Day 149: Mephisto Saturno

A Saturnite of Saturn who speaks fluent Saturnic and captains the space sub "Submo Saturnia' Mephisto is the general of the armies of Saturn, and spymaster of his planet.

For the Saturnites are a race of technologically advanced highly evolved life forms who denying the existence of gods or magic, have focused on science and materialism. With their efforts concentrated on the concentration of wealth and ones personal enjoyment.

Prizing money and logic above all else, the Saturnites are a terribly powerful race. Having mastered space travel, gravity manipulation, invisibility, and synthetic poisons, they are a force to be reconed with which has conquered multiple worlds to take for its slaves.

The Saturnites do not have a military as Earthlings would know it. For Saturnites have taken a universal oath to never take a life. Not out of a concern for fellow life forms, but because that life could have value as a slave instead. For the Saturnites believe everything has a price, including the human life, and freely deal in the slave trade. Even working with Hypnota to smuggle Earth slaves to Saturn.

Rather, Mephisto and the Saturnite military in truth behave more like spies. They will travel to worlds, infiltrate them, gather intel, and find out their strengths and weaknesses, so that they may be exploited, and the world brought to its knees without the public even realizing they have been conquered. Mephisto deals in subterfuge and trickery, and with a fleet of vessels just hiding in the Atlantic, his plans seemed assured.

However none of the Saturnites calculations could have accounted for a follower of the goddess Aphrodite wielding a magic lasso!

Indeed, Mephisto had long ago learned of Wonder Womans existence and planned to capture her, accounting for her superhuman strength. But he was convinced she would be powerless in the face of gravity reversal guns and his mens clever use of personal invisibility belts.

But Mephisto failed to account for the magic lasso and the bracelets of submission which the Saturnites knowledge of science declared were impossible within the realms of science! For they were more durable than any known metal in the universe, and the lasso could command him despite the greatest of anti-mind control technology in his arsenal!

Thus despite Mephistos to get the jump on Wonder Woman and take away the Earths greatest champion before his plan started, the leader of the Saturnite's invasion forced was captured by Wonder Woman.

Locked away in a state prison to be interrogated about what Saturn was planning, Mephisto gloated that Saturn had intelligent robots who did all of their work and manufacture. Going on to explain that slaves existed for recreational use for the enjoyment of the citizenry.

He went on to declare that he would be walking out of his prison in a week, despite the assurance of Warden Smug that this was the greatest prison in the world from which there was no possible escape.

But indeed, at the end of the week, the Saturnites plan came into affect, as their ships began to release 'Lassitude gas' into the atmosphere. An airborn drug which caused lethergy and slothfullness. Serving to rob people of their willingness to act and causing them to become lazy.

Wonder Woman was able to break free of the gas's hold over her and avert an invasion of the Saturnites, but in all the confusion, Mephisto was able to make his escape with the help of his chief lieutenant, Eviless.

Mephisto Saturno and the Saturnites make for a curious concept. Their specifically described as believers in science and wealth who deny the existence of gods and magic. Which makes for an amusing for for the scientifically inclined heroine who was born from clay and fights crime with a magic lasso in the name of a goddess of love.

In sci-fi terms, their kinda like a combination of the Ferrangi and the Vulcans.
Possessing some of the most advanced technology in the Wonder Woman mythos, but with a society that puts a price on absolutely anything. It's kinda like capitalism gone out of control.

I would love to see someone bring these aliens into the modern age.

Day 150: Sontag Henya

In the country of Venturia on the continent of Atlantis, a number of citizens got together, expressing their concern.

Queen Clea was unbelievably corrupt. And her daughter princess Ptra fared no better. At that point the people assumed it was because matriarch's were doomed to fail, except king Little was no better.

They now had Queen Octavia on the throne but rather than take their chances with her, the people were worried she would turn out to be just as bad as all the others.

But with three corrupt royals in a row, they were beside themselves with confusion as to how this all transpired.

Then, one among them spoke up, making a suggestion. "Maybe monarchy is to blame?" And this kernel of an idea festered and grew until with cries of "Viva La Venturia!" A rebellion errupted as the people sought to overthrow the royals and take the country for themselves!

A feat which they had no trouble with thanks to Sontag Henya, who turned the royal guards to her side, and quickly allowed them to take 100% of the nobility in the kingdom. Seeing as the only one in Venturia of noble lineage was Queen Octavia, this was no difficult feat.

Locking the queen away and planning to execute her later, Sontag Henya spoke before the masses and declared leader of the venturian anarchists, that the people needed to be lead by a committee, who would show concern only for the people, and not themselves!

After which, Sontag Henya and her cronies declared that there would be a vote to decide who would be on the council, manipulating the masses into voting for her minions onto the council with her as its head.

And upon taking control, the council set up a round table in what was once the throne room and began to live in lavish luxury. For despite all of Sontag's pretty promises and claims to be one of the people, she was quick to forget about them and use the countries wealth for her own pleasures.

And when people would complain, Sontag Henya would simply laugh and point out that they voted for her. That she was elected into office and that it was thanks to the people that she was now in charge.

And thus the people put up with it. For while Sontag was just as corrupt as Clea, they acknowledged that they did vote for her, and thus felt they had no right to do more than complain.

And because of this line of thinking, these corrupt elected officials maintained their seats and ran the country into the ground, with no concern for anything but the next expensive dinner, and the construction of gold statues in their honor.

For when nobody is willing to stand up against corruption, that only encourages it to fester no matter how much you complain about it.

Sontag Henya was a marvel at inflaming crowds and making great speeches. So much so that she was effortlessly able to bend people to her will through false promises and seemingly noble gestures alone. However the image she puts before people is but a facade, and behind closed doors she smokes cigars and mocks the masses who are so blinded by her words that they will faithfully follow her.

Day 151: Losa

Jailer of the Venturian prisons of Atlantis and member of the Venturian royal guard, Losa is one of the many specially trained soldiers originally handpicked by Queen Clea for their duty and devotion to their work above all else.

Queen Clea had a strict criteria for royal guards. For to be admitted you must be at least eight feet tall, and have the strength of lifting a minimum of one fully grown elephant over ones head.

After the ruler of Venturia changed four times within a year, the royal guard began to crave some form of consistency so when Sontag Henya promised them that under her the country would find stability, the royal guards who had little love for the foreign royal currently on the throne, sided with the rebellion, dooming Queen Octavia to imprisonment.

What nobody knew however, is that Queen Clea maintained a secret passageway from beneath the Venturian prison, leading beyond the continent of Atlantis. From which she would contact arms merchants and used such channels to amass an armory of firearms and other deadly weapons.

Thus when Queen Octavia was imprisoned and awaiting execution, an exploration of her cell lead to the discovery of a hidden passage from which the queen urgently contacted Wonder Woman for help before being discovered by Losa, doomed to execution for attempting to escape.

Losa called for her captain and raising her sword she was about to deal the killing blow to Octavia when who should arrive through the secret passage but Wonder Woman to the rescue!

Effortlessly deflecting the blow to protect Octavia, Wonder Woman lasso'd Losa and demanded answers. Upon which, Losa brazenly bragged about how terrible and corrupt Sontag Henya was, and how they were now ruled by a corrupt bureaucracy.

Wonder Woman was quite puzzled by this almost jovial admittance of their own leaders corruption and asked why they didn't depose her, only for Losa to shrug it off saying "At least we voted for her~ Thats whats important,"

It was then that the captain of the royal guard arrived thanks to Losa's calls for aid with a full company of guards, declaring that they would stop Wonder Woman or die trying!

Wonder Woman trying to reason, asked why they did not consider ellecting Octavia as their duly appointed voice for the people. With Wonder Woman citing the womans wisdom and experience after her time spent learning the ways of the Amazons.

Hearing this, Losa and the others waved, unsure. But the captain of the royal guard bellowed that their honor was at stake, and said that only a fight to the death would resolve this conflict!

Thus with Wonder Woman forced to choose between dooming a nation to tyrrany & seeing her friend slain, or taking a life; Wonder Woman with a heavy heart....Challenged the captain of the royal guard to Atlantean hand wrestling!!!

For as everyone knows, on Atlantis, hand wrestling is serious business. A sport so important that ones honor is at stake (which on Atlantis, is a far greater treasure than ones life.)

Thus the two agreed and clasped hands to engage in Atlantean hand wrestling! In this sport, the pair will each lock hands and standing with one leg forward, the pair will attempt to cause their opponent to move their feet, through force exerted only through the grip of their hands and no other physical contact.

At first, it seemed certain that the Atlantean guard would win. For her greater girth and size gave her a clear advantage despite Wonder Womans impressive strength.

However, Wonder Woman was not simply muscle and using her brain, she leaned back and using the captains momentum against her, Wonder Woman caused the captain of the royal guard to flip over her head and land on her back.

Awed by such a thorough defeat, The captain pledged the service of her and her fellow royal guards to Octavia and escorted her into the royal palace where Sontag Henya was at that very moment, making a speech to the people.

With Wonder Woman at her side and the royal guards as escort, Octavia beseeched the people to let her serve them, declaring that she only had their best interest at heart. She asked them to vote for her as their democratically elected leader and raising her arms into the air which had been manacled while in prison, she declared that these were the chains of her office, and that she would wear this burden as a reminder of the weight of her responsibility. Declaring she had no interest in luxeries or fineries, she went on to declare that she would lead the Venturian government from her prison cell, and answer to the will of the people if they found her wanting.

The Venturian people unanimously won over by this plea, clamored for Octavia to become their leader once more. A turn around which angered Sontag Henya so much that picking up a spear, she attempted to slay Octavia, only to be stopped by Wonder Woman who declared that the Venturians deserved a ruler who prioritized the people over their own greed and vices.

So it was after much back and forth that the Atlantean country of Venturia established a lasting ruler and the constant changing of heads came to an end. Venturia would go on to see a new age of prosperity, and its reputation as a violent and agressive nation would fade, to be replaced with one of democracy and proper governance. As Octavias example would serve as a reminder to future leaders of Venturia to follow suit.

As for Losa, the jailer who nearly killed Octavia, she would go on to become Octavias personal guard. For Octavia carried out her declaration of operating out of the prison, which had her office just a cell over from Sontag Henya and her group of cronies.

Day 152: Emperor of Saturn

Wealthiest Saturnite on Saturn and thus the undisputed Emperor of the planet, the Emperor of Saturn leads his people through virtue of wealth and his word is law.

Like all Saturnites, The Emperor of Saturn prizes logical thinking and wealth above all else and refuse to believe in concepts like magic or the gods. For the Saturnites believe that all life is simply organic machines, differing only from their mechanical automotons in that their made from different parts.

Possessing a scientific and methodical approach to life with an emphasis on efficiency, The Empreror of Saturn is determined to conquer the Earth for its natural resources. He plans to do so through use of the ring bridge of Saturn. For the Saturnites are highly technologically advanced, having invented not only a protective shield around their planet made from a dense gas. (Similar to those used by both the planet Venus and Paradise Island.) The Saturnites also constructed a means of using their gravity manipulation technology to harness the rings of Saturn themselves. Altering their formation so that Saturn may freely form a bridge from the ring itself, creating a land bridge from one planet to the other.

With the Saturnite construction chief working tirelessly to program in the gravity patterns into their machines, the Saturnites were prepared failing Mephisto Saturno's attempt at conquering Earth, to simply invade en masse using mental paralysis ray guns which would temporarily shut down the minds of their victims, to take the planet by force if need be!

For the Emperor of Saturn craved the wealth that the planet Earth possessed, and desired that gem in the solar system as another planet in Saturns empire. The potential profit outweighed the costs in his mind and a war seemed certain.

That is until Wonder Woman arrived! For stopping by the planet Saturn in order to rescue Steve who had been casually kidnapped by the Saturnites to be used as a pleasure slave, Wonder Woman beseeched the Emperor of Saturn to forget his plans for war in conquest!

Drawing from the diplomatic dark arts, Wonder Woman pointed out that it would be financially benificial for Saturn if it was to approach Earth as a business partner instead of an aquisition. She made the case that the people of Earth freely refine the resources the Emperor of Saturn so craves, and that they would be more than happy to form trade agreements in exchange for Saturnite technology. Going so far as to point out that the end result could make the Emperoror of Saturn even wealthier.

As the neat little ribbon in her argument, Wonder Woman also pointed out that the Earthlings were aware of his plans and that their resistance would lead to war, which is bad for business.

Awed by Wonder Womans words and swayed by her argument, The Emperor of Saturn agreed and with Wonder Woman acting as a mediator between Earth and Saturn, the two planets signed a peace treaty, now forming a coalition of three planetary powers in the form of Earth, Venus and Saturn. A united Nation of planets if you will.

Oh and making a public speech, The Emperor of Saturn declared to both Earth and his own people that he only ever desired peace, and declared that acts of agression carried out by his people were perpetrated by Mephisto Saturno, who would be punished for his crimes with a life imprisonment. Because politics.

I find the Emperor of Saturn to be a fascinating figure, especially in terms of his role. As despite having views that were radically different from Wonder Womans, the two sides were able to come to a peaceful agreement of co-existence without their views causing an impossible divide between them.

Day 153: Hester Hawthorne

Newly initiated member of the Holliday Girls Beeta Lamda sorority, Hester is best friends with Gay Lovemore, having joined the sorority the same time she did.

Hester is a self proclaimed detective with a mind for finding clues and solving mysteries. Using deductive reasoning, Hester will figure out what is amiss, and get down to the grit of a problem. For example when her friend Gay vanished, Hester was the one to track down what had happened to her Gay friend and deduced that the teleporter was the cause.

Hester is one to experiment with cause and effect, and try to replicate accidents to figure out the cause of an incident.

With her talent for mysteries, Hester Hawthorne is a young woman who could have a great career ahead of her in the field of detective work.

Admittedly a bit of a footnote in Wonder Womans mythos, Hester is a Holliday girl with a wonderful potential to her if she was to be brought back. A college student with a love of solving mysteries? In the Holliday college? That is a story that is just waiting to be told.

Day 154: Count Dendum

High ranking official within Saturns government, Count Dendum is the saturnite ambassador sent to Earth as a representative of his people after the peace treaty between the two planets was signed.

Bringing with him Saturnian candy (Made from star dust which was transmuted into a synthetic sugar.)

Count Dendum came to Earth to negotiate a shared peace and ensure a peaceful coexistence. Though his true mission was to study Earth culture and to explore what financial opportunities might be available on the planet Earth. And to see if the Earth might posses any enterprises which would do well on the planet Saturn.

While many welcomed the Saturnite with open arms, not everyone was in agreement with this, and thus Count Dendum was attacked by an asasin while driving to the embassy. The attack naturally coming from a fleet of bomber planes which flew over Washington DC and began carpet bombing the street the Ambassador was driving along.

Fortunately, Wonder Woman was quick to arrive and using her magic lasso, she was able to catch falling bombs in midair and set them down safly, until the bombers had run out.
Having prevented any possible fatalities, Wonder Woman used her invisible plane to catch the bombers, only to discover that they were under hypnosis, and had no recollection of committing their criminal deeds. Something the magic lasso confirmed.

In the end, the only injury was to Count Dendum himself who hospitalized, accused Earth of trying to assassinate him. Once Wonder Woman explained the hypnotized pilots however, Count Dendum recalled a similar instant with the black market of Saturn. For on a world that prizes wealth above all else, the idea of a secret market where money changes hands unknown is a criminal one. And with the treaty driving the ownership of Earth slaves into the black market, it became a criminal matter which Saturn was struggling to combat.

In this case, the slaves being smuggled to Saturn were hypnotized, and showed no willingness to go back to Earth due to their hypnosis. Which had been something of a legal problem for them.

Upon realizing that the slave smuggler was behind his near assassination, the bandaged Count Dendum swore to use his influence and power to aid Earth in stopping these slavers once and for all!

An effort which proved quite dangerous for the Count, as his death would potentially spark a war between the two worlds and end the peace treaty, meaning he was frequently beset by would be assassins seeking to end his life. And was forced to be wary of poisons, or the possibility that anyone he met could be hypnotized to kill him.

Things came to a head when the slave smuggler had snuck crates of slaves into the embassy, and framed Count Dendum of himself being the slave trafficker. Which Earth leaders were ready to believe. But before the treaty could be rendered annulled and Dendum imprisoned, Wonder Woman arrived with the true culprit of those crimes, Hypnota, who had been selling slaves to Saturnite smugglers.

With Hypnota locked away and Dendum deemed innocent, peace between the two planets solidified, which both worlds prospered from.

Oh and the star dust candy Count Dendum brought with him? It would turn out to be a huge success, with the children of Earth craving the delicious sweet, which blossomed into a large market for the candy which Dendums company personally manufactured.

Day 155: Ellie Paxton
Six year old girl, Ellie Paxton is a small waif of a child whose father Edward Paxton served in the merchant marines. While out at sea, Ellie's father and his vessel vanished and was presumed sunk.

In grief, Ellie feared the worst until a survivor from the ship and her fathers best friend Bill Barnacle arrived at her home to tell her mother what had really happened. About how their vessel was passing by a volcanic island when dozens of eight foot tall women erupted into the air and came down on parachutes!

The ship was quickly taken by these titanic women who shrugged off bullet wounds, and capturing the crew, the giant women destroyed the ship and swam away with their prisoners in tow.
Bill Barnacle clinging to the wreckage like some sort of arthropod, was able to avoid capture but upon being rescued, he was deemed insane with grief, for no one would believe a crazy tale like eight foot tall women capturing the ships crew.

Ellie's mother sharing that disbelief, the little girl knew that the proper authorities would sit back and do nothing while her father remained a prisoner!
Thus, she did what any child would do, asked Wonder Woman for help!

So sneaking out of the house on a saturday, the six year old traveled from Virginia to New York to ask if anyone had seen Wonder Woman.

Happening upon Diana Prince and asking her as well, Diana promised the girl that she would go get Wonder Woman and walking out of sight, Ellie is beside herself with joy as Wonder Woman comes down from an invisible ladder on her invisible jet!

Hearing of Ellies plight, Wonder Woman flew the young child back to her home and promised to get her father back!

So enlisting Etta Candy and the Holliday girls for help, Wonder Woman headed for Atlantis, recognizing the description of the Atlantean air vents which supplied oxygen to the underground continent!

Journeying down, Wonder Woman discovers a secret operation of slavers who kidnap passing ships by sailing into the up-current vent, capture vessels, and then drag them back to Atlantis via the down current vent.

Wonder Woman, disproving of slavery and such horrid practices, captured the entire slavery operation with Etta Candy and the Holliday girls!

Turning the fiends over to Chairwoman Octavia of Venturia for rehabilitation, Wonder Woman freed the prisoners and flew them back home, dropping each one of the lost sailors off at their doorsteps and reuniting families like Ellies, having averted a terrible tragedy.

And all thanks to a brave little girl who traveled cross country to ask Wonder Woman for help.

Day 156: Queen Darla

Through a confusing series of mishaps, Wonder Woman finds herself back in time with the Holliday girls, Steve Trevor, a hyper-evolved gorilla, and a wayward evolutionary professor.

And thus finds herself in the Golden Age.

Not the comic book period. (Though this did take place during the Golden age of comics.) But a time period predating known history, where the world saw an incredible peace and calm.

In this fabled golden age, humankind created a monarchy lead by Queen Darla. But unlike the monarchies we know today, this was a kingdom where the poor and the less fortunate lived in grandiose castles and ate extravagant food, while the nobility lived in cozy cottages and worked the fields and served the people, as in Queen Darla's enlightened land, the leaders believed that true leadership is in generosity. And that a leaders job is to serve their people and grant them kindness.

Thus the absolute ruler of the kingdom would till the fields, harvest the crops, and would cart them to the castles where the common folk lived, leading through example and showing them that generosity and kindness were their own rewards.

When Queen Darla was not serving the people of the golden land in the golden age, she served as a teacher, instructing the citizenry about the importance of generosity, ethics, and the importance of knowledge and understanding.

For not only was this fabled lands monarchy determined to serve their people, but also to better their lives!

Queen Darla is a fascinating ruler who id really want to see in the real world.

Day 157: King Aros

Husband of Queen Darla and king of the Golden Land back in the ancient golden ages, Aros is a stay at home husband who tends to their four children, does the cooking, and the cleaning.

He orates that spouses must share in the work and work together to raise a family, encouraging that more time be spent with ones children.

A rather minor character who might be little more than a footnote...Except for the way Steve Trevor reacts to him.

When Steve sees Aros with this house dad lifestyle, cooking and doing housework and raising his children, Steve can't help but voice his envy for King Aros.

Not for his royal position, but for having the lifestyle that Steve has always pined for. Offering to lend a hand, Steve comments that he loves doing housework and that he is an excellent cook. Going on to create a full course dinner for sixteen people within hours.

For a vital part of Steve Trevor which has always featured rather prominently in the background, is that he wishes to settle down and have a family. Yes he is a high ranking official in the army, and the #2 in Military Intelligence, and did a stint as a spy. But thats not what he actually wants out of life.

He would often talk to General Darnell, pining over his wish to marry and settle down. All of his friends are married with children while hes still single. He spends his free time babysitting his niece and playing with the children who live near his apartment.

It is his dream and desire to one day be able to marry and settle into a quiet family life.

It is an aspect of Steve Trevor that really adds to his personality for knowing that he has wants and goals which he is unable to achieve just makes him all the more real.

Unfortunately for Steve, he wants to make that family with Wonder Woman who has no intention of settling down until she has made the world a paradise just like her home island.

A fact of their relationship Steve knows all to well. Despite that however, he could not help but approach Diana and suggest that they settle down in the Golden lands, marry and live a quiet life in peace instead of returning back to the present. A proposal which Diana denied, pointing out that she swore an oath to Aphrodite that she would better the world and that she could not abandon her quest.

Thus Steve agreed and returned to the present with Wonder Woman, pining for the life that King Aros had.

Day 158: Chieftain Rex

Ancient neanderthal from prehistoric times, Chieftain Rex was leader of the jungle dwellers who living in the treetops, have made a lifestyle of capturing intruders and feeding them to the Tyrnosaurus Rex which they tamed to attack other tribes who try to take their territory.

Declared the first villain in history, Chieftan Rex would rid his dinosaur to savagely destroy rival tribes. Not for resources, but for fear that they would take what was his!

Such was the case when Chieftain Rex attempted to destroy the cliff people. A tribe of neanderthals who had carved out caverns within the steep cliff face and used crude rope pullys to haul food up to their homes.

For with their brilliant minds, the cliff tribe were the hope of the future, and expected to evolve to eventually become the humans of the modern day.

So when Chieftain Rex got a spy to help him take the caves, he dragged them all into the jungles so that his mighty Tyranosaurus Rex could feed! Fueling Chieftain Rex's desire to kill all others, so that his tribe would be the only one remaining!

For Chieftain Rex if he had his way, would gleefully slaughter anyone in his path, so long as he could rule it all.

What he could never possibly have expected however, was for a time traveling Wonder Woman to arrive and seeing the people in danger of being devoured by a dinosaur, leaped in and using her lasso as a bridle, commanded the T-Rex to behave! Turning it around, the jungle tribe and Chieftain Rex ran away, terrified that their tamed dinosaur was now under someone elses control!

And once Wonder Woman had lead the great beast from the jungle, she wished it well, and helped the neanderthals of the cliffs return to their homes before eventually departing on her journey through time.

Not a villain with the greatest impact on Wonder Womans mythos, though the idea of superheroes on adventures through time has always had its appeal. And Wonder Woman being Wonder Woman, would of course save the day wherever she could.

Day 159: Jon and Jan Peasant

One of the lower class of the people of the golden land from back in the time of the ancient golden age, Jon Peasant is one of the many common folk of the land, who lived out of a palatial palace and ate the grandest of foods thanks to the hard work of the rulers who place the concern of the people before themselves.

While his sister Jan is one of Queen Darlas students, who learning the importance of generosity and giving to others, does what she can to contribute and do her part to help, much to the dismissal of Jon who is dismissive of such efforts, content to simply enjoy the fortunes bestowed upon them.

That all changed however, when Jon was walking through the palace gardens, only to stumble upon a hyper evolved gorilla in a tree. Offering Jon some apples, the gorilla in question asks Jon why he is content to only have what is given to him, and why he doesn't take as much as he wants.

Intrigued by this and accepting the apple, Jon asked what the giant gorilla woman meant, and Giganta declares that Jon looks strong, and that the strong naturally take from the weak. She declares that bullying those weaker and giving into ones evil impulses is fun, and that the weaker can do nothing to stop you!

Jon mesmerized by this, began nodding his head in agreement when Jan who happened to be walking passed, protested, trying to convince her brother Jon that this was wrong, and that so much had been given to him already, that taking even more would be wrong.

Taking a bite out of his apple and laughing mockingly at his sister however, Jon pushed her aside and began spreading these ideas to others like him who were easily swayed by mean spiritedness and greed. Much to the amusement of Giganta who thought humans were hilariously stupid creatures.

Jan made a run for it to warn the queen and king and with the entire country swayed by this terrible doctrine, they were powerless to stop this turn to greed and violence that was growing across the golden lands like wildfire. Thus with no other choice, those who denied the call of greed and villainy fled the Golden Lands, in search of safty. Amongst their number Darla, Aros & and their children. With Jan following along.

And thus the Golden Lands were lost thanks to Jon and his greed.

I feel like this might be a reference to something...Perhaps some obscure Roman myth?

Day 160: Achilles

Mighty Greecian hero, in the age of ancient Greece, Achilles is the son of a water nymph and a Greek king.

Seemingly blessed with invulnerability, Achilles was a mighty general who gleefully engaged in war, taking advantage of his invulnerable state to leap into the front lines, knowing well that nothing could hurt him.

Being as embroiled in war as he was, Ares had little trouble manipulating Achilles, convincing him that the Amazons possessed vast riches and a nation which was ripe for the taking.

So it was that Achilles walked onto the field of battle with his armies in an effort to conquer the nation of Amazonia, and end their society forever!

Queen Hippolyta met him at the border of their land and a great struggle took place, as Achilles blessing of invulnerability put him on even standing with the invincibility granted to Hippolyta thanks to her enchanted girdle.

Thus the two wrestled for dominance with two armies onlooking the conflict, in an epic contest of strength which was at a stalemate with two mighty figures, with no end in sight...

That is until a time traveling princess of the Amazons arrived, and loudly informed her mother about Achilles one weakness!

Yes, for while Achilles heels are a known frailty today, this was a closely guarded secret that even Achilles himself was unaware. Thus it took a simple kick to the back of his foot to send Achilles reeling in pain, declaring his surrender upon suffering the first injury in his life.

On his knees before Queen Hippolyta, Achilles swore to never wage war upon Amazonia again, and being forgiven, retreated to his homeland with his army in tow.

And thus thanks to Wonder Womans temporal interference, Amazonia was safe!

That is until Ares tries his luck manipulating another ancient Greek hero.

While he did not make many further appearances, the idea of Achilles as a nemesis for Hippolyta is a fascinating one, given their similar advantages. And I would love to see this rivalry explored again at some point.

Day 161: Ariadna

A young Amazon on the cusp of womanhood with the great ceremony nearing for her to become one of the Amazons, Ariadna and others of her generation were left feeling hesitant and unsure of themselves. Not confident that they had what it took to become Amazons themselves.

Mala, premier rehabilitator of criminals, wrangler of teenagers, and amongst the greatest of the Amazons approached Ariadna and her lot, wanting to know what has them so concerned, and why they had a sense of hopeless half heartedness as they trained for the trials of Womanhood.

Ariadna claimed it was impossible for them to match up to the greatness of Mala or Diana. And boasted that Mala could lift five thousand pounds, and that Wonder Woman could lift fifteen thousand pounds.

They believed that they could never be as great as Mala and Diana, and were thus to intimidated to even try.

Thus they would get caught in the simple forty feet lasso jumps. Fail to break free of rope bindings. And failed to lift even a thousand pounds.

Mala scolded them, pointing out that they had been learning to do these things for years, and that Diana was tearing through rope restraints at age three! So surely they should have no trouble.

But Ariadna and the others were convinced that it was impossible for them to ever match up to the legends of Mala and Diana, and were consigning themselves to failing the trails of Womanhood and being unable to attend the ceremony.

Exasperated and unsure of how to get through to kids these days, Mala brought out her secret weapon and contacted Wonder Woman to save her from these difficult teenagers!

And thus upon arriving, Diana spoke with Ariadna and her friends, explaining to them that it was all a matter of confidence. That true strength really comes from believing in oneself, and that all they needed to do was believe in how wonderful they really are!

Thus to prove her point, Wonder Woman began naming off the known records of Amazonian physical ability! Lifting twenty tons. Leaping a hundred and twenty feet into the air. And breaking through iron chains.

And thus Wonder Woman began to display her feats of strength to the young Amazons!

She lept a hundred and fifty feet into the air, dodging Malas lasso!

Diana lifted a twenty five ton rock!

And then she broke free of twelve inch thick chains of solid steel!

Having proven to the children that any limit could be broken, she raised a hand to the young Amazons and informed them that they had the possibilities of the future before them. And that if they dedicated themselves and believed in their own ability, they would be able to surpass even her!

And with the wonders of Wonder Woman inspiring them, Ariadna and her friends strove to surpass them with confidence, and went on to complete the trials of womanhood, and become accepted amongst the adults! Going on to lift one ton boulders, leaping fifty feet into the air, and breaking through bindings of solid steel. For they would not be chained by their insecurities!

Day 162: Dean Strikt

Dean of the Holliday college, Dean Strikt is a college Dean with a long history in education who was granted the position to fill a gap after the previous school head was removed.

Dean Strikt is a stickler for rules whose educational experience stems from boarding schools of manners and etiquette. So strict is Strikt, that she will threaten expulsion upon trouble makers who do not follow her words to the letter, and ensure that every student is accounted for at all times, and that their every movement is accounted for.

She bars visitors from the Holliday college at all times, bans animals from the premises, and goes into hysterics when any sort of rule breaking occurs. Especially at the hands of the colleges very professors who frequently go and break the known physical laws despite her stern orders to the contrary.

Strikt does not not take well to changes, or people not behaving as she expects them to. In fact, any alteration in her strictly co-coordinated schedule will send her into hysterics, and she will start threatening explusion upon any who would naysay her! This includes people who are not actually attending the college to begin with.

Her greatest nemesis however, is Etta Candy. For despite Strikts fiercest efforts to run a tight ship and ensure everyone does only what she wants them to, Etta Candy will somehow find a way to slip off and party. Strikt can arrange mile long tasks for Etta to complete and mountainloads of homework, and Etta will not only complete those things, but mannage to do so with expert skill. And STILL find time to slip off for a party!

Despite Dean Strikt even scoping out Etta's rooms, she could never actually catch Etta in the act, and those could do nothing to the sorority queen of the Beeta Lamda sorority who despite Dean Strikt's best efforts, would always find an opportunity to slip off and help Wonder Woman when she was in a bind.

Eventually, the atmosphere of the Holliday college with its law breaking professors and unstopable students reached its breaking point for Dean Strikt when an alien invasion had the audacity to start at the Holliday college, with uninvited guests storming the school and trying to enslave the student body!

With that, finally snapped and turning her nose up at the Holliday college, the former college dean packed her bags and walked away, wanting no more of this nonsense.

All while Wonder Woman was busily lasso-ing the spacecraft full of Holliday students, to rescue the student body.

Day 163: Woggle

Wee Leperchaun who lives in the magical shamrock land nestled beneath the Redwood forest, Woggle like the rest of his fellow leprechauns fled from Ireland to escape an unpleasant situation, along with other beings from that magical isle. Such as the little folk, and much of the Irish.

Woggle like all the leprechauns, spends his time crafting shoes using golden hammers, operating out of the caverns connecting Redwood forest and Shamrock Land. Giving their creations to children in need across the world, and to those of Shamrock Land who need of their handiwork.

In a great misunderstanding wherin Woggle lost his beloved bag of sweets, he was captured by the redhead who caught him stealing. Woggle, believing it to be his bag of candy, bitterly asks Etta if she wants his pot of gold, thinking Etta to be simply a fiend trying to take his riches.

But Etta not giving a care for shiny rocks, demands her candy back and gobbles it down on the spot. Starting the feud to end all feuds as the Leprechaun swore his revenge on Etta for stealing his candy! (Which it really wasn't. Not that he knew this.

Over the course of a week, Woggle would tie her shoes together, and Etta would trip him. Woggle would cause her to break out in acne, Etta would dump a pail of water on him. Woggle would give her a rhumatism, Etta would tie his beard to a tree branch.

This back and forth would carry on for quite a while until eventually Etta caught him again and offered a cease fire. The leprechaun, skeptical at this, refused to believe it, and Etta offered to teach Woggle how to craft chocolates and sweets. As among Ettas many skills, she was a professional candy smith.

Woggle, salivating at the idea of being able to make his own sweets whenever he wanted, immediently agreed and with the removal of Etta's Rhumatism, the pair of them became the fastest of friends! With Woggle often popping over to the Holliday college for cooking lessons. Learning to make fudge, bonbons, and hard candies to satisfy his own sweet tooth. A skill which made him very popular in Shamrock land when he brought his skills with him.

Day 164: Eve

Daughter of Desira, queen of Venus, Eve is the princess of the planets singular monarchy and like the rest of the fairies of Venus, she is blessed with immortality. A masterful gardener, Eve takes her role seriously and aids her mother in trying to deal with any problems which Venus may suffer from, showing a great capability for leadership.

A talent which was rather wasted on Venus since Eves unaging mother was a perfectly capable leader herself, and Venus already was a great paradise thanks to Desira's rule.

But opportunity would arrive when Aphrodite appeared before the people of Venus, to make a declaration. For while observing the world, Aphrodite happened to discover the garden of eden, sealed away in a dome of ice beneath Antartica, abandoned. Aphrodite, thinking it was a rather beautiful garden, thought it was rather a shame that such a nice place was being left untended. But alas, mankind was barred from setting foot in the Garden of Eden by the previous owner, meaning Aphrodite could not send her Amazons to it.

Thus using the wonders of loophole abuse, Aphrodite zipped over to Venus and asked the fairies of Venus for a volunteer to care for it. Eve enjoying a good gardening challenge, stepped forward and upon volunteering, was transported to the Garden of Eden, which was now hers.

Having arrived at the garden, Eve was awestruck by how beautiful it was, and began working to maintain it. Flourishing in the garden with its pretty flowers and delicious apples, Eve was want for nothing. Save for companionship that is.

So calling for Aphrodites aid, Eve asked the goddess, and Aphrodite responded by reaching into Eve's head, and pulling out a child. A girl, the small thing was transparent, and weighed naught but a feather.

Aphrodite explained that this was Eves Spirit daughter, born from Eve's maternal desires. And that if Eve nurtured the small child, showed it love and cared for it, the child would become real.

Naming the child Eve Lectress, Eve spent the next nine months tending to the child. Feeding it. Rocking it to sleep, singing it stories and caring for the wee thing with love and adoration. And thus, Eve Lectress would become progressively more tangible, gaining physical weight until she was as real as Eve herself. And thus, Eve had a daugher.

And as the centuries passed, more children would be born this way, thanks to Aphrodites blessings, and having renamed the garden Eveland, the 'Daughters of Venus' grew in number until hundreds of them lived in peaceful harmony in the gardens of Eveland under Eves guidance.

Day 165: Dean Sourpuss

The Dean of the Holliday college to precede Dean Strikt, Dean Sourpuss is an older woman who was herself a graduate of the Holliday college. Serving on the board of public safety, Dean Sourpuss was met with much frustration for her unwavering dedication to requiring fail safes, evacuation plans, and safety features to ensure peoples safety.

Thus when Sourpuss heard word that her Alma Mater was without a dean, she sent a letter to the college asking if there was anything she could do to help, and was on the spot granted the position!

Settling in, Sourpuss was amazed to discover that her darling sorority the Beeta Lamda was still around after all these years, and that its sorority sisters continued to rank amongst the schools most brilliant students.

Upon finding out about the schools tendency to run afoul of alien invasions, mad science, and all sorts of mysterious mishaps, Dean Sourpuss responded by....Instituting a series of detailed plans in the events of alien invasion, attack by supernatural forces, plagues, and other potential mishaps which most schools generally do not plan ahead for.

Also, Dean Sourpuss began interviewing the professors of the school and potential new hires, to screen them and start making sure that no future college employees would turn out to be supervillains.

As a person, Dean Sourpuss is a very stern figure. Who prioritizes work over fun, and keeps a firm expression, denying students the chance to go out and party when they should be studying.

And when students complain to her that they wish to go out for a night on the town, meet some cute boys and introduce some romance into their lives, Dean Sourpuss will dismissively handwave such pleas and dryly declare that you don't need boys for a romance.

But beneath her firm exterior is a woman who pines for her own college years, often reminiscing about the excitement she had when she was a student in those very halls. How she would have a ball 'cutting capers' and enjoy 'sensual spooning' with her fellow Betta Lamda sorority members.

A fact which Etta Candy is gleefully aware of and mercilessly she will exploit the Deans retrospective daydreaming to get her excursions across the world aiding Wonder Woman not only approved, but classified as an internship!

Under Dean Sourpuss, the Holliday College was in good hands.

Day 166: Kathie O'Rourke

A human lassie who lives in the magical Shamrock Land which lies beneath the Redwood forest, Kathie O'Rourke like all of the humans of Shamrock Land live in peace and harmony with the little folk whom they share this land with. Living in a society that has not changed for five hundred years, Kathie is a good example of the common Shamrock resident.

Spending her free time with the other girls as they stroll through the sparkling forests of their enchanted land, Kathie is a professional pig herder, who raises the drift of winged pigs which the locals use as transportation to fly around in the mystical land. These pigs which can grow up to three feet standing on four legs and weigh up to two hundred pounds are able to take flight using a pair of white feathered wings which grow from their sides.

For in Shamrock land, every clover has four leaves, 'when the pig flies' has an entirely different meaning, and leaving out a bowl of milk is only good manners.

Shamrock Land resembles a forested Ireland, with little people fluttering through the sky, Leprechauns popping out of the ground, with other features such as the grand castle, and the coliseum from where the locals hold their grand Irish sports.

Kathie herself is a bit of a gossip, always taking the time to chat with people who need to borrow a flying pig for a flight around the land. Thanks to this, Kathie is always up to date on the goings on in the land, and through her, news travels fast to the point that Kathie doubles as the local newspaper.

Day 167: King Pluto

Not to be confused by the god of the dead, King Pluto is not a god, but rather an immortal king who has possession of 'The fork of fate' A powerful artifact forged from the heart of the planet Pluto itself, which grants the bearer the ability to remold reality to ones will.

Having used the fork's power on himself to render himself as immortal and invulnerable as a god, King Pluto fashioned himself a castle from the ice encrusted world, and tried to live like a king.

However such a life was not an easy one for all the fork of fates power, it was incapable of producing light. Of producing warmth. Of creating the green things of life.

Instead, King Pluto's efforts to create new life for the desolate world resulted in the creation of the Unlighted.

Creeping beings made from darkness itself, they wear black cloaks to give themselves a recognizable form, their only identifiable feature being their hands of pure darkness, that absorb light and life.

Their very presence takes the color and joy from a place, leaving people feeling cold and incapable of feeling any positive feelings or recalling a time that they were ever happy. Their touch of dread is so great that it causes a victims soul to pull away from their body in a desperate revulsion to escape from the grasp of these demented tormentors.

With the Unlighted as his willing servants, King Pluto lived in his palace, his every need tended to, but in truth he felt anything but satisfaction. He loathed the cold. Hated the darkness. And he was no more proof to the effect of the Unlighted's presence than anyone else.

Thus after much work in a desperate bid to escape this, King Pluto succeeded in turning his own nightmares into flesh and blood, taking the form of night black horses. Fashioning a chariot, King Pluto retreated from the planet, eager to escape it and ride towards the sun.

But as he left his planet, the fork of fate ceased to work. As it being the heart of the planet, its powers did not work beyond the planets influence.

Unable to surrender his power but desperate to escape his self made prison, King Pluto came upon the idea of kidnapping women from Earth and force them to serve him on Pluto!

And thus he began to kidnap scores of women from Earth and brought them back with him to his home planet. The women upon being touched by the demented tormentors that served King Pluto, had their souls pull from their bodies to escape that dark touch. The light projected from their very souls filled the planet with warmth and light, much to King Plutos delight, and thus he began kidnapping these women to enlighten his kingdom. Placing their bodies in the ice of Pluto and keeping their souls locked away in cages about his castle, to serve as light fixtures and stoves.

However during one of his journies to kidnap a woman from Earth, Wonder Woman happened to stumble upon King Pluto and his wicked efforts. Using her magic lasso, she caught one of his nightmares and pulled it down to Earth, even as King Pluto made his getaway back to his home planet with the poor woman in tow.

Speaking with the Nightmare who called herself Ebony, Wonder Woman soon got the whole story from the Nightmare who happened to be quite knowledgeable about the goings on of King Pluto. So picking up a super electric generator, Wonder Woman rode Ebony back to Pluto!

Staging a rescue, Wonder Woman freed the souls and bodies of the women King Pluto had held prisoner, and setting up the super electric generator, Wonder Woman gave to King Pluto, the wonders of electricity and artifical light!

Leaving the king of Pluto to his wonder and awe at the sight of light, Wonder Woman lead the kidnapped women to the kings stables and stole away the entire herd of Nightmares, riding them back to Earth, and leaving King Pluto stranded, now with the means of ever lasting light without the need or means of harming another soul.

Day 168: Prince Pagli Paglimany

Prince Paglimany is prince of the Seal people. A race of humanoids who evolved from an offshoot of the Seal species. Their kind have evolved to thrive in icy conditions but now requiring a more varied diet than their cousin species the artic Seal.

Carving out a kingdom within the icy glaciers of Antartica, the seal people developed a sophisticated civiliation, having harnessed electricity and developed the technology to support cryogenic freezing for the storage of food and for the incarceration of their criminals.

The Seal people require a rounded diet of not only meat (which they get from harvesting fish) but a rounded diet of fruit and vegetables. Initially the Seal people would harvest these things from the garden of eden, taking advantage of their ability to effortlessly swim through icy waters and carve tunnels through ice to reach it.

However over thousands of years, their race adapted a sensitivity to light, due to their icy tunnels ever being cloaked and darkness and their tendency to swim within the artic waters. Thus, these visitations to the garden of eden had the unfortunate side effect of rendering the seal people blind, a tragedy which made efforts to gather the needed greens for impossible. A terrible tragedy for a race that required such greenery to live.

Thus the seal people lived within the black cliffs that enclosed the garden from all sides as well as above, able to cross the river of destruction which flows around the garden in a perpetual loop, but helpless to gather the needed fruit without becoming blind and unable to find a way back.

As for Prince Pagli Paglimany himself, he is the prince of his people, and like all of the Seal people, he has multiple spouses. No children, Pagli Paglimany is devoted to his people and willing to go to any extreme to save them from extinction. Even this involves kidnapping and other villainous acts.

Day 169: Queen Moonbeam

Queen of the little folk who who fled from Ireland five hundred years ago, Queen Moonbeam founded Shamrock Land and for the past five hundred years has ruled the land with wisdom.

Standing half a foot tall, Queen Moonbeam has a pair of butterfly wings which she used to fly about, and she is very specifically not a fairy. (Why this is such a sticking point, I do not know.) Like all the little folk, Queen Moonbeam wears a dress of precious jewels, and possesses enchanted moon dust which allows her to paralyze others.

And like all the little folk, Queen Moonbeam is immortal and immune to any injury, including those caused by cold iron, or the effects of a nuclear detonation.

Queen Moonbeam is versed in the magical arts, and is adept in using her magical talents to do anything she wishes. From causing people to fall asleep, to changing someone to the size of a mouse.

She looks out for the safety of the Leprechauns and the little people, and will not stand for a fiend trying to imprison one of her subjects, or allow harm to come to the humans who joined them on their pilgrimage to Shamrock Land.

Good friends with Wonder Woman whose rescued Shamrock Land in the past, Queen Moonbeam will at times leave her enchanted kingdom to rescue Wonder Woman when she is in danger. Be it some devious incarceration, or the foul deeds of Mars himself. Queen Moonbeam will not hesitate to lead the little people to aid Wonder Woman when she is in trouble, and counts herself among Wonder Womans allies.

One thing I rather enjoy with Wonder Womans more magical adventures back in the day is how she was never pigeon holed into the Greek Mythos. In fact, she was far more likely to encounter trolls or fairies or leprechauns than she was to ever meet a chimera or a hydra. Wonder Woman is not someone who goes around slaying monsters. She is someone who strives to help others. Be they mortal, god or magical entity.

Day 170: Count Frigid

Scientist of the seal people, Count Frigid oversees the crogenic process which he has perfected. He is also under King Rigor's orders lured the women of Eveland across the river of destruction through the use of ice blocks which the seal people used to form a bridge between the garden and the cliffs of black ice.

For the Seal people developing a means of artificial light, have taken to growing plants using powerful electrical lamps. But to prevent the artic cold from killing the plant life, Count Frigid is forced to use electrical coils for heat and intense lighting which slowly renders people blind.

Wanting to keep their own people from suffering such a fate, the Seal People began kidnapping the innocents of Eveland, and forcing them to toil away on their farms until they are rendered blind from the painful artificial lighting.

Carrying around portable cryo-guns which can freeze people in blocks of ice, the seal people mearly have to freeze their prisoners, load them onto their patented seal sleds, and take them to a cryo chamber where they are stored for later use, or carefully thawed at the hands of Count Frigid who takes care as the process needs to be taken slowly and can be potentially fatal.

The most trusted underling of the Seal peoples royal family, Count Frigid is privy to their most secret of plans, and will carry out any command they may have for him.

Day 171: Mae Wu

A woman from Pei Whai, China, Mae Wu is a young woman whose village was invaded by Japanese soldiers during the second world war, and along with many women, Mae Wu was forced into slavery and treated as little more than a possession to be used for the soldiers whims.

Escaping the house she was imprisoned in, Mae Wu refused to quietly let the other women imprisoned as she was suffer beneath anyones notice. Thus, Mae spoke openly and bluntly of the inhumane acts Japanese soldiers were committing for their horrid amusement.

She would travel to the United States and go from city to city, telling her story, and asking people to help China, and to save the women who had been enslaved as she had. That relief be sent so that others would not suffer her fate.

Mae Wu's message would not go unnoticed, and hearing of these horrific experiences, Wonder Woman wanted to see Mae Wu herself, and ask her for details, so that she might personally be able to do something about it.

But when she arrived at Mae's hotel room, she discovered the woman bleeding to death, as someone desperate to silence her declarations had shot her shortly before Wonder Woman arrived!

Using her invisible jet, Wonder Woman hurried Mae Wu to Paradise Island where she quickly used the purple ray to save the poor woman from death.

When Mae regained conciousness, Wonder Woman introduced herself and explained what had happened.

She offered Mae a safe home in Paradise Island if she wished for it, but Mae refused, explaining that she loved her country of China far to much to never return to it. Even if her home village was no more.

Wonder Woman moved by Mae's declaration, asked the poor woman for details about where she had been kept and using the vision sphere to find these camps and houses, traveled across Asia, freeing women from their clutches and turning their jailers to the military to face justice.

For Wonder Woman would not stand by as women were being mistreated.

Day 172: Shaggy

Leprechaun of Shamrock land, Shaggy had befriended Wonder Woman after she saved him from being swallowed by a fish. Shaggy like all of the leprechauns, spends most of the year crafting shoes using their golden hammers. But once a year, the leprechauns will all leave Shamrock land and journey off into the outside world to help and entertain the children of the world. Using their magic to bring joy into the hearts of youths.

However one year the Leprechauns ventured out into the world...And no one could see them. This was devastating for the leprechauns who planned and prepared every year to journey to the outside world and fill it with wonder. But if they could not be seen, then they would be little different from poltergeists, moving unknown and unseen with none the wiser.

Shaggy realized it could only be one thing. The children in the world had stopped believing in Leprechauns. For like all the little folk, the Leprechauns can only be seen by those who believe they are real.

Going to his good friend Wonder Woman for help, Shaggy explained how it saddened the Leprechauns so for children to not believe in them anymore. And that even when they helped, the wee ones would simply credit it to good fortune.

Wonder Woman not about to let a friend down, took Shaggy with her to Paradise Island, and with Paula Von Gunthers help, they concocted 'Moonbeam gas'

A special vapor crafted from moonbeams, a perfume of the sweetest flowers, and tinted it the color rose which is the color of happiness.

A special concoction which upon breathing in, would allow people to see the true beauty and loveliness in the world.

For as everyone knows, Leprechauns and all the little people are in fact formed from love and goodness. Their wondrous powers and invulnerability credited to the magic of love and good itself. Things which can never be extinguished.

And thus thanks to the Moonbeam gas, the Leprechauns were able to travel the world, using the moonbeam gas to grant people the ability to see wonders, as the leprechauns strived to aid them and bring them happiness.

Also it bears mentioning that Wonder Woman, Etta Candy and Steve Trevor were able to see the Leprechauns with no need of Moonbeam gas.

Day 173: Nero the Eighth

Distant descendant of the ancient Julius Caesar who secretly surviving the assassination, fled south as civil war broke out across Rome, bringing with him his most loyal servants to found a new Rome on a deserted tropical island far south, off the coast of Africa.

Generations would go buy and two thousand years later, roman structures sat at the heart of the uncharted island where the last remnant of the Roman republic remained.

Nero the Eighth, latest in a long line of Roman emperors whose claim did not extend any further than the shores of their secluded isle, ruled uncontested with his wife by his side.

Maintaining a traditional Roman lifestyle despite the passing of years, the isles culture was seemingly in a bubble. With trained Roman soldiers patrolling the isle on horseback and hunting game, And farmers tilling the fields for a good crop.

At the heart of this isle of Rome sat a coliseum, from which Nero would delight in seeing criminals put to death in contest with lions. Crimes such as trespassing upon their empire, for having secluded themselves to escape assassination thousands of years ago, it became tradition as much as law to do away with outsiders least they face certain death from a threat that they long outlived.

Its soldiers skilled in gladiatorial combat with an emphasis on defeating but not killing one another, and its people fluent in a mutated form of latin, Nero the Eighth reigns supreme on his isle of New Rome.
