So I have this concept for a Fanfic

Concept is the keyword. The story would be set in a world where the MCU, the DCTVU, the DCCU, and Supergirl coexist peacefully. The more I think about the idea, the more I want to give it a shot. It would be my first fanfic though, so I am a little nervous (read: a lot nervous.)

There are a few issues I'm running into though, from a conceptual standpoint. I think I have all the major plot holes covered, but the biggest issue I'm having is that I'm stuck in the 'idea' phase and need to move on to the whole, y'know, 'plot' part of the story.

So here's what I'm thinking. The story would be divided into 'arcs.' Each arc would get increasingly bigger and more expansive in terms of stakes, character appearances, and story elements.

The story would mainly follow Laurel Lance, who, after having a fall out with Team Arrow, decides to move to Hell's Kitchen for a fresh start. Her friend Jo has hooked her up with a job at a law firm, Nelson & Murdock. It's a fairly small practice, but they are honest people who are dedicated to doing good, so Laurel is more than happy to work for them.

One night, she's patrolling the streets as Black Canary when she suddenly has an encounter with the famous "Devil of Hell's Kitchen," also known as Daredevil. The story would kick off from there. The main characters of this first arc would be Laurel, Matt, Foggy, Karen, and maybe Claire and Jo.

The problem is that, beyond what I just described, I don't really have a plot. Any ideas for an interesting story that these characters could take part in would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'd rather hold off on introducing Elektra, Punisher, or most other 'big name' characters until after the introductory arc. Right now I'm thinking that the new Kingpin, Vanessa, has put out a hit on Daredevil, but I'm not sure if that's where I want the story to go. Suggestions? Ideas? Comments?

That said, I still don't have any idea for an introductory arc.

Hmmm.... I'm trying to think what these two have in common vs what they differ on. That's probably gonna be the basis for your first arc.

They're both vigilante lawyers, so there's that in common. They both definitely have anger issues.

I can see Laurel's big conflict with Matt will probably relate to her history with Ollie. The last she'll want is another vigilante guy thinking he knows best. Not sure if Matt would actually act that way, but it would be difficult balancing him being her boss at work and them being partners in crime-fighting.

Or maybe you can use their anger issues to feed off of each other. They're actually bad influences, their angry streaks rubbing off on the other one.

Anyways, I would find some kind of conflict like that, personal and small, and then build the big arc off of those themes. For example, if you're building off of their anger issues, you might want a villain that brings the city to a boiling point (riots, crime wave, etc) and the two of them have to control their own anger issues as well as those of the city.

I love the idea of Laurel hanging out with the avocados! Can't wait to read what you come up with!

A combination of MCU, DCCU, Supergirl and Arrowverse does sound like an interesting combination. Especially with that premise.
