished. And back in the tomb, they would find the mummified body of Aknaten, surrounded by the clay statues of servants who would serve him in the afterlife.

Wonder Woman could not help but muse that there were things that were a mystery even to the Amazons, and collecting Professor Chemico, they left the tomb of Aknaten to its mysteries.

Day 225: Brutus Close

Wealthy millionaire game hunter, Brutus Close is a man whose one and only concern is for his image and publicity. Wanting nothing more in life than to be famous and popular, Brutus invests his entire fortune into making himself look good. He bought a fancy manor to wow guests, Decorated the entry way, the sstudy, and the ballroom to the highest of class.

But beyond these, he had scant any furniture at all, bought the cheapest of foods, and sleeps on the floor because everything in his life is built towards making himself look good.


He puts on a public face as an amazing man with integrity who travels the world hunting the rarest of prey. Has a reputation as a philanthropist and for being humble in the face of praise.

In reality however, Brutus Close is a stingy jerk who harasses his wife for not doing more to make him look good, has not given a dollar to anyone in his life, and any money that isn't spent on building up his image goes to bribing the press to exalt and gab about how amazing he is. This includes money for services. Many a hire have quite upon realizing that Brutus never pays people for their work.

He claims to travel the world going after the most dangerous of game when in reality he pays people to hunt and tranquilize animals for him to kill.

He brags about how well off his wife is despite the fact that she lives on a diet of turnips and has to spend most of her time wearing rags so she does not soil the public dress he provides her.

Brutus Close is a reprehensible individual who deserves whatever comes to him.

Day 226: Sinestra
A villainous mercenary spy that went into hiding and took on a new life, Sinestra became known as the Purple Priestess, claiming to serve the goddess Zultura and making a living selling fraudulent 'miracle cures' which did nothing, moving on before authorities could catch her.

When Etta Candy cured all disease however, Sinestra was forced to find a new racket. So she journeyed to the country of Zarikan. A nation famous for its use of wind energy to power the entire country, and to pump water from the underground lakes, making Zarikan a prosperous and self sufficient nation which was free of polution. It also happened to be a nation where the religion of Zultura was the primary faith.

Hiring some muscle, The purple priestess set up a secret lair beneath the city and selectivly poisoning water as it was pumped out from the underground, she would appear declaring that it was a sign of the goddess's displeasure, and that she would accept offerings in Zulturas name to pacify her.

King Yuka, ruler of Zarikan fearing for his people agreed to these demands and paid up, and soon was being milked regularly with threat of his people falling ill driving him.
But Sinestra being greedy wanted more. Kidnapping his daughter Princess Allura, Sinestra declared that King Yuka must give her the kingdom if he wanted his daughter returned.

Beside himself with woe, Yuka mourned and wondered what he should do. Etta Candy on a field trip to Zarikan to study the nations wind energy found out about this and contacted Wonder Woman who promptly began to investigate! By luck Wonder Woman upon being offered a drink of water noticed it was poisoned and searching the underground, discovering Sinestras lair!

The Purple Priestess escaping into a temple of Zultura, saw the Amazon coming and attempted to topple a statue of the goddess upon her and the Holliday girls, only for the statue to come to life and move aside, revealing Sinestras hiding place! Caught within the magic lasso, Sinestra was wisked away back to Reform Island where she would go on to be rehabilitated, with Princess Allura saved and the nation of Zarikan at peace once more.

Day 227: Nina Close
Wife of Brutus Close, Nina was a brilliant chemist who had the interest of men the world round. When Brutus came to her door and charmed her, Nina thought it was love, not realizing that Brutus was simply courting her because of her popularity and he wanted to show her off as a trophy, treating their marriage as an 'achievement' in his efforts to further his own popularity.

Living a life of squalor and misery, Nina Close eventually snapped from the constant strain of near starvation and came upon an idea. Dressing herself up in a costume, Nina Close took on the persona of 'The Mask' and breaking into his room at the dead of night, she forced on him a muzzle which she had sown into it several vials of sulfuric acid. Telling him that the acid would kill him if he tried to remove it, she demanded one hundred million dollars from him or else he would die of starvation.

Making her escape, Nina left behind a collection of clues pinning the crime on a famous explorer whom Brutus had hired. Fancily framing the famous Fancy Framer.
However Wonder Woman knowing Fancy Framer was off on an expedition stepped forward to defend Fancys name.

Outraged that her plan was being foiled by Wonder Woman, Nina then disguised herself as Wonder Woman herself and breaking into the Holliday college, she bound several of the Holliday girls in her sulferic masks and holding a hostage, she forced them to lead her to Wonder Womans invisible plane.

Using the invisible plane, Nina attempted to steal off with the money at the drop off point and fly off with none the wiser. Plotting to steal the money and leave her husband to die of either starvation or acidic melting!

However what Nina did not count on was that the Invisible Plane had a telepathic auto pilot installed!

Using this, Wonder Woman simply telepathically commanded the plane to fly back to her and lasso'd the false Wonder Woman as she tried to escape.

Revealing Nina Close to be the culprit and commanding her to remove the masks, Wonder Woman took Nina with her back to Reform Island where she could seek professional help.

As for Brutus, he was horrified to discover just how negative an impact his toxic behavior had on others and realizing how loathsome he was, he began investing his money into genuinly helping others. Forsaking his public image, he focused instead on using his fortune to improve the quality of mental health across the nation.

Day 228: Thomas Zenophan Yerses

Better known by the nickname 'Teasy' which is a play on his initials T.Z.Y, Teasy is an orphaned scamp who was notorious for his penchant for childish mischief and his tendency to troll others with his over enthusiastic pranks.

From putting glue on seats to splashing mud puddles on people in their formal wear, Teasy had no restraint for his trouble making tendencies.

Despite that however, Teasy was also known for his blunt honesty. He will tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. He will immediately admit to his mischief, he will make no efforts to deny his ill doings.

So in the care of Mrs Grimfall of the Grimfall orphanage, Teasy was trained alongside his fellow orphans in the art of salesmanship! Thus during the annual orphan fairs when aspiring mothers would browse the merchandise, they would be able to pitch themselves and get good homes based on their brilliant mercantile savvy.

However due to Teasys unwavering honesty all he can do is honestly tell people that he is a prankster who causes trouble.

As fortune would have it, Wonder Woman was taking her friend Mrs Alton Dearfield to the orphan fair to browse when she spotted Teasy. Recognizing the value of such an honest orphan, She introduces Alton to Teasy and getting the two talking, they soon hit it off, with Teasy getting a good home.

Teasy would go on to become quite at home with the Dearfields and bonding, the husband, wife and their new darling boy would become a family, happy as can be.

Day 229: Angus Richman

Wealthy rich man who made his living as a financial consultant, Angus Richman is an easily excitable fellow with a bad heart. Living in the Tycoon gentlemens club, an exclusive club that caters to the rich and male members of society, Angus has not set foot from the building in twenty years, never going further than the lounge on the first floor.

One day, Angus was returning to his room after enjoying a game of poker when he saw a sight which terrified the man to his core! A tiger was in his room!....Standing upright and vacuuming. Screaming in terror, Angus ran downstairs, screaming for help and soon returning with some of the employees, they burst into the room to find it...Empty, with nothing in sight.

Being laughed at for what was declared a prank by the others, Angus sighed and sat on his bed, rubbing his head, feeling a bit ill. Accepting a serving tray containing a glass of water and a supplement to help him calm down, Angus breathed a sigh of relief and looked up....To see the server was a tiger!

Screaming, Angus tried to jump out the window, only to be grabbed by the tiger and pulled back into the room just as he was about to leap four stories down to the ground below! Angus called for help but when someone arrived, Angus was the only one in the room they saw.

This would continue day after day with Angus living a life of constant terror as the tiger found its way into his life. Angus would awaken to find it in bed with him. Dusting, making the bed, serving Angus food, and other such terrifying acts of terror.

Eventually Angus so panicked, would leave the gentlemens club for the first time, heading for the office of his good friend Steve Trevor. Angus would try to explain his problem, but Steve looked at Angus as though he had lost his mind. Then Angus screamed, seeing a tiger poking its head out of the window.


Steve turned to look and saw nothing there. He told Angus that he was just imagining things and that it was impossible for a tiger to be looking through the windows at ten stories off the ground, but the rattled Angus Richman was to panicked and ran from the office.

With Steve unable to help him, Angus planned to hurry home, lock his doors and hide under the covers until the tiger stopped bothering him. So being driven back to the Tycoon Gentlemens club, he got out about to thank his driver...When he realized the tiger had been driving the car!

Screaming, Angus ran into his room and locked the door...Only to turn and find the tiger already in the room, offering him a cup of tea!

Fainting on the spot and waking up in bed, Angus began to cry.

This would go on for thirty days. And on the thirtieth the tiger would appear before Angus, with another tiger next to him! Grabbing Angus by the arms, the pair carried him out of the gentlemens club kicking and screaming, then drove him out to the country despite Angus's protests.

Arriving at Tropica manor, the tigers lead Angus inside where he was met by the famous animal tamer, Tigra Tropica.

She explained that she had come up with a brilliant monetary investment. Tiger butlers! She trained tigers in the art of servitude for the rich and wealthy who can pay for it. And in the art of ninjitsu since the best servants are those who operate unseen by guests.

Not being quite clear how advertising worked, Mrs Tigra Tropica thought the best way to attract prospective clients was through a thirty day free trial. Confident of her tigers talents and abilities, she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that nobody could help but want a tiger butler!

At this point, Angus screamed in denial, declaring that their tigers, and that he is certain they will eat him if given the chance.


Tigra trying to be reasonable, started by Pointing out that humans are horrible untrustworthy creatures who steal from others, and that tigers like all in the animal kingdom lacked such evil vices. She explained that her tiger butlers used their strippend to buy meat at the supermarket, and that they are all well mannered and courteous.

Angus though hyper ventilating, screamed that they are tigers and that they will eat him!

Tigra vexed by this, frustrated by how unreasonable Angus was being and hurting for money after spending a small fortune on a bunch of tigers and giving them both butler and ninjitsu lessons.

So pressing several nerve centers behind the ears, she brought Angus under a state of hypnosis. In this suggestible state, she convinced Angus that he was not afraid of tigers and that he had nothing to fear from tigers.

Once he is out of the trance, Angus feels much relief and calm, his irrational fear of tigers cured. So listening to Tigra in a far more agreeable state, Angus drew out a check for sixty thousand dollars, and purchased two tiger butlers to serve him.

However due to a freak occurrence of the most tragic sort, not a day later, Angus sadly died of a heart attack due to his ticky heart.

Day 230: Doctor Dearfield

Husband of Alton Dearfield, Dr. Doctor Dearfield is an atomic scientist who after years of research, hit upon an amazing discovery!

He invented the 'atom neutralizing formula' A concoction that renders atomic radiation inert. Using his concoction, the disposal of nuclear waste would be made effortless, and the dangers of radiation would be greatly reduced.

However due to a number of unscrupulous nare do wells trying to get their hands on his brilliant concoction, Doctor Dearfield hatched upon an elaborate scheme to keep it safe!

Having his wife Alton hide the formula in a safe in their house, he later orders his assistant Mal Stone to replace it with a phony. Then he asks his adopted son Teasy to take a book of matches and play with fire in his study.

The house catching fire, Dr. Doctor Dearfield waits as criminals take the opportunity to come and steal the formula and sure enough, the yellow mask gang arrives. Lead by Tirza, mistress of thievery, her gang goes to rob the safe but finding the papers gone, kidnaps Mrs Dearfield to question her. Finding out the safe was in fact where the formula was, Tirza turns around and has the doctors assistant, Mal Stone kidnapped and from him they find out that the formula was replaced. Thus stealing the real formula from him, they hurriedly begin to concoct it, only to cause an explosion of florescent smoke that colors the sky.

Meanwhile Teasy having been hunting for his lost mother sees the smoke and uses a pay phone to call Diana Prince to call Wonder Woman to tell her about the villains secret hideout.

Soon Wonder Woman had rescued Teasys mother, the assistant Mal Stone and captured the criminals.

But the formula? Well it turned out that Doctor Dearfield had in fact never written the formula down, knowing it would be stolen and arranged for all of those pointlessly elaborate steps to confuse criminals long enough for him to sell the real formula.

So it was that the world attained a means of cleanly dealing with toxic waste, making nuclear reactors clean energy source.

Day 231: Tigra Tropica

Originally little more than a simple child of famed explorers who explored the Amazon. Her parents dying in a gorilla attack, the young child would be taken in and raised by tigers as one of their own.

Years later this queen of the jungle would be discovered by an explorer and the two falling in love, Tigra would travel with him back to civilization and learn the ways of the human world once more.

Finding their culture and lifestyle amazing but the people themselves atrocious, Tigra only had eyes for her love, little more than tolerating other humans. Eventually marrying and taking on the surname of Tropica, Tigra would begin traveling the world, soon making a name for herself as a great explorer in her own right, and a famous animal tamer whose raport with animals was legendary.


For Tigra was able to train animals to do whatever she wanted, even able to teach them how to read and do math.

When Tigras husband died of natural causes, she was beside herself with grief and refusing to reach out to other humans, Tigra began investing the vast fortune she had to turn her husbands land into an animal preserve, shipping in animals from across the world, most especially tigers, and turning to them for companionship.

However keeping a plethora of animals like this was expensive and Tigras finances were dwindling fast. Not wanting to send the animals away, she talked with everyone and hitched a brilliant scheme. She would train the tigers to serve as butlers, and sell their services to the rich and wealthy for millions!

The tigers agreed and thus Tigra did her upsmost to train them in the butlery arts of ninjitsu and proper etiquette.

Once she was done, Tigra began sending tigers off to various wealthy men of the world for thirty day free periods, confident that she would rake in quite a bundle.

And sure enough she did. After persuading Angus Richman to buy two of her tiger butlers, Tigra was carefree.

That is until the two tigers returned to her home, looking frantic. Using the art of pantomime to communicate as Tigra taught them, she soon found out that Angus died of a heart attack.

Having seen him recently and just depositing millions of dollars into her account, Tigra was convinced this looked suspicious and feared police would suspect foul play.

Not trusting humans to not jump to conclusions, Tigra ordered the tigers to hurry back to his home, clean the place and destroy all evidence that they were there!

So it was that the tigers hurried back, only to find Steve Trevor leaning over the body.

Panicking, one of the tigers did the only sensible thing he could think of, and bashed Steve Trevor unconscious with a frying pan.

Dragging the unconscious Steve back to Tigra, the widow is now panicking because it looks like she
not only killed Angus, but attacked Steve to hide evidence!

Frantic and not in her right mind, Tigra plans to feed Steve to the tigers in order to hide the evidence when who should arrive but Wonder Woman to rescue Steve!

Tigra attempts to control Wonder Womans mind by manipulating pressure points, but to no avail and then attempts to escape on the back of one of her tigers, only to be lasso'd by Wonder Woman.

Declared guilty of attempted murder by Wonder Woman, Tigra is taken to Reform Island. Having learned a harsh lesson about hiding evidence and how to react under pressure.

As for what happened to the tigers and other animals, I like to assume the tiger butlers went on to hire out their services as they had been trained, and used the profits to maintain the animal preserve which Tigra Tropica founded.

Day 232: Speeda

One day when flying the Holliday girls off to visit Asia, Wonder Womans invisible plane was struck by lightning! Scrambling the computers auto pilot, the plane immediently took off into outer space while Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls were enwrapped in a game of cards. By the time they realized the problem it was to late and they were deep in space! Putting on space suits to protect themselves, they found the invisible plane heading straight for planet mercury!

However much to their surprise when they neared the planet, they found it surrounded by a strange cloud of dust which made the planet appear much smaller than it was in reality. As they neared Mercury, they found it was in fact twice the size of the Earth, with its atmosphere distorting visual examination to make the planet appear baren and unpopulated.

Entering the atmosphere, they found the heavy dust clouds perpetually covering the planet put it in a constant night, lowering the temperature so that it was possible to live on it.

Upon entering the atmosphere, they were amazed by the sight of the locals. Wearing togas, everyone was thirty feet tall and wore winged sandals and winged helmets, zipping around at the speed of sound.

This was when they were spotted by Speeda, chief of Mercurian police. Keeper of the peace, Speeda was struck by the sight of the glass plane hurtling through the atmosphere, full of moving doll people. So pulling out a burlap sack, she caught the plane and its contents before it could reach the ground, and carried it off to prison for disturbing the peace.

With Wonder Woman trapped in a bird cage, she was questioned by Speeda and accused of being an alien spy, sent to destroy their way of life and steal their sandals of speedy flight and helmets of balance which allowed them to perform acts of speed that outpace any being on Earth.

Despite Wonder Womans explanations, Speeda was suspicious by nature and as the Mercurians were rather closed off from the galactic community, this was their first known encounter with alien life. So it was that Speeda was determined to keep Wonder Woman jailed until she could pass Diana and her friends off to her superiors and wash her hands of the whole problem like any government official with a problem they didn't know how to deal with..

Day 233: Rainbow and Stardust

Rainbow was an ebony black stallion living in the wilds of the far north until he was discovered by a traveling circus. Lured in and convinced to join them, Rainbow soon became their star attraction.

Being very clever, Rainbow soon learned how to read, solve puzzles, untie knots, and learned the martial art of karate. Skills which Rainbow would display before a clamoring audience who were taken with his amazing displays and showman ship as he would untie bound acrobats, karate chop boards into pieces and effortlessly disarm gunmen to the amazement of spectators.

One day however as the show was settled down in Texas, a white mare approached the circus, getting Rainbows attention. The brilliant horse smitten by her beauty, broke free of his cage and without looking back, Rainbow ran off with her, much to the woe of the circus folk.

Years would pass and the mare would soon earn the name of Stardust, and build up a reputation with her mate. They would travel across Texas fighting crime, dueling cattle rustlers, and rescuing people in danger without a moments thought for their own safety! They were superheroes who did it in the name of justice!

They would soon come to lead a herd of wild horses who aided them in their efforts to keep the peace, having gained a family.

The Candy using their masterful talent with taming equines, earned the trust of Stardust and Rainbow through the offering of candy, the greatest of peace makers!

And this lead to a great deal of cooperation between the Bar-L ranch and the equestrian superheroes.


Five years later, Wonder Woman was visiting the ranch with her friend Etta when bandits arrived, making off with the cattle!

The candys and Wonder Woman split up in search of them, only for Hard Candy to be the one to find the nare do wells. Attempting to aprehend them himself, the cattle rustlers pulled a gun and shot at Hard Candy, only for Rainbow to arrive and leap into the bullets path!

In the confusion, the cattle rustlers kidnapped Stardust and ran off with her. With Hard Candy trying to tend to Rainbows wound, he was unaware of the cougar sneaking up on him until the beast had lept upon Hard Candys back!

A desperate struggle ensued as the great cat went for the kill, when Rainbow with a great kick sent the cougar reeling!

Thus a great duel came about between the wounded karate and the natural predator. A fight in which Rainbow was the victor. Not long after however, Rainbow collapsed alongside an unconscious Hard Candy, losing consciousness.

Fortunately before this could turn tragic, Wonder Woman arrived with her newest invention! Purple healing salve! For Wonder Woman invented a salve which could soak up energy from the purple healing rays, applying the same effect upon whatever she spread the cream upon!

Healing the pair, Wonder Woman, Hard Candy and Rainbow joined forces and going after the cattle rustlers, they were able to capture the criminal lot and rescue Rainbows one true love, reuniting Stardust and Rainbow so they may continue their stunning adventures!

Day 234: Queen Celerita

Former chief scientist of the giant folk of Mercury, Celerita is one of the brilliant minds behind their invention of winged sandals of super speed and flight, and winged helmets of balance which allow them to remain flying by their feet without breaking something.

Along with other inventions such as mercury confinement metal, which becomes buruning hot when someone attempts to break it apart. And fire spears which are basically fancy self heating fire pokers.

The ever accelerating Celerita had just completed here latest invention, a radio receiver which would allow the receiving of broadcasts from other planets and translate those signals into the native Mercurian language. And sure enough, it works!

The first signals it picks up is an Earth broadcast by a male announcer describing what he imagines to be the everyday life of a middle class family. Describing children who go to school, men who spend all their day toiling at work, and women who sit around the house doing nothing.

This amazed Celerita who was puzzled how such a society would function. For on Mercury, every task is shared evenly between genders and no job or duty is gendered. Everyone is paid equally and everyone does their own share of the work without cause or fuss with the very concept of sexual discrimination being foreign to them. A society without political leaders as everyone was focused solely on things to better the society as a whole.

But hearing of this idea of a society where women did not do anything and left all the work to the men captivated Celerita and getting together several other women of Mercury and playing the broadcast to them as well, this concept grew on them.

So it was that conspiring, they stole the winged sandals and helmets of the male half of the population, put them in chains and enslaved the men to serve them, while the women ate grapes and lounged on comfortable love seats.

So when Wonder Woman arrived, Celerita feared that she was the first of an alien invasion sent to destroy their way of life! She ordered Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls to be put in teeny tiny chains (by Mercurian standards.) And be forced to toil and work.

Wonder Woman unable to break free of her restraints due to their volitile nature, used telepathy to contact the nearest planet for help!

Queen Desira, the fairy queen of Venus heard Wonder Womans call for help and leading a small squadron of fairies, they flew through space itself to the planet Mercury and using their nets of unbreakable metal, they restrained the guards holding the Holliday girls prisoner, and freed them!

When Celerita tried to stop Wonder Woman, Diana despite her size was able to catch the mercury woman in an arm lock and pin her to the ground.

Celerita shocked by this, was baffled how Wonder Woman so easily bested her and proclaimed that Wonder Woman must be a goddess. Diana however disputed this and having a suspicion, she asked Celerita when the last time was that she exercised or did any work.

Celerita confessed that she had not done much of anything since declaring herself queen, and Wonder Woman spotting a nearby mountain, challenged Queen Celerita to lift it.
Gawking, Celerita declared that she could move a hundred such mountains in her sleep and thus the twenty foot tall woman walked over to it and trying to lift it with one hand, gawked to find herself unable and was soon straining to lift it with two hands!

Wonder Woman seeing Celeritas weakness explained to the Mercurian that the broadcast she had heard was lies perpetuated by fools who underestimate womens true abilities, and that by sitting around doing nothing, she was out of shape and incapable of the wonders she was truly capable of.

Celerita seeing the light, apologized to Wonder Woman and returned the invisible plane to Diana who got a tow back to Earth from Queen Desira.

And so it was after freeing the men of Mercury and apologizing for the whole matter, Mercury soon returned to its society of gender equality, never again to be tempted by the lifestyles of other planets.

Day 235: Zara

Middle eastern woman possessing one of the greatest minds in the chemistry field of science, Zara started life as a humble farm girl until her father sold her into slavery to a wealthy chemist.

Forced into a life of servitude, Zara served the foul man and as years passed, she secretly studied his works, becoming a talented chemist in her own right, before murdering him through the use of a special chemical compound she deviced which would ignite in the presence of stomach acid and cause the victim to burn alive from the inside out.

Freed from slavery, Zara sought out her father to find he was living a life of luxery after selling her into slavery and outraged, she murdered him as well. Despising men of power who so effortlessly destroy the lives of others, and the society which allows such men to exist, Zara swore that she would bring it all crashing down and from the ashes, build a new world order in her image.

Zara is the self proclaimed greatest fire chemist in all the world and indeed, Zara does things with fire that boggle the scientific community.

She invented chemical mixtures which ignite in response to sound waves, allowing her to cause walls to instantly catch fire, burning messages into the surface without leaving a trace of her method.

She developed a chemical fire which will not burn organic materials but will cause inorganics to grow steadily hotter to the point that they will become molten.

Zara has created walls of fire that reach twenty feet into the air and burn for days without the use of fuel.

And has discovered a means of creating mirages exactly to her specifications so that they exist more as holograms which even photography can be fooled by.

Aside from her talents as a chemist, Zara is also a marvel on horse back, and boasts great skill with both lance and dagger. Having even fashioned an armor of weapons coated in her ever burning fire which will not burn the blade but will catch fire anything they strike.

Zara is a fierce and angry soul whose heart burns for vengence against the whole world which she wants to see burn for the injustice which she has suffered.

Day 236: Helene Armstrong

Daughter of senator Armstrong and student at the Holliday college, Helene was a brilliant young woman who had a bright future ahead of her...Until one fateful day her arm suddenly came ablaze with a fire that did not burn, leaving in its place detailed instructions written on her arm.


A moment later, a floating ball of fire appeared before her and a face made from flame spoke to her, declaring that she must follow those instructions and joined the cult of the crimson flame or perish in a burning death!

Frightened, Helene obeyed, keeping it to herself as she went to their secret meetings and soon became a member. Using her resources to aid their cause and grow their numbers in the name of the all powerful consumer.

For unbeknownst to Helene who believed something supernatural was at work, she was little more than a pawn in Zara's scheme for revenge!

For in a twisted form of irony, Zara's plan to take her revenge on the rulers of the world and in the process destroy the modern society which had her enslaved, involved enslaving the very children of those in power to serve the phony cult which she created to replace the governments of the world.

And when those children were wholly hers, Zara would use chemical compounds to destroy those in power.

Thus Zaras path to conquest could be counted by the number of people who suffered sudden breakdowns.

Igar Glamour, the beautiful debutante who warned against the cult of the crimson flame, only to be left a nervous wreck, unable to eat or sleep without sedation.

J.P Moncrief who suffered a severe case of neuritis shortly before Zara took over T.D.V

Governor Halstead who came down with agrophobia and a fear of people, confining himself to his home and shooting at one who came near.

Mrs Oppulant Cummings, a social leader who one day fell into a psychopathic fever and has yet to recover.

Kurtic K. Comak who suffered a nervous breakdown and became catatonic.

And finally Senator Armstrong himself who suffered a severe heart attack and was left in a coma.

One by one, those who opposed Zara were taken down one after another. Their children enslaved to the cause of 'the priestess of the purple flame' Which is her official title in her false cult.

When Helene found out about her father she risked her life to tell Wonder Woman, only to be captured and imprisoned by Zara shortly after in the 'crystal temple of the purple flame' which was carefully guarded by an army armed with fire spears.

When Wonder Woman broke in to rescue Helen with Etta and Steve by her side, the mighty heroine was able to fend off the army with its fire spears, only to fall to the odorless knock out gas which emanated from the burning flames of the temples entry hall.

When Wonder Woman awoke, she found herself bound, Etta and Steve mannaging to escape with the aid of Dianas last concious effort.

Finding herself on a chopping block, she looks up to see Zara handing Helene a sword.

Zara declares that just as she had been forced to do when she was enslaved, Helene must choose between killing Wonder Woman and proving her loyalty to the cult, or being killed herself.

Helene, refusing to take a life even at the cost of her life refused and cast the sword away.

In response, a furious Zara raised her own sword to strike down Helene, only for Steve to leap in the way of the sword to protect the young girl!

But before a furious Zara could land that fatal blow upon either Helene or Steve, Etta Candy had grabbed the discarded sword, sliced through the steel manacles binding Wonder Woman!

Leaping forward, Diana caught the sword between her teeth and with a turn of her head, jerked it out of Zaras grasp! Binding Zara with the magic lasso, Wonder Woman commanded Zara to command her cultists to surrender!

With that, Zara the priestess of the purple flame, and the cult of the crimson flame were no more, with Helene at last saved!

So it was that Wonder Woman took Zara back to reform island for rehabilitation in the hopes that Zara could be redeemed and use her scientific mind for good.

Day 237: Robot Diana Prince

One day, a dilemma came to Wonder Woman. For Diana Prince was assigned to grant an award to Wonder Woman before thousands of people for her service towards mankind.

The problem with this being, that Wonder Woman and Diana Prince were secretly the same person. So brainstorming between them, Diana, Hippolyta, Mala, and Paula Von Gunther came up with a brilliant solution!

Wonder Woman traveling to mount Olympus, picked up the mountain and dug out some animating clay. Then setting the mountain back down gently, she flew back to Paradise Island where the others were waiting with the other steps of the plan. While Hippolyta crafted a perfect likeness of her daughter from clay, Paula Von Gunther designed a machine which would copy Wonder Womans brain waves, allowing the robot to come to life whenever Diana was not using her secret identity!

Hollowing out the head of the clay statue, they placed in the computer containing Wonder Womans brain waves, and remolded the head of the statue so that it left no trace. And finally, Mala placed it within the Amazonian electronic animator, a device of the Amazons brilliant design which allows for the animating of clay! Unfortunately this machine could not create sapient and learning beings from clay as Aphrodite is wont to do, but combined with Paulas brain wave projector, they were able to create a reverse-cyborg which would activate when Wonder Woman was off saving the day, so that Diana Prince could continue her everyday work.

This is one of those awesome concepts that I am baffled by its lack of use. If I had my way, the depowered era would have really been about Robot Diana Prince stepping up to become a hero.

Day 238: Prime Minister Blizzard

Regent of the kingdom known as Iceburg land, Blizzard like all of the nations residents was a being made from ice and snow. With the males known as icicle men and the females called snow women.

Serving as regent until Princess Snowina came of age and was crowned queen, Prime Minister Blizzard put on a facade as a well meaning man with the best of intentions for Snowina and for Iceburg land. In reality however, Blizzard wanted nothing less than Iceburg land and the world under his rule forever!

However his goal for conquest were outweighed by his desire to survive. Something which became a priority when the Iceburg land invention of the thought recorder! Due to thoughts existing as electrical currents which travel throughout the world at a constant rate, the magnetic poles of the Earth draw all thoughts to them.

So it was that Prime Minister Blizzard discovered Professor Chemicos latest invention, the climeate changer machine! A powerful machine which can freely inject unlimited ammounts of carbon monoxide into the planets atmosphere to warm the planet, or instantly absorb carbon monoxide back into the machine to cool it, allowing the machine to freely change the worlds temperatures.

Having the best of intentions, Professor Chemico invented his latest break through in the hopes that it would make farming easier in the ice locked nations of the world.

Prime Minister Blizzard being made from ice and snow like the rest of his fellow citizens of the artic nation of Iceburg land were in quite a panic. If Chemico activated his machine, it would lead to their deaths!

As luck would have it, Chemico announced that he would take his invention to the north pole to try it out, melting the north pole in the process.

Prime Minister Blizzard convincing Princess Snowina to grant him use of the royal guard, takes a racing glacier out to intercept the vessel carrying the climate changer machine.

Unnoticed thanks to their icy nature, the ice soldiers board the vessel, hook it to an ice crane using ice cables, and have it lifted off the ship and back onto their glacier.

Blizzard wanting to teach Chemico a lesson, uses the machine to freeze the ocean around the ship, icelocking the freighter.

Making their escape before Wonder Woman could arrive with an Amazonian scythe the size of the ship itself, Prime Minister Blizzard returns to Iceburg land with a secret plan. He would ignore Princess Snowinas orders to destroy the device and instead use it...To freeze the world and claim it for the snow people ever more!

And so it was that he began construction of a mighty war glacier with which to ravage the world. All thanks to Professor Chemicos climate changer machine.

Day 239: Queen Supreema

Absolute ruler of the red planet, Queen Supreema is one of the 'golden women' whose bodies are comprised of gold which eternally glitters and shines. Her planet simply known as the red planet, is a huge gas giant the size of Jupiter, but with an eternally crimson red hue. T

his is due to the planets atmosphere being comprised of a unique pressurized gas which makes anything within its atmosphere able to swim around in the soupy mist as though it was water.

Queen Supreema is one of the many rulers within the Interplanetary Peace Organization. A far reaching organization of peace which was formed in an effort to promote intergalactic cooperation. They mediate disputes between worlds, ensure a forum where all planets have an equel voice, and strive to maintain peace and preserve basic sentient rights.


Based on planet Pacifico, the Interplanetary Peace Organization performs many duties from mediating disputes, to economic assistance, to saving planets from disasters of epic proportions with aid and relief.

Queen Supreema, dedicated to the vision that the Interplanetary Peace Organization represents, volunteered her entire planet to serve as the peace keeping arm of the organization. Using the latest in space technologies, Queen Supreema had an engine installed in the planets core, allowing the red planet to freely travel the universe.

Her planets entire population declaring that they would join their queen in this effort to keep the peace, 2/3rds of the population went on to receive law enforcement training and were granted paralysis guns in order to apprehend criminals.

Queen Supreema is the greatest voice for law in the galaxy and even the most dangerous of criminals is hard pressed to withstand her. Able to harness the Red Planets gravitational waves, she can fly up to a planet and force it into a prepetual orbit around the red planet. And even tweak the gravitational effect into a tunnel so that travel from the targeted planet is only possible to and from the red planet itself.

She possesses the Vacuumator. A powerful super vacuum which can pluck a kitten floating in space, pulling it to their world. Or draw in the entire population of criminal planet, depositing them in the prison of the golden people.

Thus Queen Supreema of the intergalactic police in service to the Interplanetary Peace Organization based out of planet Pacifico protects the peace and ensures a safe universe.

Day 240: Annette Dubois

Adopted daughter of Baron Dubois of Barania, a french barony on the border of France during the 1500s, Annette lived a happy life as her fathered doted daughter. She would go on to fall in love with the captain of the guard, and their romance would be approved of by the Baron who trusted Sir Philippe with his daughters safety.

Tragedy struck one day however when an assassin attempted to take the life of King Francis. Baron Dubois sacrificing himself in the name of the king, died to protect Lord Francis from a deadly poisoned arrow.

Willing his barony to Sir Philippe upon the wedding between Philippe and his daughter, Annette was engaged and soon to be married to her one true love, when tragedy struck in the form of mad king, an evil uncle, and a scheming princess. Resulting in Annette being kidnapped and imprisoned in the dungeons of Schizophrenia castle with her beloved doomed to die.

When all hope seemed lost with no possible means of salvation, Annette made a wish for someone to save her and her love.

Turning our attention to the present day, Wonder Woman was on her way to Paradise Island with her friends the Holliday girls, flying with the invisible plane. Suddenly, a temporal tornado came down from the sky, opened the jets side door, grabbed up Wonder Woman, shut the door behind itself, and spirited Wonder Woman away!

Arriving at Paradise Island thanks to the auto pilot, a frantic Etta Candy informed Hippolyta of what has transpired, declaring that they must set out a search party and rescue Wonder Woman post haste!

Hippolyta however told Etta and the Holliday girls not to worry for she knew what really happened to Diana. And thus, she lead the Holliday Girls to the most mysterious structure on Paradise Island, to reveal to them the secret of Wonder Woman.


The storehouse of Idea-Forms.

For over the thousands of years which the Amazons have existed, they could not help but notice strange events which would transpire across the world.

In ancient Greece, a man named Deadalus came across the means of flight. Followed by Leonardo Devinci also discovering the means of flight. Hundreds of years later, the Wright Brothers would discover the means of flight, and thus aviation became a staple of the world.

Computers developed thousands of years before their inception. Electrical power and plumbing existing before the ideas were put into practice. The world had numerous examples of concepts simply appearing from nowhere with no explanation, only for them to reappear hundreds, even thousands of years later.

The Amazons studied this mysterious phenomenon and discovered the truth behind this. All ideas exist in potentia in the universe. And if someone wishes for it, they can bring into being the very essence of these ideas before they had been conceived, pulling the very concept from the future into the past because they wished for it.

Studying this phenomenon, The Amazons were able to make connections and eventually created the storehouse of Idea-Forms. Using Amazonian technology, they are able to track when an idea of the present day is being pulled into the past by someone wishing into being, and changing history itself in the process.

Upon explaining this, Hippolyta leads them to the most important idea-form studied by Amazonian Scientists and shows them a statue...Of Wonder Woman.

For in truth Wonder Woman is not merely an immortal Amazonian Princess with unsurpassed intellect and strength, carrying a message of love and peace across the world in an effort to make it a better place.

She had become something more. For upon donning the mantle of Wonder Woman, Princess Diana became an ideal. The embodiment, the symbol of what all women are capable of. She is the personification of womens potential and power. Her very existence is the living idea that women can do anything.

Thus across time and space whenever a woman wishes for the strength to fight against diversity. Whenever someone calls out for a woman to help them or for the feminist ideal to come to their aid, Wonder Woman will be there. For she is an eternal universal concept which transcends physical laws or common sense. She is an idea made flesh and nothing can stop her from saving the day!

Thus discovering from the Storehouse of Idea-Forms where and when Wonder Woman currently was, Queen Hippolyta brought the Holliday Girls to her home and used the vision sphere to tune in to the time and place of Wonder Womans arrival, to see Diana breaking Anette's chains and pulling the prison door from its hinges, declaring that she would not see any woman chained down by a mans greed!

Day 241: Dorine Thatcher

Student of the Holliday college, Dorine Thatcher lives on Adventure island. A small island off the coast of the united states, with a small community.

Dorine happened upon a treasure map created by the former lighthouse keeper Black Hugo. A man who one hundred and sixty years ago witnessed the Laura K. A British merchant vessel, hit the coral reef on the north side of the island. The crew were able to escape the ship, and had loaded on their life boat two million dollars worth in gold coins.

Black Hugo seeing the treasure, killed the men, tossed their bodies to the sea, and hid the gold away, not revealing what he had done until his death bed.

Now over a century later, Dorine had discovered the map hidden within a book she discovered, and was determined to find the treasure! But in recent years multiple people have gone in search of the treasure, only to be murdered! Their deaths attributed to a curse, Dorine decided to call upon the Holliday girls to help her in this treasure hunt, which leads to Wonder Woman joining them on their excursion!

Upon arriving, Wonder Woman is introduced to a number of the islands residents.

Anthony Joseph, a fisherman who lives on the island.

Jeb Hatch, the islands caretaker

Carlton Cabot, man with ownership of over half the island.

and Lem Brite the current lighthouse keeper.

The Holliday girls thinking they had decoded the map would begin digging a hole twenty feet deep, only for someone to cause a cave-in, resulting in debris and rocks burying them alive! Wonder Woman acting fast, digs the Holliday girls out and gets them to safety!

Anthony Jospeh declares it must be the curse of Black Hugo, not wanting anyone to find his treasure. Wonder Woman disbelieves this however, and is now determined to find this lost bounty. But with the Holliday girls injured, they were unable to continue exploring for the mysterious treasure.

That is when Wonder Woman happens upon an idea. Recalling a conversation with Steve Trevor, she remembered Steve mentioning that he was going to spend the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] taking the scout troop he is the scout master of on an adventure into the wilderness to go exploring.

So calling Steve, she soon has him and his boy scouts on the island to begin a treasure hunting adventure!

Dorine, joining Wonder Woman and the others for a little camp out, tells them all the story of Black Hugo and the ill gotten origins of the buried treasure.

It was then that Jed Hatch reveals that he knows the secret of Black Hugos map and that seeing the excited exuberance of the children on the island had inspired him to reveal the truth!

But before he could reveal the secret of the map, someone in the shadows shot the poor man. With his dying breath, he whispers to Wonder Woman the secret of the treasure map in Dorines possession, and then perishes. In the confusion, the mysterious murderer had abducted Dorine Thatcher herself!

Wonder Woman having a suspicion of who was behind this, heads for the light house and finding the door locked, she scales the light house, discovering Carlton Cabot locked away inside of a barred room, unable to escape. And reaching the top of the light house she found Lem Brite, decendant of Black Hugo himself, with a gun pointed at Dorine, demanding she reveals the maps secret.

But before Wonder Woman could act, Steve Trevor fired a shot, knocking the gun from Lem Brites hands from a hundred feet away!

For when Wonder Woman ran off towards the light house, Steve got the fisherman Anthony Joseph to sail him to the light house and seeing the scene playing out at the top of the tower, used his skill as a crack shot, from the middle of a rocky boat in a rainstorm in the middle of a night, to hit the gun from Lem's hand at the top of the light house tower.

So it was revealed that Lem Brite, hungering for his ancestors stolen treasure, killed anyone who came in search of it, desiring it for himself. And Carlton Cabot, realizing where the treasure must be, had been imprisoned by Lem before he could prove his theory.

But Wonder Woman knowing the secret to the map, holds it up to the moonlight, to reveal a near invisible pin prick in the map, right where the light house was.

So with Dorines help, Wonder Woman goes to the light house basement, and digs up the treasure chest full of gold.

Carlton Cabot demands the treasure belongs to him since he owns the land the lighthouse was built upon, but Wonder Woman points out that Dorine as the one who found the treasure gets a cut, and that a percentage must also be given as taxes.

And so it was that the treasure was discovered and the true murderer Lem Brite was sent away for his crimes.

In the end seeing how happy Steves scout troop were to explore the island, Dorine used her portion of the money to turn her property on the island into a summer camp for kids to come and enjoy the island in all its splendor.

An idea that Carlton Cabot was so taken by that he helped her to convert the whole island into a summer retreat for young children. Transforming what had been an island of the dusty and forgotten into a place where children would go on to create fond memories of the great outdoors

Day 242: Princess Snowina

The young princess of Iceburg Land, Snowina like all of her people is made from ice and snow. To young to yet take the throne, Snowina is awaited upon by handmaidens who around the clock tutor and teach the young princess in the sciences, politics, and all aspects of her kingdoms people, culture and history.

Noted for her good natured innocence, Princess Snowina could not help but notice the giant ice fortress her regent Prime Minister Blizzard was constructing. Ordering her guards to take her to the glacial fortress, she demanded Prime Minister Blizzard explain what the fortress was for.

Blizzard saying it was of the highest security and requested the princess speak with him in private least their be a spy amongst the guard. Snowina had no doubts of her peoples loyalties but did so to humor Prime Minister Blizzard and upon entering the room, she was knocked unconscious with a blow to the head and tied up.

Minister Blizzard realizing there was no going back now, came out of the private room declaring the princess demanded war upon mankind for trying to destroy Iceburg land! His plan was to conquer the world and rule it with an iron fist. Banking on his path of conquest distracting the people from unwanted questions like "where is the rightful Queen?"

So it was that the glacier fortress headed off at glacial speeds to one of the largest cities of the world, New York city! Upon entering the harbor, Prime Minister Blizzard activated the climate changer, causing the glacier to grow. It quickly grew over, and consumed the Hudson bay which narrowly evacuated before lives could be lost. The glacier pushing into the city, it threatened to destroy New York city itself!

And it very well would have were it not for Wonder Woman!

Hearing about the looming disaster, Wonder Woman rushed to New York and running up to the growing glacier, Wonder Woman exerted all of her strength and even as the glacier grew in size, she slowly began to push it away from New York and further into the ocean. But as it continued to grow, it was soon the size of New York state, and Wonder Womans efforts would be for naught if this mighty glacier canvassed the world.

But Princess Snowina having been trained in the art of escape, and familiar with far harder blows than the one she recieved from the traitorous prime minister, Escaped from the locked room! Displaying her unquestioned mastery of regal form despite yer young age, Princess Snowina commanded her guard to arrest Prime Minister Blizzard for treason, and demanded the deactivation of the weather manipulation device!

With the glacier no longer expanding and its ice engines turned off, Wonder Woman boarded the glacier and met with Princess Snowina.

The princess politely introduced herself and viewing Wonder Woman as an ambassador of the human world, She explained to Wonder Woman that Iceburg Land scientists studied the invention of Professor Chemico and found that not only would it have killed her people, but it would have created disastrous weather patterns which could have devastated the world.

She made her case to Wonder Woman that such a device could very well mean the worlds end. Wonder Woman agreed with Princess Snowina's well reasoned argument and declared that she would take her findings to Professor Chemico, to ensure that he never try to replicate his brilliant invention.

As for Princess Snowina, she took the device with her back to Iceburg land and had it locked away, just in case her people were to ever experience a disasterous change in climate that could spell their doom.

Day 243: King Crystallar

King of the white star, a planet made from atomic crystals, King Crystallar is one of the green Genii people which inhabit the plant of nuclear power.

His people while lacking the technological brilliance of other worlds, possess an incredible explosive power in the form of atomic crystals, the substance which makes up their homeworld of white planet. Anything which comes in contact with matter from this world will find its atoms being transfigured into an atomic explosive force, creating a terrific explosion of horrific destruction.

They energy produced from these atomic explosions is then collected by the Genii's, who destroy whole solar systems to feed off the energy produced by their destruction. But after destroying all matter in their native solar system, their world was left adrift through space. Its people dying, they were offered support by the Interplanetary Peace Organization who offered to help the planets people in exchange for the disarmament of their atomic weapons.

Claiming to agree to this, King Crystallar demanded a world engine so that his people can freely travel the galaxy in search of a new solar system for them to settle in, least they float aimlessly through the galaxy forever.

The organization of planet Pacifico agreed and giving the Genii the technology, they were awaiting their nuclear disarmament, when King Crystallar installed the engines and took off, intending to destroy the galaxy in the name of selfish resource grabbing!

Annihilating several planets, King Crystallar made his way into Earths solar system, intending to consume it whole! Driven from Pluto by the most dire of King Plutos wraiths, they headed further into the solar system, intending to consume Saturn, and then the Earth! But before it could reach either planet, Queen Supreema arrived with the entire Red Planet in tow! Harnessing her worlds full gravitational force, the red planet, Queen Supreema held King Crystallar's diamond white star captive near the asteroid belt.

Earth would discover the new planets in their solar system when Professor Astronomo recorded their discovery. And upon seeing a notable asteroid anhilated when it neared the two planets, he hurriedly contacted the military to warn them!

The military discovering this crisis, went on to contact Wonder Woman and showed them what they had discovered. The people of Earth fearful that these matter destroying worlds were coming to destroy their home planet, combined their scientific knowledge to stop them!

Wonder Woman using her mental radio, reached out to make contact with these worlds to find out what their intentions were, and made contact with King Crystallar. Wonder Woman being versed in every language in the universe, understood his every word,

King Crystallar claimed that his world had been captured by the evil red planet and that it was the one destroying whole worlds. It begged Wonder Woman to free his planet from the menace of the red star.

So it was that Wonder Woman taking charge, formulated a plan to save Earth and the white star planet! Needing a skilled team of the most amazing people on the planet to aid her in rescuing a planet, Wonder Woman naturally contacted Etta Candy and the Holliday girls! She would teach them how to speak the language of Genii, which King Crystallar was speaking, so they would understand what was afoot on this other world.

But with the crystal atoms being emitted like rays in all directions from the two planets, no ship or sky kanga could approach it without certain annihilation!

Thus the greatest minds in the world banded together to find a solution. The professors of Holliday college, the Amazons, Paula Von Gunther and Wonder Woman herself worked hard until they could craft hydronitigen membrane, an ameoba-like substance which would coat someone in a breathable atmosphere which made the wearer immune to the atomic destabilizing molecular crystals that would have otherwise meant their doom.

Thus with all their preparation complete, Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls traveled to Paradise Island to use the Amazonian human canon! An invention created for just such a contingency, which could launch a target into space and send it hurtling at impossible speeds to destinations with perfect accuracy!

Heading for the red planet as they believed that to be the real villain in this, they neared the world before activating the personal propulsion packs invented by Paula Von Gunther, which would allow them to control their motion through outer space.

As they neared the gaseous red planet however, they found themselves sucked up into a giant vacuum and held suspended within a zero gravity field.

The Holliday girls demanded to be freed, speaking in the language of Genii, which the golden women of the Red Planet interpreted as proof that they were colluding with the Genii.

Wonder Woman mistaking the circumstances, freed herself and the others using the magic lasso, and destroyed the Vacuumator!

Retreating to the white star, they met with King Crystallar, explaining the situation to him. Upon finding out that the red stars vacuumator was destroyed, King Crstallar declared that he had no more need of the Earthlings and commanded his soldiers to kill them while he led his men to annihilate and absorb the red planet now that it could no longer vacuum up the atomic crystal molecules before they could come in contact with the planet!

The membranes Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls wore made them proof from the nuclear destruction of the crystals, but they could still be destroyed by the atomic energy given off by objects around them being destroyed.

Wonder Woman using her bracelets, was able to deflect the radiation away from them, and used her magic lasso which was likewise proof against their molecular destabilization, to capture the King Crystallar and his people before they could destroy the red planet!

With the wicked king and his people captured, Queen Supreema who had besieged the tyrant took them into her custody and both her and Wonder Woman exchanged pleasantries, apologizing for the misunderstandings between them.

When Queen Supreema voiced her thoughts about King Crystallar needing to be executed for his crimes, Wonder Woman instead suggested they seek reform and attempt to find a means of using their atomic crystals as a form of clean energy.

Queen Supreema awed by Wonder Woman, invited her to Planet Pacifico, to serves as Earths ambassador, and spread her message of love and peace across the universe.

Day 244: Mona Menise

Young woman of sixteen years, Mona Menise is the daughter of general Menise, Steve Trevors former commanding officer before he transferred to army intelligence.

A young girl in pig tails when Steve last knew her, Mona is a farm girl who had been raised by her aunt and uncle due to her father career and mothers untimely passing.

Being treated kindly by Steve who doted on a young girl of ten, Mona would develop a crush on Steve and declared that she would marry him!

Desperate to escape the farm life, Mona went to go to music school, and became a talented singer. With dreams of becoming a world famous vocalist, Mona was convinced she would win Steves heart.

But as she matured, Mona kept getting into trouble. Reckless driving, attacking her fellow students for out performing her. Attempting to kill a man for booing her performance. She could not behave herself.


Things finally came to a head for the young Mona Menise when she heard about Steve Trevor carrying a torch for Wonder Woman. Ditching school and driving across four states to see Steve, Mona professed her love for him and declared that they should marry right away.

Steve still seeing Mona as a young child, tried to explain to her that this was obviously impossible, but Mona would not hear of it, and declared that Wonder Woman had turned him against her!

It was then that General Menise arrived. Hearing about how his daughter had ditched school, and that her car was being searched for by law enforcement for speeding and outrunning state officials of multiple states, he had put his ear to the ground and heard about her arriving at army intelligence headquarters.

Scolding Mona for such behavior, he ordered her to return to school and behave herself least she get into trouble that he could not bail her out of. But Mona convinced that everyone was against her, swore that she would win Steves heart by murdering Wonder Woman and become the only woman in his life!

So it was that Mona hearing about Wonder Womans scheduled appearance at the Holliday College glee club benefit concert for orphans, Mona devised a plan to murder the Amazonian princess!

Noting the giant statue on the top of a building near where the concert was being held, Mona watched and waited as Wonder Woman leaped a hundred feet into the air with a concert bus on her shoulders, landing on the stage.

Seeing her chance when Wonder Woman waded through the crowd of the concert, Mona used a crowbar to destroy the restraining bolts and upend the ten ton statue down upon Wonder Woman and the crowd of orphans and donators!

Fortunately, Wonder Woman discovered the falling statue before it could land! Leaping into the air, Wonder Woman lasso'd the statue and using her upward momentum, sent it flying a safe distance away into an empty clearing so no one was harmed. But searching the roof she found no sign of the villain behind it.

But that would not be the last Wonder Woman would see of Monas villainous deeds, for she had sworn to murder Wonder Woman and anyone who got in her way of making Steve Trevor hers.

Day 245: Suzan Patience

accredited penologist, Suzan Patience is a woman who has studied the science of criminology, psychology, and criminal reform in an effort to reform those who break away from society to commit felonies.

Suzan came to the conclusion that using excessive force or punishment in order to keep people from committing crimes was not an effective deterrent for criminal behavior. But instead, the true solution was using love and discipline to make criminals desire reform and welcome good behavior.

Her ideas considered alien by the penology community, Suzan needed someone to rescue her ideas from being abandoned. Thus, Suzan Patience sought out Wonder Woman and asked for her referral. Wonder Woman hearing of this, was impressed by Suzans approach which she declared to be the foundation for the Amazons own reformation methods!

Carrying Suzan in her arms, Wonder Woman lept out the window, grabbing the rope ladder to her invisible plane, and headed straight for the governors office! Leaping in through his window, Wonder Woman recommended Suzan for the position of warden for the new prison the Governor had constructed.

Governor Ira, having just been interviewing Bertram Harsh for the position, when Wonder Woman arrived and sounded intrigued. Ignoring Bertrams insistence that broken bones and broken spirits are the only way to create productive members of society, The governor agreed on one condition. If the prison could go one month without an incident occurring, he would acknowledge that Suzans methods had merit, and make the position permanent.

Thus granted a temporary role as prison warden, Suzan set off to reform the new prison for the better with the help of Wonder Woman!

As Warden Patience is arriving at the prison, the inmates mutter amongst themselves, boasting that threats and punishments only make them tougher, and that dehumanizing treatment only serves to make them more criminalistic!

When Suzan arrives however, she brings with her boxes of clothes for the inmates to wear. Not the prison uniforms they possessed, but everyday normal clothing which Suzan believed was necessary in order to make them feel more like human beings and less like serial numbers occupying a cell.

She then declares that prisoners need to be kept occupied with constructive activities which would create a healthier mentality. Thus, she declared that the prisoners would build a reacreation wing for the prison for the inmates to recreate within!

The prisoners balked at this, pointing out that none of them knew how to build or construct, but Wonder Woman arriving to help, declared that she would teach them, for this would give them valuable work experience which could help them to find work once they have been released!

And so it was that Wonder Woman the greatest teacher in the world taught the prisoners the arte of construction and in a single day, they had completed an entire new wing of the prison!

Once the wing was completed, Suzan would go on to alot space for the growing of crops, and an orchard for fruits so that the prisoners could learn the trade of farming and orchard keeping, while providing their own fresh food to eat.

Finally, Suzan arranged for sporting events to be held in the prison for a sense of isolationism can contribute to the criminal mentality. Thus she would arrange for games of football, tug of war, and other such things so the prisoners may form bonds of camaraderie amongst one another.

And Suzans methods worked. The prisoners would show notable signs of improvement, they were learning trades which would help them outside of prison, and what had become an institution for punishing the guilty became instead a center for rehabilitating those who had been affected by the criminal mentality.

Day 246: Parthenope

One of the siren sisters of Greecian myth.Parthenope like her fellow sirens would sit upon the rocky reefs, singing to passing ships and causing them to run aground, take in water and drown.


Delighting in these mass deaths and the foolishness of humans, Parthenope and her sisters continued doing this until Aphrodite arrived and disapproving of their attacks upon humans, demanded they cease. The sirens paying Aphrodite no mind, went on to sing to the next passing ship, only to find themselves turning into trees. Cursed to live as immortal trees on the rocky shoal so they would never again harm the passing human sailors for sport.

Time would pass and thousands of years later, a great storm would hit that rocky shore, and the tree that was Parthenope would be washed away from her sisters and into the deep ocean. Landing on a beach, a carpenter would discover the tree and use it in his work. Crafting various things including a braclet which he felt compelled to fashion into the likeness of a siren.

Hundreds of more years would pass, and Mona Menise would happen upon that bracelet while running from the scene of her latest attempt at murdering Wonder Woman. In a trance as she stared at the thing, Mona purchased the bracelet and upon putting it on, Mona felt compelled to sing.

Singing in ancient greek, every male passerby within a block walked towards her in a trance. Mona upon realizing that she could control them, set them to murder Wonder Woman!

Then while her pedestrians attempted to kill the heroin, Mona feeling compelled herself, tracked down Steve Trevor and singing him into a trance, commanded him to fly to a rocky shoal off of Greece.

Wonder Woman upon lassoing the hypnotised masses and commanding them to stop trying to kill her and reveal who made them do this, rushed to catch up with Mona and Steve using her invisible plane. Arriving just in time to see Mona leap out of the plane on a parachute, with Steve hurtling down towards the rocky shoal below.

Wonder Woman lassoing the nose of the plane, pulled it up, and leaping down, she took control of the plane and landed it on the rocky shore, beating Mona to the ground.

Watching as the entranced Mona approached a collection of trees, Wonder Woman lasso'd her and commanded Mona to explain why she commited these crimes.

As Mona was explaining her desire to kill Wonder Woman and steal Steve for herself, the bracelet Mona wore at the time she was lasso'd changed and transformed into Parthenope once again, and began to explain her joy in seeing men die for her, and that she was trying to rescue her sisters from the curse. A curse which was broken by the magic lasso's command.

So discovering that both Mona and Parthenope were guilty in these crimes, Wonder Woman would go on to lasso the other trees on the shore, restoring them to their true form, and go on to take Mona, Parthenope, and the other sirens back to Reform Island where they mat hopefully turn over a new leaf.

Day 247: Queen Lovelee

Queen of the Limestones Girls, a race of beautiful women formed from limestone and given life by Aphrodite. Living thousands of feet beneath Paradise Island in the limestone caverns of the extinct mount Lesurvius volcano where they have dwelled for thousands of years, predating the Amazons arrival to the island..

The limestone girls despite their name, appear completely human. Save for the beautiful golden wings they were all born with. Magical wings which allow the Limestone girls to carry any weight and fly without a problem. Even the likes of elephants or whales could be carried with ease for a Limestone girl thanks to their wings magic. These wings are ever shining, creating light for the Limestone girls to see without trouble.

Their cavern walls lined with jewels, the Limestone Girls appreciate beauty in all its forms, and strive to bring it to the darkest of places.

Their presence unknown to the Amazons, the Kingdom of the Limestone girls would remain unknown to the Amazons until a certain five year old Amazonian princess by the name of Diana happened upon it!

For back in the days of Wonder Womans childhood on Paradise Island, Diana was terribly curious about what she would look like when she grew up. Thus the five year old snuck into her mothers throne room when no one was looking and without asking permission, she set the vision sphere for 'future' to see what she would look like as an adult.

And much to her surprise, what she saw was WONDERFUL. She saw herself being granted the title and garb of Wonder Woman from her mother. Witnessed her earliest adventures, and would find out the solutions to challenges which in the future she would seem to already know the answers to thanks to watching how she resolved them at the young age of five.

When Hippolyta entered the throne room she was aghast at the sight of Diana witnessing her future. For Hippolyta feared for her daughters safety and even if the future promised for Diana was a glorious one, Hippolyta denied it. Wanting her daughter instead to remain on the island in safety for the rest of her days.


Hippolyta had hoped to keep the future a secret from Diana in the hopes of changing it But upon Diana discovering this possible future...Diana would begin talking non stop about how wonderful Wonder Woman was and nothing else.

Using a persistent tenacity which children are notorious for, Diana began asking her mother for a wonder woman costume...Repeatedly.

Asking for nothing else for a straight week, Hippolyta eventually gave in and declared that she would make Diana a Wonder Woman costume...If she won the Dianas Day hunt. And made Diana promise to give up on wanting to become Wonder Woman if she lost.

The five year old agreed, and Hippolyta thought that was the end of that.

When the Dianas Day festival came around, the five year old princess Diana was dressed in a bunny costume as one of the prey. Running off into the forest with the other Amazons, Diana had to last the whole day without being caught by the adult Amazons who were competing with her.

Hours later however, Diana walked out of the forest carrying a giant sack over her head. Hippolyta asked Diana what she was carrying and sitting the bag down, the five year old opened it to reveal that she had managed to capture every amazon in the competition. Hunter and prey alike despite every Amazon on the island possessing super strength, speed and intellect.

Hippolyta knowing that she was bested, then fashioned the five year old her own Wonder Woman costume and Diana was so gleefull, that she changed into it and began leaping a hundred feet into the air in joy across the island!

Deciding to celebrate her new costume with an adventure, Diana decided to explore the extinct mount Lesurvius volcano, leaping into it without a second thought.

Rescued by a young limestone girl as the bold Diana hurtled towards the volcanos bottom, the young Amazonian princess had discovered the secret kingdom of the Limestone Girls ruled by Queen Lovelee.

Day 248: Elva Dove

Spy for the rubber conglomerate of Ivar Torgson, Elva would infiltrate army intelligence as a secretary during the war and finding out about vital supplies and resources the army needed, she would pass on the intel to her boss who would buy out the entire supply and when the military would come for it, he would charge ten times its original price, gloating that they had no choice but to pay his prices.

Hoarding supplies such as rubber and food for the sake of a quick buck, Ivar Torgson was a ruthless businessman who would arrange for the assassination of those who opposed his efforts, and would destroy supplies that he could not attain himself rather than see someone else turn a profit with them.

When Wonder Woman caught Elva Dove going through the files of army intelligence, Diana chased her down to discover the headquarters of Ivar Torgson, and his wicked plans. Seeing Wonder Woman, Ivar Torgson attempted to have her killed, only to be foiled!

Wonder Woman would then take the lot of them to Reform Island where they would begin to be reformed. During their rehabilitation though, Elva Dove and Ivar Torgson would discover that they both secretly carried a torch for one another.

In the end they would be rehabilitated, and Ivar with Elva at his side, swore to use the full resources of his rubber conglomerate to better the lives of others!
