Year of Wonder Woman

Day 174: Eve Lectress

Daughter of princess Eve of Venus, Eve Lectress was her mothers thoughts and desire for a child given life who would grow and mature to become a young adult.

Having spent her entire life within the paradise of Eveland, Eve Lectress lived a happy and content life. But one day as she is wont, she went to the shore of the Eveland gardens to watch the ice flows bobbing along the circular current of the river of destruction.

When she went this day however, something was different, for instead of floating along, a solid bridge of ice had formed, crossing the river to the black ice cliffs beyond. Now despite her contentment in the garden, Eve Lectress couldn't help but be curious of what was out there. And just what secrets those caverns in the black ice cliffs held.

So it was that Eve Lectress crossed the river, and entering the cavern near the ice bridge, she found herself captured by the seal people! Taken before the king of the seal men, Eve Lectress confessed who she was, much to the kings delight and sending her to the electric gardens to toil until she went blind, King Rigor broadcast a message to Eve, the leader of Eveland.

He demanded that Eve send more of the women of Eveland to toil in his electric gardens, to serve as a work force to feed his people. Least Eve Lectress perish.

Eve, helpless to do anything but obey such a threat, did as he commanded, least her hostage daughter be harmed.

When Eve Lectress was joined by her fellow women of Eveland, Eve Lectress was ashamed of herself for causing such agony to her people. Thus determined that she would not be a hostage, Eve Lectress decided that she would escape!

But seeing the other women of Eveland held prisoner, the guilt in Eve Lectress was so great that she could not bear to face her mother again, the suffering she caused weigning on her conscience greatly.

Thus, Eve Lectress picked the lock of her chains and slipped out of the electric gardens, and ascended the icy caverns until she came across an entrance to the icy lands of Antarctica above. Cold, but refusing to return to either the garden or the seal people, Eve Lectress continued on, wearing not but a toga, Eve Lectress journeyed across the antarctic, looking for shelter until by chance, she stumbled upon an outpost.

Eve Lectress refused to reveal where she came from, and soon enough was ferried to the United States, relieved in her belief that her escape meant that King Frigid would not be able to use her to force her mothers hand.

Eventually arriving in the states, Eve Lectress would change her name to Nema, for fear that she might be discovered, not knowing if the seal men journeyed beyond their black ice caverns. She would be taken in by a kindly woman who explained to Nema how the modern world worked. Nema would soon dye her hair to go along with her efforts to bury her past, and live a simply life.

Eventually, the kindly woman noting Nema's intelligence and interest in knowledge, would arrange for Nema to be given a scholarship to the college she herself had gone to in the days of her own youth.

So it was that the former Eve Lectress now known as Nema enrolled in the Holliday College.

Day 175: Oscar Sweetgulper

self proclaimed fiance of of Etta Candys, Oscar Sweetgulper is a gangly student at Starvard University, which is a mere ten minute drive from the Holliday college.

A stick thin young man with ears, an adams apple, and a nose each half the size of his head, Oscar is a romantic at heart, who stares doefully at his one true love, with his tongue hanging out. That true love of course being...Sweets. For Oscar more than anything loves candies and will often go on dates with Etta, spending much of his time trying to steal candies from her purse.

Though second to candy, he does love Etta. To the point that he becomes jelous whenever a man shows an interest in Etta, or Etta begins flirting with someone. He will turn as red as a tomato and begin shouting in a voice described as squeaky.

If you were to ask Etta Candy herself however, she would flatly state that Oscar is her fall back last resort emergency escort for when she has a party to attend and she can't find a date. A statement she has told Oscar himself repeatedly, but he continues following after her despite Etta clearly voicing her disinterest in him as a serious relationship.

Now sure he doesn't look like much, he isn't that physically fit, he isn't actually that intelligent, and his personality is terrible, but Oscar Sweetgulper does have alot of heart.

For when a fiend after Etta for her money proposes to her and flies Etta to Texas, Oscar desperate to win Ettas love gets on a bicycle and pedals from Massachusetts to Texas through the night and well into the day, arriving at Etta's doorstep with a box of sweets at noon the next day while carrying a box of Ettas favorite chocolates in one hand, desperate to win her love.

Etta, having already delt with the no good nare do well, accepts the candy reluctantly and informs Oscar that she would only marry him if he was the last man on Earth.

Oscar, gleeful as can be, translates this to be the same as an engagement and thus declares himself to be her fiance for all to hear.

Day 176: Tim O'Rourke

An Irish citizen of the secret kingdom beneath Redwood Forest known as Shamrock Land, his ancestors having immigrated from Ireland five hundred years ago with the little people, years before Columbus made his journey.

His sister is Kathie O'Rourke, Tim is one of the many farmers in Shamrock Land who care for the fields and provide bountiful harvests for mortal and wee folk alike.

And secretly, he carries a torch for Princess Leda, who he visits regularly on his stops delivering fresh food to the castle.

Tim O'Rourke is best remembered however, for being the champion brick fighter of Shamrock Land.

Brick Fighting is a Shamrock Land sport played in the middle of a makeshift stadium with wooden bleachers. A large pile of bricks will sit at the center of the arena, and two opponents will run to the center of the ring, grab an arm full of bricks, run back to their designated spot twenty five feet apart from one another, and just begin lobbing bricks until their opponent loses consciousness.

If you run out of bricks, you are required to stand in place until your opponent has run out of bricks. Allowed to move your body so long as your feet remain firmly planted.

One day as Steve, Etta and Wonder Woman were exploring Shamrock Land, they happened to walk into the stadium unawares as Tim was practicing his brick throwing technique and not expecting someone to walk in front of his training dummy, Tim was startled as Steve got in the way and took a brick to the face.

Steve outraged by this, began hollering at Tim who having a bit of a temper himself and no patience for hot heads, started to go at it with Steve until he cooled down and declared that civilized folks settle their differences in a game of brick fighting.

So it was that Steve and Tim began going at it, lobbing bricks at one another and trying to bean eachother in the head enough times to lay one of em unconscious.

All while Etta and Wonder Woman sat in the bleachers, watching in bafflement at the two, not quite sure what the heck they were even doing.

Eventually thanks to Steves experience playing baseball, he was able to land a lucky hit and lay Tim out cold and upon recovering not a minute later, Tim had a big grin on his face, impressed by Steves throwing arm. Clapping Steve on the back, Tim offered Steve a drink and declared Steve to be his new best friend for having bested Tim in his beloved sport.

Day 177: Eve Leda
One of the 'daughters of Venus.' What the people of the beautiful gardens of Eveland refer to themselves as.

Leda like all the others, is the daughter of princess Eve, born from her mind and given form through Eves love and adoration.

One day, the seal people sent a messenger to them, claiming that Eve Lectress had fallen ill, and was asking for her mother. Eve beside herself with worry, went with the messenger of the seal people to see to her daughter, fearful for her health. Unaware that Lectress had escaped from the seal peoples domain and even now, was living life as a student at the Holliday college.

Leading Eve into their caverns, the seal people quickly imprisoned her, and having once again secured someone precious to the daughters of Venus, the seal people commanded them to send more of the women of Eveland across the ice flows, so they may serve as farmers for their electric gardens.

With Eve lost to them, the daughters of Venus despaired and Leda trusting in Aphrodite to save them, prayed to the goddess for aid.

And so it was that Aphrodite would appear before Wonder Woman and an assembly of Holliday Girls, declaring that the women of Eveland were asking for salvation, and bid her champion to resolve this conflict through love and peace.

Wonder Woman not about to let people in need suffer, swore she would help them, with Etta and the other Holliday girls following suit, always loving a good adventure!
Even Nema who looked grief stricken and guilty over the whole situation. Though she would not reveal the truth of things.

So it was that Wonder Woman flew over to ice black cliffs surrounding the forbidden garden, and sneaking in with Eve, Nema and the others, hurriedly rescued Even and the other women who were held captive and forced to care for the blinding electric gardens which had stricken many blind.
Nema, covering her face, recoiled from the daughters of Venus. But her attempts at deception and subterfuge were hopeless in the eyes of a mother, as Eve recognized her darling daughter on the spot.

Embracing Nema and knowing her to be Eve Lectress, Eve assured her daughter that she had nothing to apologize for, and they would return to the gardens of Eve to live in peace.
Much to the delight of Leda and the others of Eveland who had feared for their sisters.

Day 178: Tinhorn Rubberneck

Reporter for the Clarion newspaper, Tinhorn was a loud and nosy reporter whose earned a certain notoriety with officials of all walks thanks to his relentless talent for bluffing his way into a room where he doesn't belong.

Tinhorn was in for the scoop of his life when he saw Pastor Proposal pull out a gun in broad daylight, and attempted to gun down Phillip Darnell. He failed, and making an escape, managed to vanish into thin air. This in itself was a huge scoop, but ol Tinhorn knew something that everyone else who witnessed the incident was unaware.

Pastor Proposal had died of a gunshot last night.


Knowing there was more to this story than meets the eye, Tinhorn Rubberneck began shadowing Philip Darnell, certain that someone would make an attempt on the general once again. Claiming to be a clerk, Tinhorn snuck his way into army intelligence headquarters and hid under the secretaries desk which was luckily unoccupied.


And sure enough, fellow General Nemesis arrived into the office and attempted to murder Philip Darnell, only to be stopped by Wonder Woman! But as she grabbed for him, the man seemed to slip through her fingers like smoke, and ran out of the room. His appearance changing into that of Steve Trevors.

Hurrying out of the desk to give chase for the sake of his story, Tinhorn was lept over by Wonder Woman who quickly outpaced him in pursuit of the criminal.

Unsure of where Wonder Woman or the murderer went, the nosey reporter was about to return and ask general Darnell a few questions, only to be spotted by the real Steve Trevor, who recognizing Tinhorn, threw him out of the building.

Tinhorn not about to give up, put in a few calls and sure enough, General Nemesis had died earlier that same day. Getting some details of the incident from a photographer who covered the event, Tinhorn discovered that the general had been murdered by a man who was the splitting image of Pastor Proposal. Who was seen with a mysterious woman.

Getting her description, Tinhorn headed back to army intelligence, convinced that it would be the key to unearthing this story, only to be discovered by Wonder Woman herself who lassoing Tinhorn Rubberneck, asked why he was at Darnell's office earlier that day.

Tinhorn told his story to Wonder Woman, including the description of the woman whom Diana recognized as Joan White, Doctor Psychos former secretary.

And realizing that the criminal could be no other than the psychotic psychic himself, Wonder Woman thanked Tinhorn, but commanded him to stop following this story, as it was to dangerous.

Compelled by the lasso, the intrepid reporter was forced to drop it as Wonder Woman began her search for Psycho. And thus, Tinhorn Rubberneck headed back to the paper, only to be handed the funeral story for the wealthy philanthropist Lotsa Dough, whose open casket funeral would be held in her mansion which was to be donated to the museum along with her private collection of historical artifacts.

And so it was that Tinhorn began exploring the exhibit, taking pictures when...He was shot by a man bearing his own face. For Doctor Psycho wanting a new disguise and not wanting to risk the person he was imitating showing up to ruin his efforts, killed Tinhorn to take his place.

Doctor Psycho then declared that he would murder everyone Wonder Woman cares about to make her suffer before putting the heroine out of her misery...Just as the Holliday girls arrived, having been sent to study some of the keen relics which were going up on display.

Seeing the dying Tinhorn, with his doppleganger standing over him, the Holliday girls gave chase, only for Doctor Psycho to form a tyranosaurus Rex and an army of cavemen out of astral energy to do battle with the Holliday Girls as he made a hasty retreat.


Barley holding their own against the large dinosaur, Etta telepathically contacted Wonder Woman for help which quickly arrived, and soon the lot of Doctor Psychos manifestations vanished like a series of bubbles popping and fading away into nothingness.

With the Holliday girls taking the real Tinhorn Rubberneck to the hospital where he would stay for the next few weeks, Wonder Woman pondered where Doctor Psycho would strike next...But with no leads, Diana returned to army intelligence headquarters...To discover the splitting image of Tinhorn Rubberneck going through army records!


Seeing Diana Prince, Doctor Psycho attempted to murder her, causing such a commotion that Steve and Philip Darnell hurried to see what was amiss. Doctor Psycho not liking his odds, vanished into the astral plane.

Diana realized that Psychos multiple attempts on Darnell specifically must have been to get into those files and using her trained memory, she was able to locate the drawer and section the doppleganger was reading through when she arrived, discovering it was the current contact information of Marva Jane Gray, Doctor Psychos ex wife.

Deducing that Doctor Psychos goal was to bring Jane under his thrall once again, Diana contacted Janes WAAC base to discover that she was on leave, and that she was attending a party held at the Holliday college which she had been invited to by Etta Candy.

So going along to the party with Steve in tow, Diana stayed close to Jane Gray to keep her safe. But the only curious thing that happened was the notorious deviant lover Tyrone Gayblade flirting with Etta Candy while being accompanied by his mother who stared off into the distance in a trance-like state.

Tyrone while eying Steve Trevor and Diana prince attempted to woo Etta, trying to convince her to go someplace more private with him. With Etta unaware that this was in reality Doctor Psycho, plotting to murder Etta and take her place, so he could catch Steve and Diana unawares, murder them, and kidnap Jane Grey to further his plans of making Wonder Woman suffer.

By a stroke of luck however, Oscar Sweetgulper who had invited himself to the party saw this and in a fit of rage, threw his glass of punch at Tyrone Gayblade. But Oscar lacking any sort of accuracy, instead threw the punch into the face of Tyrones supposed mother. The cold juice jolting the woman from her trance, her sudden awareness caused Doctor Psychos astral illusions to fall apart, revealing the pair of them for who they truly were.


And with that, Wonder Woman was able to easily capture Doctor Psycho once again, handing him over to Steve to take into custody. Realizing how much danger Jane and Joan were in from the wicked doctor, she personally trained the pair of them in mental resistance so that they would be proof against Doctor Psychos hypnotic powers ever more.

As for Tinhorn Rubberneck, he got a bullet wound and a lengthy hospital stay for his trouble, but he did get quite the scoop. His story making the front page in fact. (With a fair bit of flourish regarding his own role in things of course.)

Day 179: Topso and Teena
A pair of baby faced diminutive mobsters, Topso and Teena are known as two of the most elusive criminals in all the world, and have fashioned an empire with their escapades.

Having very child-like features, this pair of crooks will disguise themselves as children and pull off cunning robberies of priceless artifacts, taking advantage of their disguises to crack vaults and still vast fortunes, with nobody thinking to question the pair of innocent tots who are beyond suspicion.

Smuggling jewels and weapons within candy, the pair of them would escape unseen back to their headquarters where their minions laud over the criminal overlords who away from the prying eyes of the public, will chain smoke extensively. Yet despite this, they never suffer any damage to their voices somehow.

Always working as a pair, the two of them rarely disagree. Always working together for the promise of vast riches.
When they do disagree however, its generally because Topso has his sights on a pretty woman.

So it was that the two criminals narrowly escaped with a sack of stolen diamonds when Wonder Woman arrived to the scene, trying to find out what the problem was.
Topso seeing her, declared that he would seduce Wonder Woman and make her his!

Thus the short crime boss doubled back and approached Wonder Woman and tried to woo her....While maintaining his disguise of a five year old child.
Wonder Woman understandably uninterested and more than a little disturbed by such advances, asked the little boy where his parents were, just as Teena grabbed Topso by the arm and pulled him into the getaway car with their criminal underlings to make their escape!

Wonder Woman recognizing a few of the faces in that car as criminals the police were currently searching for, assumed the mobsters were kidnapping the poor children and dashed after the vehicle! Catching up with it, she picked it up and carried it off to the police station with everyone still inside.

Topso and Teena thinking Wonder Woman saw through their ruse, jumped out as the car was placed on the ground and took shots at Wonder Woman. Not realizing that Wonder Woman would be able to effortlessly be able to deflect their shots.

Caught in the lasso as a pair, the two of them confessed to their crimes and revealed where they had hidden their ill gotten gains.

Day 180: King Rigor

King of the seal people who live within the black ice cliffs which surround the garden of Eveland, King Rigor puts his people first above all else, including the well being of others.

He possesses the secrets of 'Ice Steel' a secret process known only to the seal people which reforges ice so that it does not melt and has a solidity rivaling steel itself.


The seal men simultaneously worship and fight against the twenty foot long fire breathing walruses which prey upon the seal people. Assaulting them whenever they journey into the icy waters beyond their black cliffs, and on occasion breaking through the icy walls that make up their tunneled home to try and feed upon them.

Obsessed with feeding himself and in a close second, tending to his people, King Rigor ordered a group of his men to wearing blind folds, sneak into Eveland and kidnap some of the locals to take them back into the black ice cliffs where they may harvest the seal peoples electric garden!

Upon discovering King Rigors treachery, Eve stood at the shore of Eveland and demanded their return.
Only for king Rigor to threaten to slay them unless more slaves were provided to tend to the electric garden. He elaborately described a plot to lock them in his murder room. Which elaborately involved binding a victim to a metal table which would become electrified if they broke free of their bonds. While a carefully nurtured stalagtite slowly grew downwards to impale the victim. All while the room slowly flooded with hyperatomic acid, which gave off a noxious poisonous gas which could kill anyone who inhaled it.

But just as it seemed that Eve was going to give into his demands, Wonder Woman arrived!
Carving a hold through the black ice cliffs and sealing it shut behind her from the frigid waters above, Wonder Woman explored the black ice caverns until she found the captive women and rescued them!

But on their way back to Eveland, disaster struck when a twenty foot long fire breathing walrus smashed its way in through the black ice to try and eat the seal people! Wonder Woman quickly lasso's the women of eveland and the seal people from the fire breathing walrus's tusky maw, and grabbing the animal by the tusks, she pushed it back out of the caverns and dragged it up out of the ocean so they could talk.

Wonder Woman explained to the walrus that it was impolite to eat the seal people and asked it to go after something more appetizing like mollusk instead. The walrus being the reasonable sort when you spoke to it in its native language agreed, and swam off.

Thus Wonder Woman returned to the black ice caves before the awe struck seal people which included King Rigor.
Wonder Woman seeing the king, approached him and pushed him to accept a more peaceful solution. A possibility that King Rigor was very willing to accept after Wonder Woman put an end to the fire breathing walrus's reign of terror.

So it was that Wonder Woman got Eve and King Rigor together and hashed out a peace treaty. The seal people would defend Evelands borders and provide their refrigeration and ice steel technology to those of Eveland, and the people of Eveland would cultivate the food of Eveland and send it to the seal people so they would never go hungry.

Day 181: Syonide Hypoxia

Infamous homicidal maniac, Syonide is a man with mental disorders which he suffered after taking a blow to the head. After which, he just went and murdered fourteen people in graphically gruesome ways.

Not considered responsible for his own actions, Syonide was sent to the Tomb home for the criminally insane. There he was locked within a room within a room within a room and required to wear a straight jacket at all times when outside of his rooms.

Due to a freak fire breaking out in a freak accident, orderlies began to remove patients from their rooms to get them to safety, giving Syonide the chance he needed to incapacitate his guards and make a run for it, cackling madly.

Slipping into the neighboring graveyard and gothic horror statuary collection as he made his escape, Syonide came upon a rickety and seemingly abandoned house which he decided to hide out in so that the orderlies wouldn't find him.

Upon entering through the front door however, Syonide was rather confused to find a well lit living room filled with people laughing and cackling madly.

Seeing the serial killer wearing an unstrapped straight jacket, someone handed him a glass of punch and insisted he come in.

For what Syonide did not realize, is that Etta Candy was throwing a party. For this was haloween night and to celebrate, she wanted to throw a party at this abandoned manor, using the fact that it neighbored an insane asylum and a graveyard to add to the ambiance.

Declaring it a maniac party, Etta required everyone to come to the party dressed as a madman to fit the theme, and thus Syonide was walking around feeling very confused and wondering if he had gone even crazier. For seeing everyone laughing and acting completely bonkers, Syonide began to think that he simply imagined leaving Tomb.

It wasn't until he saw Oscar Sweetgulper sneaking in through a window complaining about not being invited to the party and wondering why everyone was pretending to be insane that Syonide realized that it was all just a game.

Realizing that he was outside of the asylum, Syonide looked around for a knife and began grabbing up the drunken partiers and dragged them into the manors basement, locking them in one at a time until the entire party was brought downstairs. And then, he took a tank of gas from one of the vehicles outside and began pouring it around the house, intending to kill the forty some college students in a house fire!

But even as the house burst into flame, Etta Candy sent a telepathic message to Wonder Woman who arrived on the scene just in time to rescue the college kids who had soured on partying for the rest of the night.


Catching Syonide, Wonder Woman returned him to the Tomb home for the criminal insane in the hopes that he would eventually be be cured of his mental ailments.

Day 182: Rudolph Hessenpfeffer

The notorious 'Gentleman killer' Rudolph Hessenpfeffer is a contract assassin who prides himself in his behavior as an honorable gentleman. Never seen without his top hat, monocle, cane, and opera gloves, Rudolph cuts a noble figure and will take a bow whenever he takes a life.

Rudolph always one for tradition, prefers to settle things as a true gentleman would. Through heavy artillery and explosive payloads. Despite always wearing evening dress, the gentleman killer possessed a seemingly endless supply of hand guns, grenades, and land mines which did not encumber his maneuverability, and could be pulled seemingly from nowhere.

Contracted to assassinate the president of the United States, Rudolph had fitted a series of landmines beneath his podium as the president was about to make a speech. And he would have succeeded were it not for Etta Candy noticing the wiring under the podium by chance as she tripped.


Thanks to Etta, Steve and Wonder Woman the president was saved, but Rudolph had gotten away, having thrown grenades into the crowd as a distraction.
By the time Wonder Woman was able to grab all of the grenades and throw them safely into outer space, Rudolph had escaped.

The trio were in pursuit of the gentleman killer, determined to bring him to justice. Perusing him until he found himself in the Redwood forest.

Finding a secret entrance, he climbed inside and discovered the little people discussing plans to help the children of the world. Stealing the hammers of the leprechauns, Rudolph continued on until he discovered Shamrock Land, and plotted to subjugate the locals and declare himself a king. As any gentleman is wont to do naturally.

Before he could do anything however, he was hit a fairy dart by one of the leprechauns. A fairy dart of course, is a rubber suction dart which will force the target to do anything he is commanded. Demanding the return of their golden hammers, he complied, and they removed the dart, letting him off with a warning.

Unbeknownst to the leprechauns however, he picked their pockets, stealing a handful of darts for himself. And bending a group of irish toughs to his will using the darts, Rudolph Hessenpfeffer began to subjegate the populace!

By the time Wonder Woman arrived, Rudolph had much of the land bent to his will, and Queen Moonbeam helpless to act, for he had booby trapped several of the locals with explosives which would kill them with the press of a button.

Wonder Woman not about to see the people enslaved, drew the attention of his men and removed their darts, freeing them from his control, while Etta and Woggle the Leprechaun snuck into Rudolphs castle to free the prisoners with Etta's mastery of bomb defusal.

With Steve crashing into the the castle with his friend Tim O'Rourke, the two tackled Rudolph, knocking him out as Wonder Woman rescued the last of the innocents under Rudolphs sway.

With that, Rudolph was captured, his reign of terror at an end and peace in Shamrock land restored once more.

Day 183: Lorrie Libel

Student of the Holliday college, Lorrie is an insecure young woman who frequently struggles with her studies and failing grades. Despite pulling all nighters and stressing constantly over her scores, Lorrie continued to fail.


She would look on at the likes of Etta Candy and Eve Brown who would party all night yet despite that, pass their classes with top scores, filling her with endless frustration.

Her stress and insecurities over her failing grades led Lorrie to lashing out at others with venomously slanderous remarks. Insulting others to make herself feel better.

Etta would confront Lorrie about this and realizing the source of the Holliday girls woes, offered to help her study for the next test and assured her it would be fine. But Lorrie, enraged that she was getting offers for help from the biggest party animal (And highest scoring) student in the college, refused this offer, and locked herself away in her room crying.

Distraught and emotional about her grades, Lorrie wailed that she would rather leave this Earth than be in the situation she was in. Though she was not sincere in her declaration, she drew the attention of King Pluto who was flying around the world in search of a woman to spirit away to his home planet.

King Pluto believing her to be sincere, flew into her room and grabbing Lorrie, carried her off to his home planet to enlighten it.

The commotion getting the attention of the Etta Candy and the Holliday girls, they alerted Wonder Woman and joined her on a rescue mission to Pluto, freeing his captives and ensuring that King Pluto would not kidnap anyone again.

With Lorrie finally back at the college, the terrible experience helped her to put things in perspective and actually helped to alleviate her stress. So accepting Etta Candys offer to help, Lorrie would go on to improve her grades and do well in the Holliday college.

Day 184: Great Solo
High Master of the Masters of Neptunia, Great Solo is a man of Neptune, an oceanic planet where continents float on the oceans surface. Great Solo is a cunning man with a dream of conquest tied to a code of honor and brutal efficiency.

Insisting he is the ruler of Neptune, Great Solo is in fact only the ruler of his continental nation of Neptunia, which he LOUDLY insists is the greatest nation in the world. (Despite every other nation on the planet firmly stating otherwise.)

Like many a Neptunian, Great Solo is knowledgable of the universe at large, thanks to the invention of Intergalactic radio, which picks up all of the errant broadcasts which travel across the cosmos, allowing them to study and learn from the other societies out there, thanks to the errant broadcasts.

The planet Neptune is home to a vast ocean of life, from which all life is born, and upon dying, is returned to the sea. This includes the men of Neptune who are born from the sea itself. On the planet Neptune, only males are born. Newborns washing ashore as the sea is in their bones and serves as their life blood.
The only lady on the planet Neptune be the ocean itself from which all life is born, though the sea be a cruel mistress matey.

While the planet of Neptune and its cultures lack things like sugar and sweets, they are the unparalleled masters of water across the cosmos, capable of doing things with water that has even the great scientists of Saturn shaking their head in awe.

Such as special chemical compounds which can be placed in mines and detonated remotely to repel water for miles, forming in the middle of the ocean, a giant bare patch where the water just pulls away from the source, leaving the ocean floor barren, and huge walls of water shadowing it on all sides.

One day, a terrible catastrophe befell the planet Neptune. Due to an unusual alignment of the planets, every planet in the solar system was on the opposite side of the sun from Neptune, creating a 'cluster of gravitational energy' Which was so strong, that it pulled the entire continent of Neptunia out of the ocean, and sent it hurtling through space, right into the Earth!

Aphrodite, seeing this oncoming catastrophe, commanded the Amazons to take to their fleet of invisible planes. For Aphrodite predicted where it would fall. Thus for the first time in three thousand years, the Amazons left their island and lead by Hippolyta and Wonder Woman, evacuated islands, pulled ships out of the water, redirected marine life, and began the construction of protective barriers along the outlying coasts, just in time as a continent the size of Australia made impact with the Earth, crashing into the pacific ocean a relatively short distance north of Hawaii.

This led to terrific tremors, and terrible tsunamis, but thanks to Aphrodites forewarning, no lives were lost in the incredible event. Once the after effects were dealt with, Wonder Woman was joined by Steve Trevor who explained that he had orders to investigate the new land mass. He was joined by Professor Astronomo, who was quite peeved, as he had predicted this very event over a month ago, but nobody would believe him or heed his warnings.

Thus Wonder Woman joined Steve, Astronomo, a half dozen delegates and naturally Etta Candy led by the Holliday girls, to investigate this new continent. Traveling on a ship, they neared the shores of the mysterious new continent when they came under attack by a group of men in iron divers outfits, riding upon horse sized bullet proof flying tentacle fish!

Wielding electric paralasis rays, the Neptunians began to disable the crew of the vessel, claiming it for their own. That is until Wonder Woman with help from the Holliday girls, unseated the riders and dragged them aboard their vessel!

Binding them in her magic lasso, Wonder Woman unmasked them and asked one of them who he was. He revealed himself to be Great Solo, High Master of the masters of Neptunia, and explained how Neptunian astronomers had predicted the catastrophe years in advance, and to protect themselves Neptunia formed a bubble of water around their continent to protect themselves from harm until they landed on the Earth.

He goes on to explain the nature of Neptune and its people, and the discovery that Neptune has no women disturbs Wonder Woman greatly, for the very notion is alien and bizarre to her. Convinced that such a planet must be a world of endless conflict and war, she states as such, only for Great Solo to correct Wonder Woman, and explain the truth.

For the people of Neptune ward off wars influence with 'love for their fellow men' and have developed a rigid caste system and a state of armed truce, to ensure a peaceful co-existence and a society which while stifling, ensured peace.

Wonder Woman would have disbelieved this were Great Solo not wearing the lasso of truth, and explained that she wanted to ensure peace between the nations of Earth and Neptunia. With that, Wonder Woman removed the magic lasso from Great Solo, deciding that he was sincere.

Unaware that in reality, Great Solo upon discovering this catastrophe, had plotted long in advance to take advantage of it and use this chance to enslave the planet Earth, and add it to his empire. Counting on the fact that Earthlings were blind to their own oceans, and would not notice as Great Solo conquered the fourths of their world before claiming the rest. A world that Great Solo was convinced would not be able to defend itself as easily as the other nations of Neptune did against his efforts at world domination.

Day 185: Princess Elaine

Ruler of the humans of Shamrock land, Elaine lives within an enchanted castle of tall towers and looming parapets, fashioned with magic by Queen Moonbeam.

Princess Elaine is the keeper if the gold used to fashion the leprechauns golden hammers, and the jewels from which the dresses of the little people are fashioned.

A duty she accepts with little seriousness, as jewels and gold have little value in Shamrock land.

Elaine wears beautiful gowns and attends all of the events arranged by Queen Moonbeam, serving as the representative of the humans of Shamrock land. But in reality, Elaine sees her position as rather frivolous, since Queen Moonbeam does all of the actual work. She has even suggested just stepping down, though not only Queen Moonbeam, but the people of Shamrock land itself protested this, stating that she serves a vital purpose to the governance of the land.

Thus, Elaine will wile away her days with walks through the land, chatting with her friends. And make a point to make it back to her throne room at eleven on the dot every day, for people to come in and say hello, tell her about the crops, and give her the latest news about newborn cows and any juicy gossip about the latest couple.

For while Elaine is not involved in the actual governance of Shamrock land, she gives the people piece of mind, and she is a friendly face whose easy to talk to. Which is wonderful to have with royalty.

Though Elaine is a princess, she dreams of living a simple life as a pig herder.

After being rescued from the Gentleman Killer, Elaine would go on to marry Tim O'Rourke, the champion brick fighter of Shamrock land.

Day 186: S-1

'Mechano servant' of Great Solo, S-1 is the leader of Great Solos Seraglio of servants, and like all of Great Solos servicemen, he wears naught but a loincloth over his oiled abs. A Neptunian with a talent for animals, S-1 is unmatched in his deep connection with tigerapes.

When Great Solo brought Wonder Woman and her friends to the continent of Neptunia, they would find themselves being lead to 'Lakonga' the capital city of Great Solo's continental country.


Sitting next to a fresh water lake which the flying tentacle fish made their home, the Neptunians had constructed 'the Palace of the Master of Masters' out of crystallized solid water. For the Neptunians as the greatest minds in the field of water science, have developed the means of creating solid structures out of their precious water.

Upon arriving, Great Solo would be met by his servants, and he would introduce them, explaining that they were 'Mechano servants' Men who underwent a process which transformed them into organic robots.

Pulling S-1 aside, Great Solo whispered to his reliant helper, and left to introduce Wonder Woman to the masters of Neptunia who served as statesmen for the country.

S-1 complying with Great Solos request, brought out the masters collection of Tiger-Apes. Creatures native to Neptune with an apes build, but the pigmentation, claws and fangs of a tiger. The Holliday girls were awed by this curious creature which looked quite strange to them.

Professor Astronomo however, took one look at the tigerape and was instantly reminded of a colleague back at the Holliday college. Using a portable radio, Professor Astronomo made a call back to the Holliday college. And sure enough, within a matter of hours, a plane flew overhead, with Professor Zool parachuting down, having rushed to the continent of Neptunia as fast as humanly possible!

For Professor Astronomo was well familiar with the evolutionary professors fascination with apes, and calling him up, knew that Professor Zool could not resist examining an ape from another world.

And indeed, Professor Zool was beyond excited. Deputizing the Holliday girls to aid him in his studies, they examined the tiger ape, studied its behavior, diet, and biology to great detail. Professor Zool even began fashioning tigerape costumes for everyone just to see how the tigerape would react to seeing them all wearing them, when S-1 commanded the Tigerape to attack!

Snarling, the trained Tigerape raised its deadly claws and attempted to tear the Holliday girls to ribbons! But S-1 did not count on the Holliday girls being able to take care of themselves. Moving as one, the girls grabbed the tigerape by the arm as it swung down and threw him, sending the ape careening into a wall. And before S-1 could react, Etta Candy had crossed the room and with one punch, sent him careening into Wonder Woman who had hurried back to the others after hearing the commotion.

Getting the story from Etta, Wonder Woman turned her magic lasso on S-1 to discover what was actually going on.

S-1 revealed that Great Solo was not truly the ruler of Neptune as he claimed. In reality, he was the ruler of one of many nations on the planet, and was reviled by the rest of the world for his villainy and efforts of conquest. For Great Solo not only knew about the the coming catastrophe which would bring the Neptunian continent to Earth, but prepared for it, intending to conquer the planet Earth. Adding it to his collection of enslaved planets alongside planet Femina.

He confessed to being ordered by Great Solo to sic the tiger ape on the Holliday girls, intending to kill them as a distraction while the other servants of Great Solo captured Steve Trevor and converted him into a mechano servant.

Wonder Woman, surprised that it was possible to turn someone into a mechano, asked how this was done, and S-1 explained that as all Neptunians are born of the sea, they have salt water in their veins. Thus, Great Solo concocted an elaborate method of draining the salt water from a persons body, and replacing it with fresh water, effectivly making the recipient into a zombie. A state which could only be cured by bathing in the salty water of the ocean while eating a bag of salt.

Wonder Woman, knowing quite alot about human biology, had a sinking feeling about this and commanding S-1 to go un-mechano himself, ran to Steves rescue, to find him sitting on a table, with a pair of mechano servants puzzling over why Steve wasn't moving after having his blood replaced with fresh water.

One of the two, pointed out the odd red color of Steves 'sea water' and hypothosized that it might be full of metal and dirt, as he was an 'earth'ling after all.

Before they could work out why the mechano process was not working on Steve however, Wonder Woman lasso'd the pair and hurriedly reversed the process, draining the water from Steves veins and pumping the blood back in. Fortunatly, the Neptunians kept Steve in stasis during the whole process, so he awoke non the wiser as to what just happened.

So with the revelation that Great Solo was up to no good, Wonder Woman lead Steve and the Holliday girls to put an end to Great Solos treachery!

As for S-1, he would go on to regain his sense of self after bathing in the ocean and consuming a bag of salt. Free of Great Solos control, he would return to his life before becoming Great Solos slave, and rebuilt his tigerape circus, and traveled the world. He would gather audiences even greater than what he had back on Neptune. Thanks in no small part to Tigerapes being an alien species which were fascinating to people the world over.

Day 187: Hoppy

A leprechaun native to Shamrock land, Hoppy is well known for his habit of slipping off into the outside world to patrol the world, protecting children and keeping them from harm all year round.

One day however, Hoppy came across a gaggle of children who were stealing! Horrified, Hoppy followed, invisible to the youngins, and saw them taking purses and money to a villain named Shark who accepting the belongings, waved the children off. Sending them scampering away in terror.

Watching them off, The Shark gloated how he tricked those children into serving as couriers for his fenced goods, and was able to blackmail the children, threatening to out their criminal activity unless they worked for him to steal loot for him.

Hoppy horrified by this, knew that he needed to stop the Shark! So remembering the heroine who had aided Shamrock land in the past, Hoppy went to visit Wonder Woman at her apartment in Queens, to ask her for advice.

Wonder Woman listening to his explanation, only had one question: Where did Hoppy get the armful of jewels and purses which he was carrying when he walked into her place?

To which Hoppy replied that he didn't want the children to get in trouble for stealing those things, so he took them.

Now while leprechauns and the little people are invisible to those who do not believe in them, the same cannot be said for fashion accessories. Thus when a pair of policemen saw a dozen purses and a random assortment of rings and necklaces floating in the air down the street, they followed in pursuit.

And so it was that Wonder Woman was arrested for stealing purses and hiding out in the apartment of Diana Prince. The police drew their knockout gas guns (which would expel pellets of chloroform) That had been provided to every officer in the city by the chief of police, and asked Wonder Woman to surrender, and she did without putting up a struggle. Confident in the knowledge that the truth would prevail, and that she need not fear the criminal justice system.

Hoppy however felt very guilty about getting Wonder Woman imprisoned for what he did, and decided to rescue her!

So sneaking into the jail where she was being held, Hoppy grabbed one of the knock out guns and used it to render the guards unconscious! Then grabbing up Wonder Woman whom he had also accidentally rendered unconscious, he carried her out of the prison and to safety!

When Wonder Woman came to and discovered what happened, Diana politely, asked Hoppy to stop helping. She assured Hoppy that he didn't need to do any of that, and that the Shark would be brought to justice by law enforcment, who would not go after the children who had been blackmailed.

Hearing everything Wonder Woman said (Except for the part about needing to stop.) Hoppy was ecstatic at the revelation that the police would deal with Shark! So running back to Sharks hideout, Hoppy grabbed Shark and began carrying the criminal down the street to the police station.

Panicking and screaming as some invisible force began running down the street with Shark kicking in the air, he drew his gun and began frantically firing under him to try and free himself!

But since Leprechauns are immune to bullets, Hoppy was not fazed and entering the police station, Shark quickly drew the attention of numerous policemen who didn't take kindly to someone firing an unregistered gun within city limits.

A search of Sharks apartment would turn up a number of missing items, and the children would eventually come forward to testify, clearing Wonder Woman of the theft charges, leaving her with the jail break charge to deal with.

And thus Hoppy successfully rescued the children from a life of crime, proving the lerpechaun to be a great hero who saves children in need!

We really need more heroes like Hoppy the Leprechaun. XD

Day 188: Adolph Black

The self proclaimed 'American Hitler' Adolph was an American born nazi who sought to spread Hitlers ideals across the nation and conquer America in his name.

To do this, Adolph wrote a book titled 'the crime manifesto' and began distributing it across the country using the black market. With the book detailing Adolph's fictional accounts of a vast criminal empire that in reality controlled every criminal organization in the country!

Criminals would hear this rumor and being a superstitious and cowardly lot, were convinced it was true. They began falling in line, answering to Adolph, with those who didn't finding themselves executed by the other criminals in order to appease their new master.

Consolidating his power, Adolph planned to stage a blitz on the prisons of the country, raiding them en masse and emptying them of their criminals as a show of his power and influence. Plotting to in one fell swoop, increase his numbers and demoralize the nation.

What he did not count on however was for a racketeer fearing for his life, to flee into the army intelligence building and turn himself in, confessing to the entire thing for fear that Adolph Black would kill him.

Wonder Woman not about to let another nazi regime be born after all that hard work getting rid of the last one, leaped to action! However since American Adolph would be striking every jail in the country at the same time, even Wonder Woman was powerless to stop them all on her own!

Thus she contacted the Holliday girls who at Wonder Womans order, traveled across the country, a half dozen students stationed at every jail in the world, preparing to hold off those criminal armies with some small assistance from the American military.

And so it was that American Adolph struck! Hitting every jail at once and expecting to take them by surprise, he instead found the tables turned as Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls were ready and waiting, not only holding back Adolph's forces, but capturing them as well! (Which made getting them imprisonsed a short jaunt.)

Wonder Woman anticipating that Adolph would strike the biggest target, had stationed herself at the jail for world super criminals alongside Steve Trevor and Etta Candy, when the criminal mastermind pulled up riding a tank!

Attempting to blast the walls of the jail, Adolph was beside himself with shock when Wonder Woman caught the shell in midair and tossed it back at the tank, smashing its gun.

Trying to make a run for it, Adolph ordered his driver to retreat, only for Wonder Woman to run down, pick up the tank, and carry it into the prison whereupon she turned it upside down and shook it until everyone inside fell out, including Adolph Black.

And so it was that Wonder Woman put an end to Adolphs criminal schemes once and for all!

Day 189: Stalthon

One of the masters of Neptunia, the continent formerly of Neptune. Stalthon is one of the highest ranking officials in the land. Second only to Great Solo himself.

Stalthon loathed Great Solo and would take an opportunity to bring Solo down and claim his position. But more than that, he valued his own position and adding to his fortunes.

Thus when Great Solo concocted his plan to use the disaster of the continental movement to conquer the Earth, Stalthon agreed, plotting to imprison Great Solo if given the chance, and live a life of luxury either way.

Thus when guards began screaming about Wonder Woman storming the palace of crystalized water, having survived the trap with the Tigerape, Stalthon used this opportunity to demand Great Solo steps down. Even as they were facing certain defeat at Wonder Womans hands and despite them facing a crisis they could not afford to be distracted against, Stalthon couldn't resist using this as an opportunity to knock down their leader, in an effort to take his place.


So while Great Solo was arguing with the masters of Neptunia, Wonder Woman had made her way into their great hall with Steve, and the Holliday girls in tow.

Stalthon declaring he would defeat Wonder Woman himself and prove he was the one fit to replace Great Solo, drew his magno net and water whip, designed to capture and not harm his opponents.

Stalthon was able to stroke Wonder Woman with the water whip which clung to her bracelets like glue thanks to their 'sticky water' properties. Soon followed by the magno net which upon spreading into the air, would pull down, drawn to the magnetic force of a planet.

Despite her arms being bound and trapped within a net that pulled her down with the force of the earth, Wonder Woman did not give up! Reaching through the net, Wonder Woman threw the magic lasso with her teeth, binding Stalthon, commanding him to free her.

With Stalthon bound in his own net, Wonder Woman returned to the scuffle to find Great Solo had pulled out a 'steam gun' which consisted of an engine strapped to his back attached to a hose which fired torrents of pressurized steam which was designed to destroy walls in seconds.

Wonder Woman seeing him turn the steam gun on the Holliday girls, used her magic lasso to catch the nozzle, and pulled the gun and Great Solo with it, across the room! Thus bound, Great Solo. Stalthon and the others were captured, their schemes over with.

And thus Wonder Woman would use a sky kanga to ship the masters and master of master back to Neptune where they would face their punishment at the hands of their own people.

Day 190: Servilia Domina

Daughter of Senator Lanatus of ancient Rome, Servilia was a learned woman with a passion for the roman sports. Knowledgeable about politics and law, Servilia had her fathers ear, and would help him with his decisions.

One day, a group of roman politicians approached Senator Lanatus, asking him to run against Dictator Sulla in the next election as the judge of their precinct, hoping to oust the tyrant who would use his power to declare those who opposed him traitors, and have them executed on the spot.

Senator Lanatus was hesitant, seeing it as dangerous, but with the urging of the politicians, Servilia appealed to her father, pointing out that if the intent to run was made publicly, Dictator Sulla would dare not sentence Lanatus for fear of earning the anger of the emperor himself.

Convinced, Lanatus did so, and the political party opposed to Judge Dictator Sulla were gaining ground, set to cast him down.

This all changed however, when Servilia was approached by her suitor Calvus, who having been bribed by Dictator Sulla, told Servilia to make her father Lanatus withdraw his attempted to run, declaring that if Servilia really loves him, she would do so.

Servilia easily conned, did so, and with Lanatus no longer under the watchful eye of Romes political powerhouses, faced the ire of Dictator Sulla who ordered his men to capture Senator Lanatus, and all of his family and household to be executed as traitors.

Servilia, going out to meet her suitor Calvus, was gnabbed on the streets by Roman soldiers who had orders from Dictator Sulla to capture her and bring her to be publicly executed.

Servilia screamed, crying out for help, her fate seeming certain, when suddenly she was saved by an unexpected face.

For passing by was a well rounded woman being carried in a carpentrum, eating drops of burbon candy. Seeing these soldiers man-handling the poor Servilia, She rose from her carpentrum and pointing an accusing finger at the military men, commanding them to unhand Servilia in the name of Vesta!


For this was Vestel Fulvira, a vestal virgin, follower of the goddess Vesta and seeing her, the soldiers dropped to their knees, declaring that they were simply acting on the orders of Dictator Sulla. Fulvira ordered them to let Servilia go, and at her command they did so without question and walked away without a word of protest.

With them gone, Vestel Fulvira asked Servilia what happened and hearing her story, the vestal virgin concluded that Calvus was working for Dictator Sulla. She urged Servilia to see to her father and warn him away before he was executed, but Servilia refused to believe her and trusting that Calvus would be able to save her father instead, she ran to be at his side.

Fulvira, despairing at Servilia's foolishness that she trusted a man over herself, looked up to the sky and prayed to Vesta to save Survilia and her household from this tragedy.

And thats how Wonder Woman abruptly fell out of the sky, pulled across time and space by an act of divine will.

Upon finding out what was going on, Wonder Woman swore to Fulvira that she would save them all and running off first to find Servilia, she arrived to find Calvus executed, so he could not confess to the scheme he had been a part of. Grabbing the weeping Servilia before Dictator Sulla could order her execution once again, she fled to Servilia's home, picked up the entire structure with everyone still in it even as the roman soldiers were surrounding it, and fled from Rome, rescuing the household from certain death.

With the family now safe, Wonder Woman tried to talk to Servilia, urging her to plead her case to those higher in authority to oust Dictator Sulla. but Servilia refused to listen. Stricken by grief, and unable to wrap her head around the tragedy that had occurred. Refusing to believe that her Calvus could have done this to her.

So shaking her head, Wonder Woman returned to the present, hoping that Servilia would not be so blinded by love that she would let a man destroy her life as Calvus did.

An interesting question raised by this story is just how much do the gods influence Wonder Woman coming across people in need? Alot of the people Wonder Woman rescues are simply because she happens to be at the right time. Complete coincidence. But what if their subtly arranging for Wonder Woman to be where she needs to be? To be there when someone needs saving. Its food for thought.

Day 191: Matilda Gumdrop

Owner of the Frontier dance hall, an oasis of entertainment in the era of the wild west, Matilda Gumdrop was the great great grandmother of Etta Candy, and like everyone in her family tree, has a love of candy.

One of the most famous entertainers in the era, the dancing Matilda has gained quite a following.

One day, Matilda was kicking back with a bag of gumdrops when stopping by for a drink was none other than her friend Daniel Breene, the fur trader. He boasted how his daughter Prudence was going to marry his apprentice Silas Sneek, and carry on the family business of buying furs from the natives to resell in the big city for triple the price he pays them.

Matilda warned him that his Silas was a sneaky one who couldn't be trusted, but Daniel wouldn't hear of it. And insisted that Prudence Breene was a smart girl who knew Silas better than they did. And besides, Silas had been delivering his payments to the natives for years, he could be trusted.
Matilda asked where Prudence was, planning to stop by and talk to her, and was told that Prudence was at the school, teaching children both native and settler to read.

So moseying down while her girls danced on stage, Matilda came across an unusual sight. For a gang of school children were grabbing Prudence by the arms and trying to drag her away from the school.

Matilda having none of this, waded through the tide of children and began scooping up the little things like kittens and flinging them over her shoulders until she had two armfulls. Matilda demanded to know what the fuss was all about, and the children revealed the trouble.

For years, the natives were being given less and less money in payment for the furs they caught, while Silas Sneek goaded them on, pointing out how much more Daniel Breene makes for those furs. And most recently, all they received was a bag full of rocks, which Silas declared was all Daniel intended to pay them for their hard work.

And with that, the last straw was broken and a group of natives were coming to string Daniel Breene and his daughter up for short changing them for years and refusing to pay them their due.

However in the time it took the children to explain the situation, the lot of them were surrounded by a group of men who wanted revenge for this slight. A fight inevitably ensued, and the pair were captured despite the protests of the children.

Bound up, Matilda declared that the true villain must be Silas Sneek, as Daniel Breene couldn't possibly have done such a thing. But immediately, Prudence protested this, refusing to believe her love fiance could possibly be a criminal. Instead she accused the natives of lying and trying to steal her fathers money.

Outraged, one of the men struck at Prudence, but Matilda leaped in the way, taking the blow, and barreled into the man, sending the two of them rolling down a hill towards a cliff. But before certain death could come for the both of them, Wonder Woman abruptly arrived, lassoing the two as they flew off of the cliff, and pulled them back up to safety.

Wonder Woman having simply popped up in the era was quickly filled in on what was going on, and acting as mediator, she suggested that they all go and see Daniel Breene and Silas Sneek to straighten things out.

Thus they head back to the home of the fur trader to find it on fire, with Silas Sneek running away and a tomahawk embedded into the door.

Leaping into the blazing inferno, Wonder Woman finds Daniel bound on the floor and carries him out to safety to find the natives had captured Silas Sneek while she was busy saving lives.

Using the lasso of truth on Silas, Wonder Woman unearthed the truth. For years, Silas was pocketing money meant for the natives, and was urging them to kill Daniel Breene so he might claim the fur traders contracts for himself. And using the vast fortune he had amassed by pocketing and saving the money he was stealing from the natives, he would live in the lap of luxery.

But not wanting to leave things to chance, Silas planned to kill Daniel himself, pinning the blame wrongfully on the natives.

Thus with Silas to face trial for his actions and the mountain of accumulated money going to its rightful owner, everything was happily resolved.

That is for everyone aside from Prudence who grief stricken, refused to believe Silas did any of that, and swore she would wait for him, unable to accept just how horrible he truly was.

Day 192: Carl Ambishun

Evil chemist with evil ambitions who hides his wicked nature behind a veil of goodwill, Carls a man who wouldn't hesitate to kill to further his own efforts at filling his pockets. Showing not an ounce of pity, or a moment of true sincerity, Carl is the kind of weasel who will be all smiles, pretending to be your greatest ally while stabbing you in the back.


Carl courted the famous scientist Lana Kurree, with the intention of profiting from her ideas. And sure enough, when Lana developed the cure to a deadly disease, Carl was quick to sabotage it. Arranging for the first human test subject to die while taking the drug, Carl convinced Lana that she was to blame, and that she would be imprisoned unless she signed over rights to the cure over to him so he could 'take the fall for her' which he insisted he would do to improve his love.

However just as she began to sign it, Etta Candy and the Holliday girls arrived, clumsily spilling ink all over the document, and grabbing Lana to run away with her!

Carl, convinced that the abrupt arrival of the Holliday girls meant that they knew what he was planning and were intending to stop him, put on a gas mask and shattered a gallon sized bottle of chloroform, the gas causing everyone to fall unconscious on the ground.

Dragging them to his secret laboratory which was located in the basement below Lana's lab, Carl Ambishum tied the lot of them up just below a giant pitcher of manic acid which he had developed to murder the patient Lana was trying to cure.

When Lana and the Holliday girl came to, Carl turned a nozzle, causing the acid to slowly drip down, melting a hole in the center of the room as it collected to slowly form a puddle. He demanded Lana to sign over the rights to her cure, but before Lana could even consider it, Etta Candy pointed out that he would no doubt kill them all once he had what he wanted!

Scowling, Carl declared that he would give them time to think about it, knowing that the acid would take hours to reach them. And so he left the lab and hurried across town to contact a wealthy investor. For Carls plan was to take Lana's cure, and give it only to the rich and wealthy who could afford to be treated for the disease, while leaving the poor and suffering to die an easily preventable death.

On the way however, he was stopped by the police, as forensics experts had proven that Carl was the man who murdered Ned Raynor, Lana Kuree's patient. Behind bars, Carl furiously declared that he was above the law, and declared that if they didn't let him go, that Lana and the Holliday girls would die for it!

Steve Trevor receiving a call from Dean Sourpuss, found out that the Holliday girls were missing, shortly before recieving another call from the police, about Carl Ambishun demanding to see Wonder Woman and threatening the death of the Holliday girls unless he was set free.

With Wonder Woman currently lost in time, Steve hurried over to the jail on his own to speak with Carl, demanding to know where the Holliday girls were.

Carl, convinced he held all the cards, beamed a smarmy grin and declared that he held their lives in his hands and that he expected to be set free, and a hefty ransom to boot, otherwise they would all die.

Now this being Steve Trevor, a military minded man with a short fuse who lacked the persuasive abilities of Wonder Woman or her even temper, immediately responded by slugging Carl Ambishun in the nose! Beginning to whale on the man, Steve bellowed that Carl better reveal the truth, which had Carl quickly go from gloating to cowering and screaming in terror as police hurry into the jail cell to break it up!

Fortunately before it could all degenerate into further chaos, Wonder Woman arrived after her timely excursion and used her magic lasso on Carl and discovered that the Hollidau girls and Lana were being held captive in his lab.

Hurrying over to the lab, Wonder Woman arrived just in time to rescue the lot of them, just as the manic acid was about to reach them. And with that, Carls Ambishun's ambitions were at an end, and the day was saved.

Day 193: Lana Kuree

Esteemed doctor of chemistry from a family of distinquished chemists and graduate of the Holliday college, Lana Kuree gradutated only a year ago and determined to make her father proud, Lana swore that she would seek to revolutionize modern medicine.

And revolutionize it she did, for Lana invented the cure for cancer!

Naming her cure 'Plasmin', Lana began putting it through trials, and while refining her cure for cancer, she met a nice man and fell in love. Everything was going right for her.

That is until her first human test subject, Ned Raynor died mysteriously while using the drug in order to cure his skin cancer. Distraught, Lana was in despair, and her fiance Carl Ambishun approached her, warning that she could be imprisoned for killing that man, and pointed out that it would destroy her poor father to know his daughter was jailed.

About to sign over her lifes work to her boyfriend in order to save her father the grief, Lana met with the unexpected arrival of Etta Candy and the Holliday girls who hearing about Lana's mystery cure, decided to take her out for a night on the town to celebrate her great success!

It was then that Carl Ambishun revealed his true colors as a fiendish nare do well and deadbeat boyfriend. A revelation that Lana could not cope with and bring herself to acknowledge. Intending to kill the lot of them, Carl was thankfully stopped by Wonder Woman, with his wicked schemes at an end.

But this was not the end of things for Wonder Woman having spent some time in time of recent, confronted Lana and sought to get through to her and make the poor woman realize the truth.

She was in a terrible relationship and she needed to stop chaining herself to a man who meant her ill and a toxic relationship in which she suffered.

For Lana's situation was far worse than anyone could have known for Lana Kurree....Was in a reincarnating cycle of abuse!

Lanas devotion to Carl was so great, and Carls willingness to sponge off of her was so terrible, that they were drawn to one another across time itself!

Through reincarnation after reincarnation, the two would end up together, repeating these terrible events like a twisted Romeo and Juliet. With Lana always suffering from Carl's betrayals.

Wonder Woman showing Lana the past, revealed to her that in the time of ancient rome, she was Servilia Domina. A woman whose life was ruined by the horrid Calvus.

And in the time of the wild west, she was Prudence Breene, school teacher who was nearly killed by the wretched Silas Sneek.

Wonder Woman made Lana open her eyes to the truth, that these were her past lives and time and time again, she was repeating this terrible cycle of abuse by letting this man destroy her lives, because she couldn't come to face with his true nature and walk away from this reincarnating cycle of abuse.

With Wonder Woman inspiring her, and the Holliday girls supporting her, Lana was finally able to come to terms with the problematic nature of this relationship, putting an end to this terrible cycle of abuse.

And so it was that Lana would go on to refine her Plasmin and with the aid of the Joy Foundation, distribute it free of charge across the world, slaying the vile monster that is cancer and saving millions of lives in the process. Including those of comic book writers.

Day 194: Hart Burns
A big name hollywood director whose riding on the coat tails of the latest big fad, Wonder Woman movies. Hart Burns is a director with an appreciation for fledgling talent.

As movies based on Wonder Womans many adventures have already been done to death in the Golden Age, Hart Burns decided to change perspectives and instead do a movie about Queen Hippolyta, and cover some of her grand adventures before the Amazons faded into obscurity.

Thus, Hart Burns put together 'Victory of the Amazons' a movie about Queen Hippolyta and her epic duel with the villainous invader Achilles who attempted to enslave the Amazons, only to be driven back by the queen of the Amazons herself.

For this movie he wanted only the best! But he also wanted the most affordable. Thus he cast a discerning eye for little known talents in the industry who showed great promise and had little to no publicity to speak of.

This is what lead to him hiring Tempra Menta, an actress of great talent but with a poisonous reputation in hollywood due to her temperamental nature. And to play Amazons, he naturally wanted a group of women who had a good grasp of what the Amazons are, and great acting ability, which naturally lead to him hiring on the Holliday girls as Amazons in his picture. Young women who showed great talent in the first movie, but had bafflingly received few offers since by the other studios.

Hart Burns is a director whose very good at his job and revels in his successes. However he does not take problems well and the slightest problem can send the poor director into a most horrid case of heart burn which no amount of medicine can avail until the disaster in question has been dealt with.

Day 195: Zavia

The legendary kidnapper, Zavia is a a woman whose real name has been buried beneath false identity after false identity to the point that she is simply known by her moniker. She travels the world, kidnapping the relatives of the rich and the wealthy in order to make a fortune. Mercilessly doing away with those whose family wont pay for them.

Though she has been known to work on commision. For a pretty fee, she will target specific individuals. The sort of job shes hired for by petty business rivals and the like.
Such was the case when she kidnapped Lorraine Staunche, daughter of Staunton Staunche, the head of a fledgling aircract company which was starting to put a serious dent in the competiton with its superior design.

Demanding billions for Lorraine's safe return, bankrupting the company as per her orders, Zavia had hidden herself away in a lodge up on the rockeys, confident that no one would think to look for them five hundred miles away in the middle of winter.

Zavia's confidence soon wavered however when she spied Wonder Woman and the Holliday girls checking in at a local ski lodge. Wonder Woman was completly unaware of the kidnapping, having simply gone with Etta on this ski trip because she was invited, and wanted to try out this curious sport which they didn't have back on the tropical paradise island.

Zavia however panicked, and had her hired goons which consisted of hunky strapping young men approach the Holliday girls disguised as ski instructors. Luring them away from Wonder Woman to be kidnapped with their one weakness!

Upon finding her friends were missing, Wonder Woman asked the trees which lived upon the mountain if they had seen them, and discovered that they had been kidnapped!
So using the skiing lessons she recieved from the Holliday girls, Wonder Woman skiied down the hill to the hidden away lodge, picked the lodge up, and carried it down the hill!

Zavia and her goons lept from the cabin and began to ski away, planning to make their escape. But they did not count on Wonder Woman being able to effortlessly bob and weave through the forest with a cabin on her back without bumping into anything! Lassoeing them one at a time and tossing them back into the cabin for the Holliday girls to keep under wraps!

So sitting the cabin down at the foot of the mountain, Wonder Woman opened the door to find Zavia and her goons under wraps, with Lorraine Staunche now safe and sound!
So it was that Zavias villainous kidnapping operation was put at an end!

Day 196: Corine Empostah


Introducing herself as Margo Vandergilt, Corine was a spy who operating under the pseudonym of 'Ears Fellock' would get close to someone, trick them into revealing high level secrets, and sell those secrets to the highest bidder under the guise of 'Ears Fellock' who boasted to have 'his' ears everywhere.

And unbeknownst to anyone, Corine in truth controlled a sizable spy ring of women who under her orders enacted this plan on a global scale. Hiring men to handle business transactions and maintain the guise that the mysterious Ears Fellock was male, Corine was confident that she could never fail.

And so when her latest mark Captain Blank discovered that the top secret plans he had delivered were somehow copied and ended up in the hands of enemy spies, he was distraught. 'Margo' pushed him and pressed him, taking advantage of the insecurities she had used to worm her way into his life, to drive Blank to suicide.

Grief stricken, Blank pulled a gun on himself and fired, in the hall of a resturaunt which was at that moment, holding a gala for army personel.
At that moment, Steve had been sitting with Phillip Darnell, complaining about his romantic woes. For he had spent years courting Wonder Woman with no success, disheartened that Wonder Woman swore a vow not to marry until she had uplifted the world to be as wonderous as Paradise Island.

Philip Darnell suggested he move on, and that there were other fish in the sea, but Steve refused, declaring that Wonder Woman was the love of his life.
Just then, they heard the shot and Steve ran to the source to find Corine kneeling over Captain Blank, sobbing. Comforting her as Wonder Woman hurriedly arrived and ran off with Captain Blank to try and save him despite a gunshot to the head.

Corine, seeing Steve as a potential mark and realizing what drove him, she played on Steves desire to start a family, cozying up to him to find out military secrets to sell to the highest bidder.
Meanwhile, Captain Blank is in a coma, with even the purple ray ineffective in doing more than healing the damage. Thus Diana waited to find out why Captain Blank shot himself. Meanwhile she looked to Steve and Corine growing closer and felt jelousy and regret. Wishing to be with Steve but duty bound to continue her mission. Refusing to stand in Steves way and make him wait for her, Diana gave the two her blessing and wished them well. Unaware that Corine was not what she appeared to be.

It would be later when Captain Blank recovered from his coma and revealed that Margo told him to that Wonder Woman suspected something was amiss. So deciding to look into Margo Vandergilt, Wonder Woman found her address and checked it out, to discover a group of spies holding the real Margo Vandergilt hostage!

Discovering the truth, Wonder Woman bound the spies and carried Margo off to the wedding chapel where Steve was about to marry, having promised to reveal all his secrets to his wife and her alone.
And at the typically dramatic time, Wonder Woman arrived to raise an objection, holding up tthe real Margo Vandergilt as proof!

Quickly capturing Corine as she tried to make a run for it, Wonder Woman saved the day yet again!
As for Steve, he felt rather down, having discovered it was all but a lie. And swearing off other women, Steve swore he would wait for Wonder Woman to marry him if he had to wait his whole life for his dream to become a reality!

Day 197: Dotsie Menagerie

Niece of Steve Trevor, Dotsie is a young girl with a love of animals and a large amount of popularity in her school.
Her mother (And Steves sister) a telephone operator who works weekends, and her father having a similar schedule, Poor Dotsie is often left without either of her parents until the evenings.

Fortunately, her Uncle Steve is always happy to keep an eye on her and thus her weekends are spent visiting the zoo, or going to the park, or playing baseball. With her uncle Steve around, Dotsie is never left bored.

Especially since Steve would often regale Dotsie with his stories of the adventures he has had, especially those with Wonder Woman which he tells with a romantic flourish. A depiction of events which doesn't quite match Wonder Womans version of events. Something Dotsie has likewise had the opportunity to hear since Steve introduced his niece to her, and let Wonder Woman take the young girl on a trip to Paradise Island to see what it was like and spend a day playing with the Amazonettes.

What amazes Dotsie the most about Wonder Woman isn't her incredible strength or her brilliant mind. It is that she has the amazing ability to talk to animals! Thus naturally curious, Dotsie asks Wonder Woman how she does it.

Wonder Woman smiles and explains that it requires studying to learn the language of animals, and promised Dotsie that if she continues to do well in school and excel, that she would teach Dotsie to talk to animals just like she does!

And since then Dotsie has done just that. Studying hard in school and doing her best to get A's, looking forward to the chance of learning to talk to animals with the dream of becoming a veterinarian zookeeper when she grew up.

Naturally, having a plethora of Wonder Woman stories from Wonder Woman herself makes her quite popular with all the other kids who clamor to Dotsie so she can regale them with the tales she told, and about what the wonderous Paradise Island was like.

Day 198: Doctor Cerebrum
A scientist who specializes in 'communication waves' Doctor Cerebrum is a brilliant scientist who discovered the radio frequency which the human brain operates on to send signals to the body. With this knowledge, Doctor Cerebrum spent thirty years of his life working on his magnum opus. The amazing technological device known as 'the War Prevento machine'!

For this was a device which when put on ones head, would allow someone to recieve 'visual signals' of those they are targeting, creating an image of the targets surrounding area to spy on them. And then with the flip of a switch, the war prevento machine would instantly render unconcious anyone within the image.

The machine could be adjusted to control how long someone was unconscious, and the effect radius to as much as ten blocks wide. And most impressive of all, this machine had a global range, meaning it could strike anywhere in the world without warning.

Using this invention, Doctor Cerebrum envisioned a world without war. A world where tyrants and warlords could be targeted and with the flip of a switch, be placed in a comatose state to be picked up and carted away to jail. Thus as Doctor Cerebrum believed, his invention could end all war in the world by stopping the world leaders who would lead the world to war.

So it was that upon refining his device, he contacted the United States government, and requested their help in using his device to discover all generals and war mongers in the world who bring about violence unto all.

Practically salivating at the prospect, the U.S army hurried to Doctor Cerebrums lab, wanting to examine this device which they felt would cause a very definitive end for war in a certain sense.
So at their request, Doctor Cerebrum tested it out, and rendered the group of men in the next room successfully unconscious. His device worked! They assured him it would be used to stop all war makers, and Doctor Cerebrum felt great elation to realize that his device would be used to better the world!

However, Doctor Cerebrums dreams of a utopia were dashed when one of the military officials pulled out a black jack and beaned his two associates on the head, rendering them unconcious.

Revealing himself to be in truth Doctor Psycho in disguise before knocking out Doctor Cerebrum as well, the criminal nare do well dissipated his disguise of used astral substance which he spent months recycling, and made a run for it with the purse sized war prevento machine.

When Wonder Woman discovered Doctor Psychos nefarious act, she gave chase, catching him just as he attempted to kidnap his ex wife Jane Gray, unaware that she was now beyond her power.
Wonder Woman attempted to steal the helmet back from Doctor Psycho, but with the helmet in his possession, Wonder Woman was constantly playing a game of cat and mouse, trying to avoid the radio command which would render her unconscious.

And so it was that Doctor Psycho seemed unstoppable. It was only a matter of time until Wonder Woman tired, and she would be rendered unconscious for him to finish off.
That is until Jane Gray, having heard the commotion outside of her lodgings, saw her ex husband battling Wonder Woman and running outside, walloped him with a mean right hook, knocking him unconscious and releasing years of pent up rage and frustration in a single blow.
And thus with Janes help, Doctor Psycho was returned to prison and Wonder Woman returned the War Prevento machine to Doctor Cerebrum.

However Doctor Cerebrum, seeing his machine stolen and realizing that in the wrong hands it could cause unspeakable devastation to the world, destroyed the machine before the eyes of protesting army personnel, crushing his dream of a singular solution to end all violence, but not his hope for a world free of war. A hope that rested in Wonder Woman.
