Shadowrun Campaign?

Would anyone be up for a game of Shadowrun? Since Shadowrun: Hong Kong came out Chris has been itching to run a game, and he's too shy to make an account here but I said I'd ask. We'd be using fifth edition, and we have pdfs of the rules if anyone needs them.  Pixel Scientist has already expressed interest, and he can take on one newbie and one experienced player (two newbies would slow the game down quite a bit, the rules aren't exactly the easiest to learn).  If you'd like to, just let us know what you'd like to play and when you would be available to play!

I'm interested. How often would you be gaming? I can be available either nights or weekends EST.

I would probably be your noob. I've played a few other one shot rpgs and I was almost part of a Shadowrun game a few months ago, but it fell apart. I have a half made decker character, but I'm not attached to her and could start over on a new character. Shadowrun is supposed to be pretty involved so I would like a character that's relatively simple to play.

We were thinking Saturday mornings (we're CT) because of time zones with one other player who's in France.  So far my character is an occult investigator (heavy on summoning and detection spells) and the other is a weapons specialist who's heavy on the guns.

I can make Saturday mornings work (except this one. I'm out of town). Is this weekly?

That should be fine. I'm EST, so it's a little early for me, so I may be groggy at first until I can get some caffeine into me.

I'm still writing her background but I'm using the Occult Investigator template, though I've swapped out Alchemy for Detection spells. Essentially, I'll be relying on summoning for combat. Rachel (our French player) will be a weapons specialist. Lots and lots of guns.

Hmmmm. I want to do a physical adept face character kind of character. You know, the kind of person who grew up on the streets and found out they have a talent for talking themselves into (and out of) trouble. The kind of person who's always in it for the con.

That would work! I have Influence skills at 2(Negotiation, Leadership, Etiquette are all at 2, Impersonation at 3) but I'm approaching her more as a Noir investigator type rather than a con artist. Rachel's character has Intimidation 4 but she wanted to play a more moral character so it's best not to rely on her to use it willy nilly, haha.

I'm thinking more of a gender fluid fatale whose all glitz and glam and really knows how to play people.
