I keep incredibly nocturnal hours so while I'm Est I'm cool with any set up. I think having a set day is a good starting point, as people will know their usual free hours on that day. Sundays, have my vote but my schedule is flexible enough I could probably do any day.

Update to my availability.
Times in EST
Friday - Until 12 pm/ After 8pm
Saturday - Until 12 pm/ After 8pm
Sunday - After 3pm or Until 3pm/ After 9pm
Weekdays probably more flexible.

-I will admit I've already started a fairly detailed outline/bio for a character and wanted to know if we decided on an edition/staring level yet?

We're free weekends, Fridays are a little dicey because Chris could get home at three or he could get home at eight, depends on work, but we could probably commit to like 9pm CT and I'd say that's the latest we could do on Sundays.

So I'm thinking that we could have one campaign on Saturday and one on Sunday?

It seems there are a lot of votes for Sunday but I'm a college student and I'm not sure that's a good idea for me. I would very much prefer a campaign at any time on Saturday.

Also, I guess we're officially using 5th Edition. It seems no one really objects or has any strong preferences otherwise. Starting level will be up to whoever is DM.

@The Themysciran: You mentioned Chris might DM? If so, could you ask him if he would mind making an account here to help organize one of the campaigns? I feel like the DM would be better at organizing this than me.

If Sunday then I wouldn't be able to play until after 9:00 PST, which might not be the best idea for me? I could try and make it work I suppose.

What day would work best for you, then? I offered the Sunday campaign since a lot of people said it worked for them.

Okay, then. Does anyone else have a preference between Saturday or Sunday? Or does anyone have a recommendation for a good time?

It seems like Saturday may be that sweet point for most people, which again is fine by a me seems like most people are in a bit earlier time zone than me (Est) so maybe we can split the difference and say around 6-7 PST, which would be around 9-10 cst, and 10-11 Est.
Or if that's too late for the further time zones we could start a bit earlier, and people who in those time zone would have to come a little later could always jump into games with the implication their character was "following quietly"/being used by DM when they were absolutely necessary for healing, translating etc.

Isn't 7 players per game a little big? If we have DMs that are comfortable with that that's fine but I don't think I can handle that for my first time DMing ever XD

Re: Dungeons & Dragons Campaign

Post by Katrien Caffeine on Thu Jul 30, 2015 8:57 pm

That's true. This is getting pretty unwieldy. If we can get more DM's, we can try to split into three campaigns. So far we just have you, right?

So we still need one more at least--and if we are interested in doing a GMT-centered campaign, we will definitely need a DM for that as well.

Does anyone know anyone else with DM experience we could bring on board? Or should we just put another post in Things We Saw Today asking if anyone can DM?

Has the time been decided? I can do either sat or sun. I'm a part time case worker so my schedule is pretty flexible. I've never played d&d online before. I pretty excited. Both of my reg campaigns stopped months ago.

Re: Dungeons & Dragons Campaign

Not really... I think I'm going to leave the time up to each DM.

And speaking of that, I'm thinking I might end up having to DM one of these campaigns. I've DM'ed before but that's kind of why I'm so reluctant to try again. It will be really clunky as I never quite got the hang of it.

If anyone else can DM, I would prefer that but for now I'll say I'm going to try it again. study

@The Themysciran: If you were to choose a day that would be best for your campaign, what would it be? I will leave that up to you and I will take one of the other days. I could easily do Friday or Saturday, and could do Sunday as long as it isn't too late.

What a Face

H-hello~

Edit: So my times are pretty open right now. I'm not in a show so my evenings/weekends are generally free. I've never played DnD though, so I doubt it's a good idea for me to DM right away. Maybe I can be a player in the next round~

My DnD experience is limited to the The Adventure Zone podcast. :B

I've modded/co-modded written group RPs before, so maybe that's something?

If anyone is interested in a written small/large group RP or 1x1, I could be down for that too. Very Happy

Actually, I would be up for written RP if someone wants to make a thread somewhere. I've tried it before and its pretty fun.
