Day 299: Iras

Amazon of Paradise Island, Iras was one of the presumably redundant guards of Queen Hippolyta who would remain at her side looking official during ceremonies and special events.

Events such as the Amazonian Jewel Festival. A tradition borrowed from the Jewel Girls who live beneath Paradise Island, protecting it from the Radium giants at Aphrodites request.

The Amazons variation on the jewel festival takes place on an artificial island towed out tens of miles from Paradise Island, between it and the neighboring Reform Island. In this ceremony, Amazons in the name of Aphrodite will raise a giant jewel into the air and dance with what they declare is the most precious thing they treasure. Then, their most precious treasure will burst forth from the hollow gem, revealing themselves to be Amazons bound to the bearer of the gem with Aphrodites blessing.

The jeweled Amazons will then leap into the water and swim away, leaving the dancers to give chase in an effort to catch their precious treasure before it escapes them. (Not that they try that hard to get away.)

The Jewel Girl variation of this is played out in the center of an open cavern where they take advantage of their wings in their festivals final act to fly instead of swim.


Trained by Zasa, Iras was skilled in hundreds of martial arts and
professed incredible physical abilities.

Iras is a courageous Amazon, willing to do everything in her power to defend the invulnerable Queen Hippolyta from harm.

Perhaps one day she to will find a fellow Amazon to undertake the Jewel Festival with.

Day 300: Queen Sharkeeta

Queen of the mermaids, Queen Sharkeeta is a the ruler of her school of mermaids. Sharkeeta is a crafty one with a love of freedom and a fierce hatred for being confined. Posessing a bit of a vengeful streak, Sharkeeta is the sort to play with her food if it happens to upset her.

The origins of Queen Sharkeeta and the mermaids takes us to one of the most disasterous moments in the history of Wonder Woman for the two most dangerous yet benign minds in the universe happened to cross paths!

Professor 'Magnificent! My de-evolution ray de-evolved everyone on the planet into gorillas!' Zool

And Gerta 'Love and kindness are not as important as SCIENCE!' Von Gunther.

On this fated day the two dangerously brilliant minds crossed paths on the Holliday college grounds and striking up a conversation, exchanged notes.

We may never know what reality defying ideas Professor Zool took away from their conversation, but Gerta is a different story.

For awed by Professor Zools story as he regalled her with his uplifting of the gorilla Giganta into a human being, and the curious effects of his evolution ray, Gerta declared that she would make it her goal to do the same with every animal in the world!!!!!

So it was that Gerta would spend months without food, sleep or even a moments distraction, doing nothing but working on a means of making her incredible idea a reality. Until she had done it! For Gerta Von Gunther invented 'Supervitalitee Solution' a chemical concoction which when ingested, would cause life forms to undergo a transformation into a hybrid combination of their original forms and human beings.

With the solution to her mad scheme in her hands, Gerta began to uplift the animal kingdom! Gerta would then proceed to go into the wild and capture the young of a species. Just enough to create viable population for her new species, and then in the secret lab which she had constructed beneath her mothers secret lab (Thinking that no one would think to look in such a redundant location) Gerta would feed the 'Supervitalitee Solution' to the animals who would take on these humanoid hybrids forms. Then Gerta would proceed to raise these children about human society and culture, teaching them how to function as a human society, before relocating them to varying locations throughout the world where they would thrive thanks to their animal features.

And this is exactly what Gerta went on to do. The world would begin to see the appearance of dozens of new humanoid species made up of mammals, birds, reptiles, and even tiny insect people which existed in the thousands.

After several successful attempts at creating fish people, Gerta decided to move on to sharks. So acquiring a large number of baby sharks, Gerta feeds them the Supervitalitee solution, and is delighted to see her newly created species take on the appearance of mermaids! Clapping her hands, Gerta began to cheer for her latest success, which unfortunately spelt her downfall.

For at that moment, Paula Von Gunther, Gertas mother had been in her own secret lab working on a project given to her by Wonder Woman. Discovering the source of these mysterious animal hybrid species which were suddenly appearing all over the world.

Thus hearing the cheering below her feet, Paula discovered a secret staircase and decended to discover Gertas secret laboratory and the project which Gerta was working upon.

Gerta thought her mothers insistence about ethics, animal cruelty, and the dangers of creating things like shark hybrids was silly, and argued with her mother until Paula telepathically called Wonder Woman to tell her what was going on.

Gerta not wanting them to stop her brilliant plan, used her Amazonian training to pick up the giant aquarium which held her young sharks and ran away through the secret exit to the outside, with the giant tank over her head. For Gerta intended to carry her mermaids to the ocean where they may frolics and be free!

Unfortunately for Gerta, Wonder Woman was nearby when she received the call and from atop her invisible plane, Wonder Woman lasso'd Gerta and pulled up Gerta who was holding the giant aquarium balanced on her head.

Wonder Woman scolded Gerta for her uncontrolled bouts of mad science, and declared that shark hybrids could be dangerous. Gerta retorted that the mermaids were very pretty, so they couldn't be bad. And also explained that mermaids would never hurt people.

Wonder Woman shockingly skeptical of this declared that Gerta was to dangerous to be left roaming the outside world and doing whatever struck her at the moment. Thus, Wonder Woman transported Gerta and her mermaids to Paradise Island where Gerta could freely continue her forays into science where the Amazons could keep an eye on Gerta and ensure that she did not invent something which would bring harm to the world.

Thus Gerta moved back to Paradise Island, and seemed to be the model Amazon. Getting permission to continue caring for her mermaids which had been moved to a fish pond on Reform Island, Gerta secretly developed more of her Supervitalitee and continued to use it on the Mermaids, just to see what would happen.

What no one noticed however, was that the fruit and bread which was given the mermaids was simply sinking to the bottom of the pond. And that the fish which once inhabited it had mysteriously vanished.

For while the mermaids had a humanoid form, they all also sported rows of fearsome shark teeth, and maintained the carnivorous diet which they had been born with.

Further, under Gertas added use of the Supervitalitee solution, the mermaids underwent a metamorphosis, and developed wings. With these wings, the mermaids were able to leap high into the air and glide through the air like flying fish!

Once this transformation had taken effect, Queen Sharkeeta, leader of the mermaids declared that they had been imprisoned by the Amazons for to long! That they would find their freedom and take their revenge upon the Amazons for imprisoning them, by eating them!

The Mermaids under Queen Sharkeeta thus leaped high into the air from the emptied fish pond, and covering the distance of the island, landed in the sea where they swam free.

Then spotting several swimming Amazons, the Mermaids proceeded to gather chlorofolm vines from the ocean floor and used them to restrain the mermaids, rendering them unconcious!

Then stuffing them in undersea air bubbles, the Mermaids held the Amazons confined, intending to eat the Amazons once they grew hungry.

Fortunately, the missing Amazons were soon noticed and Queen Hippolyta made use of the vision sphere to discover what had happened. Alerting Gerta and Wonder Woman, the two of them prepared to head underwater while Gerta went to get her entire supply of Supervitalitee serum.

Heading beneath the oceans surface, the pair of them went to the Amazons aid and binding the mermaids with the magic lasso, Wonder Woman was able to capture them all! As for Gerta, she used her entire supply of the serum on her mermaids, causing them to undergo yet another metamorphosis, turning them into omnivores!

Thus now that the Mermaids now subsisted on a more balanced diet, they were not considered as dangerous to humans.

Since the Mermaids were unable to breath above water, Queen Hippolyta took a transparent air suit and journied beneath the oceans surface to speak to Queen Sharkeeta, reasoning with her. Through their discussion, Hippolyta convinced the queen of the mermaids to remain amongst the Amazons and learn their ways of love and peace for the benifit of her people, and so it was that Queen Sharkeeta and her mermaids became residents of the seas around Paradise Island.

Day 301: Colonel Smugson

Obnoxious American military commander overseeing a base on the American territory of Wooloo island (Which is only a mere two hundred miles from Zani Island) Colonel Smugson was tasked with keeping the peace and assisting the locals if they had any trouble, as they were considered American citizens.

Instead, Smugson looked down on the local Wooloo people with contempt and refusing to learn their native language, he hired Butch Kookoo, a native who was raised on the mainland, to serve as a translator.

Caring not a lick for the island or its people, Smugson would spend his time preening for a promotion, convinced he deserved greater things.

One day, Chief Loko came to his office and translated through Butch, Chief Loko of the Wooloo people asked for help, as many of the Wooloo people had been kidnapped by giant iron-men who dragged them into the mountain.

Smugson scoffed at this, and declared that he had never heard of such a thing, thus it cannot be true. Refusing to help the desperate Chief Loko, he had Butch translate his mockery, informing Chief Loko that if he had a complaint about how he did things, Loko was more than welcome to swim all the way to the capital and file a complaint.

Laughing, Smugson smugly kicked back, convinced he had nothing to worry about. Unaware that Chief Loko would take him literally and that he would be in for a rude awakening.

Day 302: Saturnette

Saturnite from the planet Saturn, Saturnette was one of Eviless's lackeys who aided her in the takeover of Paradise Island. When the tables were turned and Wonder Woman was freed however, Saturnette and some of the others under Eviless's command fled on an Amazonian swan plane which they used to escape back to Saturn.

Upon arriving, they were quickly apprehended by Emperor Saturns enforcers and taken before him. Due to Saturnite law, any Saturnite who is captured by another is rendered a slave, with a brand placed upon their foreheads.

Saturnette however argued her case, insisting that she hadn't been captured, but in fact it was all part of a brilliant plan all of her own to conquer Paradise Island!

The Emperor of Saturn pointed out that they have a peace treaty with Earth and that he would be breaking his word by NOT enslaving Saturnette and the others for attempting to conquer it.

However, Saturnette armed with the power of legal loop holes pointed out that Paradise Island treated itself as a seperate entity from the rest of the Earth, and that when Wonder Woman was brokering peace between their two worlds, she specifically did so as a third party representing Paradise Island.

Thus through the strict wording of their treaty, conquering Paradise Island would not be breaking the treaty which they had signed!

Intrigued by this, the Emperor of Saturn agreed, but declared that he would not acknowledge Saturnettes efforts as having his approval. Instead, he granted her a Saturnite spy craft, fully armed Saturnette and those who had escaped with her, and sent them off, disavowing any knowledge of their actions should they succeed or fail.

Months would pass and Saturnette would go on to infiltrate an American military scientific research institute under the false name of Margot Strive. Its goal: Studying Wonder Woman and discovering her secrets. Using their resources and research, Saturnette was able to discover that Wonder Womans invisible plane was still desernable on a specific wave of infrared. However since Saturnites never developed such technology, Saturnette was forced to use her spy rocket to raid the research institute, taking the machinery needed to track Wonder Woman and discover a way back to Paradise Island.

And so it was that Saturnettes wicked scheme to succeed where Eviless failed, began.

Day 303: Chief Loko

Chieftain of the Wooloo people of Wooloo Island, Loko is the leader of a people who have lived on this island out in the middle of the ocean for thousands of years with little contact from the outside world.

When America claimed the island as one of their territories, the natives were more or less ignored as a base was set up, and they were told that they would help if needed.

So when Colonel Smugson refused to aid Chief Loko when the villainous Iron-men began snatching away his people, Chief Loko took it upon himself to speak to the chief of the American people! Thus getting directions, Chief Loko swam across the ocean to the United States, proceeded to hike across the country and marched into Washington DC, calling out in his native language of Wooliloo.

Chief Loko ended up being misdirected to army intelligence who were unable to understand what he was saying until Wonder Woman arrived and naturally speaking Wooliloo, she translated that his people were being kidnapped by the evil iron-men who were dragging them into the mountain, and that they would find their bodies tossed like refuse in the jungle weeks later.

Hearing this, General Darnell was skeptical, about something like Iron-Men but Wonder Woman reminded him that they were American citizens entitled to the same protections as anyone else of his country. Thus, Phillip Darnell called in Steve Trevor and ordered him to go to Wooloo Island, to take care of Colonel Smugson (Whom he outranked) And see what he could do for the people of Wooloo.

As for Wonder Woman, she contacted Etta Candy who happened to speak fluent Wooliloo as she had learned all of the various languages from that part of the world while she was teaching on Zani Island.

Picking up Etta and the Holliday girls, they flew back to Wooloo Island with Chief Loko and began to provide relief. Building a hospital, setting up a school, and began to investigate the dissappearance of the missing people with Wonder Womans help.

As for Colonel Smugson, when it was discovered just how little he had been doing, he found himself demoted down to assistant potato peeler, with Steve temporarily taking over his post until a replacement could arrive.

Day 304: Bandia

Saturnite Superspy and master of disguise, Bandia was a skilled make up artist and actress who could replace someone and taking their place, leave others none the wiser to her scheme.

One of the escapees of Eviless's plot, Bandia followed Saturnettes lead and aided her in an attempt to conquer Paradise Island.

Thus after Saturnette discovered a means of locating Paradise Island, the Saturnites sent their invisible rocket ship to Paradise Island and spied upon the Amazons, waiting for an opportunity to strike.

That time would come when they discovered Wonder Woman visiting her mother, and spotted the pair heading for a private part of the beach to sunbath together peacefully.

Thus using their advanced Saturnite technology, they used a 'gravity beam' to lift the two Amazons into the air and place them inside a prison of electrical bars. Saturnette keeping in mind the incredible strength of the Amazons and the fact that Hippolyta could never be defeated, opted to instead act indirectly and avoid a confrontation on equel terms with the mighty Amazons.

Thus with Hippolyta captured, Bandia disguised herself as the queen of the Amazons and descended down upon the island. Her mission: Lead the Amazons away from the island where they would be helpless, so that the Saturnites could capture them en masse without confrontation.

And with Bandias Saturnite acting talents, their plan seemed perfect for the average Amazon could not tell the difference, Bandias disguise was so perfect.

Day 305: Professor Psycho the Iron King

Younger brother of the better known Doctor Psycho, Professor Psycho is the splitting image of his older brother save for being a foot and a half taller, and having a preference for hawaiian t-shirts and khaki shorts.

Unlike his brother who majored in psychology and neurology, Professor Psycho's passion was geology, which he became a professor in the field of. However this was not due to some sense of academic curiosity or a love of learning. In truth, Professor Psycho was as much driven by Greed as his brother was by Deception.

For using his geological mastery, Professor Psycho studied where possible rare ores and elements might be located, so that he may attempt to aquire them before anyone else.

Further, Professor Psycho believed that if he was to focus on locations where civiliation had not yet reached, he could simply take what he want without anyone to stop him.

The problem with this naturally is that the natives will not necessarily agree to having their homes turned into a refuse pit that is uninhabitable after being turned into a toxic trash heap. Thus, Professor Psycho took the time to minor in robotics and mechanical engineering.

The end result: Iron-men armor. A mechanical battle armor fashioned with the greatest technology seen on Earth and modeled after Spanish conquistadors. Standing at twelve feet tall, the wearer upon donning the suit would be able to perform feats that would be impossible otherwise thanks to the amazing technological innovations that make up the suits.

Professor Psycho however not viewing himself as a mere iron man, instead dubbed himself the Iron King, and fashioned a crown for his personal suit.

He would then go on to create a fleet of these Iron-men armors for his henchmen to wear because naturally if you have the ability to create dozens of mechanical battle armors, you would naturally make one for each of your friends.

Now harnessing one of the greatest weapons of the era with the might of an atomic bomb, Professor Psycho crafted a myth around his plan. His henchmen would call themselves iron giants, and dub Professor Psycho 'King Ironsides'

Declaring themselves 'devourers of gold and jewels' they would journey into jungles and islands where modern civilization had not yet reached. There, Professor Psycho would use his mastery of geology to locate gold and other precious resources and his men would dig it up.

In the event that the location happened to be inhabited, Professor Psycho took a sadistic delight in enslaving the natives and forcing them to work in his mines, digging constantly without food or sleep until they died, only for their bodies to be casually discarded like refuse. Then if they ran low on slaves, Psycho would have his henchmen simply kidnap more people until either they ran out of natives, or the vein had dried up. After which, Professor Psycho would simply murder the survivors to do away with witnesses.

It was through such circumstances that Professor Psycho and his iron-men came to Wooloo Island for Professor Psychos research concluded that the islands mountain consisted of 96% solid gold.

Thus he kidnapped the locals and continued his inhumane practices, murdering dozens until the arrival of Wonder Woman.

Seeing the woman who captured his brother and brought disgrace to the honorable Psycho name, the Iron King flew into a fury and ordered his henchmen to destroy Wonder Woman and the village!

Thus began a most terrible confrontation as Wonder Woman defended the Wooloo people and engaged the iron giants with the help of the Holliday girls. And the powerful armors actually had Wonder Woman at a stand still until one of the fiends accidentally crashed into one of his compatriots, breaking off a piece of the armor to reveal electrical wiring.

Upon seeing this, Wonder Woman realized that the iron giants themselves were not living being and began tearing them limb from limb, revealing the humans piloting these iron-men suits.

And so it was that Professor Psychos legacy of genocide was put to an end, and the gold he was attempting to pillage from the island became property of the Wooloo people.

Day 306: Zasa

Amazon of Paradise Island, Zasa is the commander of the Amazonian army of self defense. (Which presumably involves playing alot of Chess and risk) And the head of Queen Hippolytas royal guard.

Commanding a respect among the Amazons second only to Queen Hippolyta herself, Zasa is a woman of great wisdom who despite a more military nature, will oppose war as fiercely as any Amazon.

Especially close to Queen Hippolyta, Zasa is a one of her closest confidants, and the two are so close that they can always tell when something is bothering the other.


When Bandia disguising herself as Queen Hippolyta rejoined the Amazons, planning to order them all to leave the island, she moved amongst the Amazons unnoticed, for her acting was so perfect that even the Amazons who spent thousands of years alongside Hippolyta could not distinquish her from the Saturnite Bandia.

However when Zasa took one look at the imposter, she realized the fraud and captured Bandia, demanding to know what had happened to the queen.

Upon discovering from Bandia that Hippolyta and Diana had been captured by Saturnette, Zasa launched a raid upon the invisible ship using their invisible swan planes which moved unnoticed.

Raiding the invisible rocket, Zasa and the Amazons rescued the queen and princess, captured the crew, and flew the rocket back to the island.

Captured, Saturnette and her followes plead for mercy, asking to be taken back to Reform Island rather than face a far harsher punishment on Saturn, to which the Amazons naturally agreed.

And so it was that the day was saved thanks to Zasa.

The concept of an Amazon like Zasa is quite fascinating, and something that the Wonder Woman mythos should explore further in the future. Who knows? Perhaps in forty years a writer will look to Zasa for inspiration in some far flung reboot of some sort.

Day 307: Judy Macgregor

Professional cowgirl working for the Holecome ranch, Judy was the best at what she did this side of the Bar-L ranch. All business, Judy was focused on doing her job and doing it well.

However because of her looks, she suffered endless amounts of harassment from Randy Holecome, son of the ranch owner Mark Holecome. Aside from Judy, every other rancher working there was one of Randys buddies who did whatever he told them to, and the lot of them were little more than a gang who bullied anyone who didn't do what Randy wanted.

Thus when Randy kept making passes at Judy and she refused, Randy threatened to have her fired unless he put out. Judy naturally refused, and Randy and his friends went to the ranch owner, claiming that she was trying to seduce him and steal their money, which his friends backed up.

Thus believing his son over Judy, Mark Holecome fired his best ranch hand and Judy swore to get back at Randy one day as she headed off to town in search of a new job.

However what Judy could not have known, was that Randy was even then plotting to take advantage of Judys outburst for his own villainous gain.

So it was that later when Judy was talking with Etta about job openings at the Bar-L ranch, Randy and his posse came in screaming that Judy had murdered Mark Holecome! For Randy not wanting to wait for his inheritance, had killed his father and decided to blame Judy for his death, claiming that she was sore about getting fired and shot him down on the spot.

And with Randy in public putting on the face of a guitar playing pretty boy to hide his true nature, and Randys friends backing him up, Judy Macgregor was wrongly charged for the murder of Mark Holecome.

Day 308: Queen Wickeda

Far away in a distant solar system, there existed the planet Hator. A world long under the sway of the war god Mars, this is a world in which concepts like love and peace have been eradicated, leaving behind only constant bloodshed, treachery, and a thirst for conquest.

After thousands of years of nonstop war, the planet was currently divided between two nations. Devastata, and the larger nation of 'Wickeda'

The people of Planet Hator have thanks to their worlds unique heavy atmosphere, developed the means of traveling through the air of their world which was so dense, that light itself traveled through it at decreased speeds.

Ruling over the nation of Wickeda was its queen whom the nation was named after. Ruling with an iron fist, Wickeda like any ruler of the planet Hator, will take no prisoners, and kill on sight. And if one of her generals fails to win a campaign, Queen Wickeda will delight in having their limbs removed one at a time, and then carrying them up into the planets mesosphere, letting them drop thousands of feet to their death.
However if a general takes to long to win, Wickeda will show some mercy and simply kill them on the spot with a laser pistol, a painless demise.

Desiring a legacy to continue on after she has passed, Queen Wickeda bore a daughter whom she named Badra, and as her own mother had taught her, Queen Wickeda trained her daughter in the ways of Hator, and specifically those of the ruling class.

So it was that Queen Wickeda required her daughter to train and learn how to usurp the throne, take what she wanted, and to show no mercy in ending the lives of those who would deny her. Badra was expected to steal food and clothes to claim for herself and if she failed, Queen Wickeda would have Badra whipped.

Badra was expected to have servants which required bribing her mothers men to serve her instead and if her plot was discovered, Queen Wickeda would have Badras servants executed, and would beat Badra until she couldn't move for failing to accomplish this simple task.

And to prove Badra was capable of taking what she wants, she was required to steal Queen Wickedas royal jewels and crown. When she failed at that, Queen Wickeda pulled out her laser pistol and shot a hole in her daughters leg to teach her the cost of failure.

And so it went as years passed, with Badra learning under her mothers tutelage the ways of Hator, until one day the country of Devastata launched an offensive on Wickedas capital itself. Sending her six year old daughter to the safe room molded from lead and equipped with a stasis device to keep her safe, Queen Wickeda launched a defensive, and fought against the seige as her forces regrouped to the capitals aid.

King Devastata realizing that his attempt on Queen Wickedas life was doomed, devised a plan to use an invention he had created especially for this. 'The Hatorian cosmic bomb' a weapon so powerful that its most modest estimate calculate the destruction of the entire continent. Ignoring the protests of the inventor who declared the weapon would destroy the entire world, Devastata had the bomb transported to the outskirts of Wickedas capital, and activated it.

And so it was that the world torn apart by Mars endless wars came to an end for the bomb upon detonating, destroyed every atom of the planets make up save for traces of lead which through a quirk of the weapons devising, was immune to the cosmic bombs effect.

Thus Badra of planet Hator and the legacy of Queen Wickeda was her worlds only survivor, and was sent hurtling through space, to eventually land on Earth.

Day 309: Randy Holecome

Self centered murderer who cares only about himself, Randy Holecome is a man who across multiple reincarnations has committed unspeakable deeds in an effort to come out ahead in some way or another.

Be it consorting with pirates in the 1800s and aiding them in targeting merchant ships in exchange for a cut of the profits.

Bribing a judge to declare his business rivals as witches so he may claim their property for himself.

Or seducing a woman to reveal her families fortunes, only to murderer her and run off with the loot.

And despite this in every incarnation, Randy Holecome puts on a smiling public face and acts the part of a nice guy. Developing a pretty face and talents specifically to woo onlookers, this villainous fiend plays on peoples expectations to make himself seem the innocent in all matters.

Which was just what Wonder Woman discovered when she was contacted by Etta Candy about Judy Macgregors arrest and happened to uncover while trying to solve the most peculiar charges. Because naturally, traveling through time to examine ones past lives is obviously the most efficient means of uncovering the truth.

Day 310: Queen Badra the Meteor Girl

Born to Queen Wickeda, of the nation of Wickeda, on the planet Hator, Badra was raised on a world where peace, love, and kindness have been thoroughly erased from existance by the efforts of the war god Mars.

Raised from birth to be ruthless and merciless, Badra learned to steal food and clothing to survive since her birth. She suffered beatings, being shot, stabbed, and strangled by her mother and her servants, to toughen Badra for life as the next ruler of their nation.

It was at age six that Badra was sent to the lead lined safe room to preserve Wickedas legacy as her enemies closed in on the capital and while Badra was in stasis, the planet exploded, sending her safe room hurtling through space, to eventually crash on planet Earth.

Discovered by Earth scientists, they cut into the safe room to discover its contents, which awoke Badra from stasis. Seeing the strangers, she assumed that the invading armies of Devastata had broken in! Panicking, Badra took flight, trying to run away least she be killed.

Now all the people of Hator posess the power of flight. The atmosphere being so dense on their world, that even light traveled at an incredibly slow rate. Thus, the people of Hator adapted, evolving to move at the same speed as that light so they could function.

Thus being on the planet Earth with its far lighter atmosphere, Badra soon discovered that she had powers greatly surpassing any mere mortal.


For attempting to fly away as fast as she could, Badra found herself zooming through the air, moving at the speed of light and within a matter of minutes, Badra had covered hundreds of miles. Badra was so amazed by this that she didn't pay attention to where she was going and moving at such incredible speeds that she was producing a nigh unstoppable force, Badra smashed a hole through a building wall!

Surprised by this, Badra tried to make sense of what occured and realized that this planet was different from her own. With people who acted strange and alien, lacking in the selfishness cruelty which were the central make up of the Hator people.

Realizing that she must somehow be on an alien world, Badra searched until she found an astronomer, and forced them to search for her planet of Hator, until she discovered the truth. That her world had been destroyed and was no more.

After killing the Astronomer so he could not reveal her secrets, Badra pondered what to do next. The only thing she had in her possession was her mothers laser pistol, which had been used to put a hole in her leg for failure, and the dagger Badra had kept on her person so she could one day kill her mother if given the chance.

With her mother dead, Badra proclaimed herself Queen, despite the lack of a nation to rule. But knowing she needed servants, for that lesson had been beaten into her childhood, the six year old Badra decided to capture Earthlings and force them to serve her.

Not trusting older humans not to turn around and kill her if given the chance, Badra kidnapped children her own age and bringing them to her hideout, forced them to serve her. If one of them refused, she would pick them up, carry them up to the stratosphere, and let them drop on the ground before the others, to serve as an example not to refuse her.

Those whom Badra forced to serve her learned that they could not run away, for Badra would always catch them. They could not go to the police, for Badra could burst through any prison to drag them out. And if one of her servants died, Badra would simply replace them with someone new, always picking someone around her age.

And as the years went by, Badra grew to adulthood, her servants soon learning and adopting the ideology of Hator and its values for the sight of things like kindness and love disturbed Badra who found such acts to be disturbingly alien to her.

Eventually, Badra would become something of an urban myth, 'The meteor girl' for people would report the sight of a woman traveling through the sky but since Badra moved at the speed of light, she was to fast for even the keenest of camera to catch. Instead this myth was simply associated with the mysterious falling deaths across the country and with the claims of seeing such a woman at the sight of various damaged buildings.

But Badra ever so careful and cautious, went out of her way to not cause to big of a scene. For despite being one of the most powerful beings on the planet, Badra still viewed herself as the cowering child who would so frequently be beaten and tortured for failure. So Badra the meteor girl would steal food, clothes, smaller items until she grew older and desiring to have wealth like her mother, began with the theft of jewelry and gold. Always careful. Always cautious. Least she draw the attention of someone who would punish her if they caught her.

Day 311: Gary Banks

Sheriff of the never named wild west town neighboring the Bar-L ranch, Gary Banks is a friend of Etta's from grade school, and someone with a strong sense of duty and justice.

Thus when Judy Mcgregor, the woman he had secretly held a crush for was accused of murder, Gary Banks was forced to arrest her despite his personal feelings, promising to do whatever he could to prove Judy's innocence if she was truly not the murderer.

Ignoring the screams of insistence from Randy Holecome that Judy be quickly tried, convicted and executed that very day, Gary called for the coroner and had them run an autopsy on the body to examine it and discover the truth of things.

Seeing that his plan to have Judy framed and killed to cover up his own act, Randy Holecome waited until nightfall and then waged an assault upon the prison with his gang of friends, believing that if Judy was killed, Gary would cease looking into the death and simply assume that Judy did in fact kill Randys father to save himself the work.

What he did not count on however, was that Gary Banks and Etta Candy were discussing Judys case, with Etta explaining to Gary that Wonder Woman herself was looking into things.

When Randys gang arrived, guns raised and threatening to shoot the place up, Gary took a chair to the pretty boy, knocking off the bandana Randy was using to hide his identity.

With Gary now knowing who they were, Randy ordered his friends to drag Judy out, and tying up the three of them, he intended to hang the lot of them, and lay low, convinced people would never suspect him.

However just as he had the three about to be hung from the same branch, who should arrive but Wonder Woman, who lassoing the fiends, rescued Gary, Judy, and Etta, and revealed Randy to have a history of villainy!

And so it was that Randy and his friends were sentenced for the murder of old man Holecome, and the attempted murder of the trio.

As for Gary Banks, he went on to be asked out on a date by Judy, and went on to have a blissfully happy relationship with the newest ranch hand for the Bar-L ranch.

Day 312: Kasha

One of the women working for Queen Badra's gang, Kasha was one of the original children kidnapped by Badra to serve her and growing up under Badras doctrine which she brought with her from planet Hator, Kasha came to believe that it was everyone for themselves, and that all that mattered was greed and selfishness.

Thus straining under Queen Badra keeping all of the gold and jewels that they stole for herself, Kasha got the idea that perhaps Queen Badra would let her keep a larger share of the take if she stole some herself, and split the profits 50/50 with Queen Badra.

However, Kasha did not count on Diana Prince walking down the street just as the gun wielding Kasha ran out of a jewelery store with a sack of loot.

Changing quickly, Wonder Woman easily apprehended the criminal. But before she could drag Kasha off to Reform Island, the police arrived, declaring that they wanted to question Kasha about a string of robberies.

This horrified Kasha who begged and pleaded with them not to do that, but the police went off with Kasha. Along with Wonder Woman who wanted to get some answers from the curious criminal.

when they arrived at the jail, Wonder Woman asked Kasha what was bothering her, but Kasha was curled up in a ball, shaking, and declared that the Meteor Girl would get her. Wonder Woman asked Kasha who she meant, when suddenly the wall exploded inward as Badra punched through it at the speed of light!

Grabbing Kasha, Badra turned around and was flying out of the prison cell a second after entering and for anyone else, it might have seemed like Kasha just suddenly vanished the moment the wall exploded.

However Wonder Woman being Wonder Woman, she had little trouble pulling out her lasso and catching Badras feet as the meteor girl flew off into the air back to her secret hideout.

Arriving just as Badra realized that she had an extra passenger, Badra pulled out her laser pistol and fired upon Wonder Woman who deflected the blast with one of her bracelets. Badra dropping off Kasha inside the hide out, paused long enough to free her legs, and began to do battle with Wonder Woman! Alternating between trying to trying to fire on Wonder Woman, stab her, and simply punch right through Diana as she had brick walls, Wonder Woman was engaged in one of the most difficult battles in her life.


For never before had Wonder Woman ever contended with someone who moved faster than her. For Badra moved at the speed of light and while Wonder Woman was able to effortlessly move to deflect a bullet from behind without even being aware of its arrival, the princess of the Amazons was struggling to keep up with Badra. In fact were it not for Wonder Womans bracelets being invulnerable to even Badras force of momentum, Wonder Woman quite possibly would have died in their confrontation.

But as it was, Wonder Woman relied on her skill and training to make up for the difference in speed by predicting Badras movements, and straining to move as fast as possible in an effort to block her blows.

Seeing an opening, Wonder Woman pulled out her magic lasso and threw it into the air, having predicted where Badra would go, and lasso'd the meteor girl. But before Wonder Woman could voice a command to stop, Badra zoomed up into the air, and going as fast as she could, dragged Wonder Woman up into the stratosphere! Freeing herself from the lasso, Badra held one end of it and looked down at Diana mockingly, declaring that she would let Wonder Woman drop to her death, and that nothing could save her now.

However, Diana looked unbothered by this, and instead asked Badra to surrender, and embrace love and forgiveness. In response, Badra released Wonder Woman, letting her fall from the stratosphere....For all of the ten feet to the roof of Wonder Womans invisible plane which she had telepathically flown up to catch her.

Enraged by this, Badra fired her laser pistol at the invisible plane, intending to destroy it and send Wonder Woman plummeting. However due to an unknown property of the planes invisibility, Badras laser pistol had no effect on the aircraft which seemed to absorb the shots.

With Badra distracted, Wonder Woman lasso'd Badra once again, and this time pulled her inside, and bound her to the passenger seat of the invisible plane. As Badras super speed required an initial burst of momentum before she could effortlessly smash through anything, this rendered her powers null.

As for Kasha and the others of Badras gang, when she flew off in battle with Wonder Woman, they realized that Badra was certain to lose because she was contending with Wonder Woman. Thus, now free of Badra....They began fighting amongst themselves to claim Badras hoard of treasure for themselves before running away.

But before they could do so, Etta Candy and the Holliday girls arrived, and rounded up the lot of them, as Wonder Woman had contacted Etta during her confrontation with Badra.

Thus with Etta, Badra, the Holliday girls, and Badras gang in tow, Wonder Woman flew off to Reform Island to drop off the misguided, and to give the Holliday girls an island vacation in appreciation for their help.

313: Mister Keen

President of the continental railroad company, Mister Keen operates a massive railroad from coast to coast, through Canada to Mexico. Owning 30% of his own company, Mr. Mister Keen answers to his board regarding the companies direction.

One day however as their express line was traveling towards washington DC containing various public figures such as General Ornance, Senator Bigg, and Secretary Buyes, every train in the country suddenly stopped working, as something deactivated the electricity across the country specifically for the trains.

Wonder Woman happening to be on the train at the time, got out and towed the train the rest of the way, making faster time than normal. Upon arriving, Wonder Woman meets with Mister Keen who reveals that the Continental railroad company is being blackmailed by a nefarious fiend by the name of 'Anti Electric'


A scientist who declaring himself opposed to electricity, boasted that he invented a device which allows him to send forth an 'anti-electric ray' which allows him to with the touch of a button, remotely deactivate the electrical currents running through something, and make it impossible to activate again so long as the ray is active. Boasting that from his electric laboratory he can strike anywhere with none the wiser, Anti Electric seemed unstoppable.

Anti Electric demands 90% of the railroad companies stock or he will never allow a single train to run ever again. And when Keen tries calling for the police, he gets Anti Electric who informs him that the phone companies must do the same or else they to will cease to function.

So it was that this villainous fiend ran amock across the country. Proving that he controlled everything, Anti Electric with the flip of a switch caused planes to shut off in midair to nosedive to the ground. Fortunately Wonder Woman was quick at hand to rescue them and stop these dire catastrophes, but the end result was all flights across the country being grounded.

When police and the military began mobilizing to hunt him down, Anti Electric remotely deactivated the electricity in every city across the nation, forcing the nation to its knees.

Mister Keen seeing how powerful Anti Electric was, insisted that everyone turn over full control of their companies and finances over to this brilliant and ruggedly handsome supervillain who was obviously far to clever for anyone to catch.

While the company owners and billionaires began sighing off control to this mysterious scientist who nobody has ever seen, and only heard over radio waves which he also took control of, Wonder Woman invented an 'electric cage' made up of various circuits built like a globe, designed to deactivate upon receiving anti-electric signals, specifically in the direction of said signal.

Doing this, Wonder Woman was able to track the source of Anti Electrics anti-electric ray, and traced it to a tiny farm house out in the middle of nowhere. Approaching it, she found what was seemingly a quiet country family but noticing how clean cut they were and the expensive jewelery they were wearing, Wonder Woman declared them to be part of Anti Electrics operation!

The gang pulled their guns on Wonder Woman, having apparently not done their homework, and in short order, the lot of them were defeated and bound. Heading down into the basement, Wonder Woman at last found Anti Electric!


Covered head to toe in a fully body rubber suit and wearing an executioners hood and a lab coat, the fiend had Steve Trevor bound to a table, and threatened to use his anti electric ray on Steve Trevors brain, deactivating it! He taunted Wonder Woman and demanded she surrender, declaring she had no choice!

But as Anti Electric began to monologue about his brilliance, Wonder Woman leaped across the room, grabbed the machine, and crushed it, deactivating it, and restoring the electrical power across the nation!

With that, Wonder Woman freed Steve and unmasked the criminal to discover that Anti Electric was in fact Mister Keen the entire time! Having been sour about having no control over his own company, Keen had spent years developing an anti electric device in a bid to claim all the control and power which he craved and insisted were his due.

Thus Wonder Woman sent Mister Keen to Reform Island in the hopes that if reformed, his mind could be used to better the world.

Day 314: Violet

A minion of Queen Badra, the Meteor Girl. Violet was another of the women forced into Badras service, and adopting Badras doctrine of hatred and greed, she joined Kasha and the others in trying to loot Badra's treasure when the Meteor Girl lost against the Amazonian princess Wonder Woman.

However while Violet and the others were fighting over the petty spoils, Etta Candy and the Holliday girls arrived to capture them!

In the ensuing struggle, Violet managed to knock one of the Holliday girls unconscious and stealing her varsity jacket, Violet passed herself off as one of the Holliday girls with none the wiser.

Thus when Wonder Woman arrived and scooped up Badras minions and the Holliday girls, Violet joined them, with none the wiser that an unconscious Holliday student had been left behind at the hide out.

While on route to Reform Island, Violet saw the bound Badra and sneaking over, she freed the meteor girl who now freed, shot off like a meteor, smashing a hole through the invisible planes roof!

Wonder Woman set the plane on auto pilot with them in sight of Reform Island, and leaped onto the roof to recapture Badra as she attempted to destroy the invisible jet!

Thus they faced off once again, with Badra moving in at the speed of light, and trying to shoot Wonder Woman with her laser pistol.

Like before, Wonder Woman managed to get her lasso around Badra, but shooting off, the villain smashed through the planes engine, sending it hurtling towards the sea!

Violet panicking, prayed for help, promising to turn over a new leaf and never turn to crime ever again if she somehow survived this certain doom and as they were about to crash into the ocean...Hippolyta and Mala arrived aback Sky Kanga with a giant net held between them to catch the flying plane!

As for Badra, desperate to get free, she fired her gun at Wonder Woman at point blank range and fired, the blast deflecting off of Wonder Womans bracelet, and back upon her. Falling into the ocean, Wonder Woman grabbed Badra with one arm and swam to Paradise Island as fast as possible. Using the purple ray, she was able to save Badra, and send her to Reform Island for rehabilitation.

As for Violet, having survived the disaster, the reformed villain realized that nobody had noticed her free Badra, and got the idea to pose as a student at Holliday college and attend classes. Desiring to get a proper education in an effort to turn her life around, Violet went back to the Holliday college with Etta and the others, assuming none the wiser.

In reality however, Hippolyta informed Wonder Woman of Violets wish and Diana knowing that Violet sincerely wanted to reform, secretly paid for Violets scholarship and convinced Etta to keep the secret, allowing Violet to attend the college, unaware that Wonder Woman was helping her to make a better life for herself.

Day 315: Countess Hatra

In the 'land of dark intrigue and fantasy with doom lurking behind every corner' (Actual line.) Hatra is the countess of the island nation of Pogolana.
An island nation in the south seas which can be credited for the invention of the pogo stick, dating back thousands of years.

But while in modern times the pogo stick is simply seen as something for amusement, Pogolana has built its entire society around the usage of the pogo stick. Be it for national defense, transportation, or for sports, pogo sticks are viewed as all important.

Countess Hatra envious of her older brother King Ritia and coveting the power he possessed, decided that power must be hers, thus she launched a coup to try and conquer the kingdom!....Which failed utterly! King Ritia scolded Countess Hatra but since it was his sister, the king let her off with a slap on the wrist, and asked her not to try overthrowing him again.

But Coutess Hatra attempted just that, having come up with a new and inventive scheme for conquering Pogolana for herself!....And it failed! Once again King Ritia scolded his sister for being so obsessed with claiming the throne for herself and pointed out that as a countess, she had plenty of power already.

But Countess Hatra REALLY unable to let go of this idea tried once again to conquer the kingdom, this time by sabotaging the royal pogo stick armory so that King Ritias forces would be helpless to stop her!...Except she failed yet again! And again was forgiven!


At this point King Ritia was finding his sisters constant efforts to conquer the kingdom to be rather distracting for his daughters efforts at gaining a proper education as every time Hatra attempted this, it required upending Princess Selina to saftety, and finding a new tutor because the previous one ran away in fear. Thus,King Ritia arranged for his daughter Selina to enroll in the Holliday college where she may gain a proper education so that one day she could take the throne and rule once she was of age.

Months passed and Hatra plotted and pondered and built up an army of followers. Bribing soldiers and agents within the black market, Hatra built up her forces and for the fourth time she attempted to conquer the kingdom, this time by staging a revolt and shockingly enough against everyones expectations including Hatras, her plan succeeded!

After the initial shock wore down, the self proclaimed 'Queen Hatra' spent hours gloating to her brother about how she was now in charge and could do anything she wanted. She declared she would see his daughter locked up in chains so she could never retake the kingdom, only to discover that Selina had been sent overseas.

Outraged, Queen Hatra had her brother Ritia locked away in the castle tower where she could visit and gloat in the future, and headed off from Pogolana to the United States Holliday college in order to do away with Princess Selina!

Day 316: Professor Calculus
Math teacher at the Holliday college, Professor Calculus was world renowned for his mathmatical talents and his ability to mentally solve any equation with nary an effort. Proffessor Calculus believed that every secret within the universe could be solved through the rigorous use of mathmatics. That any problem. Any dilemma could be resolved by punching in the right numbers.

This belief received the attention of Wonder Woman after she met with General Brainy, the armies head of atomic research. He was trying to find a means of making atomic power a clean energy that would make the world better for all. However, even the brainy General Brainy was at his wits end trying to discern a solution.

Thus he turned to Wonder Woman who deduced that the calculations necessary to produce this would take decades to produce. Thus, she devised a plan.

Meeting with Professor Calculus, Wonder Woman asked for his help in her latest idea. A thinking machine! A super calculation device which would crunch numbers and calculate at speeds far greater than the average human. A device which was capable of calculating the solution to any problem!

Between Wonder Womans genius and Professor Calculus's mathmatical nature, the two of them got to work building the thinking machine. Crafting it from twelve hundred and seventy two calculators, eight thousand nine hundred and fifty radio tubes, and hundreds of other electrical doodads and doohickeys, the two of them at last invented a machine which could solve any problem! Thus they input the need for an atomic clean energy and within the hour, the thinking computer devised a solution which ended the energy crisis and brought free energy to all across the globe!

All thanks to Wonder Woman and Professor Calculus.

Day 217: Princess Selina

Princess of the island nation of Pogolana, Princess Selina was enrolled as a student at the Holliday college by her father King Ritia, where she took on the guise of a simple commoner from her homeland, not wanting people to fawn over her or see her only for her royal title.

Quickly winning over her fellow students with her witty personality and athletic interests, Princess Selina showed off her incredible talents as Pogolana's champion pogo-stick rider!

Awed by Selina's abilities, many among the Holliday girls asked how she was so good with a pogo stick, and Selina told them of her countries invention of the pogo stick thousands of years ago, and how there were many sports in Pogolana revolving around the riding of one.

Like college students anywhere, the prospect of an utterly insane atheletic past time which was tragically obscure had the Holliday girls practically salivating at the chance to participate. Thus after discussing and learning about the various sports of Pogolana, they settled on Pogo Polo, a game which resembled polo, but on a pogo stick.

However before they could begin, Selina explained to them that they had the wrong kind of pogo stick. For while Pogolana's have used the pogo stick for thousands of years, their official sports have long since upgraded to 'electric pogo sticks' for added power and spectacle.

So with Selinas instruction, the Holliday college constructed electric pogo sticks which would enhance the bouncing power between three to ten stories per bounce.

As the Holliday students began developing the game and practicing amongst one another, word of it spread to other schools such as Starvard who sneaking over to spy on the Holliday girls, asked to borrow an electric pogo-stick for them to copy the design of, a rule book for the game and before long, every college in the country had its own Pogo Polo team, with an American championship in development as the teams began to coordinate and iron out the rules.

Naturally Selina was the star player for the Holliday college team, and promised the Holliday girls a victory. And with team captain Etta Candy (Who is the captain of EVERY team) they had it in the bag~

So it was in their first game they went up against rival school Starvard college and their pogo polo team led by Oliver Sweetgulper, that the Holliday girls won by a landslide. But regardless of who one, everyone had a good time with this wonderful sport imported from Pogolana by Princess Selina.

Day 218: Braila

Amazon of Paradise Island, Braila was one of the Amazons who maintained the electric net guarding the island from harm, and ensured that the artificial atmospheric shield protecting the Island remained in working order.

One day, Diana received a telepathic call from her mother, asking her to visit for the weekend and revealed the good news. Braila was going to have a baby!

Naturally estatic by this news, Diana quickly flew back to Paradise Island and with many of the Amazons, she sat in rapt attention at Braila's work.

For when an Amazon decides it is time for her to have a child, she will form from clay her hearts desire, molding her childs likeness from what lies within her heart. It can take hours, it can take days, but it can never be rushed and only the mother will know when it is ready.

When Braila was satisfied, she prayed to Aphrodite to deliver her child and thus the goddess of love arrived. Aphrodite describing herself as the midwife for Braila's child, reached out to the Amazon, and drew out the child within her heart of hearts, the idea form of having a child which Braila treasured so closely, and placed it into the clay statue, giving it life.

The child calling Braila mother, leaped into her arms and Braila declared that she would call the child Rema. Hugging her darling daughter with a maternal glee much to the heart warming joy to the other Amazons.

The concept of 'Idea Forms' is a foundation for Wonder Womans golden age mythos, for it is established to be the true nature of Wonder Woman, the Amazons, and much of the universe itself.

For in Wonder Womans mythos the most powerful tool is that of the mind. And everything can be considered an idea. Gravity? An idea someone conceived which became a universal truth. Thermodynamics? Conceived in a dream.

The Amazons themselves were not simply born from clay and nothing else. They were born from Aphrodites own ideas of empowered women who sought peace and love instead of war. And the child the Amazons themselves bear such as Wonder Woman herself are born from the desires to have a child, leading to them creating a form for that idea which Aphrodite takes from their hearts and minds, and places it within the statues, giving them life.

Thus as with Diana and Hippolyta, Rema is truly Brailas daughter with no contributions from anyone else.

Day 219: Kengtung

The most diabolical of black market pogo stick technicians, Kengtung made his name in the underbelly of the criminal underworld of Pogolana for his brilliant mind and skill with pogo stick engineering. Boasting the ability to 'tweak' any pogo stick either by sabotaging it, or upgrading it ways that even the keenest of pogo stick appraisers would be unable to notice his handiwork, Kengtung was a name on the lips of every criminal in the nation.

Countess Hatra wanting his talents to aid her in conquering the island, she offered Kengtung the position of Prime Minister should he aid her in overthrowing her brother the king.

Thus Kengtung sabotaged the pogo sticks of the military, rendering them useless, and was about to gleefully accept his position as Prime Minister...When Hatra discovered that Princess Selina was still out there!

Thus desperate to get rid of Selina and end any chance of her plans being stopped, Selina took Kengtung and Captain Caw with her to the United States where in secret, they would plot to murder Selina!

Thus began a long series of overly complicated plans to do away with Princess Selina in secret. Sabotaging her pogo stick so it would shoot her up to the moon. Disguising themselves and trying to sell her poisoned cookies. Attempting to sneak into her room at night and murder her in her sleep. Yet each and every attempt failed utterly without Princess Selina even realizing she was in danger.

Finally Kengtung hatched a plan which involved sabotaging Selinas pogo stick again, a half dozen crocodiles, a canyon, a bunch of brown snakes which looked like lengths of rope, an avalanche, and four crates of dynamite.

But as Selina seemed doomed to die in this over the top attempt to end her life, who should arrive but Wonder Woman! Rescuing Princess Selina, Wonder Woman studied the rather unusual accident and using her keen deductive reasoning, came to the conclusion that it was no mere accident!

Horrified by this, Selina realized that it must be her aunt Countess Hatra, and revealed her true identity as princess of Pogolana. Concerned for her father, Selina declared that she needed to return back home to check up on him and make sure everything was okay, to which Wonder Woman insisted on giving her a ride. Etta and her pogo polo team naturally insisted on joining Selina, concerned for the safety of their fellow student.

And thus, Princess Selina headed back to Pogolana with Hatra, Kengtung, and Kaw flying after them, desperate to end Selinas life before she could reclaim the throne!

Day 320: Crime Brain Doone

The self proclaimed 'thinking criminal' Crime Brain Doone is a criminal with am ego, obsessed with his own 'brilliance' Focusing on committing crimes of blackmail and intellectual brokering, Doones men were spies across the higher echelons of society who would report information back to Doone who would try to turn that knowledge into profit.

When he received word about the thinking machine developed by Professor Calculus and Wonder Woman, Doone was ecstatic. While Diana and Calculus envisioned a machine which would solve all the worlds problems and lead mankind, Doone saw it as the perfect crime engine.

Knowing the machine was stored at the Holliday college, Doone and his men broke in and using a cargo plane, hauled off the device and in the process, they gnabbed Professor Calculus and Eve Brown. Threatening to kill Eve if Professor Calculus did not help them opperate the machine, Doone soon had a working thinking machine to do his bidding!

His first task of the machine was to have it rob fort knox! Not how to do so, he simply commanded the machine to rob fort knox. Professor Calculus protested that it was simply a thinking machine that was not capable of acting on its own but as he spoke, the thinking machine began calculating the 'atomic current' of the gold within fort knox and rewriting the 'atomic current' of the gold, it simply ceased to be in fort knox and appeared within Crime Brain Doones hideout.

Doone then proceeded to command the machine to bring him every crime leader across the world and once they appeared, Doone demanded that they follow him and become part of his new world order. One of them declared that if they tried that, Wonder Woman would surely defeat them but Doone growing over confident devised a plan.

Having the thinking machine take control of every transmission across the globe, Doone took responsibility for the theft of Fort Knox and declared that he was going to steal Wonder Woman and make her his lackey, and nobody could stop him because of the thinking engine!

Wonder Woman being an international treasure, naturally had the world governments trying to post guards and protect her at all costs. However Wonder Woman quickly deducing what was going on, placed a homing beacon on herself and asked Etta Candy and Steve Trevor to follow her and foil Doone.

Thus at the appointed hour Crime Brain Doone ordered the thinking machine to bring Wonder Woman to him, and when she arrived thanks to the thinking machine manipulating 'the atomic current, Doone commanded the device to make Wonder Woman into his lackey. Thus the machine began to manipulate the atomic currents so that Wonder Woman would obey Doones instructions but before the device could finish its task, Steve and Etta arrived, and destroyed the thinking machine!

In the confusion, Professor Calculus rescued Eve Brown, and Wonder Woman was able to capture Crime Brain Doone and every criminal leader in the world!

Thus with the day saved, Calculus and Wonder Woman began reconstructing the thinking machine, declaring that its first use upon being rebuild would be to find a way to better rehabilitate criminals.

Just as a foot note, the way this comic describes 'atomic current' is actually a pretty good summation of the wacky science of quantum mechanics.

Day 321: Captain Kaw

Captain of the Pogolana royal guard, Captain Caw was one of King Ritia's supposedly loyal vassals until Countes Hatra bribed him with wealth and power to betray Ritia and aid her in overthrowing him.

A professional knife thrower and sword master, Captain Kaw joined Hatra in her efforts to assassinate Princess Selina but upon failing, he joined her in a frenzied rush to stop Wonder Woman from rescuing king Ritia. Arriving shortly after Wonder Woman arrived, the trio were able to trick Wonder Woman and her compatriots into entering the palace court yard which they had replaced entirely with quicksand.


With Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls buried up to their necks in soil, Hatra declared that she would kill them all, doing away with Princess Selina and thus rule unchallenged! Thus, Hatra ordered Captain Kaw to present the royal elephants and force them to stampede across the court yard, killing the lot of them!

However as Kaw sent them stampeding, he did not count on the fact that Wonder Woman had the power to talk to animals and thus was able to convince the elephants to calm down. Panicking, Kaw was about to order Wonder Woman and the others shot when the people of Pogolana fearing for their king and princess who they loved dearly, rose up and lept over the palace walls with their pogo sticks to save the day!

While Captain Kaw led Hatras soldiers in her defense, Wonder Woman convinced the elephants to pull her out of the ground by her neck and thus after freeing Princess Selina, Etta Candy and the other Holliday girls, Wonder Woman proceeded to capture Kaw, Kengtung, and Hatra, ending their villainous reign, and freeing King Ritia who was being starved to death.

And thus so it was that Pogolana would go on to continue enjoying its golden age, secure in the knowledge that Selina would one day be its queen.

Day 322: Editor Brown

Chief editor of the Washington Clarion Newspaper, chief editor Editor Brown is a man suffering from high blood pressure and a short fuse, but is a man dedicated to his job and determined to get the news and spread the word no matter the cost!

In the early days when Wonder Woman first arrived from Paradise Island, she was running around helping people wherever she could. For Wonder Woman so determined to lend a helping hand, would foil a robbery or rescue a man from a burning building without saying a word, running off immediately to help the next person in need without pausing.

Editor Brown would recieve pictures of this mysterious do gooder. Very good quality pictures. However Editor Brown was not satisfied. He wanted interviews! He wanted answers! He wanted journalism! Instead all he was receiving was PICTURES! PICTURES OF WONDER WOMAN!

Pulling all of his journalists on this, he had them chasing down every lead they could of this mysterious hero of the people. He even commissioned a high powered race car so that a couple of his news boys could try and chase her down and get an interview!

But the closest any of Editor Browns newsies got to Wonder Woman was the time a paper boy was saved by her from an oncoming car.

She went on to convince a greedy landowner to donate to build a park for the children.

She captured a numbers racket.

She even caught a man attempting to jump from a bridge.

Despite that however, Wonder Woman slipped away every time before a reporter could arrive to even ask for her name.

Screaming and berating his reporters for failing to question Wonder Woman, Editor Brown drove many of his best people to quitting rather than work for the high strung man.

So frantic about covering this story was Editor Brown that he suffered a nervous breakdown, and wound up being hospitalized. Even unconcious, Editor Brown screamed about needing to see Wonder Woman. Needing to interview Wonder Woman. His desperation to cover the biggest scoop of the century was so great that the greatest medical minds were helpless to treat him.

Nurse Diana Prince would get word of this poor soul who was desperate to speak with Wonder Woman and totally be coincidence, the poor man was visited by the Amazonian Princess who sat at his bed side and with a smile, asked if he had any questions.

Pulling a pen and a note pad from under his pillow like any reporter would have, Editor Brown questioned Wonder Woman and soon discovered her story. The history of the Amazons. And Wonder Womans mission to bring love and peace to the world and make it a better place.

Editor Brown running from the hospital in his medical gown laughing, barged into Washington Clarion and running a special edition, he himself wrote the front page article telling the story of Wonder Woman complete with the very first interview anyone had had with Wonder Woman! Thus cementing Editor Brown as a journalistic legend.

Day 323: Nursa Cooper

A close friend of Wonder Womans, Nursa is a friend Diana made at the hospital when she took a nursing job and the identity of Diana Prince.

Initially Nursa was a skilled nurse, but she was hesitant to take initiative and would do whatever the doctors said, even if it was clearly wrong. However Wonder Woman recognizing Nursa's incredible talent, helped her to study and grow in her medical knowledge. Gaining the confidence that she was better able to treat patients, and was not afraid to tell doctors what they needed to hear, prioritizing the patients first and foremost.

However Nursa had a patient in her care who was wasting away. A college girl who after receiving an appendectomy, was wasting away from a condition that neither Nursa or her doctor recognized.

Wonder Woman concerned for the patients well being met with the patient for the first time and introduced herself to the college student for the first time. Revealing herself to be Etta Candy, she asked with a smile on her face how Diana was doing, seemingly unconcerned about her own deteriorating health.

Diana Prince examining Etta, discovered that Etta suffered from a medical condition in which her body had dangerously low levels of sugar in her body. The cause of which being Etta's strenuous academic curriculum of attending every class, sport, club, along with her regular routines which resulted in Etta burning more sugar in her body than she was getting in her daily diet.

Thus in order to save Etta, Diana hurried to the candy store and gave her the medical prescription of a box of bon bons. Warning Etta to eat healthy and not just gorge on candy, Diana explained to Etta Candy that she needed to consume candy to live!

Being saved by Diana, Etta declared Diana Prince to be her dear friend, and the two of them would go on to be one of her closest friends. The other of course being Wonder Woman.
