Year of Wonder Woman

Day 656: Mega Tornado
Mysterious alien who seeks nothing but destruction, this mysterious entity never shows their face and travels world to world using a hyper advanced flying saucer to create mega tornadoes spanning a hundred miles wide and traveling at winds going faster than a hundred miles per hour!

Appearing at random parts of the world, the mysterious alien behind the mega tornado would traveling with an invisibility function on their flying saucer, announce its presence with a mega tornado causing mass devastation, to vanish mere minutes after it appeared, traveling across large swaths of land in that short span of time.

The ship moving at lightning fast speeds with precision timing, could outpace even the invisible jet with its movements. Equipped with ray guns, it proved to be more dangerous too be caught in the eye of the storm than outside of it since the alien behind the mega tornadoes would kill anyone who caught sight of its ship.

After causing mass devastation across north america, Wonder Woman arrived to rescue the innocents including a thirty car train which was flying around like a flail threatening to flatten whole cities. Wonder Woman naturally rescuing the train and setting it out of harms way, noted how unusually fast the tornado was moving and flew into the storm in her invisible plane, finding herself face to face with the flying saucer behind the mega tornado!

Thus began a great battle with the flying saucer outpacing the invisible plane. Wonder Woman telepathically controlling her invisible aircraft stood atop it despite the one hundred mile winds, with the flying saucer slipping in and out of the walls of the tornado, using its invisibility and incredible speed to come at Wonder Woman from multiple angles.

Wonder Woman however would not give up! And deflected each and every one of those blasts which would meant her doom! The flying saucer moving to fast for her to lasso, Wonder Woman deflected one of its laser blasts to where she calculated it would move to, hitting the flying saucer, intending to disable it so she could capture the alien behind the mass destruction!

However the alien craft being designed for speed and offensive capabilities, exploded upon being hit by the ray, the nature of its pilot a mystery.

Day 657: Van Wright

World champion swimmer who had been practicing at the Sunrise Hills outdoor swimming pool when he was abducted by the duke of deception in order to compete in a collection of olympic sports to prove whether or not humanity was powerful enough to ward off an invasion from the combined might of the rest of the planets in the solar system!

With Van and his fellow athletes drugged by the Duke of Deception so that they would pose no challenge, things seemed doomed for the Earth...Until Wonder Woman arrived and declared that she would single handedly compete in Deceptions challenges and prove the might of the Earth through sporting competitions!

Gathering athletes from various worlds, the Duke of Deception intended to prove that Earthlings were inferior to any other species in the solar system and were easily defeated! And thus the competition began with a pole vaulting competition with a giant Jovian kangaroo from Jupiter!

Wonder Woman having a fondness for kangaroos, admired the beast and complimented it on its great size, though couldn't help but point out it didn't have near as much muscle as the Sky Kangas of Paradise Island.

Thus Wonder Woman let the kangaroo go first, and watching it leap five hundred feet into the air, Wonder Woman took a tremendous leap five thousand feet into the air, coming back down to the shock of everyone present including the kangaroo.

After that, Wonder Woman was to compete against one of the mermaids of mercury...In a swim through a pool of molten lava. With the mermaid diving into the water, Wonder Woman thought fast and squeezed her bracelets of Amazonium, granting Wonder Woman temporary invulnerability!

Diving into the lava, Wonder Woman despite the mermaid being mere inches from the other side, quickly closed the distance and won, proving her incredible speed!

Thus Wonder Woman would continue on in an effort to save the Earth!

Day 658: Dick Dormer

Leader of a gang of nocturnal criminals who commit crimes at night with the aid of night vision goggles, Dick Dormer had an encounter with Wonder Woman unlike any other. For while on the run from the Amazonian princess in his jalopy they were about to be caught...When a meteor crashed into the ground behind the, cutting Wonder Woman off!

Distracted by the sudden meteor, Wonder Woman lost the Dormer gang, and instead took the meteor to be studied, for it had an odd nature to it. Unbeknownst to Wonder Woman, the meteor was highly magnetic and her handling it, gave her a powerful repulsion effect!

Trying to call her invisible plane, she found it pushed away as she leaped for it. Greeting Steve Trevor, she discovered he couldn't come within ten feet of her. Encountering the Dormer gang again, she found it impossible to catch them for she was repelling them from her!

Wonder Woman woeful about this turn of fate, refused to let it bring her down and devised a simple means of capturing the Dormer gang. The next time they comitted a crime, Wonder Woman persued and rather than trying to catch them, she took advantage of her repelling nature and pushed them along, forcing the Dormer gang to drive themselves to jail.

Having wrapped up that mess, Wonder Woman then proceeded to leave, only to upon grabbing the door, found herself shocked by static electricity, the force breaking the repelling nature she had attained!

Day 659: Scott Johnson
One of the athletes kidnapped by the duke of Deception in a contest to prove earthlings are powerless in the face of an invasion against the other planets in the solar system, Scott is the greatest discuss thrower in the world, having been kidnapped from Meadow Fields stadium.

With Scott and the others drugged by the Duke, it was up to Wonder Woman to step up and save the day! Competing in a pole vaulting competition with a kangaroo, a swimming contest with a mermaid, a hurdle jumping competition with a wraith, a weight lifting competiton against a water ape and many more, Wonder Woman faced a discuss throwing competion...Against the Duke of Deception himself.

The Duke of Deception not being known for his great athletic capabilities, threw with all his might, his discuss, making it go a mere ten feet, and invited Wonder Woman to go next, suggesting she throw it as hard as she could. Wonder Woman suspicious, asked if she could do a practice throw and tossing her discuss, it flew forward five feet, then turned, going the opposite direction and landed a hundred feet behind her.

Realizing the Duke of Deceptions trick, Wonder Woman pondered and calculating her throw, she tossed the discuss, and going forward, it flew backwards with tremendous force, passing Wonder Woman and proceeding to circle the earth and reenter the collisium, landing on the sand ten feet in front of the Duke of Deceptions for a total of twenty feet.

And thus despite the Duke of Deceptions efforts, Wonder Woman proved herself more capable than the greatest champions of the solar system, and took the various world champions home.

Day 660: Johan Gutenburg

Inventor of the printing press and responsible for such modern inventions as literature and the comic book, Johan Gutenburg is one of histories most important of figures~

One day, Wonder Woman recieved a letter from the college of magic, inviting her to the grand opening of the Wonder Woman museum. Intriqued, Wonder Woman attended as the guest of honor, and exploring this tribute to her history, she was surprised to discover a series of statues of her performing most curious feats, with dates preceeding her arrival to mans world~

Wonder Woman declares that this is quite strange however the head of the museum smugly declared that they were simply recording the sum of Wonder Womans history, and she was welcome to try and refute the fact that she had been to those times and places.

Thus Wonder Woman going by the first statues plaque (Mainze 1451) with a statue depicting Wonder Woman lifting a printing press over her head. She headed for Paula Von Gunthers laboratory and used her time machine to travel back in time to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Arriving outside of Johan Gutenburgs shop, she discovered a mob of goons with swords and pitchforks, declaring that Johans machine posessed the secret to making gold and threatened to kill Johan unless he made them wealthy men!

Johan protested and explained that it only produced printed words which were far more priceless than any sum of gold and was about to be killed when who should arrive but Wonder Woman, effortlessly foiling the criminals plot!

Fending them off and making them skedaddle, Wonder Woman checked on Johan to make sure he was alright and thanking him for his invention she was about to leave...When someone set fire to the shop!

With Johan following after Wonder Woman picked up the massive printing press and carried it out of the building before running to a nearby lake. Weaving her magic lasso into a water proof basket, she picked up a large amount of water and hurried back to the building, putting out the flames, saving the day once more!

And with that, Wonder Woman returned to the present, planning to inspect the next statues date.

Day 661: Janet Mason
Experimental test pilot who was trying out a new type of aircraft meant to encircle the Earth in a matter of hours due to its ability to go faster than the speed of sound by breaking the sound barrier!

She was so famously fearless that there were many who speculated that she must in fact be Wonder Woman.

Janet and Diana would wind up crossing paths when while attempting to foil a robbery, Wonder Woman would wind up taking an armored car to the head and develop...Amnesia!

With no memory of who she was, she found everyone greeting her as Wonder Woman and found a newspaper that detailed who Wonder Woman was, with an entire feature on three women the newspaper reporter was convinced must in fact be Wonder Woman.

One of those figures listed was Janet Mason so Wonder Woman went to seek her out, reasoning that if she met with Janet Mason, then obviously she herself could not be Janet. However upon arriving at the airport Janet was supposed to arrive at upon completing her journey, Wonder Woman found Janet was missing!

A small child eagerly awaiting Janets return asked Wonder Woman if she was going to telepathically summon her invisible plane and go find Janet, to which Wonder Woman thought aloud that very notion, causing the plan to arrive overhead with its ladder extended below for Wonder Woman to take in search of Janet!

Following the route, Wonder Woman noticed a cloud hovering several hundred feet below the cloud line and approaching it, discovered it was in fact a derigible in disguise, with Janet Mason a prisoner of air pirates!

Wonder Woman handily capturing the air pirates, left them to Janet to turn over to the authorities and headed off in search of her memory and identity~

Day 662: Nhhur Xis
Member of the Ignium people from planet Ignium, a race of large diamond gem entities, Nhhur is one of the planets protectors, for they face constant attack by vicious entities across the cosmos who seek to shatter them and claim the crystal gems which make up their very being for themselves as they are a high quality and rare form of crystal.

Steve Trevor on a space exploration mission, chances upon the planet Ignium and lands on it in order to explore and catalog his discovery in the name of America~ Discovering signs of life in one of the many caverns pocketing the world, Steve journeyed within and came across Nhhur whose language was inexplicable to Steve.

Steve explaining that he came in peace and was simply an explorer, was assumed to be a hostile invader due to the language barrier and thus captured by Nhhur and his men, Steve was taken to Xor island, an island of petrified trees containing hosts of giant monsters such as kraken, rocs, and dinosaurs to be eaten alive. A punishment for any who would invade their world and cut the people if Ignium apart for profit.

However just when it seemed like Steve was doomed who should arrive but Wonder Woman?! Handily fending off the monsters and rescuing Trevor, Wonder Woman carried Steve off and met with Nhhur. Naturally explaining things in their native language, Wonder Woman cleared up the misunderstanding and thus peaceful relations were established between Earth and planet Ignium.

Day 663: Ann Tracy

Talented and fearless stunt woman, Ann Tracy was known for her willingness to attempt any stunt and seeming ability to do anything she puts her mind to. Due to these qualities, there were many who were convinced that she had to be none other than Wonder Woman.

Diana suffering from amnesia, had discovered three people were suspected of being Wonder Woman from the tabloid she read. Having confirmed Janet Mason was a separate person, Wonder Woman decided to check on the next person on the list, Diana Prince.

So walking into army intelligence headquarters, Wonder Woman spotted Diana Prince and greeted her, confirming that there was no possible way that she could be Diana Prince. Thus now knowing her identity must be Ann Tracy she was on her way to figure out what her address was when she spied a woman walking a tight rope and carrying bags of money from a bank to the building across the street!

Leaping up onto the roof, she discovered a group of gangsters with their guns pointed at an innocent child. Wonder Woman being Wonder Woman naturally defeated them single handed and was about to aprehend the woman with the bags of money when she sat the money down and raised her hands in the air, declaring she had been forced to cooperate with them!

The woman suggested Wonder Woman use the lasso of truth to confirm her story and she revealed herself to be Ann Tracy and that the criminals taking a hostage, forced her to help them steal that money else they would kill that innocent child. Thus Wonder Woman had her return the money and carted the criminals off to jail, left to assume that she really didn't have a secret identity and wondered where she would sleep tonight.

Day 664: Christopher collumbus
European explorer who set out to find a trade route to india by sailing around the world under the assumption that the world was much smaller than it actually was, Christopher took three ships with him and wound up accidentally discovering the united states.

Wonder Woman going by another statue depicting a great feat she performed in the distant past (this one of Wonder Woman holding a giant clam with a set of coordinates and the date 1492) traveled back in time and found herself in the middle of the ocean, with Christophers three ships on the horizon.

However Wonder Woman quickly discovered that the three ships were driving straight into a nest of kronosaurus! A large ocean dwelling reptile with large teeth and a predatory nature, they were certain to destroy the ships and tear the crew limb from limb!

Wonder Woman attempted to lasso and coral the lot of them however their incredible underwater speed and the difficulty in catching so many at once with them swimming in different directions made this near impossible!

Fortunately Wonder Woman spying a giant clam that was ten times the size of the dinosaurs, grabbed it and prying its mouth open, she used it to catch the various kronosaurus in its maw and closed it shut, trapping them!

Then carrying the clam away from the path of the three ships Wonder Woman waited until they were well out of the way and released the kronosaurus, having saved the three ships with seemingly none the wiser.

Day 665: Gorra

Nefarious spy and master of disguise, Gorra was a spy working for an unspecified communist nation whose goal was to infiltrate army intelligence and make off with knowledge of all their spying operations within their unspecified communist nation.

Discovering that Diana Prince had not shown up for work that day, Gorra assumed her identity and pretended to be Diana, even pretending to be her when an amnesiac Wonder Woman showed up. However her identity was discovered by none other than Steve Trevor whose keen ability to see through disguises allowed him to easily discern that this could not possibly be Diana Prince.

Contacting Wonder Woman and getting her help to capture Gorra, Steve enlisted Wonder Woman to help find Diana Prince who he feared might have been captured or even killed by the criminals.

At this point Wonder Woman proposed a brilliant idea and suggested that if the spies know that Gorra was disguised as Diana Prince, then perhaps she should dress up as Diana Prince and pretend to be Gorra pretending to be Diana Prince.

Thus Wonder Woman donned a Diana Prince disguise despite Steve shaking his head declaring that Wonder Woman looks nothing like Diana Prince. And so it was that Wonder Woman dressed as Diana Prince began wandering the city with Steve in an attempt to lure in the spies who thinking Steve had captured Gorra, were attempting to kill him and spirit their spy away.

However thanks to Wonder Womans quick reflexes Steve found himself pushed down an open manhole, flung out of the way of a collapsing catwalk into a collection of garbage cans, and foiled a hit and run by pushing him down another open manhole.

Finally an idea came to Wonder Woman, and thus the two went to the amusment park and took the ferris wheel where all fifty spies bought tickets intending to climb from their cars and gun down steve at once. The resulting assasination was naturally foiled by Wonder Woman but a stray bullet hit her tiara, the blow happening to jar Wonder Womans memories and make her recall that she was in fact Diana Prince!

The criminals captured, Wonder Woman informed Steve that she found and rescued Diana Prince to which a relieved Steve declared that she was at last able to take off the disguise. Voicing amazement that anyone would mistake her for Diana Prince.

Day 666: Alien X
Member of an alien race of shapeshifters, X's true form is that of a being with spring-like extendable appendages, cross shaped feet, and giant bullseye targets for faces. Hailing from another galaxy which was smaller, less populated, and lacking in any massive space empires or legendary civilizations.

Looking on at the milky way galaxy with envy, this race of shapeshifters declared that they would destroy the Milky way galaxy so that theirs would be superior! Thus they would send their agents such as X to these worlds where they would shapeshift into the forms of local scientists or leaders, and devise ways to sabotage and destroy whole worlds with a simple launch of a nuke or the release of an experimental plague or the use of a world destroying earthquake machine.

Their journey taking them to Earth, X led the assult by assuming the form of professor Radion, an american nuclear physicist who was testing out the latest in thermonuclear bomb in the Navada desert.

His plan simply enough, was to tweak the bomb slightly, upgrading the payload and once the test went through, the entire world would be destroyed. However Wonder Woman noticing the space ship entering Earths atmosphere followed after it and discovered the cross shaped tracks of X as he shapeshifted into a human and headed into the testing fascility.

Thus it became a race against time as Wonder Woman searched, questioned people, lasso'd others and avoided several attempts on her life such as an effort to reverse her magnetic polarity, sending her flying into space, or an effort to set a rocket engine in front of a door to burn alive whomever opened it. Or an attempt to simply snipe Wonder Woman from afar with a laser pistol.

In the end however Wonder Woman caught X and using the magic lasso, she made him reveal their plot and with the plan foiled, X was carted off by the military for questioning.

Day 667: Paul Revere

Professional silversmith and engraver born in the year 1734, paul revere was one of the first army intelligence operatives upon whom the very existence of the present day army intelligence hinged upon~

Thus when Wonder Woman spied the statue depicting her carrying a man on horseback over her head with the date 1715, Wonder Woman naturally traveled back in time to the year 1715 to find herself in a british camp during the american revolutionary war and discovered paul revere in chains, having been captured by the british soldiers who for some reason were boasting that with paul revere captured that would be the end to Americas army intelligence!

Thus without army intelligence there would be no military unit to hire Steve and with that, no mission for Steve to go on that would lead to him crashing on Paradise Island. Thus meaning Wonder Woman would never come to leave the island, dooming the world!

Thus so it was that Wonder Woman ran into the camp, picked up Paul Revere, found a horse, put him on the horse, picked up the horse, and began running down the road ahead of the british troops calling out that the british were coming, with passerbys seeing Paul Revere on horseback and not even noticing that he was chained up or that both him and the horse were being carried by Wonder Woman.

And thus with that, Wonder Woman returned to the present.

Day 668: Professor Uxo
Villainous mad scientist of the criminal underworld, Professor Uxo was a specialist in dimensional physics whose goal like so many before, was to do away with Wonder Woman.

Well aware that it was impossible for Wonder Woman to be defeated, that none could possibly best her, and that any effort to capture, kill or otherwise overcome Wonder Woman was simply impossible, Professor Uxo came upon the notion that perhaps the secret to defeating Wonder Woman relied upon sending her away!

Thus after years of tireless research and experimentation, Professor Uxo invented the 'Time Dimension Transfer machine' a machine which would phase someone out of reality. Not sending them to another universe, but placing them out of sync with our own dimension.

A realm where they were incapable of interacting with anyone or anything. Those trapped within would know neither sleep nor hunger. Would never age and would be like ghosts able to pass through walls and see but never again be a part of the world. A twisted prison from the mind of the most sadistic and deranged.

Meanwhile Wonder Woman noticed much to her surprise that it was going into the evening while her and Steve were on a nice quiet picnic at the beachside, and that not a single person in all the universe has needed to be rescued. A first for Wonder Woman ever since she started her career.

Thinking that perhaps things were turning in their favor, the pair hitched a ride on the invisible plane, found the first available preacher they could come up with, and attempted to wed! Saying their vows, the chaplain was about to declare them husband and wife when Professor Uxo activated his machine trained on Wonder Womans specific harmonic frequency and activated it, phasing Wonder Woman out of reality and foiling the wedding!

Wonder Woman startled to discover no one could see or hear her, and any attempt to reach out and touch someone led to her simply reaching through them, Wonder Woman was rather confused by what had transpired and attempted to get to the bottom of it.

Searching first the city they were in, Wonder Woman discovered a group of men celebrating with declarations of 'Wonder Woman is no more~' which seemed like a subtle hint. Listening in on their conversation, Wonder Woman discovered the truth of the matter and followed them back to the headquarters of Professor Uxo who was the only one capable of using his machine.

Wonder Woman experimenting, found that her telepathic calls were capable of crossing the dimensional barrier and sent out a mental signal to Professor Uxo, repeating over and over "Wonder Woman is watching you~" Over and over. Non stop without rest for hours on end, the thought constantly going through the professors head and driving him mad!

Convinced that he would be forever tormented by Wonder Woman unless he put an end to her, Uxo called in his gangsters and having them pull out their tommy guns, Professor Uxo used his machine to restore Wonder Woman so they could gun her down!

However shockingly enough, Wonder Woman deflected every single bullet, captured the lot of them, and destroyed the machine, putting an end to that cruel and unusual prison.

Day 669: Wright Brothers
Orville and Wilber, two brothers who are credited with the invention of the first airplane, and taking the first sustained flight thanks to their invention of three axis control. Two of the most important figures in aviation history.

Wonder Woman discovering a statue in the Wonder Woman museum at magic college, depicting her punching a comet with the date '1903' Wonder Woman curious to discover this mystery that said she was in the year 1903 and chose to travel back in time to discover the truth!

Arriving at the indicated location, Wonder Woman discovered that she was witnessing the historic first flight of the Wright Brothers as they took off into the sky with the first heavier than air plane in its first controlled flight!

However looking up into the sky, Wonder Woman noticed something else which was quite fascinating. A terrible shower of comets flying into Earths atmosphere threatening to end the flight and lives of the Wright Brothers!

Knowing that they would be doomed and with them the future of humanity, Wonder Woman leaped high into the air past the Wright Brothers plane, lasso'd one of the comets, twirled it so it would begin flying in the opposite direction towards the others, and riding upon it, Wonder Woman proceeded to punch the other comets into tiny harmless pebbles!

And with that, Wonder Woman had discovered the truth behind all of the curious statues in the magic colleges Wonder Woman museum and returned to it...Only to find a couple dozen statue bases with blank plaques in a newly added wing.

Wonder Woman naturally asking about this, was told that these were for other adventures she had across time that they haven't yet gotten around to making statues for yet.

Day 670: Volcano Prophet

Villainous vulcanologist under the guise of a prophetic seer, the Volcano Prophet is a criminal who keeping his identity a mystery, dressed himself up in robes, and appearing in towns near extinct volcanoes, he would declare himself the volcano prophet, warning towns that the volcano would erupt that very day!

People would dismiss these claims, unaware that he had prepared chemical explosives that his hired muscle were smuggling into the volcanoes he picked out and setting them off, he would cause a massive explosion, making the volcano erupt and destroying the surrounding area.

He would travel from town to town, dooming whole regions as he spread his warnings, increasing his infamy. mt firetop which hadn't errupted in six hundred years. mt emerald which hadn't errupted in two hundred years. Mt Verde which hadn't errupted in one hundred and fifty six years.

Once he had gained alot of attention and fame for this, he proclaimed he would punish people for ignoring his warnings and from then on if anyone wanted to know when a volcano would errupt, he demanded $200,000 per volcano to declare when it would errupt. Thus communities across the world would wire him money, and the newly made millionaire would declare the erruption of a volcano, having sent his goons to make it a reality.

Wonder Woman though suspicious of this, would go on to investigate, and caught the volcano prophet in the act! Lassoing him and his goons, Wonder Woman dragged him before live television to confess to his crimes, and let the police cart him away.

Day 671: Alice Norton

Owner of the Norton circus which had been founded by her father, Alice has struggled to keep her circus going despite attempts to see it shut down, demands to hand it over to someone more male, and questions of whether she deserves it simply because her father was the previous owner.

Her most loyal companion Grimes her fathers best friend helped her to keep the circus going but mysterious accident after accident seemed to follow. Someone shooting an elephant with a drug that drove it berserk. The main pole of the tent being eaten away with acid. Poison in the cream pies. Disaster followed the circus incessantly.

Alices fiance Bill insisted she close down and give him the circus, to which Alice refused, and began to grow suspicious that her fiance must in fact be the perpetrator.

Wonder Woman hearing of Alices problems declared that she would join the circus and thus as the circus traveled from town to town, Wonder Woman was paraded as the big star of the show. Juggling elephants. Getting the lions to use the trapeze. Wonder Woman by herself was worth an entire circus and then some!

Things would come to a head when someone tried shooting at Wonder Woman which she naturally deflected, and Grimes dragged Bill from the crowd, declaring he saw Bill fire the shot which Bill denied doing.

Wonder Woman straitening things out, lasso'd both of them and discovered that it had in fact been Grimes who fired the shot, and that he had caused all of the accidents the circus faced, feeling cheated out of a circus which he felt rightfully belonged to him since he founded it alongside Alices father.

With that, the criminal was aprehended and Alice went on to form a partnership with Bill after they married, the two running their respective circuses together.

Day 672: Golden Octopus
Alien from a planet of cephalapods, Golden Octopus is an extra planetary gangster who hungering for the valuable metals and gems that were so shiny and plentiful on Earth, decided to take it for himself.

Discovering that Earth possessed criminals who hungered for wealth as he did, Golden Octopus activated a teleporter and brought a group of Earth mobsters to his home planet where he made them a proposal. Serve him and steal loot in his name, and Golden Octopus would outfit them with technology which would make them unstoppable and give them a piece of the pie to boot.

The criminals quickly agreed, and the Golden Octopus bestowed each of them with a badge of a golden octopus, which he explained would allow him to spy on their every movement and should law enforcement capture them, he would know in an instant and teleport them back to his home planet.

Thus began a massive crime spree that left police baffled as criminals would break into places, steal the loot and as police arrived, vanish into thin air. Even when the police would catch one, handcuff him, and stick the crook in the back of a paddy wagon, they would get only mocking laughter from the criminal before they would vanish into thin air.

Wonder Woman on the trail of this group managed to lasso a group of them as they were coming out of a jewellery store. But just as she commanded them to tell her the secret of their crime spree, they vanished into thin air as well!

Wonder Woman would attempt this a few more times and noticed that while the criminals differed, they all wore golden octopus badges so upon catching a group of them once more, she quickly grabbed the badge just as she asked the question, and found herself teleported to that distant alien world!

However Golden Octopus prepared for such a contingency, activated a room wide paralysis ray on the room Wonder Woman appeared in, trapping her in place. Gloating that he had all the shiny metal and gems he could ever want, the larcenous cephalapod sent his criminals back to the city to continue robbing it blind, safe in the knowledge that Wonder Woman could not stop them.

However Wonder Woman not about to give up and aware she could move her mouth, began clicking her teeth together with such force that it caused sonic booms, destroying the machinery that produced the paralysis ray. Before Golden Octopus could react, Wonder Woman ran into the other room, activated the teleporter, and sent the Golden Octopus and his criminal nare do wells to prison before returning herself back to Earth.

Day 673: John Keigh

Intrepid sailor and explorer, John Keigh hails from the 1550s, and endevored to chart the seas. However after a most terrible ship wreck, John found himself marooned on Tegurana island, home of a native people who were protected by giant stone mechanical robots which they freely piloted and patrolled the island with.

John avoiding the locals as he attempted to find a way off of the island, quickly wrote a letter explaining who he was, the date, and his location, casting it off to sea in the hopes that someone will lfind it and rescue him from certain doom, for the people of Tegurana island are violently opposed to intruders and will kill anyone foreign to their island.

Back in the present day, Wonder Woman is engaged in a contest with her fellow Amazons. For Hippolyta threw a bottle in the ocean containing a letter which announces the bearer as the winner, and cast it out to sea. Many Amazons dove into the water in search of it but Wonder Woman was the first to find it. However upon opening it, she found it to be the letter of John Keigh, asking for help.

Wonder Woman not one to refuse such a request, used the Amazonian time machine and traveled back in time to july 2nd 1555, the day after he wrote the letter, and discovered John in the clutches of one of the local giant stone robots.


Breaking the hand off of the robot and prying John loose, Wonder Woman slung him over one shoulder and swam with him back to the mainland. John thanked Wonder Woman for rescuing him and Wonder Woman was about to return to the present when she noticed a bottle on the shore which she discovered upon opening, contained another letter from someone even further back in the past asking for aid.

Wonder Womans work is never done.

Day 674: Jimmy and Ann
School children from buffalo city, Jimmy and Ann are were enjoying their recess when they noticed their teacher Miss Smith in the classroom, sobbing. The two children noting that it was time for their studies to resume and not wanting to spend overlong on their recess, asked their teacher what was wrong and reminded her that their recess ended.

Miss Smith insisting nothing was wrong, thanked them for reminding her and continued their schooling, and so the two children would ponder, deciding to wait until after school to confront her again. However shortly after school ended, their teacher was confronted by Mr. Bascom, a banker who happened to own the land the school was built upon.

Mr. Bascom declared that unless Miss Smith could raise ten thousand dollars, that he would have the school torn down to convert into farmland, declaring that children do not need education.

While Miss Smith grieved for it was impossible for her to garner that much money in the span of a week, Jimmy and Ann knew that they must save the school! Thus gathering the other school children, they plotted to find a way of daringly saving the school!

Pondering and plotting, one of the children recalled that the rodeo was coming to town on the weekend and remembered his father talking about how they made alot of money in ticket prices. This sounding like a sound idea, the children concocted a scheme.

Thus so it was on the day the rodeo rode into town, the children riding their ponies, carried a hand made sign through town declaring that they were doing a childrens rodeo which would raise money to save the school!

Day 675: Prince Alain
Ruler of some unnamed principality in Europe, Prince Alain ruled his seaside kingdom until one day he was deposed in a coup by the Black Baron who capturing Prince Alain, locked him away in Anzio river tower, which overlooked the ocean for some baffling reason.

With none outside his castle walls aware of his imprisonment, Prince Alain out of desperation wrote a letter in a bottle asking for help and cast it out to sea, explaining his situation and explaining the date was april 10th of 1086, and that he was to soon be executed by the Black Baron to secure his rule.

Wonder Woman happening upon the bottle traveled back in time just in time to witness Alain being thrown from the tower he had been imprisoned in to the ocean below. Sighting this, Wonder Woman leaped into the air, catching Alain and landed back in the very tower he had been imprisoned in.


Then declaring they would make their escape, Wonder Woman pushed aside the executioners, kicked the door off of its hinges and proceeded to make their way through the castle, warding off a barrage of spears, javelins, throwing knives, axes, clubs, ladels and water basins.

Turning her invisible lasso into a shield to keep Alain safe as she deflected projectiles and pushed their way through, Wonder Woman made it to the castle gates and turning the lasso into a giant flail, swung the unbreakable lasso at the very breakable gate, shattering it and leading to the black baron raising his army to confront them.

Spying the villain, Wonder Woman lasso'd the black baron and commanded him to surrender, ending the conflict. Thus so it was that Wonder Woman saved Prince Alain, restoring to him his kingdom. And in gratitude, he gifted Wonder Woman a bottle he found and she opened it to discover a letter...Proclaiming the one reading it to be the winner of the Amazonian bottle contest. The bottle having fallen through a rift in time and traveling into the distant past.

Day 676: Mister Randall

Owner of the Rowdy Randall Rodeo, Randall was a traveling showman who went from town to town, making a steady profit on a constant stream of rodeos and trick riders who entertained crowds and delighted thousands.

When the children of Buffalo city announced their own attempt at a childrens rodeo to compete with his own, Randall scoffed and simply arranged a parade through town in order to boost interest.

Jimmy and Ann destraught that they would be unable to raise money to save the school realized there was no possible way they could outdo Randall on his own and thus they called upon the one hero who would answer the call and rush across the country to join a childrens rodeo in the name of education. One hero who would use their public renown to help the children. One hero with an invisible plane and a magic lasso. And that hero was none other...Than Wonder Woman.

The moment Wonder Woman arrived in Buffalo, declaring that she would be joining the childrens rodeo, it made the papers with people across the country traveling to Buffalo simply to see Wonder Woman perform.

This was a disaster for Randall, for he knew it was impossible to garner more support than Wonder Woman who was a world idol. Thus pondering how to turn it to his advantage, Randall challenged Wonder Woman to a joint rodeo with the central theme being a contest between himself and Wonder Woman.

If Randall won, Wonder Woman would spend a year as his main attraction for the rodeo. But if Wonder Woman won, all proceeds garnered by the event would go towards saving the school.

Wonder Woman naturally agreed and it led into one big massive rodeo with the children being an opening act to the main draw, Wonder Woman vs Randall. The first match was a sharp shooting event, with a coin thrown into the air that must be shot.

Randall naturally made the shot putting a bullet through a penny. Wonder Woman though declaring she would use a lasso, saw the coin being tossed and throwing her lasso, caught the dime in midair, and pulled it in!

Being tied, it then became a contest to see who could strike the coin first, with both to fire at the same time, the winner being the first to get it. The coin going into the air was immediently shot at by Randall but Wonder Woman casting her lasso which moved faster than a speeding bullet lasso'd the dime and pulled it out of the way of Randalls bullet, making Wonder Woman the winner.

The next contest to prove who was better would be to have them bull riding 'Crooked Lightning' the fiercest bull that anyone had ever seen. However before the contest could begin, crooked lightning burst free of his pen, freed the other bulls and began a stampede, threatening to kill everyone!

While Randall and the others ran, Wonder Woman ran towards Crooked Lightning, leaped and landed upon the bull doing a hand stand holding one horn, and began lassoing the other bulls and pulling them away from the crowd while she worked to pacify Crooked Lightning through words instead of force.

With that, Wonder Woman tamed the entire herd and Randall in awe, declared Wonder Woman the winner, and swore to give all of the proceeds for that day to saving the school!

Day 677: Mirage-Maker

Contract criminal of deception, Mirage-Maker is a larcenous fiend who invented the mirage gun. A device which working somewhat like a camera, allows him to capture the appearance of a person and project that appearance onto another person.

Mirage-maker was determined to make a fortune with his technology but choosing less than reputable means of doing so but not wanting to get his hands dirty, he took to hiring himself out to criminals.

Using his mirage gun, he could project a criminals appearance onto a lackey, creating an alibi. Or give someone the appearance of a banker so they could simply walk out of vaults carrying sacks of loot with none the wiser.

However one day he was hired by a gang with an insidious plot in mind. Keep them from being caught while also working to ruin Wonder Womans reputation!

Their plan was simple. Knowing Wonder Woman would try to stop them, the criminals would rob a place and rely on Mirage-maler to make them look like a couple of passer-bys and then project the appearance of the criminals upon innocent onlookers who would be captured instead of them.

The moment Wonder Woman would catch the civilians, Mirage-maker would deactivate the mirage, revealing them to be innocent and playing the part of an innocent onlooker, he would declare that Wonder Woman was incompetent and let criminals get away while she was accosting innocent people.

Meanwhile with Wonder Woman distracted, the criminals would make their getaway with the loot, having outsmarted Wonder Woman. Mirage-Maker was surprisingly successful in this endeavor.


His operation working a half dozen times upon Wonder Woman until she noticed that while every criminal was different and every robbery was at a different place, Mirage-Maker just so happened to be in every single place this occured. The only onlooker to coincadently be at every robbery.

Thus using Robot Wonder Woman to catch the criminals, Wonder Woman sat back and watched from a distance as the illusion was dropped and spied the criminals sneaking into a back alley. Catching them and dragging them out, she proceeded to lasso Mirage-Maker, forcing him to confess to his crimes before carrying the lot of them off to jail.

Day 678: Harry Smith
Transporter in an olde western town, Harry Smith was traveling by wagon to an olde western town with money for the bank across the prairie when he was confronted by pirates!

Shocked at the sight of a ship traveling across the wide open plain, Harry stared dumb founded as canon fire sent the horses into a panic and his wagon tipping over. Harry and the money captured, it seemed like there was no possible escape. But finding a way to break the bars off of the cell he was trapped in, Harry at the dead of night leaped from the ship and breaking his leg, he would be found atop a mountain a great distance from where he had been caught.

Eventually making his way back to the town with stories of pirates and a ship sailing the prairie, Harry Smith was soon placed in prison and accused of coming up with the whole story as a cover for stealing the money for himself!

Harrys fiance protesting his innocence, sent word to Wonder Woman, requesting that she use the magic lasso to prove he was telling the truth. Naturally, Wonder Woman arrived and using the lasso she confirmed his story which even with Wonder Woman, had the townsfolk to incredulous to believe it.

Thus Wonder Woman deciding to get to the bottom of this, spread a rumor that she was traveling with a shipment of one million dollars by wagon across the prairie. Sure enough halfway through her trip Wonder Woman was assailed by pirates sailing a galleon on wheels across the open range! The powerful winds propelling that sailing ship which captured Wonder Woman who appeared unconcerned.

Wonder Woman playing the part of a captive asked them questions and discovered that they had a collapsible balloon built into the ship which allowed it to go into the air, and that their loot was being kept in their secret lair up in the mountains which was only reachable via airship or dirigible.

Wonder Woman getting everything she needed, then proceeded to effortlessly break her restraints, captured the pirates, and collecting all of their loot, returned it to their proper owners.

With that, Harry Smith was cleared of all charges and was freed to go. All thanks to Wonder Woman.

Day 679: Moonbeam the Leprechaun
One of the leprechauns of Shamrock land and friend of Wonder Womans, Moonbeam like other Leprechauns is dedicated to combating the evil spirits and evil creatures of magic which lie in wait for a moments weakness so they may strike against the world and torment a populace who is utterly defenseless against the mechanizations of magic.

So when a terrible force lays low the leprechauns leaving them helpless, Moonbeam mannaged to smuggle a letter to Wonder Woman under the noses of evil in the hopes that she could succeed where they had failed and saved the world from dark magic!

So when Wonder Woman recieves a mysterious letter, she opens it to find it blank. Naturally her first response is to get some lemon juice and apply it to the paper, to no effect. Thus Wonder Woman puzzled over it when her keen eyesight noted some tiny indentatons in the paper.

So grabbing a handful of sand from her fish tank, Wonder Woman squeezed her fist, turning it into a magnifying lense and examined the paper to discover tiny writing that would be impossible to make out without magnification even for someone like Wonder Woman.

And thus reading it, Wonder Woman found out the truth. The leprechauns had been miniturized by the forces of evil and only Wonder Woman could prevent evil spirits from taking over the world with the help of Nilremo, the evil Leprechaun wizard.

Day 680: Tabarra
Amazon of Paradise Island, Tabarra was one of the many Amazons who participated in the contest of the tiara. An event held periodically after an unspecified period of time wherin Wonder Woman must prove she has the right to be the princess of the Amazons by competing against those willing to challenge her in a gauntlet that weeds competitors out until only one remains.

The first contest being a race across a collection of nine pins on a one mile stretch of track, any Amazon who falls during this is disqualified. Naturally Tabarra and Wonder Woman both pass this trial, with fourteen other Amazons remaining.

The second challenge had the competitors blind folded with their arms bound behind their back as they would run a one mile track with their fellow Amazons trying to lasso them. Tabarra was forced to rely on her instincts to know when she was about to be caught and use her reflexes to avoid the torrent of lasso's which attempted to capture her and her fellow Amazons.

In the end, only Tabarra and Diana passed this challenge leading to the final leg of the contest. A hundred rings placed in a horizontal line in a half mile stretch across the coliseum. The objective? Leap from one end to the other without touching any of the rings. A feat which required an incredible amount of control, strength, and precision.

Tabarra gave it her all but even with all of her Amazon training she only got 2/3rds of the way through before she hit one of the precariously hung hoops, causing the line to snap and the hoop to fall on the ground.

Thus it came down to Wonder Woman and once the ring was put back up Diana made the leap and to the applause of many, she made it through, proving herself worthy as their princess and winner of the contest of the tiara.
